Great customer service! Very clean and good location!
Tired so called superior room with laminate floor peeling. Comfortable bed until you sat up when the bed would move away from the headboard. Lovely big wardrobe but the doors couldn't be opened fully making the draws inaccessible and thereby useless. Spacious bathroom but need attention as there are areas of dirt around the shower door. The lobby area is not inviting and feels sparse. The stairwell is dank with threadbare carpets but some has tried to brighten it up with emojis over the lights. It hasn't worked. Staff were very pleasant and helpful but didn't give any information about Jerez or ask if we wanted any.
Tired decor, superior room far from it. Wooden floor peeling terrace in need of refurb, air con didn't cool but heated whilst set on lowest cooling, TV positioned such that the wardrobe doesn't open fully so the drawers inside cannot be opened more than 5cm, lovely wide bed but too wide for the room
Reception staff was good. Room cleaning crew did not pay much attention to details
It took us an hour to find the parking. Very difficult. No street signs how can you find?
Fantastic location
Nice place and quiet
Hood
Great hotel. Thanks, till the next time
This property has enormous balconies with nice views if you book a balcony room. Staff was friendly and responsive to our needs. Parking was convenient, and the location was convenient to walk to old town. I only wish there were more cafes in the immediate vicinity, but you can get breakfast at the hotel or walk about 10 minutes to old town.
Old but nice
Very old hotel but very nice stay and just been taken over by Barcelo group
The staff was wonderful from the reception to all areas. We felt at home. The little details from the staff were all appreciated.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff
The room we were given looked nothing like the photographs , it was small dark and overlooked by other rooms . We were also next to a boiler room and it was very noisy at night , we had v little sleep . and dark , ove squar
Very spacious bedroom. Excellent equipped bathroom. Liked magnifying mirror with light above. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in room, but guess that's just because I'm British! Very pleasant and helpful reception staff.
Perfect location
Perfect location, very friendly staff, very clean, parking was amazing, we had a lovely stay.
Good hotel in city centre
Very good centric hotel in the city center walking g distance to most places
Parking on site and next to the old town. Perfect for us
The hotel was in a brilliant location The rooms spotless .the staff were lovely and helpful I would stay there again
Needs another safety bar in the shower tub. I suggest taking out the mirror and placing it in that wall
An impressive exterior is let down by an overly bright and charmless reception. The bar is entirely lacking in charm - although the staff are friendly. Room was adequate with a large terrace. Breakfast was good.
Personal amable y colaborador con los clientes. Buena ubicación.
Looks dated.
Decent central hotel
I’ve visited the lovely city of Jerez many times and stayed here previously. It’s a decent hotel for the price and perfect location in city centre. Quick and friendly check-in. Bed comfy, bathroom bit dated. Think hotel could improve the lobby and bar area and make it a little less sterile.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast.
The staff was professional and helpful ( except for the breakfast staff); rooms were spacious with plenty of storage, comfortable beds, functional bathroom. However, the hotel needs major renovation or at least some decir, air conditioning in the common areas and hallways ( feels stuffy$, and the mini fridges need to actually cool their products. The staff did go out of their way to help, usually say hello, etc. I just don’t think it’s a 4 star hotel but it more than serves the function of sleeping, safety and a decent breakfast!
central
Excellent hotel very central and within walking distance of the centre with adequate parking facilities and very friendly staff
Good hotel great staff
Good central hotel at a good price. Front desk staff are top notch and were very helpful booking tickets etc.
Convenient Comfort in Jerez
Great, but short, stay in Jerez. Modern, clean hotel. Staff was very friendly. Parking was cheap and convenient. We checked out before breakfast but the reception desk clerk kindly made me a coffee to go! Highly recommend!
We had a very comfortable stay. The people at the front desk were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfasts were delish and plentiful - both hot and cold selections. Location is very close to the Arenal Plaza, shops and many fine restaurants and bars. Would stay here again.
The hotel is very well located. You can walk to many of the sights in town.
Very good :)
Not a four star hotel
We reserved a double room (two twin beds) with a terrace and were assigned Room 403. The terrace was nice, but the room was small and plain, in mediocre condition, with quite a bit of street noise, in spite of being on the top floor. Included buffet breakfast was good, not outstanding, location was walking distance from old town attractions. Minor annoyances: no USB charging ports, only English language TV channel was National Geographic, minimal drawer/hanger space, tiny desk. Based on services, amenities and condition, this hotel is three star, definitely not four.
