Very helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Very convenient for bus transport and walkable to most trails. I would recommend this hostelaria to a friend.
Charming & Helpful
Very charming & atmospheric little property. The restaurant was excellent as was the service. The only negatives are some property design features like low support beams (not good for tall people) & shower where water goes everywhere, plus an odd water pressure problem in our room where the shower flow would randomly stop & was resurrected by turning on the sink tap? The staff were brilliant. Great advice on hikes and tours, then given that we were there in the great COVID19 Sth American travel/border shut down, staff went out of their way to get information to assist panicked travellers sort out their course of action.
Clean, cozy hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff - gave great hiking and dining recommendations. Highly recommend!
We had such a lovely stay at Senderos and would definitely stay again. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, the pastries were some of the best I had experienced from Argentinian hotels!
Nice chalet-hotel Friendly ambiance Good breakfast Comfortable bed Wi-Fi worked only at the reception
Great place to stay
Excellent stay, looked after me providing ice for injury and helped with luggage. Lovely communal lounge and great dinner at the restaurant. Ate 2 nights. Informative reception staff. Highly recommend it.
Best place to stay in Chalten. Wonderful staff. Great restaurant.
Good experience.
Great staff. Poor WiFi, but this seems the norm for the region. Thin walls, but that also seems the norm. Very clean and 30 meters to bus station, a huge plus. Nice included breakfast.
Loved it
Considering the location we had a fabulous time, wifi is super slow but you ll survive
Needs Major Improvement
The receptionists were amazing. However, the breakfast and conditions of the hotel need major improvement.
Great location across street from bus station. The staff is really nice and helpful (with good English). The place has beautiful woodworking and has a warm mountain cabin feeling. We had an excellent meal in the hotel restaurant. The breakfast was the standard Agentina fare but they will make scrambled eggs to order which is nice before a long day on the trail. The one negative is that they request that no toilet paper be flushed in the toilet. We had a very small trash receptacle without a lid which was not ideal.
Cosy hotel with warm, friendly and accommodating staff. The restaurant offers delicious dinners and the lobby boasts comfy couches around a wood fire. Staff were able to provide hiking tips and and advice and the hotel offers packaged lunches and laundry service.
Great spot in a special town.
Terrific hotel in an even better location. Great staff. Highly recommend.
Excellent hotel located next to bus station
Excellent location right next to the main bus station which was perfect for us as we only stayed for 1 night and had an overnight bus to Los Antiguos to catch the following night (which saved us having to carry our luggage very far). Hotel was well decorated, professional and rooms were very clean, warm and showers great. Shampoo/conditioner and soap was provided. Friendly staff helped us with weather forecasts and other information about the various trails from El Chalten, and helped us to store luggage after we had checked out whilst we hiked. Breakfast was good - scrambled eggs on demand, toast with various jams, yoghurt, croissants and cereal were all available. It is about a 10 minute walk to the center of town, and 20 minutes to the North of the town which is the start of the main hiking trails (Laguna Torre and Laguna de Los Tres). Highly recommended.
Good value hotel
The hotel is small, but with a very nice and intimate atmosphere. The rooms are extremely clean and nicely decorated. The only reason I didn't give the an Excellent rating is because both the rooms and the bathrooms are very small. It was quite difficult for me and my husband to move around that room at the same time. Otherwise, we had quite a pleasant stay. The hotel is very easy to find and very centrally located (right at the entrance in El Chalten. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful and they all speak pretty good English (which is a big plus in this part of the world). The restaurant on the premises also serves dinner, which is very tasty.
This hosteria was lovely in every way. From the friendly, informative front desk gal who checked us in to the beautifully appointed hotel and room, it was a great retreat from long days in the mountains hiking. We would definitely stay here again! One small note if you intend to “work” while staying here - WiFi signal was weak but that seemed to be on par with other establishments in town. It’s all part of the charm of El Chalten! Besides, you should be outside instead of on your phone/computer anyways. 😉
Nice hotel, right across the street from the bus station. Not too far from the restaurants in town. About 15 minute walk to the base of most hikes.
We loved it here!
The location was perfect! The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delightful. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Great location - wonderful staff
It was a perfectly located nice cozy hotel with excellent service and attentive staff. Just be aware that the wifi is very weak (if you can get on) - but this is not a function of the hotel as the whole area has limited connectivity. Highly recommended.
Enjoyable stay
Nice little hotel, conveniently located near the bus station. Friendly and helpful staff. Only niggle was noise from the room above.
Beautiful little hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and speak English well. Food basic but wholesome.
Nice and cozy hotel
Had a great stay at Hostreis Senderos. Clean room, friendly staff, warm and cozy atmosphere.
Everything you need in El Chalten
Very good hotel with great atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant food very good though some days a limited menu. Afternoon tea /coffee with cake a bonus.
