Perfect location and friendly staff. Building is old but the junior suite is very nice
Location - Location - Location!
This place is basically at the main square. Amazing location. We love how close this is to everything. Walking distance to every main attraction, markets and shopping. Hotel is a bit dated but for what you get, I would stay here again. Bathrooms are smelly, like bad sewage fumes but for sleep only, this place is perfect.
I was accompanying two elderly family members. The location was very convenient. The staff were very accommodating and supportive of my family. This was our second stay. We will stay here again.
Great location .
Would stay here again
Solo traveler. I found the room basic, but very clean with a great staff and incredible location.
Central Brugge.
For an overnight stay,a bed is all you need. Small room for 2 people but adequate. Staff could not have been more helpful. Very polite and offered help and advise on seeing some of the city. Check in very efficient.
Excellent location
Fantastic couple of days. We will be back.
Friende and polite stuff and best location 👌
Very convenient location and the staff was helpful
The rooms are extremely basic and very antiquated. Mattress terrible decor awful. Got bitten several times by mosquitoes in the room . No br akfast facilities at all. Great location but truly poor property
Location is amazing
Location, Location, location… Right off the main square close to all the restaurants and shopping.. the bed was very comfy as well.
Convenient to everything, with walking distance to main atraccións
Not a first choice
Super kind staff and very convenient but the spot is old and a bit tired. Wouldn’t be a first choice but if it was cheaper than I found it for, it could be worth it.
Good location during the day, and the staff were very friendly and helpful at check in. However, the bed was broken, and my window opened up to a pub that was open and loud until 3am. The facilities and decor were very dated and there were mosquitoes in the room. Could not possibly have slept another night here
Nice hotel with a Bert good and central location. Very helpfull staff!
This place is gorgeous and will transport you back in time without compromising on modern comforts. We stayed in the Junior Sweet and it was hands down the coolest hotel experience I have ever had. Would recommend to anyone looking for a unique and stay while enjoying the preservation of the midevil architecture Brugge protects so greatly.
Great location next to the main square. The terrace was a nice shared space except that at night the smoke drafted right into our room.
Perfect location for visiting Bruges! Staff was welcoming and inviting. Location right in one of the main hubs of the city. Lots to do and eat within a 3 minute walk out of the hotel's lobby. We had a fantastic time staying here! Only note is that the room was a bit stale and dusty and my wife had a hard time with her allergies while we were staying here.
Although the property is very central, the rooms are average, nothing special about the room.
Location cannot be beat. Literally, the best location ever. However, the pictures aren't at all reflective of the accommodation. We were concerned when we walked into the overly cluttered lobby (why the extra catd table in front of the check in desk, we do not know) and were told the luggage storage was this room that was actually their bathroom (appeared not usuable). When we walked in our actual room, all we could do was laugh. The last update for the bathroom must have been in the 60s or 70s when this "pod" (literally like a self contained compartment) was added. The kitchen was strangely cobbled together, which gaps where things had not been installed. Since we only planned to sleep there and the bedding and room was clean, we decided not to look for other accommodations, but please beware that the pics online are much nicer than reality.
Nope!!
Other than the location, there is little to recommend about this hotel.
Would come back again.
The hotel was nice. We stayed in the Family room. It had a room with a big bed with shower, kitchen, and three bwds with the toilet. Typical European hotel with no AC so it got warm at night. They did provide 2 fans that were uaeful. The weird thing was when you were in the shower, it would be fine, thwn go scolding hot. You had to rurn it all the way cold or it would stay scalding hot. Nithing ro reall complain about. The location to the main square was perfect. Just a 2 min walk if that.
The person at the reception was so nice and in an excellent way to comunícate, because this kind gentleman was multilingual. And we had a good conversation in Spanish. Thank you so much!!
Excellent location and friendly staff. Main part of the room was good, but the bathroom was cramped and needed minor repairs. There was a lot of noise from corridors, stairs and other rooms until late evening.
It was right in the middle of the old town. Very convenient a d allowed me to walk everywhere. The only issue I had was the constant banging during the night. Not sure what it was.
