We enjoyed this property while in Tahiti. The pool area is fantastic and the food options are good.
Beautiful hotel and restaurants. Attentive and caring staff. Highly attentive to customer needs.
Nice pool area with view of ocean. Great location to airport, Pier and town for shopping or dinner. Some areas of hotel were looking heavily used, dirty and need of replacement or maintenance.
Overall a very nice overnight convenient to the airport. But I could see staying longer as the pool and the waterfront location and nice grounds made for a wonderful connection to French Polynesia. Did not try the restaurant but patrons seemed to be very happy. Pool bar is exceptional. As expected - some noise from airplanes but did not keep us from sleeping g. Luggage handling and storage was slow and a bit confused - but worked out when I had to be nicely assertive. Phone malfunctioned which was addressed promptly and adequately to make it workable.
Checkin was smooth, room great, staff great. Bar service could be improved.
I loved the pool and the beautiful views. The staff was kind and helpful. The restaurant food at dinner was a weak area, though breakfast was good and I had a nice lunch as well. Our room on the fourth floor was lovely and very comfortable.
The entrance
Gardens and pool areas are quite spectacular. Reception staff very efficient. Service and dinner in Taitea restaurant poor.
So so and not worth the price.
Nothing special about this hotel. Very impersonal we stayed one night prior to an international flight out the next morning. Next time I will stay at the intercontinental.
We enjoyed our stay here after a cruise…everyone was very helpful and we were able to get a late checkout as we had a late flight.
They were understaffed at check in. We checked in twice and both times the lines and the wait were ridiculous. They know when the cruise ships are arriving and should be prepared for it. It took almost an hour to get our luggage and when we inquired about it, we were told they only had 2 porters. They had a rule at the pool that you could only have 2 towels no matter what. You had to sign for them so they knew who had them. I’ve stayed at nicer hotels than this and have never run into this.
Dead bugs with maggots in the clean bed! No bellman/ valet. Horrible in room dining inedible
Absolutely beautiful hotel and the staff were fabulous. Beautiful big pool.
Beautiful property for evening before catching flight back to mainland.
5 mins to the airport, incredible bed and views
Incredibly comfortable bed, blackout curtains, great food and very friendly staff, right on the water. The team accommodated and helped me organise a very early checkout at 1am for a 3am flight, helped with booking a taxi for me and everything was hassle free. I actually changed hotels from an apartment rental up the road as it’s at sea level and is accessible. The whole island you need a car or taxi to get around in so would definitely recommend. My only complaint would be not having a proper coffee machine and milk or cream. The instant coffee just takes a point off. Other than that it would have been 10/10. 5 mins to the airport.
It was a beautiful setting. We were disappointed with the quality of food…did not feel it was up to Hilton standards and given the isolation of the area, there were not many other options. Bar service was sporadic…one time amazing service and another times, terrible.
Very poor breakfast!!!!
Concierge services lacking.
Our room and service was great. We were disappointed with the concierge. She was very friendly, but not helpful in offering local tours. One day she didn’t show up and there was no one else to help us.
This property is gorgeous! The lobby and pool area are photo worthy and grand. The hotel had Polynesian singers by the outdoor bar that perfectly complimented the location and made the experience truly memorable.
Martine at the front desk ..she was superb and so sweet!!!
Lovely hotel. Just no beach but the pool is so spectacular it doesn’t matter . Staff is great. Rooms great .
We asked for help with bags on departure and booked a taxi the day before we left and neither turned up. Lots of guests departing at the same time and it felt very disorganised . Check in was also very slow.
Excellent hotel. New hotel, nice rooms lovely pool
Food in all restaurants was horrible and very expensive. Especially at La Strada, San and other restaurants at the Hilton in Tahiti was expensive and bad. Unless food is improved and prices are kept reasonable, we will never go to Tahiti and stay at the Hilton even if as a member of the Hilton Honors.
Wonderful stay, great pool, nice bartenders, and clean room!
Great facilities and friendly staff
We have come here multiple times. Love the island and this location has it all. Great spot into the bay, good snorkeling right out your door, decent food and great people.
Very beautiful
Beautiful hotel! but.....
Beautiful hotel! We upgraded to a suite, so comfortable and chic. Unfortunately, the remote control in the primary room didn't work and the shower had black mold on the wall. Kind of strange for such an expensive suite.
