Nice place, Johny, who worked the front desk was friendly and accommodating.
The staff were wonderful! The first room we stayed in had a sliding glass door that rattled due to the wind. It was very loud. The second night we stayed in a different room and it was great- much quieter. Very convenient to walking to everything, good price for what you get.
Loved it
This is a fairly modern and well maintained property. Its proximity to the ferry is great, and all restaurants and shopping -- as well as the North Beach itself -- are minutes to walk to. Being on the principal street for vehicle traffic isn't the greatest (noise etc.), but walk one block and you have left all of that behind. We stayed in a street facing room on the first floor our first night and found it too noisy, so we moved to a courtyard facing room and were much happier. I would recommend this hotel to friends. It is very good value.
Excellent room and view staff were great
Issues with door locks, ac and shower.
Was wanting adults only but there were children. Showers were never actually hot and the internet/TV did not work.
Good location! 2mn walk from the ferry. Rooms are spacious so that was great. The only thing is they manipulate the toilet so it won’t waste much water, that was ok when going #1 but struggled for #2, had to flush 3 times 😅
Good location from the main area and port, felt very safe and the room was cleaned and fresh daily
There was NO HOT water in the hotel, the elevator did not work, I asked for a refund for my stay they said yes but would not answer expedia's calls.
This was my second stay and I would definitely come back a third time. I really liked how cold the ac got. I actually had to turn the thermostat up because it was too cold in my room. The location is ideal with it being so close to the ferry, shopping, restaurants and Playa Norte.
Nice view from our room
Only pros about this property is the location and the staff who are friendly. Property is old and needs to be renovated, during my 5 day stay the elevator did not work and there was no hot water in hotel due to a storm which took place a week before my arrival. I was not notified ahead of time.
Great location (3 minutes away from ferry terminal, great beach 10 minutes away, lots of restaurants 7 minutes away) Grest staff Room was spacious and clean Pool (super convenient with kids)
Lovely staff members who did their best to accommodate me, but the property is in really bad condition. Many things simply did not work and ther ewas no hot water during my stay
Location
Sam
The stay was for beside one huge issue at least for me and its the water pressure was bad i can say wasn’t existing along with no hot water to be more specific it wasn’t even warm i had to take very cold showers, i notified the maintenance crew numerous of times nothing was done, One thing i have to say Isabela the young and short receptionist was absolutely amazing friendly and very helpful Anyway my bad experience was the water pressure and no hot water that was big deal
.
Conveniently located
We stayed 5 nights and 6 days. Had no trouble at all. Staff was patient and polite. Highly recommend for family’s. Close to the ferry and food. Playa Mia was just a few minutes away. You can walk or grab a taxi for 100 pesos.
Fun and easy and clean place to stay in the city. super close to ferry
I only stayed one night, so I can’t give a fair review. The staff was friendly and our room was acceptable. Good location and view.
Our stay was excellent and location was extremely convenient
very clean and good location.
Convenient location
We enjoyed the location of the property.
Close to ferry.
Perfectly located
Loved it
Great
We loved staying at this property
Like everyone else said, it’s like a 2 min walk from the ferry, as well as the beach, it’s near CI Banco about 10 mins or less by walk, 20 or less, to Playa Norte, all in all, everything is walkable and in the north touristy part of isla mujeres, it’s one of the affordable stays. A major plus, my entire stay, I did not once worry about the mosquitoes (I only did when they moved me to another hotel due to the storm, in which I was plagued with 4 mosquito bites). On that note, my stay wasn’t as long as I hoped for, I was moved to chac chi, a little more inland/south due to the hotel not being deemed safe for the storm. I like that they were able to accommodate me so quickly to another place. No microwave btw, yes to a fridge, I did not use the pool, double check with them to see if they take visa, because at first I was told yes, then I was told no ??? Anyways, the Wi-Fi is the best out of the 3 hotels I stayed on the island, imo. Rose is super nice, along with the other staff I encountered. I did not use the pool, my shower head was detachable, also if you’re new to Mexico like I was, apparently you’re not supposed to flush the toilet paper u use to wipe — it goes in a separate bin, just an FYI, that’s about it, it’s a get what u pay for kinda place, so don’t expect absolute perfection, but it’s pretty good. U can even see the hotel sign as u enter on the ferry!
