The hotel is located right around a public water transportation stop, 10-15 mins walk to St Mark's square, and with many restaurant options. The staff are very warm ad super accommodating. We had an early morning flight to catch. The friendly front desk people made the water taxi reservation for us. When we came to the lobby on that morning, we were pleasantly surprised to receive two breakfast to-go bags! We will highly recommend Hotel Bucintoro to our friends!
Beautiful hotel & staff.
Very helpful friendly staff. Great location near Arsenale and 10 min walk to San Marco square. Arsenale vaporetto stop nearby for trip up Grand Canal.
Great location and really taken care of
We had a fantastic stay. Close to so many things but not feeling too in the crowds. The service is impeccable!
Fantastic. The location was amazing, on the Grand Canal, a five minute walk from Piazzo San Marco. The staff was so warm and helpful. Anthony gave us a wonderful welcome, and Luca and others quickly answered my questions, including those even before we arrived. The breakfast food great, and our room was special, with a spectacular view of Venice. We will stay at the Bucintoro again if we return to Venice.
Christmas stay
We had an amazing stay over Christmas 2024. The hotel location and views (to St Marks Square and the grand canal) are fantastic. Room was compact but the yacht style decor and built in storage made it feel special. Also the service was great and the breakfast buffet had a good selection.
Great service close to tourists attractions
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful as far as good restaurants. Breakfast was excellent. Very clean. Great location.
Enjoyed our stay
A lovely property where the rooms have ceilings which are curved and have wooden beams and fittings. There were beautiful curtains but unfortunately they didn’t cover all of the windows letting in the morning light. The continental breakfast had a large variety of foods and you could help yourself.
Cannot say enough about this place!! Room was cute and the views are amazing!!! The staff is great!! Very close to a Water Taxi station, amazing restaurants and St Mark's Square -- basically it is close to all the major attractions. Love this place and I highly recommend!!!!
This hotel was surely the highlight of our European vacation. The room was superb, the staff so friendly and helpful in any and all ways. They went above and beyond to be helpfuland attentive.
I highly recommend this charming boutique hotel. All rooms face the lagoon and are nicely decorated in a nautical theme. The breakfast buffet was full of delicious meats, cheeses and pastries. The hotel has its own stop for water taxis right next to the hotel. It's quiet, but still convenient to walk to St Mark's Square and other points in Venice. Staff was very helpful in making reservations for water taxis and gondola rides. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent hotel & wonderful staff Especially Murad was the best bellman ever & couldn’t do enough to make our stay easy. Would highly recommend this beautiful hotel for a perfect stay.
Lovely staff and great location!
The Hotel Bucintoro is a must stay location when visiting Venice. The location is like being on a movie set and the staff are helpful and our room which had a view of the ocean was absolutely stunning. Breakfast is beautifully laid out inside the breakfast room and there is the choice of sitting outside if you want the sea view. We highly recommend!
Great hotel. Great location. For a weekend in Venice.
Amazing view
Had the deluxe lagoon view. The view was out of this world!! Really nice breakfast included. Note eggs made to order which is nice
Great views from our clean, quiet room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of choices.
Wonderful stay
Great small hotel with unbeatable views over the lagoon and Venice located only a 5 to 10 minutes walk to Piazza San Marco. This is a good thing since the location is a bit away from the crowds. Service is very friendly and efficient, rooms are very quiet, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. Very close to La Biennale.
The Hotel Bucintoro is located close to the Arsenale vaporetto stop. The staff is dedicated to kind service, breakfast is complete and the rooms are outfitted like a fine yacht. I was very satisfied and will return.
Good location . Friendly staff.
Wonderful hotel & great staff in amazing location!
Wonderful boutique hotel situated in one of the most scenic and peaceful locations in historic Venice! Beautiful rooms and bathrooms with amazing views of the lagoon and canal - wow! Our stay was fantastic and we appreciated the extremely helpful, courteous and kind staff: Stefano, Marco, Luca, Nicolla. The buffet breakfasts were always plentiful and delicious with sooo many tasty items served by the very delightful and kind Antonella. We stayed in two different room types during our 4 night stay. Both types were tip-top lovely, clean, well-appointed, and with awesome views. We have stayed at this hotel in the past and this experience was as wonderful as our previous stay. The location is approx 15 min walk from St Marks Square. There is a very close Vaporetta stop: Arsenale. The hotel is approx 10 min walk from large lovely Venice park: Giardini delle Biennale - so peaceful and scenic. We had a 10-star stay at this lovely hotel with beautiful views, peaceful location and wonderful staff! We hope to return again someday. We thank all of you for your excellent hotel and your excellent customer service. Con sincero apprezzamento e cordiali saluti! Veronica
Great stay, 2nd time at this hotel, nicest staff and very good breakfast. Looking forward to next biennale and will definitely book again
Excellent location and very friendly staff .
