Great spot on the bay, at the quiet end - liked everything about it

Really nice hotel. At the southern end of Cala Millor which seemed to be the quieter end but within easy 5/10 minute walk to the main pedestrian street. The beach was lovely and again less busy near our hotel, away from the main area of Cala Millor. The hotel was great, breakfast choices excellent, pool cold but nice. Our only complaint would be that many things, including the majority of the TV channels were in German. We had been looking forward to learning and practising Spanish! But this is very minor and would return to the hotel again. Also be aware that evening entertainment is outside by the pool and most evenings goes on to 10:30pm or 11pm. It was not a problem for us but the noise may be disruptive if you have young children trying to sleep. The entertainment was generally aimed at the children too.

Excellent Hotel

This is a great hotel. Food is excellent with a great variety of food for all tastes. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Staff are all excellent, so well trained, polite and with a great concept of customer service at the heart of all interactions. The pool area, while a little small, is very clean and well maintained. We particularly enjoyed the aqua gym each day. We had a lovely view of the pool and sea from our balcony. Beds are very comfortable and only complaint was that room was a little small for 2 adults and 1 12 yr old child, with limited storage for clothes etc. Apart from that we had a lovely holiday in this very well managed hotel! Cala Millor is a nice safe resort, with a lovely prom, a beach which is rocky in parts and nice bars, restaurants and shops in town.

Very hot break on the beach

Lovely hotel right on the beach. Hotel was really nice, staff fantastic, couldn't do enough for you. We stayed on the 6th floor with a sea view, stunning! The hotel itself is some way away from bars and restaurants, as we were there during a heatwave it was too hot to explore the resort properly. Breakfast and dinner choices were great and overall a fantastic break

This hotel i would highly recommend to all travelers. We enjoyed so much we extended our trip to enjoy. The parking garage made having a car so easy. The area is lovely and the view from the room is fantastic !! I recommend you get the junior suite with pool or sea view ( worth the reasonable upgrade ). The dinner here in the hotel is very nice and front staff all so wonderful and welcoming !!! Close to airport 7 miles i think it was. Spa is wonderful and plenty of other restaurants along the sea to stroll to if you like . Thanks again !

It's....good

This hotel had a cheap and cheerful vibe to it, with mostly (and I mean everyone except my wife and I) being retirement age and German. The hotel caters to their German guests, with German-language signage and activities. Made us feel a little left out but no big deal. What really drove us crazy was that the hotel charges to use the safe in your room, plus you have to leave a cash deposit with the front desk to use the safe as well as to use pool towels. We've traveled all over the world and have never run into a daily charge for using the safe in our room! The other thing that is not made clear when booking the hotel is that although the hotel is beachfront, you are not provided access to any lounge chairs on the beach, you have to pay a private vendor to use the beach chairs. The buffet was acceptable, no complaints but also no compliments there. Finally, the beds are two single beds pushed together, not a queen or kind sized bed as one would expect from a hotel. All that being said, the view from our room was fantastic and we had a great time overall!

Very good stay, staff very accommodating and hotel is baby friendly.

Have stayed here before as a solo traveler so was impressed to be given a lovely room with a sea view. Most of the guests are German so be aware the hotel is aimed at the Deutche's market! Having said that the food is good in the restaurant and there is plenty of choice! Pity that the weather was poor though but that is Some one else's fault!!!

Staff made us feel included. They were well mannered and friendly. The hotel was excellent and close to the beach.

Great hotel

Really nice hotel in perfect beach location. All staff were so friendly - our room wasn’t ready when we arrived (we arrived earlier than expected) and they gave us a lovely glass of champagne to enjoy while we waited. Most rooms seem to have at least a partial sea view and the beach is just gorgeous. Would definitely stay again.

Good food

Nice clean hotel.Very good food.Hardworking stuff. Just one minor issue with Aircon which was resolved.Everything else was good.

No basic facility for rooms

We were there for a wedding there was only 1 iron in the hotel. No room service No kettle in room to make a cup of tea. Air conditioner would be switched off Fromm 10am to 2pm

This was a short break away Feb 2016, hired car from Palma airport took approx 1 hour to reach hotel very easy to find we had lovely weather and our room at the hotel had a really nice sea view

Nice hotel in a crowded beach town.

