U
The staff was very helpful in ordering taxis for me when needed
Good View from the top. Staff very friendly and helpful. Maintenance could be improved it seems to me that they react to a problem but I believe with regular checks of installations certain things would not become a nuisance for guest during their stay. Overall I am happy and have booked again for 2 nights next week.
Lots of space, great location
Very good location. Walking distance to restaurants and other touristy sites
When you go there ask for Elias, he nice and very respectful and always happy to help and answer questions about the area.
Nice room and good area for the price. Staying here again soon.
You get what you pay for, but it worked.
No frills, but no surprises for a 2-star hotel located near the heart of Santo Domingo's Zona Colonial. The room was decent-sized, and the bed comfortable, but like the rest of the furniture, outdated. The bathroom was small and basic, but I was able to shower with hot water...which can be a luxury in similar hotels. I didn't hear any noise from the busy streets, and there was secure parking inside the building, through the garage door. Nothing fancy, but worked for me as a place to lay my head for 7-8 hours, and recharge for the next day.
Not bad for what you pay. But don't expect much. The property also does not accept credit cards at the moment and you can only reserve - not pay - for it from this website.
Parking was available, which was convenient since we were driving a rented car. There was a nice little restaurant/cafe walking distance down the street. The view from the terrace was nice too. The rooms were what we needed. Good for the price, would recommend for traveling on a budget.
Not a good Hotel to stay!
I booked this hotel on Hotels.com, which is a good website and the pictures on the website looks well. But When I physically got there, I realized that there was NO elevator and I sprained my knee one week ago and I did not want to take the chance to re-injury my knee and the stairs looks very steep! Also, the hotel website showed washer and drier, but when I asked, the manager told me that guests can NOT use the washer and drier, you have to pay to let the staff do it for you. So the picture was misleading. I asked to cancel my reservation, but the manager, who is not a friendly person at all and looks depressed, at least in depressive mood, told me that it's not their responsibility to help me to cancel it. I did not have the US cell phone service there and the local cell phone service would not allow me to call US number, not even the 800 toll free number and I had no access to my email because it needs text code for verification. So it was not a pleasant experience with the hotel. If the hotel needs business, they should be nice and considerate to guests. DR is a poor country and the most words I hear from strangers in streets is :" I am Hungary" . DR needs tourists, in order to do that, DR needs to be considerate for tourists. But it's not. And few, Surprisingly, speak English or another other languages.
Terrible experience, dirty, roaches, no running water No bathroom essentials, stuff was untrained and lost. The place is sad
Nice place in top location for a nice price
The 2 apartments on the top floor are top, if you do not have a problem walking stairs. A terrace with view to the sea, nice to have a drink even has a cosy mini pool.
It was okay except breakfast.
Good location. Nice staff. No cleaning during 6 nights stay. Bath towels were nylons, not absorb water; breakfasts were served at 9 am, and they were simple and scrambled eggs were left over from previous days. We ended up not eating the breakfast.