Beautiful Hotel with magnificent views. Close to the water bus station
Very good.
Property had some issues with their water pump. No water issues that were affecting guests - but pump caused some noise throughout our stay. Hotel staff were sympathetic and did their best!
Beautiful view from every room. Excellent and very friendly staff. Great location
Lovely hotel in an amazing location! Easy to get to from airport, good breakfast! Lovely staff! Would stay again :)
Stylish but comfortable and cosy hotel with lovely views over the lagoon, very friendly and helpful staff, great location.
I liked the breakfast and staff. I did not like that this hotel’s elevator was not working and we were on the 4th floor. recently had knee surgery and no way but stair to get to our room
Best Bedroom View in Venice!
Wonderful My Best Winter Trip to Venice excellent hotel bedroom view over Bacino Palazzo Ducale la Salute worthy of a Canaletto! Efficient friendly reception, breakfast & room service staff Good Breakfast Fantastic Winter Sunny Blue Skies Days Everyday!
Staff was wonderful and helpful and the location is great with a boat ramp so water taxi dropped us off right at the hotel. Will definitely recommend.
Fantastic views, great staff
Amazing stay. Unforgettable host. Thanks to our host, we were able to have the ultimate experience seeing Murano, Burano and San Marco thanks to his wise advice and navigation. To have a host like this is the desire of every hotel. A gorgeous view; amazing breakfast, and a room designed by someone who knows all of a travelers needs. Everything you need is there in a gorgeous room. The location is very close to the center while being quiet for rest at night. We highly recommend this location to all of our friends. What a pleasure. Definitely will return.
From the setting to the hotel its self it was amazing we had the best 3 night stay and cannot praise it enough, nothing was too much trouble for the staff they were always willing to go above and beyond to make our stray better. it is conveniently situated right near the water bus stop and just outside the busiest areas. the breakfast was delicious and the sorroundings and rooms were really first class.
This is a beautiful hotel located just a couple of blocks from the main waterfront area, easily walkable to all key sites and easily accessed by all water transportation. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff! We had a great lagoon view and the hotel is right next to a waterbus stop, which made carting our luggage to the hotel super easy. The room itself was beautiful and made us feel like we were on a luxury yacht! We were within walking distance to the San Marco Square and the Rialto Bridge and the hotel also had a lovely outdoor seating area where we could relax with a view of the lagoon.
Room with canal view was excellent even when yachts were pier side. Option for inside or outside breakfast. Front Bellhop always looking after guests, very helpful and personable. Everything walkable and close by water taxi location. Only short walk to hotel or private taxi can bring you virtually pier side to front /side door. Nice private sitting area in front of hotel to sit at the end of the day and just watch the sun set with a night cap from thr bar. Gelato and dining footsteps or just short walk away. Room incuded mini bar but was not used.
Our room and was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our door (room 103) was hard to close... you had to slam it. The Staff could be friendly or not depending on who you got. The location is perfect and for that reason alone I'd stay here again... easy to reach via the public boat that goes to both the airport or the train station. Get down to breakfast early and grab an outside table for excellent people watching with your coffee.
Beautiful hotel, impeccable customer relations and clean quiet accomodations.
I received excellent service at the hotel. The room had an outstanding view of Venice and was very comfortable and quiet. I plan to return next year for a longer stay!
Outstanding Customer service, Hotel was beautiful and service was fabulous! We loved the Continental breakfast!
The hotel is located close to ferry dock for easy of travel. Also, it is in the quieter part of Venice with less people traffic. It's waterfront location makes it very scenic when looking out from your hotel room
All around excellent! Very friendly front desk, elevator access, great breakfast buffet. The room was small, but had nice decor and very clean. The location is perfect! On a quieter part of the grand canal but only 10 minute walk from San Marco and other sites. There is a ferry stop close by as well to get to the train station, etc.
