Needs Renovation

The Hotel is little old and it's appliances and carpet looks old, needs renovation. Breakfast is good.

The property lacks maintenance, the microwave oven didn't work and the person in front just said there's another microwave oven downstairs. They have a huge problem with cockroaches and they never take out trash in the rooms, much less replenish or clean the room. Terrible experience.

The staff was friendly. The property is run down. The outdoor furniture is broken and dirty. The worst part was the room while it was spacious and appeared clean there were roaches in the room. When I was checking the mattress for bed bugs I found a HUGE, at least 12 inch, blood stain on the mattress. I ended up leaving early and not using my second night.

Pros.: Very nice and clean. Comfortable bed and all expectations met. Cons: light in kitchen area hums real loud. Probably a simple fix. Broken tile in bath. Need to inspect rooms for damaged and non working items. All in all fantastic stay. Thanks

Enjoyed my stay

The pictures of the rooms are deceiving in terms of the quality of the room. The breakfast was missing simple things like cream cheese for bagels and had two to three items. The lobby, and hallways are 10 times better than the room themselves. $140 for a night is definitely not worth it for this.

Nice stay.

The staff was very helpful in making our stay comfortable. However, the breakfast was left cold despite the fact that it was only 8 am.

The staffs were so effective and their performance was excellent. They attended to our needs on time.

This property is the definition of old. Our room has ants in it. Everything in the room and hallways are old, peeling or worn. We stayed one night and checked out.

Internet is bad. Check out at 11 with charges of extended after 12. Housekeeping every three days.

The customer service was excellent

I have been staying at home wood suites properties for many years and I have noticed on my last few stays that the hotels have become run down, lacking Usual amenities (specifically kitchen amenities) snd are feeling more like a motel than before. This has been my go to chain when looking for a facility that has kitchen amenities but this last stay was the last straw. First, it was impossible to sleep as the temperature in the room was difficult to regulate and it was freezing or scorching hot and musty, no matter what temp you put it on. My entire family got sick from the poor air quality and I’m sure the black substances on the underside of the mattress was mold ( forgot to take a photo). We checked our hours earlier because we could not wait to leave. We tried to get another room but were told they were sold out for a family reunion. The carpet was very dirty and the kitchen lacked the usual items they we’re used to seeing at these proprieties. It was very disappointing. My kids were there for a sporting event and could not perform as planned because they got sick (I’m sure from the air in the room) I was. Extremely disappointed with the stay and if I hadn’t prepaid I would Have left and found another place to stay. This will be my last stay at home woods.

The stay was good but the services that Homewood provided before are not apparent today. Perhaps there is a staff shortage.

It being a pet friendly property, there was no odor of pets. I recommend this place.

The property itself is excellent but Beth made it bad coz she’s not friendly at all or at least have a normal business dealing with us. I won’t book again . But Evelyn made the difference. She’s nice .Also, it would be nicer if you have waffles or pancakes in your breakfast selection .

A++ on Space

We had a King Suite and loved the space in the room! The full size fridge was awesome. I loved that we had a ceiling fan above the bed as well, made it feel more like home.

Overall it was a nice hotel to stay at.

I'm very comfortable with this property in every ramifications, at least this very moment and in my past stays.

The manager was not friendly. I asked for another room and she said because I booked from Expedia she can not change the room.

I liked this property because it was tucked away and not a lot of activity was around it. Also, there were many great restaurants and stores down the street. I would definitely stay there again.

I received the diagnosis of bed bugs since November the 20th and haven't been in serious pain since then and still paying for the consequences of it from this property

Excellent stay. We have already booked our next stay here as well. Our room was a suite with small kitchenette. Also used the grill outside two nights. Vietwich and Raizes were yummy carryouts. Good hot breakfast provided by the hotel. Thanks HIlton!

The cable was not strong. It was going out and in.

The rooms smelled like old wet carpet. Was very disappointed with the bed size, and after we called the front desk, they stated it was a full/queen bed(didn't know that was a thing)although the room was a queen suite. Never had this happened before at other Homewood Suites. Overall it was ok. Definitely won't stay here again.

We love to stay in this hotel, it’s such a convenient location. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are very comfortable.

Water pressure went off, faucets in bathroom faulty, dingy carpet

There was no communication that the water would be cut off at the hotel. We were shocked to wake up and see that there was no water. Front desk also had no idea that it was going to happen. Very annoying to deal with no water. The tub also wasn’t draining well and their was a pond any time you turned on the water. They put a mat down to hide the stains in the tub.

Good Stay

Room was very clean, comfortable furniture and bed was great.

I was not satisfied with my room. My itinerary said that I would have a room with a full kitchen, arrived here and was given a regular room. I was told nothing could be done due to it being booked through you guys. I was Lied to about it being no more rooms available when I went on the actual site and it was a few rooms available. Hopefully something will be done. All I wanted to to was upgrade but was asked did I wanna leave. I’m gonna continue to follow up with this.