Stayed at Intercontinental first and then Hilton. Paid more at Intercontinental and got less. Hilton has tv stations in English, over rooms, much better good for less money. Looks more updated and a more ambiance and vibe was great.
Close taxi trip to the airport and ferry terminal. Mall across the road to get food from the supermarket. The room didn’t have any extras like a usual 5 star however it was kept very clean each day. The pool was nice to swim in. The buffet and restaurants were good. Delicious steak when we ordered room service. You can walk into town however there is not much to do there. Great place to stay for convenience however quite pricey compared to other hotels we have stayed at on holiday that had better facilities when converted to NZD. Good service overall however.
It’s unfortunate that we have to waste a day on the way to and on the way from bora bora but the scam makes us have to spend $450 a night each way typical government overreach I’m thinking.
The hotel appears to be overpriced, considering the amenities and services provided. It functions primarily as a transit location, which leads to a noisy and less inviting atmosphere. Very slow check-in and check-out processes; staff that seem overwhelmed and disengaged. For a more pleasant experience, it may be worth exploring other hotels on the island that offer better value and a more welcoming environment.
Beautiful Hotel but SLOW Service
Beautiful hotel with a nice modern indoor mall nextdoor. The rooms were large, clean, updated and the AC worked perfectly. Every room had a beautiful view of the ocean. There is no beach but the pool is very large with a helpful swim up bar. The walk to town is just over 1mile and not the nicest path. But...the meal service was soooo slow. At every restaurant the wait staff was non attentive and things took forever to come out. Restaurant service is weak. Overall the beauty of the hotel and wonderful rooms make up for the poor restaurant service - we'd recommend
The pool area is very pretty and there’s a great view. Beautiful property
Bugs infested insects, wet floor. They used Dirty mobs to pop the floor. one room for $542. Which was ridiculous and we couldn’t not even sleep in it. My daughters were crying the whole time because of insects. Horrible experience
The customer service here was excellent but overall, this is just a large business hotel and it could be anywhere in the world. There was nothing unique. Semi convenient to the downtown and to the airport. I would only stay here if I was trying to get in and out of town.
Very nice hotel
Hotel looks newly revamped. Clean and quiet
Good stay.
Wonderful hotel, lovely staff, brilliant location just across from a mall with French supermarket, pharmacy etc. Beautiful pool with views across the ocean to Moorea. We hope to stay here again.
Very good location in Papeete, close to airport. Carrefour across the street was great for shopping and some dining. Hotel was very accessible by car. Driving in Papeete is a bit hectic, which is beyond the control of the hotel. Dining at the hotel was very good, but overpriced. Pool was nice. They had live music most evenings which was very good quality. Staff was great. I did my best with my rusty French. Most everybody spoke English well enough so communication was very good. TV could stand one or two more channels and English language movies. I would definitely use this hotel again.
Excellent hotel, pool is great, clean rooms. Can’t believe they have a pot to boil water and instant coffee!!! This is way too cheap for such a hotel.
Fantastic location. Excellent facilities. Close to everything in Papeete. Service in the restaurant could be quicker.
The common areas, pool and rooms were pristine!! The staff is very welcoming, accommodating and friendly! The pool and view from the pool and mist common areas, is gorgeous and looks at Moorea!
We stayed here one night on our way from Bora Bora back to the U.S. We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel lobby was gorgeous, our room recently renovated and had a nice balcony overlooking the pool area. We also had a phenomenal dinner at their Asian restaurant.
The housekeeping staff are amazing! The hotel is coveniently close the market which made it easy to walk to.
Me and my girls loved the Hilton when I come back I’ll stay there again.
service
We stay at lots of properties in Tahiti and this is beautiful, very clean, friendly, and calm feeling with the most beautiful pool in Fr Polynesia. Good food. A bit pricier than others but worth every extra XPF!!! Will be back for our 3rd stay very soon. Thank you!!!
Great room, convenient to ferry terminals
Hilton Honors Members - your benefits are not offered when booking through third-party apps. I booked through this site and bought Ocean View looked at a balcony wall if sitting down, no upgrade for Honors Gold. It was only a nights but I wasn't aware. For the hotel it is the best hotel close to the airport. The restaurant is over the water and the food was good. Room comfortable its a 3 star hotel.
Staff are courteous, efficient, and helpful.
