Awesome hotel close to subway station, restaurants and shoppers. The private parking for the hotel was a huge plus, totall worth the cost as its near impossible to find parking in the streets. Great home base to explore Prague! Excellent breakfast too!
Room was big in size, Room could have done with Air Conditioning as it became very warm during night even with windows open. A kettle with tea and coffee available would have been been great. Buffet breakfast was good. Location was great nice Irish bar round corner(Becketts) lovely staff lovely cheap meals and beer. About 30-40 mins walk to Charles Bridge
The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions. Really nice area.
Quiet area with excellent places to eat within walking distance, very polite and helpful receptionist, spacious room. Had a great nights sleep. Easy transport into city centre. Walking distance to main train station. We enjoyed the breakfast. Could have done with more fruit options at breakfast (every day was only apples) perhaps amenities such as hairdryer in the room, and the bedsheet had a small hole in it, could have some more attention to detail with these things.
Rooms were quite old, breakfast staff not too welcoming but a medium food quality. No lights on the 4th floor. You could hear all the noise from outside. Pillows not too good. As an overall was a good experience but probably better hotels around.
The hotel was in a nice an quiet location. The staff were friendly and helpful. Only thing to improve upon is the breakfast selection.
The room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located a couple of blocks away from public transport in a quiet and lovely neighbourhood. Walking around the area is a delight and there's nice restaurants and bars around. I had a great stay here.
The staff were so friendly and helpful they assisted always with any questions that I had about the areas. The property is very nice and their breakfast was nice and well setup.
The toilet smelled bad , was no light in bathroom.
Great reception staff, all of them were very nice and helpful. The location is excellent, a subway stop is close to the hotel and the area where it is located is quiet.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, very pleasant!
The staff was friendly and professional. They were good English speakers, too. We had a “Family room”, essentially, two large bedrooms, connected to a shared hallway with a bathroom and separate toilet. The hotel is older, but clean and well maintained. Breakfast was provided with a buffet. The buffet contained scrambled eggs, various cold cuts (sliced hams, cheeses, salamis), vegetables (sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers), many types of bread, cakes, danishes, and an available toaster. There was yogurt, milk, fruit juices, cereals, coffee, and hot tea. It was not super fancy by any stretch, but it was good and there was something for most any taste. The breakfast room was pleasant and there was plenty of space there, or in a connected room to relax and enjoy a meal.
One of the best places I’ve stayed in Prague... The only note is that there was no fridge or water heater in the room, but not having fridge noise at night was actually appreciated 😊
Nice big rooms and tidy
All round had a pleasing stay at the city bell For the price you pay the room does the job Did miss the small things such as tea/coffee making facilities and breakfast was extremely basic
Clean and tidy, good location for Wenceslas Square etc. Bars and shops in close proximity also .
Nodi is awesome!! And the room is super spacious and comfortable!!
Great location! Spacious room with great view! It doesn’t have a safety box. Good breakfast included. Staff was very helpful and nice.
Huge rooms and really friendly and nice people at the reception
Great, clean hotel! Staff was friendly and was there when we needed them with a bathroom mishap the first night. Accidentally booked the room for one person, but was for two people. Staff responded right away for request for two twin beds and only charged us a little fee. Free breakfast was a nice bonus! Great location to get away from all the tourist from the center of town, but close enough that is walkable by 15-20 minutes.
Great hotel! I had a won
Reasonably-priced and convenient
A very reasonably-priced hotel with breakfast included only a short walk away from the national museum and the train station. The nearby area has a good selection of cafes and restaurants, and even a karaoke bar, which makes this hotel ideal for friends on a weekend trip to the city.
Cozy & Friendly
Check-in was smooth, and friendly staff :)
The bed was comfortable abd the room was bigger than expected. It was difficult to shower because the shower head made the water run so slow...
Quiet place
Not well furnitured but clean, and the room has the most important: QUIETNESS ! I have a good sleep. I will suggest to others especially solo.
Amazing experience, very friendly staff.
Great value for money with breakfast included!
Really liked staying in this hotel. The price of the room was relatively low so I did not expect to have such a nice and comfortable room that included breakfast! The triple room we stayed in had a separate shower room and toilet so it was nice for when three people are staying in one room and all leaving at the same time. It was a bit noisy in the night if you leave the windows open because quite a few cars and people are going up and down the road, but we got used to it. Pretty good location which is a 5 minute walk to the metro/tram station. Would recommend it!
Close to centrum
No fridge. But overall good experience. Room was clean and card scan system installed for room doors
Prague 2018
Good location but the best part is it is away from tourist areas. lots of good restaurants nearby. Close to transit. About as local as a tourist can get.
Basic but good
Basic hotel. Staff are lovely. The two women who do breakfast n clean rooms are hardworking. Breakfast is more than ample. Had a very pleasant stay.
Third time stay and will again
Hotel City Bell offers very rudimentary albeit good and reliable accommodations in an edifice that is a fair representation of typical Prague dwellings. I myself prefer the tony Vinohrady district in which it is located, situated 2 to 3 km from the various sights along the beaten track, precisely because it’s more real. The location obliges guests to make good and full use of the tram and metro system, which are really good. Continental breakfast is nothing special but adequate. In room TV is minuscule and programming nil. These are suitable lodgings for the young and more adventurous traveller who are inclined toward the sense of a place slightly beyond the sights. If I were to return I would stay here again.
