An AMAZING hotel in the heart of Seville! I highly recommend and would recommend that you spend the extra for a Premium Red Level room, which comes with Red Level Lounge access and a special dining room with a delicious buffet and food (buy the breakfast option). The hotel itself is a tribute to Spanish culture. Each floor is dedicated to a different Spanish artist, which replicas of paintings on each door. There are Spanish art and items throughout the main level, which includes a stunning bar area with stained class roof. There is a live Flamenco show in the lobby and live music for the Red Level dining room on weekends. The rooms and beds were beautiful, clean and comfortable (beds were very comfy). There is an outdoor heated pool on the top level overlooking Seville (go at sunset or during the day), where you’ll be able to relax and hear the bells of Seville chime. There is also a sauna and steam room for guests. The gym is small but very nice and has everything you need for a vacation workout. Each member of the staff was incredibly polite and courteous! If you’re going to Seville, this hotel is a must!

Nice hotel in a great location. Close to the cathedral, boutiques and restaurants. Breakfast buffet was adequate, however, you can order from the menu without addition charges. As expected in any major city parking charges were 32 euros a day. It’s vallet parking so plan accordingly and call ahead if you need your car at a certain time. The hotel staff, including the valet parking staff were awesome.

Very small room. Hard to move a round in the room. WiFi and toilet not working all the time.

Excellent hotel, amazing staff

The absolute gem of our trip!

It’s honestly hard, if not impossible, to list all the great attributes of this hotel. Perhaps the best way to describe would be that this is a situation where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. The hotel is almost magical and perfect. First, the rooftop pool view at night is stunning. Next, the breakfast is outstanding, the rooms are top tier on many fronts, the staff is SUPER friendly and immediately helpful, the lobby common areas are inviting and intriguing, the bar and staff are superior, etc etc etc. Also, of special mention is the location. Walk out the front door and you’re steps away from multiple amazing streets/attractions/areas of town. I was traveling with four in my family and another family of three, and we all have agreed that we’ll most definitely be back to Sevilla, and this hotel, again in the near future. In short, this place is on the very top of my list when in the southern Spain/Portugal border area. The hotel itself was a highlight of our trip and not just a place to stay.

We LOVED our stay at the hotel. We booked last minute to Sevilla and ended up at this hotel with two families - both of us had young kids. The hotel was wonderful with the kids. This was also the rare hotel where the photos don’t do it justice - it is way more beautiful than the photos, and the photos are great! There was a very comfortable spa and rooftop pool. The bar and sitting lounge is awesome! We had live music on Sunday am and flamenco Saturday night. The hotels location is great for wandering, with about four different areas to explore right outside the door. The breakfast was included and delicious. Overall we would highly recommend it!!

I leave in Miami but I’m originally from Sevilla, I normally stay at Alfonso 13 hotel but this time we want to change for another (great hotel ) Sorry but I’m very disappointed of the hotel 1- not air conditioning in hallways, restaurants, very little in the rooms 2- pool deck area need upgrades urgently, very bad maintenance, pool is a joke 3- we rent a suit and the sofa-bed don’t have clothes and when we ask never get it 4- when we arrive was not one to help with luggage (5 start hotel?) Sorry but this is not 5 start hotel anymore Sincerely Daniel Mige

A great hotel with a excellent staff. I requested some flowers for my wife and the staff made a great job. The recommendations for restaurants and tours were excellent. We will be back to this hotel.

Service and staff were impecable. Very tiny pool but very private roof top area with a spa. Hotel concierge service helpful and excellent service. Breakfast was excellent and also private snack area for guests with upgrades.

Overall a great experience

An excellent 5-star establishment. I highly recommend the red-level cathedral view of the city. I was on the seventh floor with a breathtaking city view and had access to the executive lounge.

I will definitely be staying at this hotel again. We chose this hotel due to location and also the luxury of it from my mother‘s 90th birthday. The staff was unbelievable. I’ve never stayed six nights in a hotel before and when I left, I felt like I was family.. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay the best ever and they exceeded all expectations Would like to, especially give a shout out to Oscar, bartender, Andres, and Alberto. There are so many more that I did not get their names, but these three stood out for going above and beyond customer service and friendliness. See you in May 2025

The Hotel Colon Gran Meliá was beautiful and walking distance to all or the historic buildings and tourist attractions. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was amazing.

