Love everything..

Family run hotel that makes you feel so welcome! Great location to get everywhere on foot, but also right across the bus stop in case you need to go elsewhere. Good breakfast, good wifi. Small comfortable room, but the location service is so great we would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Old fashioned charm, wonderfully helpful staff.

The staff was very sweet, and this was a great location to get everywhere on foot while still being away from the noise of the city, it was a great find and slept comfortably.

Concert was a bonus

The concierge at the front desk was very helpful as this was a first, one night stay in Verona. The city was abuzz with a concert in the arena which everyone said was sold out. The young man looked online, found a few tickets were available and instructed us to go to the arena ticket office. Best night ever. Hotel was top notch quality and central location to walk into town.

Our 3 days stay was very enjoyable & comfortable thank you to Katia for her warm welcome & best service. The Hotel is close to all attractions/places of interest in Verona, transport & very good restaurants. I would highly recommend.

Katia and her brother were great hosts! They were extremely helpful with excellent tips and always happy to help and answer any questions. Location is great, 1 min walk from the bus station (4 stops from train station) and just across from Castelvecchio. 8 min walk to city center, super close to the arena. Not typical hotel, small bathroom, simple breakfast (included) and there’s some cigarette smell in the hallway. However, these are really small inconveniences. I will definitely go back for location, convenience, cleanliness, friendliness, facilities. Great place, excellent hosts!

Great B&B. Good location and walkable to all the sites. Lovely hosts. Easy to get to from the train station (take the 11, 12, or 13 from the Station to Piazza Bra and walk 5 mins). Only tiny issue was spotty wifi in our room, but the wifi in the lobby was fine. If you like opera, book a night at the Arena. Beautiful venue for a show.

Hotel al Castello is now our hotel of choice in Verona. It's an amazingly stylish, convenient, and charming hotel in the heart of the city. It is within steps of restaurants and shops and a 2 minute walk to Piazza Bra (if you take your time). The staff was superb. The coffee was delicious. The place just checked all of the boxes for a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

Adorable Staff

From the warm welcome to the fond farewell, we felt such connection with the very friendly (and always smiling) staff. They were so kind and paid sweet attention to my 90-year-old mother, complimenting how nicely she was dressed and making her feel special. Our room was cleaned to perfection. There is also a very lovely feature; a sitting room with sofas and a nice table for games or snacks upstairs where the rooms are. We used this several times during our stay. The location is perfect for attending an event at the arena; my mum could walk there easily in 10 minutes. The location is also good for shopping. The hotel staff recommended a small restaurant called Arco dei Gavi which is about 20 steps from the hotel, with wonderful food, wine and super-friendly service. I highly recommend the hotel and this restaurant. I will book both again in the future.

Excellent experience! Great location, many shops restaurant 5 mins walk away, 5-10min walk to the main tourist attractions. Our room was spotless, spacious, comfortable, bathroom was modern and clean. We were very well cared for. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great central location, walkable to shops, sights, dining locations. The hosts/hostess were wonderful, helpful and pleasant. Would definitely recommend it.

Very close to most tourist spots. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Bus stop is right infront of it and only about 7 minutes to the train station. Hotel is small but very clean and room is very nice. So many restaurants around it and Castelvechhio is just infront, a good landmark if you are trying to find it.

Great cosy hotel close to main attractions

Stayed here for a few nights and really appreciate its close proximity to the most of the main attractions. It's more or less next door to Castelvecchio so that's very easy to reach. The Verona Arena is just down the road, about a few minutes walk. I've managed to get around the city very easily by foot. It's also located along a quiet street so it's a fairly relaxing stay without too much noise from outside. The staff are very nice and breakfast was good too. There's not too much to choose from but was great as I only intended to have something simple to eat before I head out each day. The room was clean and tidy and also had air conditioning which was really helpful when coming back from a hot day. so in general it was perfect for my stay there.

Great location. The accommodation is small family-owned. The rooms are clean and the owners are really friendly. All the most important tourist destinations can be reached on foot. No possibility of parking, but there is a parking garage about 700 meters away. Breakfast really limited. The hotel is easy to find with GPS, but the entrance can easily be missed.

Mit 2** richtig bewertet. Zentral gelegen, freundliches Personal (Nachportier sprach nur italienisch). Sauberes Zimmer, kleines, aber sauberes Bad. Frisch aufgebackene Croissants beim Frühstück. Guter Kaffee, Cappuccino usw. Sonst keine große Auswahl. Insgesamt ok für eine Nacht nach der Oper.

He estado una semana en este hotel y se que va a ser difícil superar esta experiencia. Lo regentan dos personas amables, cariñosas y muy respetuosas. Me han ayudado con cualquier duda y recomendado dónde ir. La zona es muy céntrica, tranquila y segura. La habitación es amplia, con aire acondicionado silencioso, cama muy cómoda y baño dentro de la habitación. Ofrecen un desayuno muy variado con fruta fresca de la zona. Se puede ir a pie a cualquier zona y disfrutar de la ciudad. Cerca tiene zonas donde comer y cenar de muy buena calidad y a buen precio. A pocos metros tienen transporte público. Sin duda recomiendo este hotel, muchas gracias.

Highly recommended - great location and staff!

I highly recommend Hotel al Castello. The location is amazing; only a couple of minutes walk to Piazza Bra and Arena and 20 min walk from the train station. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming, and they made me feel right at home. The room was small, but nice and very clean. There is the smell of smoking in the hallway, but not in the room, so it didn't bother me much. What matters most to me when I travel is to stay in hotels in good locations, with clean rooms and friendly service. That is why I highly recommend Hotel al Castello and would most definitely stay there again.

Sødt og venligt personale. Dog lugtede der er røg på hele hotellet undtagen på vores værelse. Røglugten var ikke lækker, men ellers fint hotel til prisen. Meget lille værelse, men det ved man jo godt, når man booker det.

Mitä parhaimmalla paikalla, todella hyvä hotelli. Hotellia pitävä pariskunta erittäin ystävällisiä, varsinkin nainen todella avulias. Suosittelen!

Buena ubicación. Tuvimos evento en la arena y quedo muy cómodo. Zona fácil para tomar turibus y caminar a puntos de interés.

Un peu bruyant car proche de via Cavour, mais le staff de l'hôtel étaient supers sympas. Situé entre Castelvecchio et l'Arene romaine, parfait

Die Unterkunft besticht durch ihre exzellente Lage, der Rest ist jedoch sehr dürftig und nicht das Geld wert! Die Matratze war sehr unbequem, im Bad war Schimmel an den Wänden, im Frühstücksbereich stank es nach Zigarettenrauch wobei das Frühstück nicht mal als solches bezeichnet werden konnte. Es gab hartes Brot, tiefgefrorenen Kuchen, die billigste Wurst vom Discounter und generell eine sehr kleine Auswahl bei täglich gleichem Angebot. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen.