Location was great but subpar otherwise. Staff was friendly and helpful but property itself was very run down. If all you’re doing is sleeping there and don’t really need anything but a bed, this property is sufficient. But it is overpriced even so. You’re paying for location and I found that there are better options in this area at better value.
Quirky
The hotel is brilliantly situated just seconds from the main square. There was no breakfast at the hotel although this wasn't a problem. The unusual thing about our room was the bathroom. It was exactly like a bathroom on an overnight ferry. The beds were large and comfy. Overall, no complaints
Really enjoyed this property , close to the city and helpful staff
Great find!
Really friendly reception, great value and comfortable room
Good location and nice size room for family. Friendly staff
Great location
cashed out 12€ extra fee for separating beds even when price was FOR double bed OR two separated. doesn't offer the breakfast, so information here is wrong
The staff was all very helpful and personable, and the location could not have been better!
The staff were so welcoming and very helpful! The location could not be any better, as it is located right in the city center and walkable pretty much anywhere. The place is very cheap, and the quality is great!
Everything was very good
Perfect location, friendly staff
The location of the hotel was just steps aways from the main square! I cannot believe I found such an affordable gem. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and the room was perfect - it was clean and comfortable after a long day of exploring. There are so many restaurants nearby and a Carrefour express too. This hotel is not a luxury place, but it was more than suitable for staying in a touristy town like Bruges. I would stay here again!
The hotel is in a great location, very close to the center of town. It has a unique layout and our room was very spacious and could accommodate a large group.
Excellent location. Friendly staff. Old but clean and comfortable. Upgraded to the family suite.
Great property, very centrally located. There's no parking available directly at the hotel, but there are public lots very close by. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, and were great about making recommendations. All in all, this was a really great place to stay, and was significantly more affordable than other properties in the area.
Comfort in Brugge? You're in the right place
A slice of comfort in central Brugge. They leave you to your own devices somewhat when it comes to the housekeeping, and they don't do breakfast, but neither of those things are a problem.
We had a wonderful stay!
Amazing location just off market square. Very friendly and helpful staff. Although it could do with a bit of modernising, our room was clean, comfortable and very spacious. We had great time.
Honestly for the price it was good. But someone needs to tell the workers that the halls echo and 12am is not an appropriate time to refill the maid carts.
Friendly staff and situated perfectly for our needs
This hotel has a great location close to all. Also, it provides an excellent option for the price. The room had a kitchen that can serves to cook as there is a Carrefour in the plaza. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Fabulous budget hotel. Staff were so friendly and efficient. Spotlessly clean. Lots of steps to our room which was fine for us but check if you have mobility issues. Practically on the major market square should perfectly placed to explore beautiful Brugge. Decor not perfect reflected in the two star rating. Would definitely book again but directly with the hotel or other site as the app on this site is not good and communication to the property was impossible so had to email direct. Enjoy!!!
I truly cannot recommend this property as a good choice. The location was great but that isbtrue of a huge number of other properties in the central area of Bruges. The hair dryer was so minimal in force that it was almost impossible to use. I spent part of every shower trying to get the curtain straightened out and not glued to me. The bed was uncomfortable. Had the hotel been dirt cheap I would have taken that in stride. It was quite expensive for what I got, and not a good value for the money.
Great and I mean great location..just a few steps away from the Christmas market.... friendly, professional and helpful staff...very clean hotel and very quiet...
The strongest point of this hotel is its central location, just a couple of minutes from the main square. It was wonderful to sip coffee in the morning while watching the Belfort medieval bell tower from the window; this is something you cannot see every day. The receptionist was very kind and friendly, and check-in ran so smoothly. The room was clean but extremely narrow. I could barely walk between the bed and the wall. The washroom was the narrowest I have ever seen in a hotel, with a surface of perhaps just a couple of square meters. Sink, shower and WC were contiguous with very little space left. I could basically stand or sit on the WC but not walk. The washroom was located just behind the bed and the door was not closing, so I needed to hold it to have privacy. The room was hot but with no air conditioner, so I did not sleep very well. The cost (163,18 euro/night) was too high for a single room in such conditions, even in high season (9-10 September). I will not go back to this hotel, unless I find no better options.
