Best value for money
Wonderful Great comfortable room Amazing views, comfy beds and e toilet
Hotel was ok, the rooms smelt a bit strange. Staff were friendly, apart from the person at reception on the first day who incorrectly told me there were no rooms available to extend my booking (I subsequently looked online on the hotel website 5 mins later and found one), and told me parking was free on the road near the hotel - it’s not, and I got a ticket.
Like: Room cleanliness/service, Automatic Bidet, Fresh water and juice daily in the fridge Dislike: A kettle with tea/coffee would have been welcome
Close to Alhambra. Took a taxi to Alhambra 8 euro. Grocery store right next to it
We were disappointed we couldn’t use the garden at 8 am to do yoga
Hotel is in major need of repairs. The AC in the room didn't work, two lights didn't work, the shower head was broken and would flood the bathroom anytime you used it plus the whole hotel is beaten with walls dented and rips in carpet and furniture.
The hotel is old and needs some updates. The carpet on the halls looks dirt and damaged (all the halls and floors), they need to be replaced as soon as possible.
Breakfast awesome. Toilet has problems. Room very clean.
The room was warm and we asked if the temperature can go down. We were told that it's central heating and the only way to put the temperature down is to open a window which was not conducive for sleeping
Property needs renovating.
Very good
This property should not have been rated at 4 star. This hotel is a 2 star. The hotel is old and it's overdue or renovation. The breakfast was horrible. The rooms had bed bug. The Wi-Fi didn't work at all. There was no coffee machine in the room and no iron in the room. The bathroom was small. The furniture in the room was old scratched and cut. I didn't enjoy my stay at this property. Expedia should have inspected this property before marking it as 4 start.. I was very disappointed that I had to leave after the 5th day.
Excellent value,.... good breakfast but plates and some food could be hotter. No fresh milk available for tea or coffee.. just hot diluted milk from coffee machine.
Nice and clean hotel 4 star.
Good hotel, nice pool and bar area, on the whole very nice staff.
no ice machine on the floors. faciliteis a little worn bur very high tech bidets in the rooms
Amenities not open and we were not informed. Room was very outdated and shaby.
Disappointed
The bedrooms seem outdated, the blinds were filthy and the room had a cracked window. Bedrooms were definitely not worth 4 stars. Paid less per night in another 5 * hotel which was definitely worth it. Paying more for a 4 star and outdated bedrooms was very disappointing.
Lo mejor el trato de recepción. El hotel tiene las habitaciones muy deterioradas. Cortinas horribles y muebles en mal estado
This is a convenient hotel for an overnight stay being literally just 2 mins off the motorway.. very large corporate/convention style hotel .. reception staff helpful.. Room a bit dark and jaded could do wit some TLC. We hadn’t prebooked breakfast but decided to have it with the intention of paying for it on checkout like most hotels, but staff on dining room asked me to get up from table to get the money and pay there and then before we ate …a bit embarrassing. Easy commute to city centre with Bus No 8 nearby for E 1.40 per person
We loved this hotel and would choose it again!
The hotel was great! Great room, nice pool, and everything was clean. The front desk was friendly and very helpful. We will definitely choose this hotel the next time we are in town.
Only stayed for 1 night
Nice staff! Breakfast could be better
Great if you want to watch Granada FC
A bit dated hotel, good service and great location, next to the football stadium
Lukewarm at best
Not sure how much one should excuse due to Corona, but this hotel has definetly gone too far. No heating in communal areas, everyone sat with their jackets on in the breakfast area. They don't have a breakfastbuffet, you can just order from the staff - you can't see what you are getting = more spoils, it takes forever, and when you get the food it's lukewarm at best. The rooms were ok, standard, and the staff ok. Very strange was that they did not have english-speaking staff at the front counter - a 4-star hotel!!!???
An ok+ rating
We understand the difficulties for the hotel due to the Coronavirus so we have made some allowance for that. On arrival the receptionist was polite and helpful, the room was clean and a decent size. On looking out of the window the artificial grass terrace was covered in cigarette buts, not very nice to look at. Breakfast was disappointing, the scrambled egg was poor and more like a yellow cream and the sausages were soggy. We also had a problem with the safe which took a few hours to fix as it was a Sunday. The location of the hotel was brilliant, loads of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Close to a motorway junction and near to a tram stop to take you into the city. The outside space looked nice with the swimming pool and bar. During a normal summer I would imagine it to be much more appealing.
Considering that the Covid 19 has had most hotels shut and no amenities this was a satisfying stay. We would be back. Great location to fabulous restaurant and cafes!
good breakfast, nice location. easy parking. convenient.