Great Location
Beautiful View and Great Hotel!
Room was very clean and comfortable. The view of the bay was absolutely beautiful. There was no microwave in the room but there is a refrigerator and they will heat up your food downstairs if you ask. There were only 2 english speaking channels with really old movies. They give you nice sized beach towels for the beach so that is nice. The hotel is directly off the ferry so that was a real plus. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
ok for one night
The benefit of this hotel is that it is a few minutes from the ferry terminal, lower priced than others nearby, and you're also within a short walk of playa norte and all the restaurants there. The cons: the room is not super well insulated so it is difficult to get the AC to do well. You can see water stains on the walls. The room is very bare, no microwave and not many plug ins. The bathroom mirror and sink looked old and there were a few ants around, probably because the actual bathroom has a vent to the outside (so be sure to keep the door closed so your AC has any impact) and the shower was not good. The handheld shower was the only part that worked well. The shampoo and body wash provided did not seem to be of high quality. This is fine if you're staying for one night but would not recommend a longer stay.
Wonderful hotel! It is a central location, but we enjoyed that. You can walk to everything. Please have breakfast on the top floor and enjoy the view!!! So beautiful! Quick tip: keep your bathroom door shut to keep the room cool.
We enjoyed our stay at Bahia Chac Chi. It was a less than 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal. Conveniently located around shops and restaurants. Playa Norte beach was a less than 10 minute walk which was nice when you want to explore the city on foot. The breakfast on their top floor was surprisingly a nice addition. Reasonable prices too. The hotel was nice enough to accommodate our early arrival and late departure by holding our baggage safely. The bar in the lobby had a great deal on buckets of beer, and the pool was refreshing.
Good price if you just want to sleep. Nothing fancy but it was clean AND I was able to watch Netflix. I chose it bc it was super close to the ferry and the clear boat activity we were scheduled for.
We had an interior room with a tiny deck overlooking the pool. First stay at Bahia after many stays on Isla. We were a little concerned about noise after reading another review. I’m happy to say that with a/c on for background noise, neither of us light sleepers had any problem. We felt it was a very walkable area. Room was clean, staff very courteous and helpful. We both agreed we would definitely go back! Hopefully very soon!
The room and really clean. I wish they had better parking
Overall good! It’s close to the ferry, bars and restaurants and playa Norte.
We arrived before the check in time and our room had been cleaned so we were given access, which was great. The staff were great, very helpful and accommodating. Our room was very clean, and small, but it was plenty of room for 2 people. Our hotel room faced the water, but our view was blocked by a restaurant. Also, there was a main road , which was busy and a little noisy for sleeping. The pool is inside and very small and the wall is cracked so it needs repair work.
Hotel has very easy and convenient access to ferry, walking distance to restaurants , shops and North beach. Things to improve: room where we stayed had very poor shower pressure, mostly hot water was coming out, cold water was barely coming out or not even at all so it was a challenge to shower with the low pressure and very hot water. The shower handle was also a challenge to use as it would get stuck and hard to move. Bed is quite firm but okay, pillows are too thick and kind of hard so that took away from good sleep. First night had to sleep without a pillow, asked to find a softer pillow the second night and it helped. I would get cold at night with the AC on so asked for an extra blanket which front desk staff also readily provided. Room had somewhat of a strange smell. Other than these details that can be improved on I would consider to stay again.
Very attentive staff. Friendly and interactive. Happy hour daily at the bar.
Clean, close to the ferry, nice view of the harbor
This property compared to other hotels that we stayed on Isla It’s more modern and efficient. Very close to the ferry and not too far from centrol where there are restaurants and shopping.
This hotel is convenient to the Ferry and the whole North end of the island. Apparently, you are only allowed 1 complementary 16 oz bottle of water per guest, per day. So if you want to use the coffee pot in your room, forget about drinking water, unless you purchase your own.