Nice hotel, mostly German guests. Some staff struggle in English but all speak Spanish. Good location on the beach, parking is easy to find. Room was nice, but A/C never made room very cool. A/C turns off at 3am every night and the room gets very stuffy. I don't know if this is common in all the hotels but it was a foreign concept to me. The beach at Cala Millor is beautiful but can get crowded. The town is very tourist driven and filled with mediocre stores and food. This isn't the fault of the hotel, but it's worth noting.

Great stay in the Hotel with only complaint being that of very little choice for vegetarian. Hotel is based on German guests but didn't effect the holiday

A new experience

My husband and I have just returned from this classy hotel and cant wait to go back again later in the year. Our room overlooked the beach with sea views to die for. All staff were so lovely and couldn't do enough to make sure you were happy with everything. Food was out of this world with so much to choose from it was like gala night every night of the week. The real gala was on Saturday when we arrived for dinner there was a table in front of the lifts filled with little 'nibbles'and a glass of sherry or a cocktail. Dinner was massive ending in a glass of Champagne, absolutely perfect.

Wonderful winter break

Excellent hotel on edge of resort area near lovely coastal nature reserve.The resort was nice and quiet at this time of year but still had a good selection of cafes open. Great area for walking and cycling. Hotel has small indoor pool and sauna. Hotel offers an amazing buffet at breakfast and dinner with an excellent range of items so not the same every night.Would definitely recommend half board basis. Helpful, pleasant staff.Clean and very comfortable hotel. We plan to visit again next winter.

Hipocampo playa mallorca great

Apart from having no internet or kettle in the rooms, the hotel was great. The hotel was a little old fashioned but the free breakfasts and the entertainment were perfect. The location for the beach and the staff were unbeatable.

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in diesem Hotel. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die unglaublich freundlichen Mitarbeiter und das hervorragende Essen! Wir kommen gerne wieder!!

Es ist langweilig, der strand ist zu steinig, die türe des hotels schliesst um ca 1 Uhr Morgens dan hängt ein zetel ich bin in 10min. da, was nicht der fall war, der pool ist zu klein für das volum der Gäste ect....

Breakfast: Good, not liked the coffee, but was okay. Room View: Nice to the sea. Location: More quiet and less people on the beach, because it's on the end of the beach. Many restaurants nearby (15min walk). Gym: Just one room with one machine - not really a gym. But go to nearby town, there is a good one. Room: FYI every evening events/music at the pool till 10pm.

Wir haben das Hotel das 2. Mal gebucht und sind sehr zufrieden. Die Essensauswahl ist hervorragend-morgens wie abends. Mit dem Sekt am letzten Abend wurden wir vergessen, aber bei der Anzahl an Gästen kann es mal passieren

Muy recomendable

Mi experiencia en general ha sido positiva.. Habitación algo pequeña con olor algo raro e inodoro.estropeado porque tiraba agua todo el rato. Buffet fantástico, personal fabuloso y recepción profesional.

Excelente trato por parte de todo el personal :recepción, camareros, cocineros, limpieza. Buen buffet y las instalaciones muy buenas.

Das Hotel liegt am südlichen Promendenende von Cala Millor. Fußläufig ist das Zentrum von Cala Millor leicht erreichbar. Hotelausstattung und Zimmerkonfiguration sind ausgezeichnet. Frühstück u. Abendessen in Buffetform, qualitativ hochwertig, abwechslungsreich. Servicepersonal mehrsprachig. Machbare Problemlösungen sind gastorientiert.

Es war ein sehr angehnemer Urlaub war alles toll, das einzige das ich am Buffet mehrmals dreckige Teller erwischt habe, aber konnte über das hinausehen, weil alles andere super war.

Die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter war herausragend. Man fühlt sich willkommen. Das Frühstück war gut, große Auswahl. Nicht gut gefallen hat uns die Sauberkeit. Der Boden war nicht sauber, das Zimmer wurde einmal an drei Tagen nicht gereingt. Haare vom Reinigungsspersonal waren im Bad. Das geht sicher besser.

Wunderschöner Urlaub, mit fantastischen Ausblick, freundlichen Personal und leckeren Essen. Zudem eine schöne ruhige Gegend, abseits vom Trubel Cala Millors.