Great service
Everything was fine, beds are a bit uncomfortable. Service was 110%, staff were very helpful
Nice hotel
Good location getting on ground transportation to Granada. Staff friendly, professional and responsive. Very busy.
There is no electric kettle. Parking was an issue. Though we finally found one. The staff was pretty non helpful
Excellent breakfast. bed could be little more comfortable
Nice but a bit noisy
Clean room and great breakfast, only issue was the noise from the nearby road
Nice hotel but not very customer friendly policies
The staff was not helpful for finding a parking as their packing was full.
Disappointing customer service
Great place expect for the customer service that was lacking when items of a personal nature went missing from my room. Really let the experience of the hotel down. Breakfast was good, great sized room. Was promised a room with a view and was moved when I didn’t get one, great Mountain View if you are fortunate enough to get a room with one.
Decent hotel - need to offer free onsite parking
For the size of the hotel and it’s price, they really should offer free onsite parking.
Disappointing
Very dated hotel. Very worn, bed sheets didn't seem very clean. Extra charge for parking and spa too! Definitely not a four star hotel!
Great stay
Very pleased with the service and general condition of the hotel and pool area. The only downsides were the lack of drawers or shelving for smaller clothing and the sharp wooden corners of the bed which hurt our legs several times. In addition, maps for tourists in different languages would assist. The hotel is a little bit off the track, but there are excellent alternative facilities adjacent
Good for the price
Good generally speaking, but need some maintenance (loose faucet in the sink, or water leaks in the shower).
Excellent hotel with clean facilities.
This is a great hotel. Premises are nice and clean and so is room with upscale bathroom. Staff was great and allowed me to do early checkin. Breakfast is wonderful with many choices and types of food. Parking is also under the hotel and very convenient.
Great Room
Staff very courteous and helpful very clean rooms Granada very bautiful city Enjoyed our stay
Good Value Hotel in good location ineed of a refit
Location is great if skiing in Sierra Nevada as right on the junction. Also Taxis are cheap into the city. The hotel just needs a bit of a refit as it is starting to look tied and the maintenance is slipping.
Perfect location - Great stay as always
Perfect location, especially for driving up to Sierra Nevada - Only 30 minutes drive! Great local tapas at near by bars.
Dirty!
staff wasn't very helpful or accomidating, nothing to eat after 10pm, the carpet was disgustingly dirty all over The hotel, the worst part was when we got to the room to find the sheets on the bed to be soiled with brown spots.. just disgusting! The room also had dents and dirt on the walls. I do not recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel away from tourist areas
Great hotel 30 min walk from centre or 5min taxi. Room was large and comfy but had an odd bo like smell. Pool was smaller than expected but nice to relax around and enough loungers - might struggle in peak season. Will stay again. Near supermarkets and small shops and mall.
Close to Medical Park and University on Granada
The hotel is ok , certainly not spectacular. The room is small and the bathroom is even smaller The toilet has a toilet shower (yes really) and bidet in one which is nice but it is cramped in a very small almost closet like area. Certainly would not want to close the door..Same with the actual shower and tub The shower forces you to step into the tub to turn on the shower which is weird the first couple of times. Overall the bathroom is too small for comfort. I was on a business trip and wanted to iron my shirts. There is no iron/board in any of the rooms and when you call the front desk they will tell you that you will have to use their professional services to get anything ironed. They will charge you for each (!) piece starting around Euro 2.50 for a simple shirt to over Euro 10.00 for jackets and dresses. If you request this after 10 pm add another 50% for after hours charge to that. Roomservice is very limited (choices) and the actual restaurant is closed between 4-8 pm which is common but leaves you with very limited food choices between 4-8 pm. Overall the hotel was ok but it could certainly be improved
The Hotel is excellent and quite
The Hotel is a bit away from the main attractions but nothing that quick ride on a bus or a taxi couldn't take care of. The Hotel is excellent and quite. You can visit the restaurant La Cueva de 1900 around the corner awesome.
Excellent location for driving into Granada
Hotel is outstanding. Parking area takes up two levels below the hotel, ultra secure with tickets and an automatic rolldown gate. Elevators up to the reception and rooms. Get your room and parking ticket first. Rooms are big with working aircon, great pillows and linens, but the bed is slightly firm if that bothers you. Furnishings and bathroom is very modern and in good condition. Shower could have used a scrub and a new curtain, but otherwise excellent condition.
We only stayed 1 night but enjoyed our stay.Only complaint breakfast not of a very high standard most hot food was cold orange juice machine broken and no alternative offered to us non tea or coffee drinkers.Rooms very good but would not want to stay too long due to location.