Great place to stay before going on a cruise!
Beautiful hotel!
Good
Loved the huge pool and watching the planes come and go. Noise was NOT an issue. Loved the sound proof rooms, food, pool bar service..
A fantastic experience- they were used to late arrivals and the view from our balcony was stunning. Staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast buffet was exceptional and worth the expense!
Everything about our room was excellent. Attention to some details need to be looked into. The ice machine on our floor did not work for the duration of our stay which was 3 nights and unfortunately on day 2 coming back from town and heading to our room water had leaked all over the floor that we didn’t see and I slipped and badly bruised my arm. These are basic things to put an ice machine away from common walking areas
Excellent property with updated rooms and very comfortable beds. Awesome pool as well as live performance we enjoyed there as well.
Wonderful Sunday brunch overlooking a very active reef. So many fish to enjoy during our meal!
Great place to stay, relax and unwind. love it.
Great would stay again
The resort is exquisite with the largest swimming pool I have ever been in. There are several restaurants on the premises serving tasty food - but breakfast is not included. The hotel is not far from Pape’ete. The hotel only suggests taxi service although public transportation is also available. The accommodations were most comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.
Pretty pool and view. Nice for a short stay on the way to Bora Bora. We felt the food was good but limited options and keep in mind you will pay at least $150/day on food and drinks. Nothing is included here. Rooms were decent but not 5 star and not as clean as I would expect for what we paid. There is a mall across the street with a good bakery and grocery store. We saved a lot of money on breakfast by going there. The breakfast buffet is $50 USD per person at this resort. Overall we were satisfied but manage your expectations.
Hotel is beautiful with nice bar but restaurant is too expensive specially for there guests. Staff are very nice and helpful
After coming from the Sofitel we were a bit unimpressed by hilton
Nice pool
Do not stay here. The service here is horrible. I stayed here for my honeymoon and have so many complaints about this hotel. It’s too long to write. Just take my advice and look for another property to stay at
A couple things to consider when booking that did not influence my score but can be helpful when picking a hotel in French Polynesia. There is no ocean access or outdoor Jacuzzi at this location. As for the review, I don't like to give 2 stars but I couldn't give 3 and his is my reasoning. There is no structure at this hotel. Food is overpriced for the quality. Luckily there is a shopping mall across the street. Rooms are very standard for the price. They are not cleaned the best. They must be running low on toliet paper as they didn't even refill our toilet paper when we were nearly out. Normally there is a hotel activity list. I asked and the staff said they used to have a TV with the infomation on it. I stayed 5 days and I didn't have one person ask me if I wanted a drink or food at the pool. You have to stop them and ask. The staff doesn't know what amenities they have either. One front desk person made me laugh when she said she didnt know there was a shower at the gym and they must have added it while she was on vacation. Shade umbrellas at the pool are completely in tatters. Please see images attached. The bar and pool area have different music playing which is weird when you are sitting at the pool because you hear both at the same time and feel like you are at an outdoor concert with multiple stages. No kid areas or adult areas at the pool, so there is not an area where you can relax if you do not have kids.
Hotel is fine with a nice pool. Do not book through Expedia if you have Diamond status with Hilton. The hotel will not offer the usual status perks.
all staffs are friendly. there is a shopping mall right cross the street. good location and nice view.
Loved the property and its amenities and staff. The only knock I have on the entire place is that you cannot get in the water. The pool, yes....the ocean, no. They said it was due to being on a small boat access, but having seen it, it would be relatively easy to put up floating buoys as a barrier to not swim beyond. If you choose to go beyond, you are at your own risk. Such beautiful fish, coral and sea life but to not be able to experience it made me not ever wanting to go back to this location.
Newer property, nice rooms and pool.
Easy to get to
Great staff that helped me locate the right medical center to treat a foot injury that I sustained. Another staff member proactively ensured I could extend my stay due to a flight cancellation.