Beautiful views and amazing service!
Staff are fantastic, the room had a lagoon view which was wonderful. A great buffet breakfast to start your day with lots of options. A short walk from St Marks Square along the front footpath. In a quieter spot so perfect for your visit and a relax afterwards… bliss
Very nice hotel in a good location.
Great location, the view is spectacular to the grand canal, everywhere walking distance. Staff are friendly, good breakfast. Will definitely return and recommend to family and friends.
Lovely little gem in Venice, within walking distance to all the main spots but slightly quieter and calmer. Hotel staff were great and very friendly. Would defo recommend.
Beautiful hotel in an excellent location on the water.
Super-friendly romantic hotel - all rooms seem to have a sea view
Great Hotel and Staff, we loved it staying there. Excellent location with all nearby, St Marco Square, museums and vaporeto taxi :). Venedig we loved and we’ll come back!
Quaint, clean and extremely friendly staff
Friendly staff, and location
Good location, beautiful views. Terrible breakfast, tiny suites, housekeeping is below standard
A wonderful place to stay in Venice
We had a wonderful holiday in Venice and the Hotel Bucintoro was a fantastic place to stay! We loved everything about it; there was a lovely nautical theme to the bedrooms, everything is extremely clean and well decorated and our room was warm and cosy and the view from the window looking over the lagoon and back towards St Mark's Tower was superb. The bathroom was also lovely with a very good bath and shower. There was lots of choice for breakfast and it the food was delicious. All of the staff that we came into contact with were extremely helpful and friendly. The location is excellent for hopping onto water buses and it is an easy and delightful walk into the centre of Venice. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Bucintoro again and we hope to be back soon!
BRILLIANT
Brilliant. Beautiful wooden panelled rooms, original sailing boat artworks Powerfull shower. Great views. Good lighting. Great breakfasts. Very good people.
Friendly staff
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable. The area was close to St. Marks Square without all the noise. Very convenient with restaurants nearby that catered to locals so not to touristy. The staff spoke good English. I will definitely stay there again when we visit Venice.
Great location
Great location. Friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. Close enough to St Marks and far enough away to be out of the crowds.
Beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff. Located very close to boat shuttle. We had great views from our room. The way I figured out all the rooms should have great veiws.the Hotel was in a great location close to attractions, shopping and restaurants.
My wife and I just finished a two week Italy vacation at the Hotel Bucintoro in Venice. This is an excellent option for staying in Venice. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The room had great views of the Lagoon and while located in a quieter part of Venice, it is still walk-able to all the major attractions, shops, and restaurants. The staff at Hotel Bucintoro was very friendly and helpful in every aspect. Furthermore, the breakfast was extremely good and had a variety of offerings for all tastes. And there's nothing like enjoying a glass of wine on one of their outdoor tables while enjoying the sunset over the lagoon. It is a small boutique hotel with only a limited number of guests which afforded us lots of privacy and quiet. Overall this is a great hotel option.
This property was perfect. Besides the ideal location the thing that stands out is the service. We would stay here again!!!
Beautiful rooms with large marble bathrooms. Well maintained with really good air conditioning. Nice breakfast buffet with great coffee & cappuccino. Lovely attentive staff! Nice strolling & dining close by on Via Ghirabaldi away from tourists and crowds. Pharmacy and grocery nearby too
Fabulous hotel. Room, breakfast, service, staff, location all first class. We can’t wait to stop there again next time we come to Venice.
Loved this beautiful hotel, location, and staff. Very walkable and perfect location, yet quiet enough for a great sleep in our well appointed junior suite with spectacular view.
Bucintoro Hotel Review
Boutique experience; small comfortable rooms; spotlessly clean; friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely stay at wonderful hotel on Venice lagoon!
