Coral Suites is a convenient no-frills hotel located in the heart of Cangrejo, Panama City. The staff, for the most part, was wonderful, and I found the checkout time of 1 pm to be quite generous where many hotels and aparthotels stipulate a ridiculous 10 am checkout. My room was very clean, with piping hot water and a nice functional kitchen space complete with amenities. I would recommend Coral Suites without reservation.

The hotel is quaint and clean and everyone is very friendly. its a little old but its a great price! We have stayed several times when in the city. close to restaurants and shopping. roof top pool small but great !

Our king room ith kitchen was quiet and clean but it is an older property. The eighborhood seems safe with lots of hotel options and mini markets for convenience. There are some restaurants within walking distance but walking is difficult due to sidewalk conditions. We are onn a strict budget and this was great for the first half of our trip to Panama City.

4th time staying in 3 years. It's in a great location for shopping, dining and exploring, and very reasonably priced. We love that the rooms have a full kitchen - although pots, pans, utensils may not always be plentiful. Majority of the staff are polite, friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. Housekeeping does an excellent job. The property could do with some general maintenence and repairs - for example, the extractor fan in our room on this trip and the last trip didn't work, and the first room we were assigned on this trip, apparently the AC wasn't working. Overall, the accommodations get the job done for what we require. Just manage your expectations, and dont expect 5 star luxury accommodations and you'll be fine.

The room was very spacious. The pool setting was nice. If you stay here, be sure to ask for a room on the other side of the Karaoke Bar. Loud voices continued all night long.

We arrived early but were allowed to check in. We were happy with that. The front desk staff was very nice and helped us print some important documents. We really appreciated that.

The room was spacious and very. clean. The furniture could use a bit of updating. The kitchen was equipped but I was a little disappointed that they did not supply any mugs or cups for hot beverages. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was clean but unfortunately I did not get to use it. However, there was no indication as to which side was the shallow and deep end. The area has a problem with garbage collection because I was there for a week and no garbage was ever collected. I liked the location. Within walking distance to a large grocery store, the metro , eating and shopping areas. Overall it was worth it. I would recommend.

I always stay here when passing through Panama City; the staff are very accommodating for my very late or very early arrivals and checkouts. Very friendly and polite, very easy walking distance to some great restaraunts, a little coffee/bakery spot, and tiendas. The rooftop pool is nice for soaking in, too. Good value for money, not as fancy as some hotels (that would be a lot more expensive) but clean and reliable and comfortable and safe.

Coral Suites is THE place to stay in Panama City. It is great value for money. It istrue that they do noy offer breakfast but rooms have a kitchen with the basic utensils needed to prepare breakfast. There is El Rey supermarket, a block away from the hotel. There you can get all the food you want.

The property was extremely clean and the front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. The cleaning people we’re awesome!! We will be back!

I stayed for 3 weeks and loved the room with kitchenette. There is a supermarket close by (Supermercados El Rey) that has quite an extensive selection of food and kitchen products. The hotel is centrally located, which makes it easy to visit locally or adventure further with Uber. I will definitely go back to this hotel when I travel to Panama.

It’s a nice and clean hotel but they don’t have washcloths, Room service, no bar inside the hotel and no good views despite the pictures that they have online.. they have breakfast from 7-9am too short!!!

I love this staying in this suite right in the heart of the Cangrejo area. Accessible to the metro, various shopping centers, casinos and a variety of restaurants. Easy to get an Uber or walk and explore the area. As a single female traveling alone, I felt very safe. The staff is very polite and attentive. The executive room is exactly as described and pictured. Will continue to stay here when traveling in Panama City. Highly recommended!

Coral Suites is a great place to stay. This was our second visit. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is helpful and courteous, and please remember to tip them. The 6th floor/rooftop pool area gives you some great views of the cityscape. Next door is a food court with some great food and reasonable prices. A Rey supermarket is a 5 minute walk away and there are Chino markets close by to stock up the kitchenette.

Coral Suites is a nice roomy hotel to stay at that has excellent suite options, with a kitchenette. Plus a roof-top pool and exercise room, laundry if necessary. Very convenient to major downtown area for shopping, or picking up public transportation.

The property was in a good location. Pillows could be updated, too flat. Bathrooms are small. Did not have hot water for showers, more like barely warm.

