Normal hotel
The hotel is close to main train station and city center, poor breakfast, Expensive rate.
they make me pay taxi I don't know why becouse i believe i I alrady paid when i make booking!!!!@
I used the hotel to freshen up and store my luggage while I took a covid test at the lab down the street. I didn't stay overnight. The train station is also just down the street. The location was very convenient and the staff found someone to walk me down to the train with my luggage.
The pits
The hotel is very shabby. Looks like the management haven't done any redecorating, general maintenance or, indeed, any deep cleaning since it was built in 1988. For example, the silicon around the bath area was peeling away and there was lots of black mould everywhere. The bath appeared not to have been cleaned before my arrival- and much more. All this I could cope with given the price of the hotel, but what made my stay unbearable was the noise from the disco in the basement of the hotel, which began at 11.30pm and carried on until 3.00am. I requested another room , which they did give me. This room was less noisy but not perfect. The staff were generally surly and gave help begrudgingly. I moved to another hotel ( Hotel Akouas) which is literally opposite the Bab Mansour and for only a little more cost it was far superior. I do not recommend Hotel Bab Mansour but I do highly recommend Hotel Akouas. It's such a shame that from the advertising they don't appear to be vastly different but they are ! The internet can be a great leveler - unfortunately.
Good for a night or two on the road
To be honest, the hotel was a little better than I expected, considering it's a 3 star property in a not very important city in Morocco, and also offering a bargain price, but it was nothing too special either. One of the big disappointments was the fact that contrary to the description, there was no breakfast included in the price. The second mismatch was that there were no non-smoking rooms. And how I hate signs of smoking, even marks from forgotten burning cigarettes. Luckily they gave me 5-6 rooms to choose from, and one was looking quite better in that aspect. Apart from these little problems the rooms are spacious, the location is very good - at the edge of the downtown area and about 1.5 km from the Medina (it's even walkable). Cleanliness was OK for a 3-star in Africa, room comfort - as well.
Overall good experience specially Receptionist Hisham was very friendly, after checkout he allowed me back in the room for couple of hours as I had missed my train. Thanks
The dishes wasn't clean at every breakfast. The price was to highe for the very old room and hotel....
This property is in a good location. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The coffee was good in the morning! :) Room for improvement: WiFi is only available in the lobby (not in the rooms, especially the higher up you go). The bathroom (my room was on the 6th floor) needs updating; the layout of the bathroom was not functional. Overall, it was a good place with a good price for a one night stay!
Money talks
You get what you pay for. Cheap price : cheap product. Don’t expect much
Dont
Rooms are TERRIBLE by western standards Sleezy night club too Just don't
Faded jewel
I assume the hotel was the tops when it was built but it has weathered with time. That's why we get to stay there cheaply. That being said, i felt everything was adequate. Rooms were clean, water pressure was great, staff was friendly. AC did not seem to work very well. WiFi was only available in the lobby. The breakfast was typical for Morocco. I would stay here again.
comfortable for the price
Hotel not bad for the price -close to train station - some upgrading necessary - overall a good experience
Elevator was broken. Charged 140dh for having a second person. All the rooms for 2 guests were smoking only so we booked for one which was a king bed by default. Makes no sense but overall good stay great location staff is friendly! Would stay again
Great breakfast
Aside from the great breakfast, the rooms smelled of cigarette smoke and the bathtub didn't drain. Also due to one-way streets, it's hard to get to
Onrustige straat te druk kon niet slapen
Das Hotel ist schon etwas älter, aber sehr sauber und ruhig. Das Hotel weist ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auf.

Nice hotel in Ville Nouvelle close to the train station. They couldn't find my Expedia booking initially which was problematic but eventually found it after about ten minutes. But overall I was very pleased with the hotel and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