The staff was excellent, from check in to room service, the concierge was especially helpful in recommending a pharmacy close by. The breakfast was exceptional good. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The room is clean and comfortable, the service is very good too. The problem was the room was too bright too sleep at night because the emergency exit light above the entrance door was too bright and the light from the outside window shines into the room also at night because the window curtain could not cover the window completely. We appreciated the hotel staff's effort to fix the problem.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, and everything we needed was provided. The hotel is in a great location within a short walk to the cathedral and the Alcázar. The breakfast was delicious. The view from the rooftop pool was amazing.

My stay at a class-act hotel

My trip to the beautiful city of Seville was enriched by my stay at the Gran Melia Colón. The staff were very accommodating, friendly, and competent. The food was outstanding, which led expectedly to my gaining a few pounds. The red-level room was particularly inviting and comfortable.

Underwhelming for the price.

For a 5 star hotel it was a bit underwhelming. Having come from the Casa Palacio Maria Luisa in Jerez which I know if a much smaller 5 star hotel I was left feeling disappointed with the lack of attention to detail. Examples were not noticing that our coffee supplies needed topping up or that we spent have any shower gel even after the room service. The TV kept goi g out of service probably due to the poor wifi and nobody other than a man on the concierge desk (Oscar) smiled and was warm and friendly.

Excellent hotel excellent rooms super super clean. Great breakfast. Specially Rocio one of the waitress. She was fantastic.

As its name sounds, this hotel is grand looking lobby area. Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Nice attitude by staff. We walked to major attatractions and had great food within walking distance.

The hotel staff was very professional and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast had variety and was delicious. A special thank you to Rosanna the concierge who referred us to excellent restaurants. Not only the food was good but it was a very nice experience. The hotel in general would need a little update, and the water of the pool was not clear. It was still very appreciated after a day at 43 degres!

Overall a great stay. I would have expected more from a 5-star hotel, particularly in terms of amenities and refreshments, but the hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were very hospitable.

We had an unexpectedly great stay. This was a rest point between Lisbon and Tangier, and we expected to do a quick in-and-out. We lingered a bit in the AM because everything was so lovely, and the breakfast was delicious.

Beautiful hotel, and definitely a five-star hotel. Their decor was modern, yet they incorporated history into it. The room doors are especially unique. It was an elegant and classy hotel. The room was very nice, and the beds were very comfortable. My daughter gave the rollaway bed a thumbs up on comfort. Although it was extremely hot outside, the room was nice and cool! The breakfast buffet was great. The hotel was right in the city center, yet without any noise! We will stay again!!

We have just spent four nights at the Colon Gran Meliá and I wouldn’t have believed on the first night that I would be writing a positive review but the staff at the Colon Gran Meliá were outstanding. There were multiple problems with our first room but when I reported them to the night manager we were moved straight away. The next day the assistant manager gave us several room options and she provided us with such a high level of customer service that she more than made up for the initial problems. Throughout our stay all the staff were helpful and attentive. Breakfast especially was excellent and it is always great service when your preferences are remembered. The hotel is in an excellent location for sightseeing and Seville was a charming place. If we return to Seville I would happily stay at the Colon Gran Amelia again.

We liked everything, except dinner was served kind of late for us, like 7:30 or 8 pm Otherwise everything was perfect 🙏 Concierge was very helpful 🙏

Fantastic hotel and staff to match

Enjoyed our stay here overall. Problem with a delayed bag and concierge really helpful by making phone calls etc. Very impressed with this service. Room was small and hot. Rooftop pool nice but too small and difficult to get a bed/seat. Breakfast quite nice. I’m not sure we got great value for money here compared with other places we stayed on our 2 week Andalucian cycle trip.

Hotel is very well located in the centre of Seville - good for exploring. Room and services were excellent. El Burladero restaurant is definitely worth a visit. We would especially like to thank Alejandro for his excellent assistance during our trip.

Great location, but the room is small. Bathroom is small but the biggest problem for me was that the bathroom shower is see through but covered with a curtain. So if someone opened a curtain (think a naughty kid) can see a person showering, it’s the most bizarre thing I have seen in a hotel room

Lovely hotel with great service. Everything within a 15 minute walk like the Cathedral or Alcazar Palace. We had booked a Red level room and felt it was worth paying the extra money for Red level. Nice size room with Nespresso coffee machine and good size bathroom

Great hotel for weeklong family vacation in Sevilla. Walked to most major attractions and plenty of restaurant options nearby. Included breakfast was awesome with buffet and cooked to order options. Heated pool was great for kids to splash in the middle of days even in late February.