Great hotel with amazing location. room was very comfortable. Receptionist was very helpful and service with a smile, we had a lovely stay. The only thing we missed was a kettle in the room but a coffee machine is located in the lobby free of charge.
Excellent Hotel Excellent Location Excellent Service Great Value
Great Hotel
Only a one night stay but the fabulous service from all concerned was a delight, reception staff were absolutely first class, helpful friendly and a pleasure to deal with, the bar staff lady on the evening of our stay was also very pleasant and helpful as well. Overall a lovely stay.
Excellent family hotel
I really loved this hotel. The check in was great. The 2 ladies on the front desk could not have been nicer. The family room we had was lovely. The kids ran around it very pleased with the thoughtful kids touches of bright colours table and toys. We will stay again definitely.
excellent service great location
excellent service great location,
Comfortable rooms in a historic building
Historical building with modern hotel rooms. Great location next to the old town. Paid parking available beneath the hotel. A fair bit of traffic noise if you have a room on the street. Good breakfast-only restaurant.
Highly recommended!
Great location, clean, comfortable. Friendly staff. Loved the restaurant Rigodon which was about a 7 minute walk from hotel. Loved the lamb and couscous with vegetables. Would stay here on next visit. . Also loved the breakfast. Fried eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit, and juices.
Reception staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The location of the hotel was excellent.
Great location, warm welcome
Warm welcome in a perfect location. Rooms were well equipped and extremely clean. Front desk team were very helpful in providing directions and offering tips on places to visit and eat. Highly recommended for a stay in Jerez.
Great location for attractions. No view from room . Overlooked by offices across courtyard
Handy location near a taxi rank and close to a stop for the big red tour bus for Jerez. Reception staff were quite friendly and checked us in with no problem, but later on requesting a rubber non-slip bath mat, they were baffled! Someone in housekeeping must have known though, because we did get one. Only toiletries supplied are in 2 soap type dispensers, one by the sink and one by the bath. Take your own shower cap if you need one. Breakfast is good, a great selection of fresh fruit, cooked meats and cheeses, bacon (Spanish streaky), eggs, yogurt etc. I didn’t see any porridge and sometimes items were slow to be replaced, but we were quite impressed by the variety of food on offer. The bar was open late and we found the prices competitive. The hotel met our needs well, but it does lack atmosphere - a business hotel really. Horses and Carriages were always outside if you fancy a ride - sorry, but we didn’t ask the price. We would stay at the Tryp again.
Excelent position, close to all turistic atracctions
Very eco friendly,.................................
The hotel is right in the centre so we could walk everywhere, Parking is underground at € 12 a day and a lift brings you to reception.
5 nights in Jerez 10/15th April
Nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. Good choices at breakfast. Our room overlooked part of the Easter procession so we had a good view. Nearby was the amazing horse show. We also took a day trip to Cadiz which was very easy via the train. Albores restaurant in Jerez was very good but making a reservation is recommended We did two sherry tours, Tio Pepe and Sandeman. Thought the later was the best value for money. Only negative was street noise which impacted on sleep quality. Some heavier drapes and/or better glazing would assist.
Basic hotel in a great location.
The rooms seemed a little worn--particularly the sofa in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful, though, and the location was fantastic--very close to the main historical area and lively. Good value for location.
Quiet relaxed atmosphere. Staff all helpful. Cleaners good. Comfortable beds. Massive choice for breakfast.
TRYP is in a great place, a five minute walk from the central plaza. We didn't spend a great deal of time in the hotel because Jerez is such a fantastic city, we were out exploring its delights. It would have been nice to have tea & coffee facilities in the room but other than this, our stay was perfect.
Friendly hotel
Very good I have been for tenth times already
Jerez is a lovely small city, and this was a great hotel right in the center of town. Decent-sized room and bathroom, nice linens, comfortable beds and pillows, mini fridge, very friendly and helpful staff. We had no view, but the room was very quiet as a result. Parking in the garage was easy. The breakfast buffet was extensive (including eggs and bacon), and they had an espresso machine with real coffee in addition to the usual hotel automatic machine. Furniture was a bit worn, and there are were some dings in the floor, but nothing objectionable. I'd be happy to stay here again.
