So Handy
Very Friendly staff, I think we made new friends. If we get back to Vienna we would definitely stay there. So handy, on main shopping street , at the end of which you can get the hop on hop off bus. So nice to be greated with a complimentary drink. Room Comfortable.
Their hospitality is unforgettable.
Cleanliness, staff friendliness. Location not so welcoming but overcome once inside.
Great service, very welcoming.. good location.. gave us a room in very short notice, if let us stay extra 2 hours after check out.. the guy Michael at reception was very helpful.
It’s a really nice place and the location is the best.
Great location, staff was awesome, always available for help and recommendations
Amazing Stay
Amazing feels like a home hotel in the middle of the famous Mariahifler street, Highly Recommended
Liked the location but nothing else. The room looked nothing like what I booked and I specifically paid more for a larger room but got a 10x10 box with paper thin walls, with a window to a hall. The room was a no smoking room, though the hotel allows smokers to smoke just off that hallway, so I had to constantly close the window in the room, but then I would roast. The coffee maker in the room wasn’t free either and the breakfast was limited and not worth the price. They also asked that the room keys be turned in when you leave the hotel. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. I will never stay there And will likely not book with Expedia again either.
This is not a genuine 4 star hotel. 2.5 at best. The rooms in the photos do not match reality. My "king size" bed was probably less than a double. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and tried their best.
The price was good for Vienna but the facility is definitely a 3 star budget accommodation. Room was basic with no tea kettle and super small shower. Did not like that the faucet runs on automatic sensors. This presents a challenge for shaving.
Awesome location! Very clean functional room! Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom
Close to metro, close to the stores, nice location
Very small and without windows but clean and in the center
Staff is excellent. Goes out of there way to assist. Shower was very small, so if you hare rather large, it may be an issue. Nespresso in room is very nice.
Easy transportation to city center and walkable 10-15 min walk to museum quarter.
We paid so much money..they didn't had any proper room..no double blanket..
There is a large water pipe keeping the room warm even if you turn the radiator off so be prepared to use the big airconditioning unit next to the bed if you get too hot
Hotel was very close to city center, very safe and nice staff. I wish the towels were fresher.
Spacious room, but rather drab and dated
Convenient with exceptional warmth
I missed my train stop from the airport and managed to arrive at the hotel way past 1am on a weekday after a long detour due to the time of the day. Was welcomed by the owner who made a warm cup of coffee for me - just about what I needed after a long trip. He was very friendly and I enjoyed our chat. Was greeted a nice goodbye by his daughter the next morning. The hotel is just minutes walk from the train station. Highly recommended!
Great location and good enough for only showering and sleeping, nothing fancy at all, but a good value for cost. Didn't do breakfast there, eating room to small and not good atmosphere. Not a hotel to "hang out in'....just sleep and shower.
Clean, quiet, convenient, and wonderful staff
Upon check in I was shown where things are and given a delightful coffee and authentically told to ask if I needed anything. Location is walking distance to tourist stuff, close to shops and restaurants, a few stops away by metro to bus station, clean, quiet, spacious!!
Good hotel with great location
Room good staffs great location superb worth your money
Very nice hotel in the heart of Vienna's shopping
Lovely and attentive staff and very clean premises. The position is excellent, 1 minute from subway, all the shopping you can think of and an affordable price.
Front desk and owner is really nice; I felt comfortable and familiar right away. The room was cozy and had everything I needed. Location is also great, in the middles of a busy shopping area, but easily walkable to the Museum Quartier and the underground U3 line. Will stay there again when I come back to Vienna!
Very nice and cozy hotel room
Very nice and cozy hotel room Right on one of the most popular streets in Vienna. Staff is awesome and helpful.
Pleasure to stay in
First of all I want to thank all the staff especially Miclosh, Zoltan and Alexandra, they are doing all the best to help you with whatever you need. Corvinus is located 10 min. walk from Museums Quarter and near Neubaugasse metro station, there is a signboard on a building, so no problem to find him. Its a small, cozy hotel and located in just one of the floors, but despite of this my room was pretty big (single), very clean (cleaned every day). The breakfast was varied and tasty: eggs, cheese, salami, salads, olives, yogurts and many more...Also the staff is making for you coffee or tea every breakfast. Definitely one of the best hotels I've stayed in.
Great hotel
Everything spot on. Great location and friendly staff. Room was actually nicer than the picture.
Perfect location and easy to get access to any train, subway and bus.
Nice family run hotel
Small family run hotel on good location. Facility is not new but in good shape with space for upgrades. Stuff is very helpful and friendly. Parking can be a problem and advertised info about price is not correct. Day parking in closest public garage is EUR 30.