Great price and location
Great location for a visit to the Alhambra fortress and palaces.
Corporate hotel
A very corporate and soulless hotel mainly ayers for coach parties and local weddings etc Fairly comfortable rooms but no kettle etc Bar uncosy and not a place to linger for the night Hotel is a 15m bus ride from centre town
Modern hotel and easy to find.
We stayed here overnight as we were passing through on our way to Barcelona. The hotel was easy to find and it had an underground carpark which was great. The rooms were large and modern. We did not use the restaurant facilities within the hotel. There are a number of eating places nearby on the street and there is also a supermarket next door.
Nice hotel close to the alhambra
Staff were nice and very helpful. Only negative is the swimming pool being unavailable, apparently all the way till June. Would've been helpful if it had been mentioned on their website or by Expedia
Easy to Find
Hotel spoilt by restaurant which was chaotic with evening buffet service. Service slow taking 15 minutes for a bottle of wine to arrive at our table. Restaurant not suited to A la carte service.
Good value!
This Hotel represents good value for money very easy to access Sierra Nevada and plenty of restaurants to choose from in the Neighborhood.
Good hotel in convenient location
It was easy to find and in good condition. We got room facing internal circle and it was quite enough.
Good option for a budget, but out of town
My wife and I chose this hotel because we could spend two nights in Granada for just over $100. It was also relatively new, which we tend to like. Based on that criteria, it met our needs. A couple other things to mention: - We also chose this hotel because it had a gym. The gym hours were strange, though, something like 10a-2p and then it reopened for a few hours in the late afternoon. That's not very convenient when you want to be exploring Granada in the middle of the day. - It is definitely outside of town. It was a 45 minute walk or a 10 minute taxi (about 10 Euro)/bus ride (1.20 Euro) every time we wanted to go to the city center or back to the hotel. We weren't upset about the location, but it's important for someone booking in the future to know that's part of the deal.
Hotel was lovely, only gripe i have is the tv was all in spanish no option of english subtitles.
a good choice in Granada
In general a good hotel, reasonably priced, modern look... only problem I encountered was that the bedroom wasn´t cleaned after we left for the day, I complained to reception and they sent someone immediately. FYI (if you want the room cleaned, DO NOT leave the Do Not Disturb signed on the door, even if the opposite side of the sign doesnt have DND written on it!!!)
Easy access for Sierra Nevada.
Easy access for Sierra Nevada, could be a bit noisy if your room is facing the motorway. Bathroom a bit small in a standard room. Hotel needs a refreshment on the interiors.
Great price
This is a little outside the beautiful centre of town but fantastic amenities and most the staff very nice.
great place
Everything was great. Great hotel!
Spain road trip
Only stayed 1 night, but had a very relaxing time.
Great and Clean Hotel close to town
We enjoyed our stayed at this hotel as the rooms and lobby were very clean and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very large and is a stopover for bus tours as well as a convention centre. The layout of the circulate lobby could make it noisy if a group of people are talking loudly. There was a bus stop a block away from the hotel which takes you downtown in 15 minutes. There is also a supermarket next door and a great bakery/cafe a block away. If you do not mind staying a few minutes from the downtown area, this is a great hotel for families and I would stay here again if I returned and do recommend it to others.
Very far from Alhambra and bad service
Our booking was for non-smoking room. However, the person at reception gave us keys to a non-smoking room that clearly was a smoking one. Even after complaining couple of times, did not bother to come check out the room. Finally when my throat started hurting at 2 in night, I yelled and got keys to a different room. No one helped change the room even when we had a small kid. The only good thing was breakfast for a couple for Eur 15.
modern hotel and still at good price
we've stayed here many times but it is now just starting to see signs of wear but i can't say that this is a negative as it is still a very nice and modern hotel. the staff are always warm and friendly to us and the breakfast buffet in our opinion is excellent with the service and range of food offered. the hotel is within walking distance of the number 4 bus which we using twice daily into Granada centre, the cost is 1 euro 20 single so much cheaper and less hassle then driving into the city. i would also reccommend the gallician restaurant close the the bus stop, the food and service was very good.
Just bad
Had to wait for half an hour to check in. The staff were not very polite and totally unprofessional. Because of that we missed dinner. Got some thing to eat after a few hours sent to the room, but uneatable. Stay away!
Beautful hotel but away from the central
Very comfortable with good service. clean and nice hotel
Abades Nevada - a true Palace
Excellent stay with staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful room and wonderful bathroom. Only slight niggle was the lack of signage indicating the hotel - we drove past it twice and had to stop and ask directions.....it was behind us!!.
