Beds were comfortable. Staff was responsive. Property needs maintenance and an Upgrade.
Being ear plugs
Bring your ear plugs. Yes, there was construction in the hotel while we're there but even absent that construction. The room was very noisy from outside traffic, cars, people, music, etc. They really should think about offering ear plugs to all of the people who stay.
Great location close to restaurants bars and shops. Staff was amazing always willing to help, book tours, and giving advice.
Very comfortable room, unfortunately there was construction going on very early when we were there. The included breakfast was very good.
Helpful staff. Nice restaurants nearby.
The staff was incredible! Friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. Leaving was like saying goodbye to friends.
Visiting a new city for the first time is always a gamble when choosing an area/ hotel to stay in. I was very happy to have chosen both Palermo AND Hotel Clasico! No frills but extremely distinct and loads of Argentine charm. Good breakfast, accommodating staff and comfy beds!
Quaint, artful -- not for those who fuss over every convenience. This is a relaxed, artistic setting in a good location. For those who want lots of room and all the accoutrements, this place isn't for you. This place is charm, really nice people, beautiful, "old Europe" like most of Buenos Aires. And great breakfasts. Argentina doesn't do coffee well so afficionados like me need Starbucks, but this place also does tea.
There is a construction next to the hotel impossible to sleep, property is old worn down , breakfast is horrible
The interior is retro is not my favorite style. But the staff is super friendly always helpfull
Major construction going on next door. The loud sound of construction ruined my stay.
Lot’s of charm and well located
Very good location and price.
A great hotel in a fantastic location. In walking distance to a brilliant area of Buenos Aires with lots of fantastic restaurants and bars. Comfortable bed and very clean. Room was a little on the small size. We had breakfast included which was good but quite a limited sweet-heavy offering.
Great boutique hotel
A wonderful stay!
Character in Palermo
The hotel is situated in Palermo, one of the most vibrant neighbourhoods of Buenos Aires. It is full of character. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 4 nights and can only recommend it , if you are looking for a great deal.
Worn down hotel
This hotel was worn down and had seen better days. Photos like better than reality. We changed rooms three times. The first room was next to the elevator. The second room didn’t have a functional phone or safe deposit box. In the third room at night, the toilet fixture to flush suddenly flew off the wall. The bed was OK, the front desk people friendly. Coffee wasn’t good. The location, however, was fabulous with restaurants and shops nearby. But I wouldn’t stay here again.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location, so many restaurants close by. Beautiful room, comfortable bed
Excellent and quiet (facing back area).
Pretty and great location with some minor issues
The hotel was beautiful and in a wonderful location. The staff was friendly and super helpful. Structurally, the hotel seems to be poorly built as noise carries very easily through the rooms. The hotel is also advertised as being adults only but there were several toddlers who were very loud.
Hotel Clasico was a well placed hotel with a notable atmosphere and great service. Julieta was especially great as she allowed us to have a later than usual check out. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for good food options and to have a good time in Palermo.
I have to confess that my first impression of this hotel was far from positive, mainly because I arrived early in the morning before sunrise and found the reception and other public areas quite underwhelming and in need of a bit of a facelift. But within a few hours I fell in love with Hotel Clasico! It's a perfect hotel in a charming neighbourhood near all kinds of Buenos Aires attractions and close to some amazing places to eat and drink. The rooms are lovely, with nice balconies and comfy beds.
Good location, but very rundown property. I was unable to sleep the first night because the air conditioning was dripping water on the bed. When reported, I was offered a room on the first floor, which was extremely noisy to sleep in. Hotel is on top of a few restaurants. The service I received at breakfast was borderline with offensive. I would not go back to this hotel, having so many other very good options to choose from.
Overall great place, lacks finesse in the details
Great place to stay in. Need a bit of spruce up. The reception personnel is helpful and pleasant. The breakfast service let the place down a bit. They could have prepared the penthouse a bit more for guests, and offer proper room service, specially at breakfast time.
Loved this hotel! Perfect smaller hotel in a nice location in Palermo. could easily head out walking to many nice areas, restaurants, coffee shops etc...Not a real loud or touristy feeling spot, but still 'active' and fun! Loved the front desk hosts. Breakfast was a basic argentinian type...a bit of eggs and ever typical 'jamon y queso' sandwich...Highly recommend this great spot.
Cute decor and helpful staff
I loved the style and decor of my room and the hotel overall. The front staff were always very helpful with all of my questions about the Palermo neighborhood and Buenos Aires in general. Great service! Breakfast included and is made to order. It is walking distance to the Subte station. The only complaint is the in-room fridge didn't work but the staff stored my stuff in the kitchen downstairs so it was fine.