Great customer service, secure night time access, very clean and perfect city centre location just off the main square
Nice Hotel
Great Location
perfect location, all turist locations are walking distance, building is old but rooms are clean
Excellent location, very humorous staff.
Brilliant position, quirky, room was tired and bed too soft but the position was the pay off and we enjoyed ourselves
Postive; the property is well located near the Belfort and close to the Train Station. Everything is within a short walking distance. Staff was super nice and helpful. Negative; the property needs much work in terms of maintenance (lift did not work) and common areas are full of clutter. The bathroom in the room smelled like potato peels. The carpet in the room smelled bad. Also, we had bugs in the room.
Muy cerca del centro Excelente locación
Geat location 10/10, condition is ok 7/10 staff is very supportive 9/10
Great location. Room was clean. Staff kindly allowed an early check-in. Would stay again!
-
The front desk people were the best! - welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly. The property itself is great, our room turned out to be much bigger than it appeared to be on the photos. We were traveling with 4 children and this place was absolutely the best choice we have made.
Amazing location!
LOVED IT!!! Such a nice place to stay in Bruges. Very clean and extremely comfortable beds. Nice staff, GREAT location - definitely should stay here
Very friendly staff. Let us get in early which was appreciated.
Great central location. It was so convenient to wander Bruges. Close to many attractions and to restaurants. Easy to get to from the train station (take the free shuttle).
Nice and clean
Very nice staff and very centrally located.
Great location
Fantastic location right off the square. Good space for a family to spread out, friendly service. Was a little noisy due to the bar downstairs but we were all so tired it didn’t impact us too much. Would definitely recommend and return ourselves.
Just off the main square, so a great base to explore the city. Room was good, staff great.
Excellent service, great staff. Thank you. Would recommend. Brilliant price.
The good: great room, fantastic location, good bathroom, efficient wifi, very comfortable bed, loads of space. The bad: no breakfast, a bit dated/basic/quirky, needs a new kettle. Nearly didn’t book because of the other reviews. Really glad we did. Perfect spot for 4 days exploring in Bruges!
Lovely hotel in a great location
The hotel is very convenient to all the places nearby and the lovely Christmas market. The staff is super nice and it was really simple to check in. They have lift which makes it easier to get upstairs. I also really enjoyed the tea and hot water maker in the room. Lovely hotel :)
Real basic.ok if the price is good, great location
Great location. Basic room, but clean { I did like mine, wich didn't have carpet "what I love" but I see some room with carpet ... that I beleive have seen better days ;) Not a glamurous hotel, but if the price is right, good place to stay. My room was 2 single beds about 3 foot wide each... Really soft . So soft that it gave the impression to felt to one side or the other.if not in the midle.. It didnt bother me, but I guess some may not like it, why I mention it... especially if a xtra large person { I am 6 foot 200 pound} personaly it was ok with me... I would probably considere returning to the sameplace { and same room with out carpet} if I could get a good price, and was to return to Bruges. If I was to bring my mom, I would pick another place... but by myself or with a friend looking for a convinent location & if at a good price... I would return.
The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally located steps away from the central market square, within walking distance or free shuttle from the train station.
Simple, no extras. We had a family type room worked great for us, but dated. Great great location!!
The room was quaint with a kitchenette. The decor was beautiful with exposed beams. The bathroom was clean and modern. We absolutely loved this place
Nice hotel in great location. Decor a bit tired but rest of features make up for it. Discount on bike hire from hotel
Can't beat the location of this property which is A 100' from the main square in the Old Town . Small place, comfortable bad comfortable bad, not a lot of amenities but can't beat the price in location Front desk was nice and went out of there way to change around rooms to better suit suit us
Room is a bit compact but this place is great value for money…room/bed is comfortable, staff is attentive, nice, and on top of things. Make sure to rent your bicycle for a discounted rate from here instead of going to another vendor.
This hotel is right in the centre of Bruges, an advantage in some ways but a problem when overcoming the difficulties of providing good quality accommodation in an older building. The reception area was particularly cramped. Our room had coomb ceilings at the bed and a small shower area. Overall, it was comfortable enough.