Abades Granada- easy to find
Locate right next to the A-395 this hotel was super easy to find and ideal if coming by car. We managed to park in a free space on the street, just avoid spaces with yellow or blue paint marks. The hotel has parking if not. We left the car at the hotel and got taxis in and out of town which is quite a way but only around 6 euro each way!!! this made life convenient and we didn't need to hang around for the bus or worry about parking in town. The hotel is of a very good standard with comfortable rooms, some with fantastic view of the Sierra Nevada. We originally had one but it was a smoking room and asked to change. Although the hotel was booked out with a massive Japanese tour group we were immediately found another albeit on the inside looking over the roof of the courtyard. This was actually quieter as it did not face the motorway, but as nice as the view was in the 1st room we were only there at night and in the morning when getting up to go out so we did not miss it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming by car and not wanting to take the car into town.
Sierra Nevada Hotel
Other than the shower head in the bathroom, the room was great very close to the Alhambra.
Abades Nevada-What a disaster!
First of all, the Abades claims to be just 5 min. From the Alhambra and the old town-there is no way-by car it is at least 15 min.! The neighborhood around it has nothing to offer. They also advertise free wi-fi-good luck getting it to work in your room! Worst of all, we were there for 5 nights and the final three days the management decided that ot was cooler and turned off the AC for the hotel. Our room was at least 80 degrees-they suggested that we open our window-which of course we had already done-the window would only open about 4" which they said was for safety reasons-and believe me, staying there would make one want to jump! Also, the hotel is right next to a major highway, so the traffic noise was terrible. With the exception of a couple of people, we also found the staff to be very aloof and unconcerned. Also, when we requested an iron and ironing board, we were told that they did not have them for the rooms, but could do the ironing for us at the cost of approximately $5.50 per garment. Had dinner in the hotel once and the food was very industrial! There are too many places to stay in Granada to even consider this one!!!
Roasting Hot Room - No Relief
This is a modern, beautiful hotel, but during my stay in April, the room was very hot. Although the hotel is airconditioned, the system was not turned on because it "was too early in the year". I was told to open a window even though it was quite hot outside. The room quickly filled with choking, acrid smoke from a nearby trash fire. Between cooking in the heat and coughing with the smoke, it was a pretty bad night.
Adequate but definitely not 4 Star
A modern hotel so still in good condition to some extent. However building materials cheap and cheerful so condition probably won't last. In room window blinds falling down, bathroom sink tap not fixed in place, impossible to fix shower head so has to be hand held. Aspires to being a boutique hotel but really not in the same class. However rates were not too high, which should automatically tell you it's not 4 star, but just about OK in terms of value for money. Spa is very good if you're happy to pay the fee. Free wi-fi was a welcome benefit. If you park outside they will charge you even though there is plenty of space and no signs to prohibit parking or advising they will charge.
Modern and Confort
We were quite surprised by this hotel. It's modern and confort. If you're in Granada for tourism, it's around 5 to 10 minutes by taxi to Alhambra, perhaps the best attraction, but not so near to the center, but honestly, city center has too many people, that's another reason I enjoyed this hotel, it's in a calm area.
LOTS OF HIDDEN COSTS!!!
I stayed at this hotel for my honeymoon at the start of July, I picked it because it had a pool and a spa in the hotel. But when we arrived and headed down stair with our towels we were told it was AN EXTRA 20 EUROS PER PERSON PER VISIT!!! I was not told this before I booked it and would of gone somewhere nearer to the center had I known. My Husband tried to speak to the manager about this but she was very rude and just did not care at all. My advise would be DONT STAY HERE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
Hotel ABD
Very good hotel. Enjoyed our stay. Good for parking buses and cafes. Hotel standards very good and it added to our overall enjoyment of Granada. Would recommend and would use again. Rate was reasonable.
Great hotel.
Not very centric but ideal if you go by car.
not impressed
breakfast food cold requested non smoking room put in smoking which smelt of tobacco parking for cars was very poor insufficient space
On arrival, from near Marbella,
On arrival, from near Marbella, we were unable to check in as it is the law to produce everyone's passport in order to stay in a Spanish hotel...a fact unknown to any of us. As we had all left them in our apartments, we had to drive back and get them...160k each way. The hotel also had 3 reservations for 2 rooms for us. I had only booked 2 rooms. That was sorted and we finally checked in with a really nice and helpful young man. The female clerk earlier wasn't the most friendly person that I have encountered. After all the earlier problems, we had a very nice stay and the male clerk managed to get us tickets, for the next morning, to visit Alhambra....well worth the visit.