Super hotel
Ideal location in Palermo. Loads of restaurants and bars at reasonable prices. Hotel was small but cosy and quirky.Lovely breakfast room, and breakfast was fresh scrambled eggs—really delicious.Staff were very attentive and obliging. Highly recommended for a few days stay.
Good location within walking distance to shopping district and restaurants. Near the top steakhouse, Don Julio. Classical theme with good size room and bathroom.
Excellent customer service, walkable location full of restaurants, bars, shops, choice of hot breakfast items at attached restaurant which was very good. We would stay here again.
Great location, good breakfast, helpful staff. I didn't stay for very long but it was very comfortable. I would stay here again.
The staff was extremely helpful. The decor was very interesting.
The hotel is in a great location. Plenty of restaurants and cafes. The fridge could use an upgrade, mine didn’t work. The bathrooms could use a bidet, we are in Argentina after all.
We’ve stayed here four times!
We’ve stayed here several times. It is convenient to many great restaurants, very comfortable rooms, helpful staff and nice breakfast.
good location little outdated but overall not to bad
The location in Palermo is great. It was easy to walk everywhere. It’s an old hotel so the rooms and bathroom are very small. It’s noisy on the street side during the weekend, especially. The hotel could use an update. Ramon at the front desk was great. He spoke great English, was friendly and very helpful.
clean, well located and atmospheric
This is a smallish hotel which is very well run.It has atmosphere and a great café downstairs. The breakfasts are awesome and its in a great area. There are lots of good restaurants around. It is also close to Jorge Newberry Airport. (the smaller one in BA). It goes without saying that the rooms are spotless and the sheets perfect.
Good location. Helpful staff. Nice room. We only stayed one night, but liked the hotel.
Fantastic place to stay, a bit quirky and I love they about the place. Very friendly helpful staff.
Nice boutique hotel in a great part of town. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and nicely decorated and breakfast was great.
The room was so comfy elegant helpful staff great neighborhood spacious
The staff were super nice and accommodating. The breakfasts were good and appetizing and we enjoyed the vibe of staying in this part of Buenos Aires. Accessible to good restaurants and main points of interest by taxi.
Stylish boutique hotel in BA
Very nice boutique hotel in BA - very good service and stylish, comfortable rooms. Breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was very good, beyond the usual buffet. Only downsides: noise travels easily between rooms and we had some neighbours who wanted to party, and the front door which needs to be opened by the staff each time, and you can stand there waiting to come in if they don’t notice you.
BA Boutique Hotel in Palermo Hollywood
Good location. Friendly, helpful, English-speaking staff. Great breakfast. Nice, small hotel. Could be freshened up a bit, but overall a good value for the price. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from nearby. I would stay there again.
We were so happy with our stay. Soft sheets, nice bed, perfect location, friendly smiling staff, sweet breakfast, all in a fun and eclectically decorated space.
Excellent location and excellent restaurants in the neighborhood. Front desk staffing very helpful and hotel restaurant staff were all great. Bus stops within a block. Subway a half mile away. Close to Botanical Garden and Eco park. Hotel did not have any cable news programs in English.
Outstanding
Wonderful place. Great rooms, cool decor, great breakfast, good location. Recommended
Super cool hotel!
Great hotel in Palermo Hollywood! Great staff and the breakfast was excellent! Ramon in reception is kind and extremely helpful!
Recommend Hotel Clasico 100%
Loved the Hotel Clasico. Great location, stylish hotel with excellent service. Loved it in every way. Breakfast was great too.
Great neighbourhood, wonderful staff and excellent breakfast choices
wonderful service
greet hotel
We really liked this hotel It has a kind of old charm. It has three stars and we think it fullfilled its stars. You get value for money. The breakfast was excellent. It was not a buffé but you could order specific dishes which was really good. The staff was helpful and accomodating. If you dont want a five star hotell you should book this one as it is most likely compared with a four star hotel.
Charming hotel in a great area. Rooms are nice and comfortable bed. Receptionist not very service minded and some attitude also smell of mould in room take the overall rating down.
Noisy
Pipe is very noisy
I especially liked the restaurant. The hotel is basically a very nice restaurant with a few hotel rooms above. The breakfast was absolutely amazing
Very friendly and helpful during my very short stay.would definitely stay there again.
Well designed and decorated within the constraint if a small building.
Good, but a few things to note
Great place, good value, breakfast awesome. Room itself could use some repairs. Mirror in bathroom was damaged, some other items looked great in photos but in person seemed worn. Not as clean as I would like and you could hear just about everything going on in the floor, especially running water from the taps in the wall. Overall, I would say the hotel is good, but not as fresh as the photos.