Tired hotel in great location
Location is excellent for the centre of Bruges, just a few moments walk to the central square with many restaurants and shops in easy reach. The hotel however was rundown and tired and needed a lot of work to bring it back to life. Our family room was very tight for space but did offer cooking facilities had we needed them (but we didn’t). The shower was hanging off the wall, and the drain cover on the bathroom floor lifted when you walked on it. The best bit was a lovely balcony which at least gave us space to sit in the evening. There was a type of air conditioner but it didn’t really work and there was no simple fan, so the room was uncomfortably hot although we did visit during some of hottest days of the year (August 22).
Poor condition rooms
Short trip to Bruge
Great location, good hotel, just the job for a sightseeing tour. Facilities are basic but suitable for our needs
Great hotel
The hotel was good and very spacious for family of 5, the person at the reception was very friendly and understanding when we arrived and tried to help us how to get to the hotel as Brugge is one way system everywhere. I would definitely recommend the hotel as it’s right in the square where all the restaurants are. If I would go back I will definitely stay there won’t look anywhere else. Thank you for your service.
Good location but dated hotel
Hotel location ideal for visiting Bruges, - cleanliness ok - but if it is luxury you are looking for then don’t look here
Great location right in the centre of town. Hotel needs a lot of love and attention. Stains on carpets, beds not great, walls paper thin, TV not working properly, set of lights not working properly. Bathtub shower unit had a lot to be desired. Staff, freindly enough. No cleaning of room for 4 days due to Covid restrictions. 12.00 check out & happy enough to store luggage for a later collection. Didn't use any of the hotels facilities.
The hotel has no air conditioning, and the single fan in the room could hardly be considered a fan. We were "upgraded" to a room with a terrace that was over a noisy bar which made it even more difficult to sleep with the doors open, but necessary with the heat. I'm sure in the winter it's a good budget find and the location is good, but don't make the same mistake we did.
Great location, but refurb overdue
Great location, but the place needs a serious refurb, as the furniture/carpets seem to be well past their prime.
Have stayed here many times over the past 25 years, always polite, friendly service. Not the most modern hotel, but warm and comfortable. Excellent value for money.
Perfect for sightseeing.
Perfect location for sightseeing Good breakfast value and choice.
Great place!
Excellent service, location and venue. 100 % recommended!
Nice Hotel in the City Centre of Bruges
We heard mixed reviews about Het Koffieboontje but I am happy to say it generally met expectations and served out purpose, which was to have a convenient location from which to explore Bruges. Good things: - FABULOUS location in that we were literally right behind the belfry. - Excellent and helpful staff that will do everything possible to assist in your arrangements. - Quiet and private at night despite the proximity to the centre. The property is slightly on the older side and do not expect a 5-star experience but we did see where they were trying to improve it and the room itself was clean, so it looks like they have taken previous feedback into account.
Receptionist helped us with the card to access room, when it didn't work for us, she kindly came up to the room to assist. The breakfast room was open from 7.30am each morning which was very helpful to us. The lady who set up the breakfast and served us during the breakfast was pleasant and worked very hard to ensure everything was available and replenished as required. There was only one person doing this role and we appreciate her excellent service.
Great location
Awesome location, loved it. Room was comfortable.
Good location for the Christmas market but definitely a budget hotel
I was really worried about staying here after reading some of the reviews. On check in the man on reception drew a map for a great walk to do, the hotels location is superb just off the main square, it has a quirky layout but the kids loved that, could probably do with updating, the room was great for 5 of us, clean , spacious & we could see the bell tower. There was no noise whatsoever but it may be different in the summer. The pub downstairs was great for a nightcap really pleasant stay only drawback was a little pricey. Would definitely stay there again
My view of the window was incredible. Great location. They speak English very well.
The hotel was exceedingly well-located right by the market square and the Belfort. The family suite we booked was spacious and well-equipped but very drab and lacking in any character. The room with the toilet (separate from the main bathroom) smelt of cigarette smoke. The breakfast was adequate but the pastries were stale.
Beds location staff
Staff amazing. Checked in late. 3 of us triple room. Right in the centre. Public car park walking distance. Beds so comfy! Will definitely at here when in Bruges again!