More a teen hostel, then a hotel
Have to say that was expecting totally different quality, the price paid is ok with the hotel, however by the experience it is more likely a hostel for teens or very short visitors. I am glad that i stay only for one night. One addition, breakfast revived my memories from High school internat breakfast so its was quite poor.
minimalistic but clean and ok overall
Hotel City Bell was a good hotel, nothing was missing, and nothing was wrong. The entrance of the hotel was rather strange, even if the reception is open all night you have to ring the bell. The TV was ancient but still working.
Nice hotel, public transport into main town
Nice hotel either a tram or a train from the city centre. There are a couple of pubs opposite but noise wasn't a problem. Pillows were low (I like high pillows), but the corner room was very spacious. Some other people in the hotel on different levels (we were on the first floor) said the wifi in their rooms didn't work and needed to go into the corridor or downstairs in the foyer.
Mananger should change his job?
Mananger should change his job? He do not belong in hotel busniss since it is apsolute wrong person for the job? Yung man at night should be working as a manager since has right altitued and right man for the job? Menager should be out of the hotel since is hurting the busniss/hotel with his altitude, apart from thisbreakfast lady was late for the job over 20 min. that is not excetable in any busniss?
Great For Travlers on a budget
The City Bell was a great place to stay whilst in Prague. Good value for money. We booked one of the double rooms which turned out to be huge! Two singles pushed together but I hear that this is pretty much a standard practice in hotels at these prices, it wasnt a problem at all though. The Breakfast was the usual continental style, lots of cold meats, eggs, cheese, bread and yogurt. Good selection of teas, fresh juice and Coffee. The area was quiet at night despite there being two pubs directly outside. A 10-15 min walk and a very quick and efficient ride on the metro got us in and out of the city centre without any hassle. Overall it was it was great and I would reccommed it to anyone wanting to visit Prague.
Grei hotell, grei frokost.
Prima prijs kwaliteit. Goed voor een gezin.
Prima budget verblijf in de stad. We hadden een hele ruime twee kamer gezinsruimte. Prijs kwaliteit is in orde.
Trevliga kvarter
Ett enkelt hotell med väldigt bra läge. Många restauranger och barer i kvarteren runt hotellet.
Sehr gut
The toilet has a terrible smell
Very polite and helpful employees! Public transport (Metro) just few minutes walking. Big rooms. Romms were heated at arrival.
Guest Toilet was to small !
The hotel is in a very nice area, great to explore the city but still fairly quiet for relaxing. Good little restaurants and pubs around the corner. The receptionist was very kind and helpful, accommodated our special requests. Overall a simple place, but good location and friendly staff.
Desayuno excelente.
Mc resa
Ligger centralt men ändå i ett lite lugnare område.
Raňajky dobré na ovocie zabudnite a tiež boli veľmi stiesnené keďže okolo stolov neviete ani prejsť keď tam sedí viac ľudí.
Perfekt för an långweekend. Enkel och stabil frukost.
👎
Our 2 days experience was worse than expected. The rooms and the whole property looked better in the pictures that in reality. The breakfast could be much better. The rooms are too old, not cozy and clean. Even some motels look better than Hotel City Bell. It is not worth 400 euro for 2 nights (but we liked the location).
Excellent for the price
Nice large room and an updated bathroom. Good location and friendly service. The only downside was the breakfast that was average at best.
Price/Quality relationship very good. Very big rooms with nice windows. Perfect hotel to have a nice place to sleep in without being pretentious. As drawbacks I would mention the curtains as they do not cover completely the window and the carpet which should be cleaner.
Spacious rooms, friendly staff and good prices!
I had a very nice stay at Hotel City Bell. The hotel itself has a very nice location, away from the busiest streets, but close enough so thet you can get to anywhere in the city by foot or public transport. There are markets, restaurants and bars within a minute or two of walking. Breakfast was good. Covid-safe, so selection is understandably somewhat limited. The rooms are very spacious. I was actually surprised by how roomy they were (I stayed in two because I extended) given the relatively low price. They are not the most modern-looking ones, but they have a nice bed, decently sized tv, shower, łots of natural light from many windows.. overall good! What I liked most were the staff. They were very friendly and welcoming. There did not appear to be any English speaking TV (news) channels. Wifi jumped in and out a few times, but was mostly ok (they have extenders seemingly all over the place, but not sure if operational). I am guessing you are not going to Prague for wifi or tv, but just fyi if this is very important to you.
Price worthy hotel
Good location, a short walk to both the green and the red metro line and also to trams. Nice area and huge hotel room. The bed was a bit too hard for me but that is standard in CZ. Good bathroom and definitely not too cold. Nice towels. A bit dusty here and there like on the towel rack. Very friendly reception staff. My biggest issue with the room was that the curtains did not close at all, so at night the lights from outside were shining directly in. I solved it with a piece of string, tying the curtains together in the middle each night. I have never encountered that issue before and I think that for privacy reasons as well, it would be good if guests can close the curtains.
loved it. the service was amazing, such helpful people. loved my stay there.
Good place if you need just bed+breakfast!!
Location is nice and closed to s-bahn station(just right the corner). Old fashion room and can't beat the price. The price includes breakfast which is great, they had eggs, sausages, cereal, things to make a sandwich from, tea , coffee, juice, yogurt and same more every day.
Freundliches Personal sehr hilfsbereit.
Store dejlige rum, venlig personale, roligt kvarter, kort afstand til alt.
Highly recommended!
My room was huge, with windows facing quiet streets in a wonderful part of Prague. I slept tremendously well, staff was very friendly and breakfast was good. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel, nice area as well convenient