Excellent hotel situated in awesome location where the Grand Canal and lagoon merge. The hotel staff were fantastic - they were polite and helpful and delightful people! The hotel was immaculately clean. The room was lovely - rich wood paneling and well appointed with very large and comfortable bed, excellent strong a/c, fridge, coffee/tea maker, tv, phone, laptop safe, two large storage closets - one with drawers, marble bathroom with plentiful daily free toiletries, thick towels, comfy slippers, and windows looking out onto truly one of the most gorgeous views in Venice!! A tasty breakfast was available each morning with made-to-order coffees (cappucino was delicious!) One could eat inside or outside at tables under huge umbrellas and overlook the lagoon. We loved our stay at Hotel Bucintoro! Many kind thanks to the hotel manager and to Nicolo, Antonella, & Nicola. Also thank you most kindly for assisting the scheduling of water taxi from the airport. * Thank you dear staff of Hotel Bucintoro, we hope to return again someday! *
The hotel is so unique as was our room. The wood paneling, beams and rounded windows truly make it feel like a yacht. The breakfast was lovely each morning and having my own little coffee pot and separate pot of steamed milk was very special. The staff, especially Stefano and the dining room staff were so helpful with travel plans and ensuring we were taken care of. We could hear no noise from outside or other rooms and the view of the lagoon was amazing. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Wonderful staff but hotel needed extras.
The hotel had a lovely Venetian vibe to it and the room was decorated very well but felt a little small. The staff were very friendly and helpful and incredibly thoughtful. Breakfast left a little to be desired with no hot food option that was available in everywhere else we stayed. We also had a very efficient older lady opening boxes and making a bit of noise during breakfast which could have waited until service was over. Views of the lagoon were beautiful but I don’t think we would stay again.
I was visiting the Biennale which has main exhibition areas at Arsenale and Giardini, so the location of the Hotel Bucintoro is absolutely perfect (located just across a small bridge from the Arsenale vaporetto.) My window overlooked the Grand Canal. It's also not from San Marco but away from the crowds and very quiet. So, how do begin my praise song? First I arrived early in the morning and because my room was ready, I was allowed to check in. I very much appreciated that courtesy. The room itself was wonderfully ordered (the Expedia pictures don't really do the hotel justice.) The bathroom fixtures are well designed. There's a sense of nautical luxury to the place, as if one were on a yacht. The breakfast is quite a treat. A good selection of fresh fruits, charcuterie, breads, delicious coffee and teas. And most importantly the waitperson who manages breakfast is extremely hospitable. Clean, quiet, friendly and comfortable. I travel a fair amount and know a gem when I see it.
The location is very convenient to water taxi and private taxi. The views are amazing and very close to the authentic Venice to the left, Castello and to the right a short walk to Piazza San Marco. The staff were very helpful and beautiful breakfast each morning with outside tables.
Service is what makes this a standout hotel
A great little hotel that delivers big on hospitality and service. Every person we interacted with was amazing, super accommodating and willing to always go above and beyond to meet our needs. We truly enjoyed our stay and the amazing view we had from our room and every morning as we enjoyed our breakfast outside.
A wonderful hotel in Venice - perfect location slightly away from most of the crowds yet walkable distance to everything, intimate, beautifully decorated rooms, gorgeous views, very warm and helpful staff and delicious breakfast. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
Great hotel - very friendly and helpful staff, will stay there again
weekend getaway
Lovely hotel with attentive staff. Covid measures meant that breakfast was a bit slow, but it was a good breakfast and as long as we got there before 9am there was no queue. Comfy bed, well stocked bathroom. The room was a bit small, but as we only needed it for sleeping it wasn't too much of a problem and the view was truly lovely.
A lovely location only 10 minutes walk from St Marks Square. Lots of bars and restaurants in the vicinity. The staff at the hotel were friendly, professional and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a very enjoyable stay.
Perfectly situated, friendly staff with warm welcome and all necessary amenities
Stunning view, 4 openable windows across two walls to give perfect views of San Marco, San Giorgio & more. This was the premier double deluxe room, the most expensive when I booked. One male staff member was very helpful and made us feel welcome. Three men were on reception during the stay at different times. One was friendly, the second less and the third quite rude, no sense of a smile and it seemed like requests for help were an inconvenience. A frustration was, having left the room (with do not disturb sign on), to head next door for an ice cream, a staff member went in and closed all the shutters. The room was serviced and sanitised every day, but we had to ask for more products than those given on the first night. We had a few comical moments with one of the porters who, very Manuel-like, seemed to be trying hard but it wasn’t going well. For example I was waiting for a private water taxi. He assured us he was taking care of it and on the look out. The time of the pickup came and went, so the receptionist called to ask only to find that the boat had been outside for 10 minutes and was about to leave without us. Worse was to come as he picked up my suitcase in a most peculiar way and, but for an intervention from the boat driver would have dropped it in the canal!! To sum up, lovely place to stay. Some staff were exceptional, some were not. Hotel is clean, fairly comfortable, amazing views, nice breakfast. Not a luxury hotel. Despite challenges we would stay again.