Cozy place to stay
This is a cozy hotel and great value with a friendly staff. The only issue (which was a major one) was that we had no water for much of the time so a hot shower after a cold day hiking was not an option. Our kids had a huge room and they loved the hotel more than my husband and I did. Our room was considerably smaller, with slanted ceilings and almost no space to move around. The hotel has a nice living room space and dining area where guests could lounge.
Clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Best breakfasts I have had on this 2-week trip in Argentina.
Perfect Location, Great Staff!
This Hosteria was a great place to base our trip to the Fitz Roy. We were warmly welcomed by the staff who made checking in easy and answered all our questions. Great value as they also included breakfast, and an optional afternoon tea. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was clean and pleasant. I only wish we had more time to hang out. The view of the mountains from the "View Room" had a big tower directly in front of it, but still not too bad. Since views from everywhere in town are great, I probably wouldn't pay the extra for a view room in this hotel. , Location was directly across from the bus terminal, so no car or taxi is needed.
Nice little place among so many
What we liked about this hotel was: *breakfasts; *the possibility to order a lunch you can take out when you go for a long trek; *when, returning to the hotel, a nice fire (fireplace) was waiting for us in the living room; *the staff was very pleasant.
Great service!
We stayed at this hosteria for only one night, but it was our favorite accommodation during our 10 day trip. The staff went above and beyond and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. She also told us about local restaurants and gave great recommendations for our hikes. We would stay here 10 times out of 10.
Cozy, little retreat!!
We loved staying at this warm and welcoming hotel! The fireplace is always on in the inviting lounge. The staff was very friendly and gave us some great tips. The free breakfast was lovely! The beds were very comfortable and they use good quality linens.
Cozy hotel next to bus station
Nice, cozy hotel with excellent location and very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent. The only minor complain is the room got hot with heat turned off.
Pleasant, relaxed hotel for hiking enthusiasts
Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Breakfast so-la-la. Biggest problem: most of the time no WIFI, although this was included in this hotel's range of services on offer.
Everything was amazing. Wifi was spotty, but staff and accommodations were fantastic.
Hotel located between two building sides.
Very heavy bed linen.Overheated room.We could hear noises from other rooms bad acoustic.Electrical plugs falling down
Splendid
The entire hotel was splendid. The restaurant inside was delicious. The staff couldn't have been more accommadating. I wish we could've spent our whole vacation there!
Staff make this hotel like home
Opposite bus station, just on the edge of town. You can walk the entire length within less than 10 minutes. Wifi intermittent, unreliable as it is in the whole of El Chalten. Staff are fantastic, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, very helpful and accommodating. Fluent in English. Best restaurant and trail recommendations, even tell you which side of the bus to sit on. Lovely foyer/lounge area where you can hang out with staff and other guests Family friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast - standard Argentinean buffet, with eggs on request. Rooms good size, comfortable, clean - stuffy at night, cannot turn heating down. Some ants. But the hospitality of the staff would make me stay there again. Highly recommend.
The staff was fantastic and extremely helpful with everything from hiking recommendations to restaurant bookings. The room was a bit tired and small. It was on the ground floor and you could hear whenever those above walked around or used stairway. Fortunately, people were pretty quiet and considerate.
Comfortable stay. Good hospitality and nice breakfast. We would stay again..
Perfect Stay in El Chalten
This is a great place to stay in charming Chalten. There are a lot of hotels in town without much charm, but Senderos has plenty to spare. Unique property, friendly service and comfortable rooms. If you need a TV this isn't the place and the WiFi is slow (slow everywhere in Chalten), but your not here to stare at a screen. You've got the worlds most beautiful mountain range literally outside of your window.
Warm and inviting
The photos don't do this hotel justice. From their official website and the photos here, you don't realize what a warm and inviting space this is. From when you enter the front doors from the blustery conditions of El Chalten, you are welcomed into a warm, aromatic environment with very friendly staff. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are nice and clean. My only complaint is that my room was near the stairs leading upstairs, so if you are sensitive to noise, make sure you ask for a room away from the stairwell.
Best option in El Chalten
Not only this hotel is in front of the bus terminal but the decoration is beautiful. The dinning room very elegant and if you compare this hotel to others in the area I give it two tumbs up. Rooms are small but outside is quite windy and a big room is hard to warm up. I don't know when it was built but it looks new. Staff are very professional and helpful.
Lovely hotel in El Chalten
We had a wonderful time in El Chalten, and this hotel was a great place to stay. The town is small enough that you can walk everywhere, including to the hiking trails. But the bus station is right across the street, that is where the ATM is located, and there is a gas station next store so it is as convenient as you can get if you come on the bus, or drive as we did. El Chalten is a rustic town, but Senderos is very nicely furnished and clean and quite modern. Very friendly, nice breakfast, comfortable room with a view of Mt. Fitzroy, it had everything for us. Highly recommended!
Gostamos de tudo
Pousada mto aconchegante e bem localizada. Café da manhã bem variado e staff mto cordial. Camas boas e chuveiro excelentes. Adoramos!
Nice hotel on the edge of town. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room.