Excellent and great location!
Great location as only a short walk from the city centre. The staff were great and without asking offered us an umbrella as it was raining. Breakfast had a good range of items mostly cold but a couple of hot items.
Quality Central Hotel
Great hotel in the centre of Jerez and close to Sherry Bodegas especially Sandemans
Fabulous stay in TRYP, Jerez de la Frontera
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at TRYP The staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially when arranging tours. They even went above and beyond when the coffee machine was not working by bringing a coffee to my room. The hotel was clean, nicely decorated and well maintained. Can't say enough about the fabulous breakfast - definitely worth the €9 a day. Only downsides were the wi-fi in the room which was a erratic - the signal was not strong. Amenities like shampoo, lotions, shower cap, are limited.
Excellent located hotel
A great range of good food for breakfast. Definitely something for everyone. We had a standard room and it was plenty spacious enough. Reception staff, breakfast staff and the cleaners were pleasant and friendly. Town centre only a few minutes away. Less than 20 minutes to bus and train stations and taxi rank right outside hotel.
Ideal location and lovely hotel
Hotel was centrally located for a great choice of bars and restaurants and for lovely walks around Jerez.
Knowledgeable & Very Friendly Staff/ Nice Hotel
Hotel staff were excellent. They were very knowledgeable and accommodating. The hotel is within a 15" walk of the major sites and Flamenco street. I would absolutely stay here again when in Jerez.
Comfortable stay
Good location, friendly staff, clean modern room.
Very nice hotel and great location.
Very nice hotel near to squares, tapas restaurants etc. Car parking in the hotel’s underground car park was €12 for 24 hours. Breakfast buffet was good.
Pleasantly surprised at the high standard of this hotel which was perfectly located for the towns central location. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Quaint hotel close to town centre
One night stay on business with very attentive staff. Room was comfortable and the breakfast good quality.
Nice hotel
The hotel was excellent on all fronts, if you are visiting Jerez I would recommend this hotel. Staff very friendly at clean throughout, and ideal for the cathedral and other areas.
Very close to city centre so everywhere is easily accessible by foot. Hotel staff very friendly and breakfast was excellent.
Good hotel close to the centre of Jerez
Very helpful and pleasant staff, good size rooms. In walking distance of all points of interest in Jerez.e
Pleasant hotel in Jerez
Good 4day break in Jerez. Hotel good. All staff really pleasant. Breakfast good with an adequate choice. Think it would suit most tastes. Bed a little disappointing, mattress cover made us very warm and bed got to be uncomfortable after a couple of days, but that's personal preference. Hotel very quiet at night, made for a better sleep. Preferences were noted and met. Location good, everywhere walkable. A good holiday. Would use the hotel again.
Great location. tasty breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff
Excellent hotel close to the City centre
This was a return visit as we were so impressed on our first visit. Equally satisfied this trip, all staff are very friendly and helpful and will organise trips and tickets etc. Super breakfast buffet and very clean hotel. Location great near old town.
Tio Pepe meets Ibn Battuta
Jerez was our base for horses, sherry, Gibraltar and Tangier. We had a great time. The hotel was ideal for our needs.
We had a wonderful time in your hotel.clean, big room. Very nice breakfast as well. We enjoyed our stay n pretty Jerez.
Nice hotel, centrally located
Very nice hotel, located close to the historic part of the city. Close to restaurants. Has its own secure parking, but there is also free street parking within a 10-15 minute walk. We got the family room, with whimsical colors on the walls and a separate area with bunk beds for the kids. The hotel provided a welcome package for the kids, including a little bedtime snack box with animal shaped sweets.
nice hotel in a great town
great breakfast!
Tryp hotel Jerez
Excellent hotel.Position was really central for sightseeing. Plenty of very reasonable priced restaurants with excellent food and very friendly staff.
Near old town
Hotel well located. Room was fine but would have liked tea and coffee making facilities. Apparently only available for upgraded rooms. Parking was more than I've paid at other hotels in Spain which has varied from €5 down to nil. This was €10 per night. Breakfast was adequate and we had a good snack supper one evening at the bar. Hotel receptionist who greeted us was delightful.
Great location, close to main sights, hotel staff very friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable!