Excellent choice for an Isla Mujeres experience!
great value for the price, we were pleasantly surprised with the Hotel's cleanliness and the front desk Manager was very helpful and courteous at all times. Hotels location is convenient to downtown and super close to access the ferry .
The staff was all helpful and very friendly
Convient location. Close ti ferry shopping beach and dining. Kinda bland looking inside for mexico. Could use a splash of color
This hotel is a little gem across from the ferry and secluded enough for peace and quiet away from all the main bars and restaurants. Water is provided but limited to two small bottles a day. The property is very clean and looks like the photos. All the beaches are within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance and there is a 7-Eleven next to it . You can catch a bus to punta sur for 1 dollar . The bus stop is across the street by the ferry . Around the corner is a fantastic cafe called Antal Cafe Holistico . It is also a library with a meditation area . I was solo and walked everywhere. I felt very safe. The only negative for me was that the pool was small and enclosed . The restaurant is indoors and small. So the pool its more for relaxation after a long flight and meditation or to get away from the sun . It depends what you like. If you like safe , clean and pieceful at a good price, this hotel is for you .
Was a plain little spot within walking distance to most places which is exactly what i was looking for.
This property was CLEAN. Very close to everything. Highly recommend.
Overall very happy with the stay at Bahia Chac Chi. Great value! Room was pretty clean (comforter had a stain on it otherwise great). Shower had fancy thing in there but unfortunately the handle was broken and the hard water had the main spray head shooting everywhere. Good water pressure and hot water!
We had stayed here the year before and felt that the overall experience this time was improved. The people at the front desk are were very attentive to our needs.
We had a great time, very friendly staff👍
The hotel is located in a good spot. Just a few blocks from the ferry. It is however right on the main street so it is a bit noisy, which was expected. The shower wasn't very hot. The room was very clean and comfortable and the service was great. We would stay again.
Loved it but street noise at night.
The shower was not working properly. We had to use the hand shower.
Very clean more basic hotel room but exactly what we wanted at very good price
My husband and I tried this hotel. We spent 8 nights here. This was a cute hotel, right in town..great location. Very clean. Nice people. They have a small pool. But it doesn't get any sun, but its good to jump in and cool off. The dining room is on the top floor with a grand view of the Island. They only serve breakfast and it was delicious. I would stay there again. This was our 8th trip to the island. We love it there.
Muy buena locación, buena atención al cliente. Lo único malo mucho ruido en la habitación teníamos junto a nuestra habitación el motor de algo.
Damp rooms
The hotel is located in a very convenient area and is overall pretty nice for the price. The problem for us was that they have a problem with controlling the humidity in the room. All of our clothes were damp and smelled musty, and so did the bed sheets. And the mattress was extremely hard.
Il am still mad- upon checkout i owed around 30 us dollars- they charged me 500 dollars instead of 500 pesos- i an.livid!! Still working with my credit card company-
We stayed 5 nights, everything is in walking distance, both beaches, lots of restaurants and shops. Room was spacious and clean, balcony was lovely.
If you want to stay in a hotel that is very noisy all the time we moved to another hotel outside of the town very expensive trip management at the hotel would not talk to me she had the staff talk to me waste of money if you book this hotel old run down rooms had beds. Never go back to the dump
Great Hotel!!
We have traveled to Isla over 20 times. First time at Bahia. We feel this is now our favorite stay on the island. We will definitely book here next trip.
The pool was out of service for maintenance. Was supposed to be ocean view, but looked onto the street with ocean beyond buildings on the other side of the street. Noisy at night with street traffic.
It is a very nice hotel - however, bear in mind it’s a hotel not resort. For a basic stay - it’s excellent Pro’s - clean, great location, beautiful views, beach towels, beach chairs (for rent), close to center, markets, ferry and restaurants, safes in room, beds were very comfortable Neutral - more towels and washcloths would be nice. Pool area small not a lot of sun access - but you are so close to the beach it shouldn’t matter. Cons - none
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They helped us mirror a football match from our phone to the tv in the bar so we had our very own sports bar. Our team lost:( lol.