This is great hotel with the awesome location in Palermo. There are a lot of restaurants and bars. Stuff were great, really recommend this hotel. See you next time
The property is in the Palermo with access to many bars and restaurants. The decor of the hotel is quite beautiful and made to look retro vintage. The hotel staff are very helpful, and a wealth of knowledge about the area. The hotel needs some ongoing maintenance on a regular basis for items that weren’t working. This did not seem to be available. Otherwise they would have gotten a better rating.
The front desk attendant is very nice and helpful. but the room 105 we got is terrible. The shower doors are falling apart and the outlets in bath room are not working . we have to use the blower outside with the outlet inside the closet. Not a pleasant stay.
The location is a ten minute walk to Palermo metro, but surrounded by decent bars and restaurants. The hotel is quirky and beautiful. The lift is a surprise and always made me smile. The breakfast room is quite sublime, and the set breakfasts are nicely varied. The front desk team are helpful and speak some English. The shower has great power. I couldn't ask for more, and two day after returning home, it still makes me smile. This is one of my favourite hotels ever.
Wonderful hotel in Palermo, Buenos Aires
Classic hotel, great location for restaurants and sightseeing. Enjoyed rooftop and great breakfast and staff!
Great area and support staff
Great front desk support and breakfast staff
Awesome location, character building, doing some renovations then even better. Great friendly, helpful staff.
Awesome stay
Great stay. Roger was a big help at the front desk as I spoke zero Spanish. My air conditioning could have been better, but overall amazing.
Great Stay
Great stay. Room was great and staff was amazing. I spoke no Spanish yet was very comfortable. Roger at the front desk was awesome. Helped me during the entire process. Originally booked for two days that turned into four
Best thing about the property...the front desk staff; particularly Fernando and Roger.
Small, comfortable and the right size. Very helpful staff. Great location. We would happily stay there again.
great hotel! beautiful design, excellent breakfast with varied choices and amazing location - best in Buenos Aires!
Amazing stay in a great hotel!
Absolutely amazing hotel! Love the design and decor of hotel. Great location in Palermo Hollywood. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The breakfast downstairs was great as well every morning. 10/10!!
Superb staff. Very helpful. Quirky hotel with fabulous interior design. Good location. Bars and restaurants closeby
WHAT A GEM!! this hotel is beyond incredible, from the location, the property and the staff.. thank you so much for making our stay so amazing! Can't wait to be back!
Perfect for a stay in Buenos Aires
Comfortable and characterful hotel in a great location to get around Buenos Aires. Staff were really great, friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfasts!
Overall good place to stay!
Staff were very helpful when asked for recommendations. Was sent to a couple of tourist traps however this is on us as we didn't do the research ourselves. Location was good however the bathroom did seem to have a number of issues.
We had to check-in very early in the morning, at about 3am. They made check-in super fast and sent us to bed. Breakfast was amazing, one of the best! Then there was the helpful staff, always willing to give recommendations and point us in the right direction. One of my favorite places!
Nice and original little hotel
Very nice little place , receptionist staff is very helpful . Aerea with plenty of restaurants and bars. Only problem the water in the shower was coming really hot from both sides hot and cold. Breakfast is very tasty and varied
Fantastic hotel
An excellent stay with fantastic staff and lovely rooms. The only thing that could be improved is the WiFi. The breakfast was our favourite in Argentina.
Fabulous stay! Thank you.
Very friendly staff and has one of the best complementary breakfasts I’ve ever had.
cool little place
I travel a fair amount on business and will try new places. First time staying in Palermo and decided to try Clasico. So glad I did. Front staff were friendly, gave good recommendations. Room was good. Overall a great little funky hotel! Breakfast was a choice of several things. I did the NY bagel and eggs. It was very good. Next year when I come back to Argentina, I'll most likely staying here again.
Good, not great
Great area and decor, very noisy. Towels were really old
It was okay but smelt bad
Pros. An okay choice for a couple of nights. Okay breakfast and helpful front desk. Cons. Strong smell of oil in the reception area and elevator that made us feel queasy. Low water pressure in shower.
Palermo is a terrific neighborhood
Great, boutique hotel with full menu breakfast included and located in a terrific neighborhood with lots of nightlife options. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend if you are a boutique--type traveler. If you are a big, global brand traveler, probably not your thing.
Great location. Staff very helpful with everything. Receptionists very nice and professionals. The breakfast was delicious. There were many options. Area near bars and restaurants. Highly recommended.
Great Location
We arrived late at night and were able to check in right away, even though it was midnight. The staff were friendly, helpful and approachable. During the first night, the room upstairs was quite loud so we requested a change in rooms, they were very happy to oblige with a smile. It was Easter and as a nice touch, they left an artisan chocolate egg in the room for us! Nice touch. The breakfast was quite good too. Would stay again.