Super Lage direkt am Meer, gute Parkmöglichkeiten rund um das Hotel herum. Das Personal ist superfreundlich und der Ausblick aufs Meer ist wunderschön (Zimmer mit direktem Meerblick).

Wir haben uns sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben gefüllt. Das essen ist wirklich hervorragend; nicht zu toppen, sowie da Personal im Restaurant. Alle im Hotel waren immer sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich Die Lage des Hotels ist fantastisch! Sauberkeit steht hier auch im Vordergrund Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in diesem Hotel und werden bestimmt nochmal kommen

Gutes Essen, schöne Lage,eng bestuhlter Essensraum

Zimmer (fast) alle zumindest vom Balkon mit Meerblick. Hotel liegt direkt an der Fußgängerstrandpromenade. Abendessen sehr gut. Tische werden für alle Malzeiten zugeteilt. Da die Tische lediglich ca. 10 cm auseinanderstehen, ist es für den, der es mag, sehr kommunikativ.

Das gesamte Personal war kompetent, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit die Lage super (Zimmer mit Meerblick), das Essen sehr abwechslungsreich und frisch. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

El hotel necesita una reforma , el agua del spa fría, el baño turco y la sauna no funcionaban . El servicio amable y la comida buena.

Das war nun schon unser dritten Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel und wir sind sehr zufrieden mit dem Zimmer (direkter Meerblick ist einfach toll) und auch mit dem super Essen. Die Auswahl ist riesig und die Atmosphäre ruhig und gediegen. Immer Zimmer gibt es Sitzmöglichkeiten für 2 Personen, Parkplätze sind in der Nähe immer gut zu finden und auch das Internet funktionierte schnell und zuverlässig.

Wir haben bewusst ein Hotel ohne All-Inclusive gesucht und uns für das Hipocampo Playa entschieden. Das Essen war qualitativ auf einem hohen Niveau. das Personal war immer sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Durch die Kinderanimation und den Kinder-Pool kam auch unser zweijähriger Sohn voll auf seine Kosten. Der Strand war sehr gepflegt und durch die Lage etwas außerhalb des Zentrums von Cala Millor war dieser auch nicht überlaufen. Die Lage kann im Allgemeinen als ruhig bezeichnet werden.

Frühstückssaal groß und laut, ist der größe des Hotels und den vielen Gästen geschuldet. Massenabfertigung. Insgesamt für den Preis in der Hauptsaison ist dieses Hotel maximal durchschnitt

Hervoragendes Bufett. Zimmer zweckmässig eingerichtet.

Das Hotel liegt nicht direkt im Stadtzentrum von Cala Millor, doch in wenigen Gehweg-Minuten entlang der Promenade kann man dieses erreichen. Das Hotel ist sauber und das Personal freundlich. Das Zimmer hat alles was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt. Negativ war die Zielgruppe der Hotelgäste selber, da diese zu 80% 50+ war. Des Weiteren waren morgens um 9 Uhr schon fast alle Pool liegen reserviert, aber selten jemand an den Liegen anzutreffen. Das finde ich einfach unmöglich der anderen Hotelgästen gegenüber und obwohl es eine Poolaufsicht gab, wurde hier nix unternommen. Das Frühstücksbüffet war wirklich groß, doch die Abwechslung hat einfach gefehlt. 23€ ohne Getränke für das Abendbuffet.

Wunderbarer Blick aufs Meer. Personal sehr freundlich.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und hat eine super Lage. Personal recht freundlich, allerdings bei unangenehmen Fragen nicht sehr hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer lag im 1. Stock, was leider gar nicht schön war, sondern besonders laut aufgrund der Bar direkt unter uns. Ein anderes Zimmer konnte man uns angeblich nicht geben und der Grund der Lautstärke war denen merkwürdigerweise unbekannt.

Nettes Hotel mit guter Küche, wenn auch die Qualität auf Kosten der Quantität nicht ganz so hoch war. Ein beheizbarer Außenpool wäre sicher auch gut investiertes Geld. Hervorragendes Personal!

Kurzurlaub

Waren 2 Tage im Januar da, das Hotel war eins von wenigen die überhaupt im Januar dort offen sind-schöne Lage direkt am Strand.

Très bon séjour dans ce magnifique hôtel. Juste l'eau du spa un peu fraîche... sinon rien à dire... les buffets sont hyper complets, les chambres ultra insonorisées, le personnel aux petits soins.