Horrible hotel
Staff tried to charge us for the room when we had prepaid and unapologetic when challenged. Horrible, tacky decor with some IKEA furniture - not fitting of a 4 star hotel and how much we paid. The refit just looks tacky. The room smelt. The air conditioning didn't work terribly well. The room felt claustrophobic and the window faced a wall. The corridor on level 1 stuck of cigarette smoke. Unimpressed given price.
Well located hotel
Very good location for foot access to all parts of the city of Jerez. Staff dont seem over happy and miss many opportunities to communicate. All very efficient. Modern and slightly dated interior of an old classic building. Need a make over soon, some areas getting worn. External bedrooms with opening widows but not doors, Extra supplement not worth the benefit. Bathrooms good with good size bath. Nights cool and no warm air con facility so extra blanket may be needed. Breakfast very expensive, eat locally more fun. WiFi was patchy and often went off. Needs a roof terrace of pavement seating
Good value, quality hotel
Hotel one of best 4 star rated I have stayed in. Room service good quality and value for money. Location of hotel ideal. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone staying in Jerez.
Three nights in Jerez
Centrally placed hotel with modern facilities behind an old facade. We had a pleasant stay and found the staff helpful with site seeing information etc.
Convenient and comfortable.
Great location, near restaurants and city sights. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Good place to stay in Jerez
This was a friendly hotel in the centre of Jerez. The room was comfortable although the bathroom was a little tired. Breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of food. There is ample parking underneath the hotel and reception were very helpful in organising restaurant and excursion reservations.
Hotel is centrally located.
We were able to walk everywhere. The hotel staff was wonderful and very helpful in every way. Breakfast was great with many choices. If we return to Jerez, there is no doubt we will stay there again.
Comfort, location!!!!
This is the 2nd time I stayed in Tryp Jerez as a solo traveler. Love the service, comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, but specially the location!!!
Great centrally located hotel
Tryp Jerez was easy to find with friendly staff and comfortable rooms with good convenient safes in the room. They have ample parking garage for 10 euros which we found cheap for the area. Breakfast buffet has over 70 selections!!! Great find. We decided to book again during our stay in Spain.
A very good hotel in a a great location
Good clean room. Comfy beds. Nice staff. Good choice at breakfast. Did what it said on the tin.
Nice hotel
Excellent front desk
Modern hotel in an old building
Nice hotel in a good location. Waited a long while at the bar to be served but then reception gave her a call and she appeared straight away. Good breakfast.
Another great stay at The Tryp Jerez
Short break in the Sherry Region of Spain
Excellent Hotel close to the old town
We stayed here for three nights 9 to 12 September. Very impressed with hotel and staff, excellent service, nothing was too much trouble. They reserved tickets for Flamenco show whilst we were out for the day which were ready on our return. Hotel is very clean, rooms are comfortable and quiet and the breakfast buffet is superb. Well worth including in your booking. The hotel is close to the old town of Jerez and all the places of interest, and a walk to the station is only about 20 minutes. Its in a good location and easy to find. Would definitely recommend this hotel had a great stay in this beautiful city.
HOTEL TRYP JEREZ A GOOD VALUE
I was there three nights and enjoyed the included buffet breakfast. The staff is very accommodating, but the lobby cafeteria doesn't open until 5 pm. The hotel is part of the Melia chain if you belong to that rewards program.
Perfect
Hotel very close to old town. Room basic but clean
Breakfast good but difficult to get freshly cooked eggs. Window in room looked onto a wall. Easy walking distance to old town and shops
excellent location
clean , well located hotel. hotel staff are wonderful. breakfast was great. it even has parking!!
Nice hotel in the heart of the flamenco culture
Excellent hotel in the center of Jerez, close to attractions, flamenco tabancos and theaters. The amenities are great, breakfast and bar with plenty of choices and dedicated staff. Avis rental car conveniently located in the hotel.
A week away in Jerez
Often spend a week in Jerez during the winter; not so many tourists but still lots going on, particularly during Lent (processions and this time carnival).
Good location on edge of old town
Jerez has a good buzz and the hotel is well located. However our room was rather dark as the (small) window gave onto an internal well. it was also rather stuffy.
Beware, it will say they have air conditioning, but they only turn it on for certain months. This applies to most hotels, not just this one.