While overall this was probably a solid 8 of 10, it was due to staff and service. We had the kitchen but knew we would not use but still great option. The ONLY major issue was out of the hotel’s control, but still would determine a repeat visit…the noise from the businesses to the right of hotel. Carnival was over by our stay but that was the environment at the restaurant next door and the open air business behind the restaurant. Wry little building sound barrier.

Excellent place to stay, I had a suite with a full kitchenette, very spacious rooms. Very clean and excellent staff. A block away from one of the main avenues, close to shopping, and public transportation. Nice rooftop pool. Highly recommended and stay here again.

It was very clearn. Our suite was quite large. The front desk staff went out of their way to help us.

Walkable to dining, Metro and a supermarket with a pharmacy. As a solo traveler I felt very safe in this area. The staff is very helpful, the gym has weights and machines and there are laundry facilities. It’s a bit noisy if you have a room facing the street so make sure the request an interior room if that matters to you.

Coral suite is an excellent option for a stay in Panama City. You are around the corner from a metro station. You are within walking distance of restaurants stores malls whatever you might need. The rooms are huge and all have full kitchens with cooking utensils, dining room, tables, couches, and either two double or one king size bed. All of this for under US$100 per night.

Tryp Hotel - Panamá City

We always stay at the Tryp Hotel. The rooms are. Ice, king size beds, nice view and exceptionally clean. The staff are very friendly and remember us from previous visits.

I paid for an upscale room with a kitchen. I was checked into a room with an old, nonsmart TV, and no menu on the phone, so we could not reach the front desk. In the kitchen, I saw two roaches on the counter. The front desk offered to move us to another room. The only difference was a smart TV and roaches in the bathroom and kitchen. We never got clean sheets, literally had to beg for small towels, and sometimes were given only one. When I reported the roaches this time I was told "I'll report it to the manager". Never heard another word.

The room I was in had a frig and kitchenette. Good sized. Towels were like new.

The rooms here are huge, just wish they provided some pots and/or pans to cook with. Not sure why they have stoves without them. Otherwise, a very nice stay; friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and a nice rooftop pool. Lots of restaurant choices and walkable to the metro.

This is our second stay here. Brought our family here who were visiting. We stayed one night before heading to the airport the next morning. Staff at this hotel are very accommodating and helpful. The full kitchen is great. The hotel is within walking distance to a local grocery store to stock the fridge with food and drinks. Will stay again!

The property was close to restaurants and very walkable to shopping and transportation. The staff was amazing and very helpful with information.

I didn't really have any major problems staying here. However, the time I had an issue it was taken care of immediately. The elevator was down briefly, but that was resolved as well. The Manager Omar was a gem and his team was very accommodating and professional.

Walkable to metro and supermarket. Large room with strong ac. Shower too strong though. Need to reduce flow. No security just reception maids and bellboy.

The room was pretty nice. The rooftop pool was great. The laundry and gym facilities are shoddy. Most glaringly, there is no breakfast or dining, despite several photos showing this on their Expedia page.

We got this hotel in a very affordable expedia package. The only off-putting thing was Russian YouTube that wouldn't switch to English via TV settings. Plenty of other English language TV though. This hotel is middle of the road Panama standard with a genuinely happy, caring and professional staff .

I have stayed here multiple times. The staff are very friendly, helpful and responsive to requests. It's a safe location with many dinning options. There are also convenience stores and grocery stores close by. An added plus is that the staff speaks English! This helps with interactions. I want to say thank you to Isabella. She is always ready to help!

Nice spacious room, brightly lit, good air conditioning. Window opened to a very close neighboring apartment building that wasn't so nice. The safe did not work, and there was a fine layer of black dirt on parts of the floor which clung to our feet. I mentioned both of these at the reception desk, and also mentioned them in my Expedia feedback, but for our stay of 3 nights nothing was done to remedy these. The staff was friendly and the hotel lobby is inviting.

I stayed at the Hotel Coral Suite for 3 weeks and can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s very conveniently placed, clean and, in my opinion, a real gem. All staff were very friendly and the Hotel has a 24 hour manned reception. I think the facility is better described as a number of apartments. I found the spacious rooms (I stayed in two rooms) to be ideal for me, a solo traveller but they would be acceptable to a couple or a small family too as the rooms are, in effect, small apartments/bedsits with basic kitchen facilities and a sofa so I was able to sit comfortably on any day I wanted to stay in the room. There is a laundry room which is very convenient for travellers and a small pool on the roof. The hotel can also arrange tours. It’s a fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended.
