Room with Galata view

It was an amazng stay. From my room I could view the Galata tower. The room is well kept and tastefully designed.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, they truly went above and beyond! My partner and I really enjoyed our stay in the hotel!

Galata tower area

I loved the area which was surrounded by restaurants and cafes along the street . I could see the galata tower from my room . I t was safe but noisy and crowded . The room was clean and has a small balcony . The staff were very friendly but the room was very small and there was no TV. The bathroom and the door of the room has little issues .

The Hotel Des Artes in Galata was in a fantastic location. Just steps from the beautiful tower, and so close to many shops, cafés and restaurants. The hotel itself is a beautiful old building, and the rooms are full of cute vintage touches. The staff, especially Siren, we’re all friendly. The breakfast provided was at a café a few steps away, and was excellent.

This property is in a great location, situated around shops and restaurants. The staff are amazing and the room was great. I will rebook this hotel for future visits!

Room too small

A Regrettable Disappointment

This hotel was a disappointment. They market themselves at a 4-star standard online but I'd rate them closer to 2-star. We were excited for our stay because of how cute the room seemed online when we booked. However, the hotel was obviously not operating at a professional standard. It was in rather shabby condition and the hallway was being used for storage. When we first got into our room, the toilet had a broken seat. The hotel was also very stingy on towels, providing only 1 set for two people the second night. When we requested more towels they smelled strongly of vinegar and were unusable. The disposable slippers provided smelled of toxic, noxious chemicals and we therefore did not use them. The staff were not unfriendly but the hotel was not run to the professional standard of a hotel claiming to be 4-star. To their credit, the room was cute and almost as-shown in the photos, albeit a tad tired and worn. They provided bottled water in the fridge, which was appreciated. For comparison, earlier in our trip we stayed in Sultanahmet at a similar price point and received excellent service in a spotless hotel that was very professionally managed.

Amazing hospitality

A great experience with the nicest people I have had the pleasure of coming across in Istanbul.

In general it’s fine, but the bed wasn’t really comfortable, leaking water in the toilet and some other minor drawbacks. After two weeks in Istanbul and mostly staying within this area there is something to compare with.

Amazing!!

The atmosphere & design in the hotel is absolutely amazing, it’s giving retro vibes. We got greeted at the door which I find that very welcoming as not alot of places do that nowadays. The location is definitely the best part of the hotel it is walking distance to all the attractions. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel & I can easily say I found my new home once I return to Istanbul, Thank you

The hotel does a very nice view from the room, we did not have a full balcony, but just a small terrace. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would say that was the best part of our stay. The room is a lot smaller than pictured. I read some other reviews, commenting on the smell coming from the pipes of the bathroom and that was true. Not sure what it was but the bathroom does not smell great but the room and the bathroom were very clean. great location with everything all around.

Overall the stay was wonderful. Lots of shopping and dining experience on the Galata Hill which was very reasonably priced and a huge variety of different shops. It is approx 30 mins walk to Taksim square and Egyptian market. Grand bazaar is roughly a 40 mins walk from hotel where you walk across the Galata bridge and you see the locals all set-up for fishing and fresh cooked fish dining experience. Along the way there was lots of pit stops you can make. It is a stones throw from Galata Tower. The hotel was very clean, rooms were spacious with all working amenities, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend.

Stylish place in Galata

Wonderful location in Galata. Only few minute walk from the Metro (Sishane). Very beautiful and comfortable rooms. Lovely terrace on the roof. The only thing I could say that I missed was a lobby, a place to reunite, but seriously not a big deal. The place is lovely. I highly recommend.

Gem of a hotel

A lovely hotel a stones throw away from Galata Tower. Friendly and knowledgeable staff made this a pleasant stay.

Great stay, very clean, accommodating staff

We had a great time in instanbul for the first time. This hotel is in a very fun and busy tourist area near the galata tower and there's great shopping and food that surrounds it. Also a close walk to a large open air mall as well. We had excellent help from the staff when our connecting flight from Paris was unexpectedly cancelled. The staff was able to accommodate needing to change our reservation which I am very thankful for as I know this could have easily been an issue at many hotels. The room was very clean and comfortable, we were on the less busy side of the hotel which helped keep the noise down at night. The area is a late night area for many young people. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel! It is one of the smaller hotels in the area but the staff and cleanliness of this one along with a comfortable bed made our two night stay excellent. Thanks! We were visiting Türkiye for the first time and stayed in Istanbul a couple nights to kick off our honeymoon. Very glad we picked this hotel!

5 night stay- Galata Istanbul

Probably the best stay in Galata Istanbul, overlooking the busy street of Galata. Most of the things are a short walk away and the service was great!

Instanbul made easy.

The hotel is well placed , 50 mètres from the Galata Tower. The neighborhood has many restaurants and bars and the local people are friendly and helpful. The public transport is excellent. We enjoyed the visit.

Perfect for a city break

Amazing location - comfortable bed, can be a little noisy outside as it’s on a busy street until around midnight but no issues after that. Reception team were super helpful getting us a taxi to the airport and room was just what we needed for Istanbul. Walkable to all the main sights and lots of places to eat nearby. The bathroom was amazing and water pressure 10/10. Thanks so much

Probably, my worst experience in Istanbul. The gave me a small room apologizing it was their last room. They offered me to cancel, but it was not an option after bringing all my luggage all the way there. The area is nice, right next to Galata tower, but very noisy. The room itself was in front of the elevator so I could hear every guest going up and down. The room was not very clean, had strange smell and when I opened the fridge, the door fell. The girl from the reception explained that they didn’t have a chance to fix it. My recommendation is not to choose this hotel for your vacation, but to finish on positive note, the staff was nice and spoke English.

Stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and it was amazing! Direct views to the Galata Tower and there was access to a rooftop terrace which was beautiful. The staff was also the sweetest and accommodated with any needs. Hasan was the best and helped us out a lot! Would definitely return to this hotel when visiting again.

This hotel has direct views of Galata Tower from the balcony. It's very loud all day and the rooms have poor soundproofing, but it's what you would expect from an older building in such a vibrant neighborhood. It's worth upgrading to a balcony room, since you can look out over the busy street and enjoy commotion (and probably catch at least one marriage proposal!) The rooms themselves are not super luxury, but are nice enough and the basics all worked fine. The staff was also very earnest and responsive, despite occasional language barrier issues. I would avoid this hotel if comfort is the most important thing to you. Otherwise, it's a very good home base for exploring the city.

The property manager is really sweet and helpful. The hotel is right by the galata tower and is in one of the best districts. It is super tight for two people but we made it work.

Great location, staff was helpful and good people. Great value for the location and had good decor. Loved the view from our balcony to Galata tower. Unfortunately the bed was not comfortable and it smelled like someone was smoking in another room getting into ours.

Couple stay

Stuff is amazing and super responsive. Terrace with the view is an amazing bonus. Hotel is pets friendly, we traveled with our cat. The only minor problem was the semi broken bed and the room wasn’t cleaned, Found used towels in the wardrobe and some stuff inside the bedside table. We asked to change the room and so we did next morning. Otherwise i would highly recommend

Otel çok temiz, ferah ve sakindi. Personel çok ilgili ve sayıgılı. Konumu zaten çok güzel. Ütü var, istediğiniz zaman veriyorlar. Çarşaf havlu vs. her şey temizdi.