The pictures on the internet made the place look much nicer than it actually was. Outdated furniture, old carpet, crack in bathroom ceiling, pretty much nothing on the walls or any decor that would make one feel at home or welcome. There was no breakfast as advertised (unless you want to call the staff dishing out eggs to go a breakfast) and no social hour as advertised. We will not stay here again, and in our mind, we paid too much per night for what we received in return.

Great Stay

It was great! I had some little girls with me so I let them have the bedroom and slept in the pullout mattress. Those mattresses need to updated they are horrible! Other than that everything was wonderful!

We had a wonderful time in the hotel, service was excellent, staff are very helpful specifically Emily and Beth from front desk and Vicente from maintenance and the breakfast team they really try not to make it boring by changing the kind of meat everyday the rooms are huge especially the 2 beds the living and bedrooms are separate and there is a door for the bedroom. The kitchens is equipped with regular size refrigerator , 2 electric stovetop and utensils the hotel is not new but well maintained it is also near restaurants and fast food and its pet friendly

It is a 3 star hotel, no more than that. It had some signs of aging. Exterior vents on the roof were peeling paint. Trim work around doors needed repaint. Kitchens were dated, cabinets old. Texas has lifted its mask ban. I refuse to stay at a Hilton until you change your policy to a "masks optional." I am adult enough to make my own decisions about that after having covid a year ago! Enough is enough.

Clean, comfortable mattress, check in was fast, everything worked as expected.

The room was very nice and we didn't even know they came with a kitchen it was like a mini apartment it was very nice and clean!

Nice stay

Room wasn't bad at all.... only a few opportunities for improvement.... the bathroom tile in room 200 needs to be fixed, I hurt my toe. There was a big pink stain on one of the pillows, and the breakfast wasn't too good. Other than that, a very friendly staff and clean hotel.

How to cope with pandemic trips well

Homewood Suites has discovered the pandemic solution to a successful hotel stay. The rooms were sanitized before we checked in. Everything was clean including the TV remote that was in a clean bag! The breakfast was served hot by one of the employees. A tray is provided in your room. Go downstairs and get your breakfast, which was sausage, potatoes and scrambled eggs. You have a choice of juices. The coffee is available either in your room or in the lobby. You take your food back to your room and eat at the dining table. It works. Even the luggage caddies are disinfected after someone uses them. The only slight con is that the pillows weren't very comfortable. That is no reason to not stay here, though.

Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Everything was fine except the room had tiny bugs. Not sure if it was a spider or ants. We saw one or two crawling on the tables at first, then after several days, they got in our food. We thought about asking to move rooms but decided to leave instead.

Room was sealed to show it had been cleaned. It had everything we needed. Perfect for a bit of a longer stay and just the right distance from houston

Our Stay

Very nice. However staff was scarce and service was a bit slow, but friendly. We did experience 2 nights of sleep interruption due to abundant noise disruptions, assumably from other guests which we had to awake and inconveniently report more than once.

Comfortable and relaxing room

wonderful experience. friendly staff, decent breakfast, super comfy room and bed. only problem was a Covid related confusion re. room cleaning as they were trying to minimize contact - although I had requested the beds made and towels replaced it didn't get done.

Unhappy customer

I made my reservation through hotels.com.Someone named Manuel, whose English is so bad, worked at the front desk. He told me in an angry voice that I didn't have a reservation. I showed him my reservation, but Manuel didn't want to listen to me, and he didn't want to be helpful. I immediately contacted hotels.com and explained the situation. Hotels.com called the hotel to help me, but Manuel wasn't answering the phone. I warned Manuel to answer the phone, but he refused to answer the ringing phone. Then he answered the phone at my insistence. Manuel behaved very aggressively on the phone, despite the hotels official giving Manuel the necessary booking information. Hotels.com faxed my booking information to the hotel.com. Even though I asked Manuel his name, he didn't want to give it to me. Manuel is not a professional person, I'm surprised how he gets a job at a hotel like this. I would like to thank to hotels.com for helping me.

Good but not the best.

We had issues like air conditioner was blowing heat. It was supposedly fixed the next morning. That night it was so cold and we could not adjust temperature. Even in off position it ran full force. Also do not plan on using sofa bed to sleep on. Very old and lots of springs sticking you in the back. Could use some furniture upgrades in living area.

One of the staff was kinda mean. When I got there to check in my room there was a fee I didn’t know about.When I got in my room there was these little white bugs the look like ants but just white they fix the issue though.

I like how the room was neat and clean. Housekeeping was nice too, the staff was friendly, the property was well maintained, it wasn’t loud. My family enjoyed our stay. Nothing I didn’t like while my family was staying here.