Loved the view and location. Staff was super friendly.
Lack of customer service
This has been the worse customer experience from any hotel, we booked on line and somehow the booking defaulted to another date, we noticed it as soon as we paid. We phoned the hotel.com straight away and asked for them to contact the hotel in Venice. Heard nothing back from hotel.com subsequently we called back two times only to be told the hotel wouldnt amend to correct date or cancel or meet us halfway. Whilst i appreciate they have a no cancel policy, most hotels are reasonable and accommodating. What about consumers rights? Has anyone made a mistake before? I am sure they have. This is how hotels take advantage of peoples good earned money. Providers should think carefully of who they represent. I have never known such bad customer service where hotel.com never bothered to called us back, even claiming they did or a 4 star hotel been so lack of empathy to even change the date or help.
Great location- close to everything but far enough away from the thick crowds and noise, a phenomenal view of Venice and its gorgeous sunsets. Hotel itself was very nice, clean, very comfortable bed and pillows, great cappuccino. Staff are very pleasant and attentive.
Best customer service, we felt so good in this facility. They have a really friendly and educated staff that will make you feel welcome. Clean room everything about details. I just loved and my husband much more.
The Location of this Hotel is magnificent with a full view on the Laguna and the the Salute. Also it is 2 min away from a Vaporetti station which hhtakes you more or less everywhere.
The design of vessel for the room decoration. Really love it!
Good location, beautiful room, little bit small but is Venice!, beautiful bathroom and a lot of extras, very good breakfast, staff 5 Stars!!.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff at the hotel were fantastic, friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was a corner room with beautiful views out across the lagoon and was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also nice, a little limited continental but was still fresh and tasty. Won’t hesitate going back again to this hotel.
Third time staying there and would be glad for a fourth.
AMAZING!!!!
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The service from the staff was amazing and they went the extra mile to make sure all my needs were met and had a comfortable stay. This will always be my choice of hotel for all my future trips to Venice!
How the Hotel Bucintoro saved our trip to Venice
We were staying at Hotel Bucintoro during the flooding in Venice. Their power went out because of rising waters. The staff found us another hotel and arranged for water taxis to take us there. All with efficiency, kindness, and generosity of spirit. I can't imagine what it might have been like w/o the staff's professionalism & commitment to our well being. I look forward to staying there again.
Perfect Location away from the tourist area w view
If you want to stay in Venice and away from the San Marco and Rialto busy tourist areas and without being lost to find your hotel, Bucintoro is the perfect choice, just cross the bridge from Arsenale Vaporetti Station. We stayed in the classic room with breath-taking view of the Lagoon and San Marco Square, perfect to watch sunset and sunrise pictures. The hotel staff is very friendly and Castello area is quiet and yet full of surprises with plenty of good dining options locally and just a few minutes walk from Biennale. Highly recommended for couples.
Excellent location on the lagoon with fantastic views. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Absolutely lovely place and staff Right next to water taxi for airport Got free water taxi to Murano Lovely rooms
Rigid staff, beware of booking.
I booked a room Hotel Bucintoro and had a family emergency. I tried canceling over 24 hours from our arrival time. Staff at the Bucintoro refused to refund me. I travel often and have had to cancel on a few occasions and have never experienced a hotel that would be so rigid.
Spotless. Well designed rooms and hallways. Staff was always friendly and very helpful. Good location
Original room we booked for had problem with cold water. So they changed us to a differnet room and gave us a bottle of champagne as an apology which was really sweet. Staffs were really kind and breakfast was beautiful
At night the area is quiet and there are lots of nice restaurants close by.
Excellent Stay!!
Spectacular Hotel, excellent and friendly service. This is now our go-to hotel in Venice. Rina, Angela, Maximo, and Rolan are just a few of the standout staff that made our stay that much better. Walking distance from the major sites and yet far enough away for afternoon naps to be quiet and pleasant with windows open. Staying on the Gran Canal is overrated, not to mention that it can be an assault on your nose. Try this Hotel and spend the extra money for the Jr. Suite. You will not regret it!!!

This is a gem. One of the best small hotels I've ever stayed in. Rooms are beautiful, views are great, breakfast is first class. Location is excellent. Great value