Good stay
Room was comfortable and clean. However, there were no amenities, not even a shower cap in the bathroom. Front desk staff quality was mixed. Some were friendly, helpful, and seemed to care about us as customers, while others were rude and not helpful at all. The covered walkway to the shopping area across the street was very convenient
Pool was excellent
A beautiful hotel
We enjoyed a lovely 4 night stay at the Hilton. It is a beautiful clean modern hotel with various areas to sit and enjoy a drink and take in the stunning sunsets. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed with gorgeous views of the ocean from our terrace. As others have mentioned, there is no beach at this hotel, but we enjoyed the beautiful pool. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our only issue was the challenge in ordering breakfast with room service. The telephone connection was not always clear. However, the front desk staff were able to process our orders. would recommend getting the breakfast package when booking. We didn’t do this, so it was much more costly to add in the breakfast buffet on site. We tried all the restaurants on site. The food was fine but quite expensive! The hotel is conveniently located between the airport and ferry terminal, so it was easy to catch a ferry for our stay in Moorea. There is a shopping mall located right across the street and is accessible by a skybridge. It has a large grocery store if you want to buy snacks. However, everything opens very early in the area and closes earlier than we had expected. We also rented a car and drove around the island. It was very easy to drive there. The Tahiti Museum is a worthwhile visit to learn about the local history and the history of all South Pacific Islands. It is another beautiful modern space located next to a warm white sandy beach. All in all, we

This is a beautiful property, but located near some non desirable places. The service was very good and the people very nice. The hotel rooms were not as nice as I thought they would be, but my biggest complaint is the lack of menu options for food. I ended up stuffed in the hotel for a week as I got sick. I was VERY tired of the room service menu.
It has a giant pool
Location and amenities are all great! Shopping mall within a short walk across a safe breezeway.
Great stop, A+
Great one night stay prior to flying out of Papeete. We were upgraded to a spectacularly nice one bedroom corner suite with windows and balconies on all sides. Room facilities were great. The multiple restaurant choices were nice and food from the pool bar was good. Yes like many reviews the pool bar service was slow (or, you have to be aggressive) but i felt it was fair - it’s a busy pool bar and a very busy hotel). The service was otherwise great. Great pool, lack of beach is a bummer but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Ultimately recommend for a stop-off on a larger trip - wouldn’t do a lengthy trip solely here based on the location and lack of beach (not hotels fault)
The quiet place with a beautiful polo to enjoy the sun of Tahiti.
Great remodeled property with good restaurants and a covered walkway over to the mall shopping center next door.
Everyone at the propertty was kind curteous and friendly. There's a shopping mall connected to the hotel which is very convenient and getting a taxi isneasy of needed. The food at the restaurants is good and the pool has mulitple relaxing spaces.
Had to stay overnight as we missed our ferry to Morea. Hotel was just OK for one night
Great stay, recommend for short stays
Great stay, good location with mall next door. Parking is limited, but fine. Great food at this place, we went back for the food even after checking out. Overall a great stay, and the pool is amazing.
Great experience, as always. Top notch establishment.
Beautiful and amazing hotel, service outstanding.
The best place to be in Tahiti. amazing hotel
Great hotel with resort like feel in the middle of the city. Staff are very friendly. Connected to a shopping mall. Near the ferry. Close to other restaurants and stores.
Place to stay in Papeete. Save the money and stay here over the run down intercontinental.
I had no idea how fancy this hotel was. It was amazing and the pool is great. Kids loved it. Very convenient to the airport. Rooms very updated and beds were extremely comfortable. Highly recommend this resort. Great value.
Nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. Great pool.
Great hotel and location
Excellent stay at the Hilton and of course expect that overall, for the price! The property and location are good and convenient as well. Room and dining areas were well placed, and the food was very good. Would stay again and recommend.
Amazing view
Hilton Hotel Tahiti | Home in Faaa | Travala.com
There were a large number of people checking in after getting off a cruise and the staff worked very hard to process guests as quickly as possible. The room they had originally given to us was too far away from the central lobby for my husband who has mobility issues and they were very happy to accommodate changing the room for us. The room was clean and very comfortable and appointed with typical hotel room amenities - nothing special. We found the only place to go that had air conditioning was our room - no public areas, bars or restaurants. The pool, while absolutely beautiful, was far too warm and not at all refreshing after a long hot day. There was no access to ocean for swimming despite being oceanfront property. The pool loungers were dirty and need to be refreshed. The same with the bar and restaurant chairs. Perhaps because they were off white material, the stains and dirt were more obvious. We found the service at the bar and restaurants very friendly, but clearly on island time as we often had to wait an inordinate amount of time for service. We also found the prices to be quite expensive for only mediocre meals and drinks. Overall, I’m not sure we would choose to stay here again.
