Excellent hotel and location. Impeccable service. A must stay in Montevideo.

Great spot and friendly staff

Great hotel, poor communication

The hotel itself is very nice but the staff communication is very very poor. The room is very nice, well decorated, comfortable bed, and a nice bath bathroom. There's a pool and a spa. Both very nice and very clean. The restaurant was a little pricey but not more than you would expect for a hotel and the food quality was outstanding. However, if you eat at the hotel, you should pay at the restaurant. Uruguay as a 17% vat that it gets rebated to foreign travelers. But if you put the expenses to your room, you don't get the rebate. You also have to pay in US dollars if you pay at checkout. Between losing out on the repay and the exchange rate, it's about 20% more expensive. This is something the hotel should communicate probably multiple times. It's a shame cuz all of this came to light at checkout, without ruining it otherwise lovely stay. Also, the location is good but a little far from the good cafes in the neighborhood.

All service staff so helpful, great experience, modern hotel, surroundings, music and entertainment really professional and contemporary. Helped us get tickets for International Football. Do not hesitate to stay here

Gem of Montevideo

Exceptional property with the best views of Montevideo! The staff was too-notch (Alexis, Luna and Max) and we absolutely loved the afternoon tea and also bar offerings

Property is by the beach and walking distance to restaurants like Hard Rock. Inside the hotels bar and restaurant is excellent for staying in. Everyone was friendly and extremely nice!!

The hotel is located in the most beautiful part of Montevideo, don't forget to ask for a room facing the Rambla. Friendliest stuff who realltake care of all your needs

Convenient

I had previously been to the Hotel Costanero. A very nice and very new hotel, the attention of the guys at the front desk is excellent. Upon arrival they recognized me as a member of Expedia and the chain, they sent me a tray with delicious sweets and a welcome letter to my room, these are very nice little details that make a difference and make the guests feel better. I stayed there with my wife for 6 nights on the 6th floor and we had a great time. The breakfast was excellent and abundant, the Cuban girl who works there gave us very special treatment. The rooms overlooking the Rio de la Plata have an incredible panorama of the beach. I am a travel agent in NYC and I pay a lot of attention to the attention and details, the Hotel is well managed. The only thing is that the pool is very cold, the rest is excellent. I will be back!!

We loved this hotel. Great location with a fantastic beach 100 meters away. The staff were very friendly and helpful (especially Celeste). Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel feels very new, everything is shiny and sparkly. We were upgraded to a beautiful room overlooking the water, very large room with a large washroom. Breakfast was excellent, and great service from the front desk.

The hotel was conviently located and very nice. The bar was amazing and Diego made the best cocktails. Cauce, the restaraunt, had amazing dinner and the breakfast bufft was perfect.

The property was great, lots of dining options within walking distance. We were disappointed with the beach. Not clean and no facilities

High class hotel with great beach view

Our room had an amazing view of Pocitos beach, we enjoyed watching amazing sunsets from here with the old town in the distance. We booked an Executive room with Sea View. The room was large with a huge bed and plenty of cupboards and space to spread out. The hotel has an outdoor pool area with loungers - during the week we had entirely to ourselves. It was really relaxing. There is also a sauna and a well equipped gym. The staff are friendly and helpful. We received excellent service from the lobby bar where we got coffees and drinks

Really nice modern place, especially for Montevideo. It's what I hope for when getting a boutique hotel experience. The staff was so professional too, but without seeming impersonal. I really got the sense that they wanted to help and be friendly. I wholeheartedly recommend this place when coming to Montevideo!

The staff from the check-in to the bar and food servers where excellent.

This is a very nice new hotel. A bit out of the way from old town but an Uber will get you there easily. The front counter staff were excellent and very helpful with everything, as were the staff at breakfast. One of the gentleman working at the bar wasn't very friendly. Not sure if it was because I spoke English, or what, as he seemed friendly to the Spanish speakers, but he was the exception. The other bar staff were excellent. Also, the only other item I'd change was that there was no coffee machine in the room. Not sure I have ever stayed in a hotel that did not have a coffee machine in the room, especially a 5 star. But otherwise I did enjoy my stay.

Best staff ever. The night bartender, NOT the great guy with the mustache, but the very thin guy who's there at night, could be a lot friendlier. He made me wait 1/2 hour one night for the bar bill. He comes off as a little hostile. But everyone else was wonderful.

Nice decoration and views, Few parking spaces, no coffee on rooms, no ironing utensils, small gym, good breakfast.

Nice quiet location…front desk staff ok but doormen literally watched us struggle with our luggage and didn’t offer any assistance; wait staff had a really hard time understanding English - fair enough it’s their country - abd we tried with our limited Spanish which they also had a hard time understanding; housekeeping staff never answered their phone and all simple requests were ignored; bartender had no idea what a Tom Collins cocktail was despite it being offered in all public spaces including the elevators. Try to stay somewhere else.

Perfect location, great view, nice amenities and friendly staff

The view was great from the Lobby. However, we didn't get a room with a nice view. They called it city view but it was just the back of the building on the opposite side of the block. It did not matter to us because we stayed only one night.

Montevideo gem

Great hotel which overlooks the beach, well worth the extra to get a sea view, staff were excellent, good breakfast, room was spacious. Overall great hotel.

Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Some were not. However all in all it was a very positive and pleasant experience.

The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. The rooms had modern amenities and the overall hotel layout was very nice. We enjoyed our stay here and would visit again!

Excellent hotel all around.

In order to secure twin bedroom, we contacted directly to the hotel beforehand and got the confirmation that 2 beds would be provided to our room. However, when we made check-in, the reception told us that room upgrade has been made but there is only 1 King Bed, which was totally against our expectation. Finally, they offered us 1 extra bed without charge, which helped us a bit, but obviously the bed quality was not great as ordinal bed that this hotel has. Other than that, overall evaluation is fine.

I loved this hotel so much. Elegant feel. Restaurant had beautiful views. The hotel has a nice pool, a big sauna and the rooms were chic and comfy. The customer service was also outstanding! I wanted to extend my trip just to stay longer at this hotel. Definitely coming back!

Excellent Hotel

Out of the 5 hotels I stayed, this one was by far the best. Comfortable, spacious room with a Toto Washlet in the bathroom. Great breakfast.

Great location and Modern Luxury

The hotel was very modern with upscale decor. The toilet seat had a sensor that knew when you entered the bathroom. The restaurant had sweeping views of the ocean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Terrible customer experience and management

The hotel itself if modern and clean. The customer service from management, unfortunately, was abysmal and incoherent. The hotel offers no parking, but invites guests to park their cars on the sidewalk in front. Unfortunately, this led to my car (and at least one other guest’s) getting towed on the day we were due to fly out. Management was hostile and kept trying to nickle and dime us when we sought to have them reimburse the fines and costs. In the end, the manager refused to come on-site and told us over the phone that they would reimburse up to 50%. Terrible from a customer experience point of view. What could have been an opportunity to make something right and instead led to a shouting match in the lobby and out refusal to ever go back. The restaurant staff were awesome.
