We were originally booked for 2 nights and extended it to 4. The hotel and Opatija were perfect for taking it easy and enjoying nature. The hotel is everything that the photographs depict. Having breakfast on our private terrace was to die for! The staff is friendly and efficient. One day we rented a car and drove to Motovun in the Istria Peninsula which was very enjoyable. Driving in that area was easy.

Overall a great hotel, nice rooms, restaurant/ bar & all the staff were so pleasant. The views from the rooms are fantastic with a nice private terrace & sea view. The only negative I can give is that the Lido Beach club next door is not part of the hotel anymore & this is not clear. Costs €70 a day for 2 people to use & from our understanding this has changed this year so beware.

Beautiful hotel

The property is great the staff is accomodating and the location is great but the practice of charging twice for a third person is really alarming. I booked this property with my wife and I along with my daughter on our vacation in Croatia. At all other hotels I never heard of such a policy. Even with booking the room with three people, we were charged an extra fee for a third person. I had the reservation with everyone listed but for some reason they placed a roll away bed in our room without asking us or us asking, on this trip we were asked at other hotels explaining there was a fee. My daughter didnt even use it. Upong check out we were charged for this roll away bed, again we didn't ask for it and they didn't ask us. I give positive feedback for the most part but this type of double charging is not normal and bad business practices.

Excellent modernist Boutique hotel and restaurant in the beautiful city of Opatija. Located right on the sea and close to the city centre and many cafes, pathways and beaches. Superb rooms and views

Amazing property

This hotel is amazing, the view is priceless, the Dicor is amazing and the staff is extremely courteous. The area around the hotel is entertaining and very safe. The variety of restaurants either in the hotel or outside the hotel or Fabuloucious. I highly recommend this hotel for individuals who appreciate quality accommodation and high standard service.

For the rather pricey room, they should include parking but we were charged.

A lovely & luxurious weekend getaway

The service was very good, the room as described. I loved the welcome champagne, the massage bathtub with a sea view and the breakfast. It was a lovely weekend getaway, even in stormy November.

This is a very cool boutique hotel with just 10 rooms. We were on the water with a huge balcony. Great waterfall shower.did not take a bath but it was very big and overlooked the water. We had a great view. The bed was very comfortable. You could get use to staying at a place like Thais.

Beautiful location, woeful service

The hotel itself is set in a beautiful location and has been wonderfully built. What let it down unfortunately was the service. It didn’t feel like we were staying in a 5* hotel due to the lack of basic amenities, such as: - the room was only cleaned once a day (no turn down service). I have never experienced this in any 5* hotels I have stayed at. It was frustrating as after a day in the sea or pool, we would come back to the room and shower and dirty the room and use the towels which weren’t then even replaced at a minimum - the sheets weren’t changed on a daily basis - the pool area felt completely detached from the hotel and if we wanted to purchase drinks at the poolside we would not be able to charge to the room so would have to bring our wallet and pay separately; we didn’t mind that the pool was open to external people, we just expected to feel well looked after being hotel guests - the staff at the pool were less than attentive, putting it nicely. We’d have to wait 20 minutes before someone came to serve us. - one morning the pool was completely drained and shut without any forewarning; very unprofessional and meant we couldn’t use the amenities a 5* hotel should have on one day of our stay. It was a lovely hotel and we enjoyed our stay but the above frustrations, which are really easily fixed and should be basic in any good hotel, sadly did really dampen our visit.

Bevanda Hotel, in Opatija, is one of our favored small hotels. From very professional and pleasant welcome to the care they put in every detail of their rooms, restaurant and surroundings this is as good as it gets. For an executive professional that has spent 45 years traveling around the world this is n unexpected pleasure. Higly recommended.

Perfect location - nice sea view - excelkent restaurant

This is a modern hotel along the waterfront promenade in Opatija. It was close to the main sights of the town and also had one of the best restaurants. The view from our room was stunning - we felt like we were at sea because the ocean seemed so close - just lovely. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Everything was absolutely fabulous, quiet, great style with use of all glass...ethetically pleasing...room is beautifully executed and service was was good. My only concern was that I didn’t know how to use the shower right away as it took some time to figure out which way to turn the knobs to get the shower heads on to get thevperfect personal water temperature and the toilet could have a receptacle to put waste in it even though there is a waste bin under the wash basin!... All in all the location is superb right next to the Adriatic Sea and the pool area is exquisite...the design iof the hotel is minimalistic with the use of the glass throughout...excellent!