Unusual and attractive hotel.
Unusual and attractive hotel. on street parking available if you can find some. Good Breakfast. Nice Dining room. AC a little difficult to control. Spa great, a bit pricey unless you ask for a deal but do book ahead as they have huge coach parties which suddenly take all spaces. Taxi into Granada 6€ but dont book through hotel.
Good but not outstanding
The hotel is nice and clean and at a very nice location. Very close to bus stop. Takes about 15 minutes to go the city center by taxi. The hotel staff are not very professional and lack the training to handle international visitors.
Beautiful hotel
This hotel was located away from the city, but local bus service was available. It was a beautiful, clean hotel.
Not impressed.
The hotel is located close to the motorway but it overpriced. The A/C in our room did not work properly and when we asked for an iron, we were told that we could pay for the laundry service but no ron would be provided. Not 4 star service!!
GREAT BUY AND GREAT FOOD NEARBY!
FOR THE PRICE THROUGH HOTELS.COM WELL WORTH IT. BUT THEY NEED TO IMPROVE THEIR ULTRA MODERN BATHROOM SHOWER FLOOR IS FLUSH WITH FLOOR AND CONSTANTLY OVERFLOWED. I CHOOSE THIS HOTEL BECAUSE OF ONE REVIEW I READ ABOUT THE TOUR THEY ARRANGED FOR THE ALHAMBRA. WHILE THE TOUR WAS WONDERFUL THE TRANSPORTATION WAS A DISASTER WHICH LEAD TO A SCENE AT THE DESK ON RETURN! WHICH IN FACT WAS NOT THE HOTELS FAULT. I AM A PARIS TRAINED CHEF AND I FOUND SURROUNDING RESTAURANTS IN WALKING DISTANCE SOME OF THE FINEST I HAVE FOUND IN MY MANY VISITS TO SPAIN. LA MADRAZA AND THE CORNER PASTRY AND CAFE I CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME BUT A 5 MINUTE WALK FROM THE HOTEL.
Nice hotel, just a little out of the way
I booked this hotel because it was a good price for a 4 star hotel in a semi-major city. I only stayed for one night, as it was really just a stop over on my trip back to Lisbon. I was really impressed with the hotel: nice and clean, very spacious rooms (though i was hoping for a better view (as part of the description talks about the fantastic views from the hotel, but i think since I had the "internet special" they had a special highway view for me...lol...the staff were a bit more friendly than typical Spanish, which was nice. There are only two things I would say are problems with the hotel: Location and parking. I had a car, so it was no issue for me to get to the hotel, but once I asked them for a city map, the clerk showed me the hotel location was off the map...he showed the street and said "we are just a little bit past here." The hotel is definitely located outside of the city center. If you want to get into the city, you'll either need to take a taxi or use your car (not that I recommend driving in Granada, it's a nightmare). I talked to a taxi driver, and he said this was the best hotel in the city...brand new and nice, but really, just out of the way. My friend wanted to go to the Alhambra, which she drove the car too...she said from the hotel it was only 10 minutes driving...not bad, but only if you have a car. I would say if you don't have a car, and you stay here, be prepared to take a taxi to get you from the hotel and back. The other problem was parking. The hotel has parking, and it's nice. Underground in a private garage with direct access to the hotel elevator. However it is not free! I couldn't believe it! For one night I payed 10 Euros and a little change. I thought that was incredibly cheap of them for a 4 star hotel. It should be free. I thought maybe it was just because of buying from the internet, but apparently it is not. If I had paid the non-internet price for this hotel, and then was told i needed to pay for parking, heads would be rolling. But even for the deal price I got from online, I am still really irked about having to pay for the parking.
Thumbs up
Great hotel especially if you have a car. Free parking and superb service. Clean and spacious rooms. We had an excellent time there.
We enjoyed our stay
The hotel and our individual room were beautiful. It was a very long walk to the center of the city, but close to the bus stop. Apparently nicer hotels in Europe do not include coffee makers, irons, and alarm clocks. They did provide us with an adapter. The wireless did not work well in our room, but worked in the hall and lobby. The bed was very comfortable. We would stay there again, especially for the price. We were visiting our son who is a student in Granada, so we were too busy to take advantage of the spa.
Servicio a habitación eficiente.
Limpieza no buena
Bañera antigua, astillada, sucia.. Puf de la habitación con manchas.. almohadas finas e incómodas.. No volvería a este hotel..
