Solo trip

Located directly across the street from the train station . i went out the wrong side of the train station,twice.i get lost easily,though.don't go out the wrong side.i' was born in munich area.the only thing was ,i wish they had a tea kettle in the room... .i did alot of day trips from there..

Terrific location right next to the Munich train station. The add-on breakfast was spectacular: hard to imagine a better spread; definitely worth the price. This is an adults only hotel …so the morning buffet is also enjoyably quiet.

In the room there is not coffee maker

Great Hotel Next to Train Station

We selected this hotel because of the prior reviews and its location next to the train station. The breakfast was truly amazing, and the staff was very friendly. It was a short walk to numerous Christmas markets along with plenty of shopping and restaurants.

The location is great - right by the train station and walking distance to many places, including Marienplatz!

If you are coming into and out of Munich by train, this is the place to be. It’s right across from the train station and is less than a 5 minute walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the room is perfect and comfortable and everything looks new. I highly recommend this hotel. It’s a 20 minute walk to Marienplatz.

Slow or no internet

Friendly staff. Hotel is dated, but clean. Surprisingly, my room on the 4th floor, facing the Main Street was quiet. My biggest grip was the internet. It keeps dropping internet connection and there would be no internet for long stretches of time. When there was a connection, internet was slow. Wi-Fi stayed connected the whole time though.

Our stay was excellent. We requested an early check-in and were granted it, which was nice after a long international flight. The hotel is directly across the street from the main train station. Plenty of dining/shopping around the hotel. Easy walk into the center of town. The breakfast buffet was very large and a great assortment of various foods. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The room was spacious by European standards.

Quick stay

Close to main train station and major attractions .

This hotel was a great place to stay right across from the train station. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast wonderful, and our courtyard room was nice and quiet. When my son realized he left his AirPods in the room after we arrived at the airport, the staff was super helpful and retrieved them and has since helped him set up DHL shipping back to the States. The only negative which I had already read in another review was that the shower curtain rods are set too deep into the tub further reducing space… a minor inconvenience given all the other pluses of this hotel!

Staff was great! Stayed here for the October Fest and it is close to public transportation even though we walked to the festival and it was only 1 mile or less away. It is across the street from the train station which is a big plus for being able to travel.

This property was great for our stay in Munich. A nice restaurant just a few doors down. Staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was great next to the the central station with plenty of convenient transportation options to the popular sites. Would stay here again.

I've been to this hotel a couple of times already. I really like the rooms layout, the big bathroom and the fact that you have a mini fridge. All is missing to be perfect is a kettle or a coffee machine. They do not have an AC, it's true, but they have a ceiling fan that's pretty powerful, not sure how that works in the mid summer, i was there in June and it was enough for me. I also love the location as it's right across the street from Hbf (main station) so you can travel anywhere from there, including airport. Sometimes it can be noisy if you're room is facing the street but closing the window solves that issue. I go back there every time i'm in Munich for a short period of time and i dont need to be closer to some other location.

Great location a block or two from train station and walking distance to old town site seeing. Breakfast was outstanding in selection, ambiance, and service.

This hotel was simple, clean, and comfortable. Very short walk to the train station. Neighborhood was busy, but I didn’t feel unsafe. Excellent breakfast.

Great stay

Everything was great and it was super-close to the train station which was our main concern. We had an early train. They gave us ice cream upon arrival!

I came to Munich for the Eras Tour and I was so glad I was able to secure a room at a reasonable price during a time where the demand was so high. The room is very nice with a large bathroom. Although the room is not equipped with an A/C, it has a large window, a ceiling fan and an extra fan in case it was too hot. During my stay, the temperatures were quite high but I did just fine with these cooling facilities. I was also impressed by their warm gift of a box of ice-cream chocolate when checking-in. The breakfast was also amazing with a huge variety of choice ranging from bread and yoghurt to cheese and salad. I was able to have a hearty breakfast every morning. The staff at the breakfast venue was also very courteous. The location of the hotel is also perfect. Situated right by the central station, the hotel allows guests arriving by train to store their luggage conveniently before check-in time and after check-out. Its proximity to the train stations also means you can get to every part of the city in no-time. With so many people still around the neighborhood even into the evening, it feels very safe to return to the hotel even late into the night. To sum up, I highly recommend this hotel for its price, facilities, location and breakfast.

Friendly helpful staff

Very good basic hotel across from munich hbf the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice all the staff that i dealt with from front of house to the restaurant were very friendly and helpful i saw that people had complained about no airconditioning but the room had a stand up fan and with the window open it was fine So if you want an hotel that is exellent value for money look no further if i return to munich i would have no hesitation in stopping there again A nice little bonus was because it was really hot when arriving you were presented with a small box of choc ices the litle things make a difference

My room was big enough and just next to cafeteria. It’s convenient for breakfast without any noisy situation.

Good hotel in a great location visit in the winter though as the lack of AC in the summer months will finish you off!

Nice location next to the train station; convenient walking to the sight seeing area. Breakfast is very good. But it’s a little noisy from outside street. It’s recommended if you are traveling by train.

This hotel is directly across the street from the main Munich train station. There is an excellent Italian restaurant next door with an easy access door in the hotel lobby for entry.

Clean, effecient, cosy, good breakfast. Convenient location, although currently construction around the area and a few rough puerilecharterscharacters.

It is very convenient to downtown within walking distance and also close to train station. We were worrying the noise but it is okay with windows closed. It is quite warm even in early May. I can’t imagine how it would be in summer. That is my only concern with this hotel. The breakfast is better than my expectations for a three stars hotel.