Hotel lounge and bar is smokers area. Unless you are a smoker, no place to hang out in the hotel, hence fair grade only.

Overall great experience

Everything was great. The only complaint was that we asked for a roll-away to be added to our room. They said they would charge for it and deliver it. It never came. We gave up and went to bed without it. We would have been a lot more comfortable with an additional bed. They removed the charge upon checkout. Also, the bathroom curtain that is to provide privacy is pretty see-through if you have the light on in the bathroom. I think they could improve the type of curtains used if they want to have glass enclosed bathrooms. We were helped with getting our luggage into our car upon departure, which was very nice. I was grateful for that. Breakfast was good as well.

Top shelf in every way...cannot get a better hotel location in Opatija! Hotel staff goes beyond themselves in efficiency and courtesy. When the Prime Minister is having lunch at the hotel with a foreign dignitary, I suspect we fell upon the best.

One of the best hotels we had privilage staying at. Everything was the way you would expect of a fine hotel. Front desk, room and service were perfect.

The room was just perfect: comfortable with Jacuzzi and the beautiful sea view.

Relaxing hotel, lovely restaurant on the water

Loved the pool area with its great views. The bar was excellent and offered many delicious cocktails. The restaurant overlooked the water and served amazing food. Our room was fantastic, overall a wonderful experience.

Everything here is excellent, including good location, every room face directly to sea offering great view with a nice terrace, comfortable and cozy rooms, nice restaurant and bars, fabulous breakfast, helpful staff... the best hotel in my Croatia trip this time!

Effortless luxury on the water

I can't rate this hotel highly enough. I have stayed in many very good hotel but this rates about one of the best ever. While touring around Istria we booked in at the Bevanda for one night as a birthday treat. The hotel is perched on the water's edge and its rooms - all 10 are named after famous visitors to Opatija - have breathtaking views across the Adriatic. We found ourselves in the Gustav Mahler suite with a double spa-bath overlooking the water. Moreover, after an early evening walk along the front we returned to discover deliciously chilled sparkling wine in our room as a birthday gesture (we hadn't disclosed the birthday, but they had spotted it on my partner's passport when we checked in). The staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Dining in the hotel is also a pleasure although the cost probably reflects that quality.

Außergewöhnlich! Direkt am Meer gelegen, Zimmer Service und Ausblick sind jeden Cent wert. Das Personal ist äußerst professionell und freundlich. Der Lungo Mare (Kaiser Franz Jossef Promenade führt vor dem Hotel vorbei.

Modernes Luxushotel mit tollem Frühstück und perfektem Service. Angeschlossen ist ein schönes Restaurant mit spektakulären Meerblick. Frühstück wird a la Varta serviert. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Amazing 180° view of the sea from the room. The room itself is beautiful, huge, silent and comfortable. The staff is really nice and helpful. A few improvements can be made in the following: -breakfast variety is poor (but quality and quantity is excellent: they offer cheese and coldcuts, bread and croissant, yogurt and juice, and then you can choose from a small menu) - the room is well cleaned, but the terrace isn't. Since the terrace is a huge part of the camera, it should be better cleaned - The staff is dog friendly, but the fee of 40 euro per day seems excessive considering it is just for the cleaning (compared with other hotels worldwide) - The hotel desperately needs a sea access (the nearby beach should offer at the very least a discount for hotel guests). Right now it is a 5 star hotel (with consequent prices) without spa, gym or beach...)

Hotel davvero di classe. Stanze fantastiche, con balcone praticamente a picco sul mare e davvero soaziose. Colazione eccellente servita al tavolo sempre con vista mare. Hotel di livello davvero alto con personale molto cortese. Peccato che essendo di dimensioni ridotte e a ridosso del mare non abbia spiaggia e ci sia solo una piscina molto intima che va prenotata, pagando, in anticipo. Comunque hotel dallo charme e dall’atmosfera top !

Sehr schönes kleines Hotel. Zimmer sind toll, mit direkten Blick aus Meer. Besser geht nicht. Frühstück war hervorragend. Lage ist sehr gut. Es ist super ruhig und zentral. Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Nur eine Sache wäre anzumerken. Die Stöpsel an der Whirlwanne und am Waschbecken waren defekt. Es wurde nach Anruf jedoch direkt eine Lösung gefunden. Sollte vielleicht regelmäßiger nach geschaut werden. Ansonsten kann ich dieses Hotel sehr gerne weiter empfehlen.