Our room had an unpleasant odor as soon as we entered. It smelled like a bag of rotting onions. We found out it was coming from the toilet. We did not make a fuss about it as our stay was only for one night. We just closed the bathroom door, opened up the windows, went to sleep, and checked out first thing in the morning.
Convenient location for walking to the city. Nice staff.
Excelent location and great service.. Good and complete breakfast, we loved to stay there
Nice hotel within walking distance to many sights.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Cornivus. It is located in a fabulous pedestrian walking street with lots of shops and restaurants. We were able to walk to the old town. Staff was extremely helpful.
it's not hotel and very old it's bansion
Bad
Hotel is nice and receiptionist is very friendly.
Nice hotel, conveniently located
The hotel is quiet and clean with friendly staff and a delicious breakfast.
Good value at a fine location.
A very cordial staff, fluent in English, German and Hungarian. Willing to help with directions around the city, obtaining transportation, and general advice about Vienna. Excellent breakfasts. Room condition excellent and comfortable.
Ideally placed home from home
Friendly staff, good solid breakfast, easy to get around town - I'll be back!
In the heart of the shopping district
This room is in the heart of Mariahilderstrasse, making everything a short walk away. A room with a grand view of the bustling street, helpful staff and affordable rates.
Convenient, clean, and fairly comfortable hotel
The people who operate the hotel are very nice. My only criticism is that you are charged for breakfast -- and that was just so-so. No hot food (cold hard-boiled eggs rather than scrambled or fried eggs, cold cuts instead of bacon or ham).
Very convenient and clean hotel with perfect stuff
Stay to meet Vienna for 5 nights, very convenient location near Subway station, many shops and fast food around but a lot of homeless in the area make the nights noisy.
Highly Recommended
The hotel/pension is located in a good place, near a underground transportation station, in THE street of shopping and entertainment - Mariahilferstrasse - a heaven for shoppers. Good breakfast (and if you have special needs (I am on gluten free diet and the every breakfast they served me GF bread, cereals and cake with no additional charge), the family that runs the pension will provide it. The single room was a little small, but clean, and the price is fair, relatively to this area (Vienna is not a cheap place). Last but not least - the stuff (the family who owns the pension) was very friendly and helpful.
Nice stay !!!
The hotel, the staff, the location were perfect!!! I would definetely recommend!!!
Hotel close to the city center
Stayed there for 4 nights. Really good location and kind staff. From a 4 star hotel, i was expecting more in terms of amneties etc.
Great Stay
It was our first time in Vienna and did not know what to expect but the hotel was great. The staff were really friendly and helpful and it was 10 mins walk to the old town and all the tourist sites. I will definitely come back again.
Great property! Comfortable stay
NOTE: I may copy and paste these reviews to TripAdvisor/Yelp/Hotels.com A great property - the owner checked us in and was so pleasant! He was really helpful and very nice. The room was a bit small for the three of us, but we made it work. The A/C unit requires that you ask for the remote at the front desk, they just ask that you turn it off when you leave the room (which isn't a huge deal). It's definitely not a luxury property, but that didn't matter to us much. They offer breakfast for a small fee, but we opted out. The property was located a short walk to tours and things like that (15 min or so) but that wasn't a huge deal for us. We were able to find nice restaurants and other things to do easily. Great property, great stay!
Great service but very small room
Small hotel in a very good location. Staff were very friendly & efficient. The room was a typical small single room that you tend to get in many European cities. While it was clean and everything worked, it felt cramped.
A homely experience
I actually stayed here quite a while back, but this place left me with such good memories I just needed to come leave a review when I finally remembered. Firstly, the location is perfect, being just down the road from a metro station, and within walking distance of many major attractions (except Schonbrunn, which isn't really near anything anyway). We were also pleasantly surprised at the decor of the room, as it was beautifully furnished at a level none of us had expected at our price point. And as an added plus, the service you enjoy at this family-run place is beyond fantastic. We had some problems with our toilet on our first night, and they not only went out of their way to try and help us fix it that very night, the issue was also promptly fixed first thing the next morning. A place I'd highly recommend, and would definitely revisit.
Great location great staff
The location is walking distance to the sights and Is close to the subway station including one of the main stations. The owner and his family are very helpful and friendly.
Very noce place to stay
We use this hotel every time we coming to Vienna. It is a family owned hotel and the service if very good.
It is not a hotel, it is second class pansion.
Only the location is good. It is the worst hotel i see in europe.
We were lucky...
There is major construction project taking place on the street that this hotel is on. When we arrived the noise looked like it would be a major concern. Luckily for us the following day was a national holiday, and then it was Saturday. So no more construction activity during our stay. The hotel had a family atmosphere to it, and we felt very welcome. Location was convenient, but was outside of central 'ring' of Vienna. no problem if you get the metro pass (the metro is 2 mins. from the hotel). I would encourage anyway seeing Vienna to take advantage of the Vienna City Bikes program. A great deal.