Enjoyed the view of the ocean in the morning as
Excellent hotel close to everything…very clean
Close to all the downtown activities, no need to rent a golf cart to get around. Taxis are always close by and very reasonably priced compared to the cost of a golf cart rental from this location. The staff was always friendly and helpful with any of our needs.
Nice and clean.
Great hotel
Great hotel, close to the ferry! Great staff and clean.
Excelente
The room cleaning service was excellent. I would have preferred a room with a balcony toward the water but the room with a pool view was quiet.
Perfectly fine.
This hotel is a hidden gem if you’re looking for something convenient. If you’re looking for luxury, go somewhere else; but if you’re looking for a clean safe place to stay a night or two, it’s great! The sunrises here are top notch!
The rooms are clean, but do show a little wear and tear. We love the location and view of the ferry and the street.
Great location from the Ferry Port. Lots of transportation choices, walking, taxi, golf cart. Building showing some wear, needing a few minor repairs. Property was very clean. Pool was in the shade in October, perfect for cooling down. Staff was very helpful.
Swimming pool
Beautiful
Muy buenas atenciones del personal, la habitación limpia y cómoda ,recomendado
Close to everything
Great location and inexpensive place. So happy we found this place to stay on this amazing island.
The hotel is nice and comfortable. The staff was friendly and good service. I don't like that they close the swimming pool so early (at 6pm).
Electric city blackouts every other day & limited hotel pools hours
I was able with no problem to extend my stay one more day.
We spent over two weeks in this hotel then we had the opportunity to see all very well. The hotel itself is very old and seems that they don’t do an often maintenance. The water pressure in the shower is very poor and they have rusted faucets. We noticed they don’t properly wash the glasses or cups in the room. We found them with coffee residuals or lipstick from previous day. I have to wash them every day just to make sure they are clean. If you want them to fix something in the room for you, you need to ask them several times before it happens. Some of the staff members were friendly and helpful when you ask information about the area, trips, or restaurants.
Centrally located. Clean and friendly staff. I get the Bay view. They also provide beach towel and filtered water. Walking distance from ferry.
The staff was incredible!!
The hotel is clean and basic. Small pool and it is a little noisy at night from the street noise. The staff is great, however, and everything you need is in the room: hair dryer, ironing board, refrigerator, and balcony. Walking distance to North Beach and Centro. Hildalgo is a short walk away as are tons of restaurants and more. I would definitely stay again.
I have stayed at this hotel on 4 other occasions and I was somewhat disappointed with my stay this time. The water pressure was very low, they no longer supply wash cloths and the place was looking a little shabby although I did notice that they did replace the flooring in the pool area. Breakfast was horrible. My omelet was a fried egg with chunks of ham and un melted cheese. I could no teat it and it was not cheap. I may have to find a new home away from home.
Excellent stay. Very clean and helpful staff. Wonderful location as a base in Isla.
The hotel is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from norte beach but we didnt mind walking because it meant it was in a quieter area. Still close to food and shopping. You can rent golf carts next door. The pool was better than i thought it would be, nice size and clean. They give you 2 bottles of water which you can refill downstairs. Theres an elevator in case you're on the top floor. We had a balcony in our room that faced the street where we had coffee every day. The room has a safe also. Water pressure was strong. The gym had like 3 machines. An elliptical, treadmill and one of those cable machines where you can work out every body part. I didn't use it. All in all this had everything i needed and is my go to hotel from now on
Everyone was kind and accommodating
The hotel is close to the ferry terminal. It’s clean, convenient, had everything you need. There were issues with our room at first but Juan, hotel manager, looked after us and all was good. Juan also was able to direct us to great dining spots and was helpful in our scheduling. I recommend this hotel because of its staff
A great, clean, quiet stay at the hotel with everything in walking distance. Great view of the ocean and overall great stay!

Bahia ChaChi rocks it!
Very good place-clean, convenient location, nice, helpful staff. Stayed many times-always good.