Good Location

This was a good hotel overall. Friendly staff, good location across the street from the main train station for food options. Only negative factors was that it was loud due to the street noise (not the hotel's fault) and there isn't any air conditioning. The rooms do have ceiling fans and they also provide two additional fans in the room as well to help offset this. The weather wasn't extremely hot when we visiting at the end of April but i could see it being a problem in the warmer weather months.

Was ok, you get what you pay for, area around the hotel isn’t the most inviting

Very convenient. Right in front of HBF so access to trains is superb. Cooler/fridge in the room did not work correctly. Would be great to have hot water kettle in the room. Area around the hotel has many dining options/services but not safe after dusk.

Mixed Opinion

The staff at the desk provided top notch service and were very helpful. The room itself had a couple issues. The toilet was not properly clean when I checked in and there was a big dark stain on the blanket. The location worked well as a base close to the Hauptbahnhof.

Great location

Super convenient location, just across the street from the main train station and metro stop, and a 10 min walk to old Town. Hotel was old, but clean and comfortable. The triple room was bigger than we expected. All in all would recommend.

This hotel is old, need to be upgraded, its convenient because it is just across the railway station, but that side of the station and next to the hotel has a lot of homeless people. Nothing special in the hotel, but have to say that the people at front desk are very very friendly

This hotel is right across the street from the Munich Central Train Station; therefore, the location was superb! It is an older facility so we understand the challenges. The breakfast was amazing with a huge selection. For a quick stay - this hotel met our needs.

We just needed something overnight, we didn't make many comparisons as we knew we would not use the hotel much. Have to say we lucked out, price point was very good, you would pay double for the breakfast in most hotels and it was very good, the parking was extremely reasonable for a city, the room was basic for example I don't recall seeing a kettle but I was very happy with it in that it was spacious, there was plenty for the luggage, the bathroom was good with a good shower and linnens. The staff were extremely polite, they gave us a free bar of chocolate on check out and allowed me to leave my car safely in the garage until later the next day. Location seemed to be excellent. Well done

Stayed here for a week for a business trip and can highly recommend. Great location, extremely helpful staff and amazing breakfasts. Older and simpler building, but comfortable enough.

Well locate, opposite the main train station, easy accessible to many services include visiting a doctor when needed. The room was clean, the breakfast was well spread. Just one thing, the after flush of the toilet was not closed properly after every flush, precious water is wasted.

Bath water came out yellow with rocks.

The location is great across from the train station and one block from the downtown area. The room had a mini fridge which was very helpful for us. Comfortable beds. Clean. Room with inner court view, which was very noisy if you opened the window. There is no A/C so the room got very hot, the only way to cool it down was to open the windows.

Great staff, more like a five-star breakfast service. I’d come back again. The only down side is the building doesn’t have air conditioning and if you open the window you get all the street noise since it’s across the train station but the location was very convenient.

we stay this hotel 4 nights. They have good breakfast, clean room, good location and very good customer service. Especially the front desk Bernhard give us lots help. We have one week travel to other country, he help us storage two luggage in the hotel and put back our room when we came back. Breakfast server Karima is very helpful too. Every staff have been very friendly to us. We will stay this hotel when we travel to Munich next time. Thanks everyone

When we checked in staff was awesome, the next two days the same person who was awesome did not work and staff was very cold.

I reserved this hotel room becaue of its proximity to the central train station but, in hindsight, the free breakfast was equally important.

The hotel served our purpose of being close to the train station. The room was an odd shape with the tv down a side spur from the bed. Nice that there was a refrigerator. The carpet was old. We like the bathroom radiator/towel rod appliance but it was dusty. The soap/shampoo container was difficult to squeeze. It could not be helped that the surrounding area was under demolition. It will be nice in a few years.

The hotel was literally 50 meters from the train station providing transportation options including regional trains, U bahn, S bahn and local Tram system. The hotel staff can seel you day tickets for all transportation options. The hotel is also 3 blocks from Karlsplatz and excellent shopping. The hotel itself was quiet even though it is in a busy section and close to transportation. The daily breakfast was good with several hot and cold options. Finally, the front desk staff were very helpful and kind. We had a small problem in the room with the hair dryer and it was resolved within 1/2 hour of our reporting it. I would stay here again and suggest it to friends.

Right in front ofctrain station which is a plus to take the train for day trips around munich places like Neushwanstein or Alianz arena or why not Innsbruck Austria ,all of above requires early morning trips by train and you dont have to worry about how to get to train station.😃

I didn’t feel safe at all

Such a pleasant stay at Hotel Europaischer Hof! The location is perfect right next to the Hauptbahnhof and the staff is friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast is incredible!

Right next to the station , thus a hive of activity. Windows are good, but open them and it’s wooah. But it’s not the hotels fault, if you want tranquil you don’t book right next to station in a city. Otherwise nice room , fan a lifesaver, decent bathroom and good pressure on the shower. Slept as well as expected. Breakfast had a good selection. I’d come from a 4 star hotel so not that much of a drop. Staff very friendly. 2 issues. The one lift can be pain and the hotel puts up signs about vast crowds checking in or out or at breakfast. I went all 5 mornings around 8.15 to 8.30 and found it fine. Never had to wait long to check in or out ( seconds). But these signs make you panic a bit. So, worth the money and it was what it was, a decent 3 star city centre hotel, and it did it’s job very well.

They let us check in early which was super helpful as I had to work. The Wi-Fi was slow but usable. This would be a great hotel for anyone who needs train access
