Great hotel for a short trip in Arad

Hotel is very central, you can walk to most key places. We were even able to charge our electric car and we parked right in front if the hotel (parking is not included). The view from the hotel was great. Staff was nice and friendly.

Big room and clean, safe area!

The staff were good and the room was clean however the building itself seems very dated and basic.

Well situated and run extremely professionally exactly what you would expect from a hotel better than it's 4 star rating.

This property is clean, the staff is great and the food they serve during breakfast and room service is very good. This property has been modernized in the common areas. However, the furniture in the suite we rented was old and shows excessive use. The suite we rented, had uncomfortable, discolored and dated couch and armchairs. Should the furniture be updated, we would give this hotel a 5 star.

Good property in the citycenter, hotel not so crowded, restaurant functional as should be (not only for the breakfast), easy to reach city center points of interests by walking. Room clean, even the hotel will need a refurbish sooner then later.

I asked for a room on the top floor and I was offered a room on the 1st floor. I didn't complain but eventually I found out later on that the WIFI wasn't working on that area which matters a lot to me. I was there for work, not leisure.

It’s a fabulous hotel. The rooms are spacious and greet you with water and coffee and mini fridge should you decide to partake or need to keep something cold. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly suggest if you need accommodations in Arad, you stay here. Everything is within walking distance. Museums, the river walk, restaurants and shopping.

The best place in the city. Not so new, yet still elegant and classy. Food is excellent. Great customer service. I forgot my wallet on the front desk top and by the time I reached the 1st floor room somebody was already ahead of me bringing my wallet.

Very friendly people working in the hotel, from front desk to maid, everyone is very enthusiastic to help.Hotel is very close to everything, easy to walk around the center and access the restaurants and shopping. Enjoyed staying there.

Everything was excellent except the first night when there was a party on the top floor and the loud music was still on at 5.00 am. Otherwise, everything was great: good service, nice people, excellent breakfast.

Great location, some improvements needed

The room was comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the location was great. However, the bathroom was very unpleasant. There was a persistent urine smell that permeated the bathroom and also the bedroom. The shower drain was slow and you had to shower with water up to your ankles. Bathrooms need to be cleaned better.

Great property conveniently located in downtown Arad. Friendly staff. Very clean rooms. Good breakfast selection. Wish the hotel had a small gym, but that is the only inconvenience.

What a hotel should be like

I was very happy to return to Continental Forum in October 2021, even for a night. This is a hotel which bucked the trend and remained wonderful, while others changed for the worse. First - the same friendly, efficient staff is still there. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bathrooms modern, with shower with a movable head as well as rain. Second - no false savings. They still offer individual toiletries and travel kits, packaged in bottles and not stuck to the wall. I love them for it. Cleaning service is daily. Third - a wonderful kitchen. For a hearty breakfast in a spacious room, as well as for room service. And a full minibar, plus tea and coffee maker and supplies in the room. These factors, together with its location in the literal center of Arad, make it my repeated choice over the years. I will be back! S&A: The hotel is fully wheelchair-accessible and all rooms have double locks with a blocker from the inside.

Location centered in the middle of the city. Close to all kind of restaurant and beautiful walk.

The hotel is poorly decorated even though relatively new. The design as well as products are dated, from the bathroom condition to the chairs at the breakfast area which were screeching into terrible noise.

Stayed here for a business trip. Staff were friendly, hotel was clean if not a little tired looking in the rooms. Very functional - not great but not bad for the price.

Arriving and struggling to find a parking space we soon learned why. A chess tournament was in progress so the were dozens of gabbling kids and noise. Staff were good. Room was fine and had all you need. Once the kids went it was quite ok. Breakfast average

Beautiful hotel and very kind employees. Bathrooms could use a little bit of fixing up but the rooms make up for it they are very beautiful and clean.

Great location. Lovely hotel. Everybody was very pleasant and helpful. The room and balcony was a good size, and very clean. The bathroom included a lovely big walk in shower. Air con that worked well. Good choice at breakfast. I will be staying here again on my next trip to Arad.

Best choice for a hotel accomodation in Arad

I believe that Hotel Continental Forum is the best alternative in Arad to stay. Just this time WiFi connection was weak from which the hotel management was already aware.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very clean and quiet with upgraded bathroom which included a glass vanity and an extra large room. The best part was the amazing breakfast well supplied with true Romanian goodies! Also centrally located and close to shops, restaurants and river walk!

Confirms its high quality and practicality

Once again, Continental Hotel Arad proves both friendly, and well kept, clean and most importantly a perfect place to crash after a very hard day. I was once again impressed by the friendliness of the staff, their help in extending the stay, as well as a very good kitchen. The room is spacious, the view, particularly at night is quite pretty, and it even has a true open balcony. The bath is well fitted and there is enough space to move around. All in all, it confirms my choice for it.

Very modern with staff focused on customer service. There is a veranda hidden by trees as you exit the dining hall. Very pleasant way to spend a few hours.

Not a 4 star hotel...

This in fact is a 3 star hotel. From room settings, amenities (or lack of them) to the overall feeling and staff reaction. Not bad but not 4 star... Bathroom could be a lot cleaner. Receptionist during check out threw me off that much that I forgot to take a receipt.. (my fault, but I'm just saying that stay there wasn't comfortable) I don't see myself returning there... Only good thing about this hotel is its location.

City break

Had a brilliant time in Arad and the hotel was very comfortable and the staff always helpful. Breakfast and room service was excellent and they alway have time for you. The room was clean and provided air conditioning and a balcony too. I look forward to stay at the hotel again in October. City of Arad is beautiful and lots of sites to see.

Good hotel, I had a big issue checking in because expedia didn't provide a confirmation number. Had to call from Rumania directly to Expedia's customer support, it only took like 1 hr to check in.

Beautiful sites from balcony

Hotel is fine, it just needs to be updated. No plug by the bed at all. Only one plug in the whole room i could use for charging both phone and computer. Bathroom also needs major update

Horrible service!

The continental hotel in Arad double charged me and refused to correct their mistake. I believe they took advantage of me because I was a visitor from America. Not friendly to international travelers!!!

Stay away

Safe not working, phone not working, carpets old, rooms smells of cigarettes and very musty, sent ironing without ironing, waited ten minutes for restaurant service, breakfast is mediocre at best. Many other issues.

Nice hotel, very easy to reach from the motorway

Only needed a place to sleep as I was travelling, so didn't make full use of it. But the staff was friendly and polite, breakfast was decent, and I was in a quiet, spacious room with a decent view. Worth a stay if you book online.

Poor internet in expensive hotel - unacceptable!

Don't stay there for business but for pleasure because the internet connection is so poor it'll cause you sleepless nights waiting for emails to go through etc! The rooms are purpuse build and quiet, what is great but have some minuses too: not even 1 bottle of free water included, doors to balcony can only be opened completely and not be tilted open so you may not want to do that over night if you need fresh air, and single beds a tiny (go for double!). Breakfast is boring and coffee is horrible!

Great location very close to motorway and the town at night is pretty.we stay here twice a year whilst travelling to and from bulgaria with our three dogs and have done for the last five years.keep up the good work the only thing I missed was baked beans at breakfast.

Arad trip

Great experience, wonderful staff. First night was noisy becase of a "prom" party going on in the bar located on the ground floor. Remainder of nights were fine. The view from higher levels is great.