Really nice staff
Great location. Close to good restaurant and subway
One night stopover in Buenos Aires
We only stayed here for one night on a stopover in Buenos Aires. We arrived around 10pm and check-in was good and efficient. We had a room on the second floor facing the road. We had to leave for our flight at 6:45am so we asked the receptionist whether it would be possible to get a small breakfast before our taxi arrives. Breakfast doesn’t start at the hotel until 7am but the receptionist said that he would arrange some coffee and pastries which we were fine with. The next morning there was a different receptionist and no pastries or any other form of breakfast was available. This was very disappointing. We had stayed at the Home Hotel the previous week and had the same early departure and they had prepared us a lovely breakfast spread at 6am. The hotel provides ear plugs in your room as there is a lot of noise from the street. We were in a double room yet only 1 set of ear plugs was provided. There was a lot of noise so we didn’t sleep very well. It would be worth asking for a room which doesn’t face the road. The main blackout curtains also didn’t close properly so you would be woken up from the light. Not the worst experience but also not the best.
Lovely boutique hotel
Great location close to restaurants, and excellent rooms. Reception staff were all extremely helpful with local advise and getting taxis etc.
Small, smart & stylish, with limited facilities
Small, but smart & stylish hotel in the trendy Palermo district. The location was good for exploring Palermo and the nearby sites, including many parks and green spaces. It was close to a subway station for access into the centre of the city; although the walk into the centre is quite long, it covers a lot of shopping areas. My room was smartly, if sparsely, decorated with a small balcony. It was quite small, but perfectly sufficient for me travelling solo. However, I did get a splinter from an untreated floorboard and it was slightly concerning that there didn’t appear to be any smoke detectors in the rooms, only in the corridors. Pluses: - Smart & stylish - Clean room - Good location for Palermo district & subway to centre - Balcony - Air conditioning - Friendly staff (special mention to Ramon!) - Bike hire available - Lift with murals painted on one wall as you go up & down (very unique!) - Free gym (though off-site) - Free wi-fi (I got very good speeds of ~30Mb/s) - Mini-bar Negatives: - Floorboards in my room produced splinters - No smoke detectors in room, only in corridor - No tea/coffee making facilities in the room – there is a Nespresso machine for use on the 1st floor - Quite small room (though perfectly sufficient for one) - The breakfast from the adjoining Mooi café was OK, but fairly limited choice – some of which had run out on my second day
Helpful
We needed assistance with arranging an earlier flight for the next day...Carola at main desk was able to do it in a flash with a genuine smile
Lovely, boutique hotel, great location.
This is a super little hotel in the heart of the Palermo district. This is an area with plenty of food and drink establishments, away from a major road and is easy commuting distance from the smaller of the two airports. Staff here are very helpful and the breakfast is super. Rooms are clean and well appointed.
A must for short travel
We stayed 3 nights in Buenos Aires and this was the perfect location with many great restaurants and bars nearby. Very unique hotel that could have better upkeep and maintenance but overall great experience.
Business for a couple of days. Pros: Location is great, lots of restaurants and bars, good breakfast Cons: Small room, no work area, no room service for a couple of days, very noisy at night.
Perfect location
As a solo 18 year old staying in BA this was the perfect place, central to everything I needed and safe and beautiful suburb! Staff at the front desk were amazing and were happy to help me find a place to exchange USD (although they did offer exchange at the hotel) and get a SIM for my phone. Rooms were cheap but classy and clean and the breakfast was not a buffet rather a small menu with about 8 items that you can choose from. As my bus was not until 10.30 at night they offered me a free late check out and I was still allowed to use the hotel amenities while they held my bag once I had checked out. Room also had a safe which was greately appreciated. Will definitely be back! Thank you guys so much x
Great accomodation in BA with very helpful staff
Staff made everything very easy with great food recommendations and other advice on activities in BA. Room was very clean. It was on the smaller but this was absolutely fine as there is so much to do around BA.
Nice location and good breakfast.
Ramon at the front desk was always helpful and friendly . He even gave a bottle of wine and some chocolates for my birthday . The front desk mananger was very helpful. A very nice stay !
great place to stay
Welcoming friendly reception staff, room excellent, breakfast great. Lots of choice for eating in the local area. Safe to walk around in the evening
Excellent location
The hotel isn’t in a really good location, I liked the rooms, breakfast, etc. The A/C is not that great but it will depend if you go during summer or winter when you’ll experience it.

Good, with TLC could be excellent
On arrival the lift failed and we were left in reception for nearly three quarters of an hour on a hot evening without knowing when we would gain access to our room. Receptionist alone and called lift man but left waiting with bags. Room lovely. Nicely decorated and equipped. Super coffee bag.Bathroom needed new loo seat. Fabulous breakfast with fruit salad and yoghurt as well as cooked and bakery range. Kind receptionist allowed us to leave our bags on day of departure!