Great location, but slightly outdated
The room was clean, but was still pretty outdated in terms of style and whatnot. I stayed in a room with a twin bed, a small table/desk and a mini-fridge. The sink was separated from the main part of the small room by a curtain, then a door revealed the toilet and shower in what felt like a bathroom from an RV. It wasn't bad, it was just not what I was expecting. The owner (or who I assume to be the owner) is friendly. He let me leave the big key for the room (not a keycard) at the front desk every day so i wouldn't have to carry it. Location across the street from the U3 on a main shopping street was really great because it made exploring other parts of the city was easier and more comfortable.
Okay for the price.
I got an en suite bathroom in a room near a super convenient metro stop for a reasonable spot, so I can't complain too much, but there were some weird things. It's on a super busy street with tons of shopping if you're into that. And it's next door to an English language cinema that was pretty nice (there's another one that's a bit nicer called Artis Intl off the Stephansplatz metro stop if you're into that. I've been out of the US for weeks and welcomed a bit of home!). It's also only a short walk to Museumsplatz which was really convenient. The condition of the room was fine, not too small for EU standards. The bathroom was tiny, but that's normal too. Clean and tidy. The bed have me a serious backache though, and that's the last thing you need after a long day of walking. The AC is nice to have! But you have to ask for the remote. They like you to open the windows instead, but as it was 80's/90's weather while I was there and it's the window overlooked a courtyard on a main road that was loud all night, that wasn't happening. Also, you have to leave your room key at the front desk whenever you leave the hotel and they'll give it to you when you come back. 24hr front desk, but you still have to ring the bell to get let into the hotel and then ask for your key. I was told it's so they know when you're gone... Uh, why is that important. Once I left for dinner and had the windows closed and I came back and the windows were opened. This was after housekeeping had already been through, so they went in particularly to do that in the hour I was gone? That just seems weird to me. All in all it was a decent stay. They let me store my luggage all day because I had a really late train, so I was really happy about that! It was a little too busy of an area for me, but if you're looking for that, then this hotel is definitely a bargain.
Eccentric, interesting, small hotel.
Located on the main shopping street, this quiet hotel served our needs well. Breakfast was limited but tasty. Services were adequate to our needs.
Great hotel on one of the major shopping streets
The best thing about the hotel was its extremely friendly and pleasant front desk staff. The room was clean but rather small. The hotel was right on the main shopping street, steps away from a subway station, making the commute to and from the airport extremely easy. I would definitely return.
Good value and comfortable, despite construction
Some maintainance problems - sink sensor went bad, etc. so problems getting water, etc. Get a courtyard room - nice and quiet. Friendly place, and not a bad breakfast. Building was under construction - which was a bit of a hassle, but not too big a problem. Very convenient location. Would definitely recommend as a very good value.
No frills excellent hotel in great location!
Current renovations on the shops made entry to the hotel quite bothersome (noise, dust), but these should be complete soon enough. The owner is present always and the staff is largely family and very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is located on a bustling street full of shops, restaurants, cafes and is close to museums. The rooms are small, but more than sufficient for those who plan to spend most time away from the hotel.
Corvinus Comfort
Miklaus was extremely friendly and hospitable. The location was awesome and right next to a cinema with movies in English. It's a noisy if you room is on the street ( with the windows open) but that's to be expected if you want excellent location. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was very new and the breakfast was just right. Great experience...Not overwhelmingly fancy rooms, but clean and comfortable.
Great value for money
Very welcoming hotel, clean good sized rooms, run by a lovely family. It's in a good location just above the museum quarter which was very convenient. Also great to have a place to stay with breakfast and wi fi included in the price, would for sure stay there again ifmgoing back to Vienna.
Einfach und gut🌹
Good!
Hotell review
Alt var bra, unntatt Wi-Fi som var svært dårlig (begge nettverkene), nærmest ubrukelige...
Sauber Freundlich Gute Lage Gerne wieder
Disappointing.
The room that we got was not like in any of the pictures, very small and no aircondition (after a 30°C day). Not even the refrigerator was cooling anything. The bed was good.
Great room& staff . Location is easy to walk to Underground . Lots of foods & goods.
Hotel Corvinus | Home in Vienna | Travala.com
The hotel is in a really good location, easy to walk around and close to the metro. The staff were all very nice. The only issue I had was my room window curtain. My room was near the hallway, and every time someone walked past, the hallway lights would come on. My room’s window curtains weren't thick enough to block the light, so I kept getting woken up.
