The room is big and clean! The customer service is good and they have an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet for $290 yuan!

The staff was extremely helpful with all of our needs. Services offered were all great.

Well maintained hotel

Language barrier and repetitive breakfast

Overall stay was not bad, food get you after few days due to limited variety and repetition. Language barrier is the big thing at the hotel as the staff at check in desk bearly understand english so it makes it really frustrating. We had to use phone translation app to be able to get a point across to the receptionist.

Amazing service

Without a doubt, Olina, Business Manager, made the difference. Since we arrived she offered sodas to compensate for our short delay at registering. When we needed to collect our laundry from a nearby laundrymat, she sent a driver to do so. Food is very good, not excellent selection, but good quality. Rooms are good enough. I would definitely return.

Hilton was always impressed me. Nice hotel quite near to Baiyun airport (20mins by cab) and not far from town. Very comfortable spacious room with big king size bed. If can provide thicker pillow choice will be lovely. ( I have requested but still thin pillow to me)

It was unbelievable that absence of shampoo / bathing soap would occur in a 5-star hotel. The use of the slow robot delivering these amenities further jeapordized its credits when no apology was made after all the careless mistakes and delay in delivery.

Very spacious Lobby, and spa centre, big swimming pool, nice Jacuzzi, The room service is a robot, it can deliver you whatever you need to the room by calling the lift, and calling your room in order to tell that he is on the door with your order.

Not service-oriented

The staff that attended to me during checkout was horrendous! She was not smiling the whole time, and I have to ask her to void the authorization credit slip in front of me after she said,“That’s it, you can go.” She thought she’s some immigration officer! Totally not service-oriented.

Love the cooperation of the reception staffs. On our request, They allowed us to check in by 9.30am. We appreciate their consideration.

Average hotel experience.

The good: Safe, quiet, clean and family-friendly area. Decent sized room. Spacious bathroom with fairly strong water pressure. Swimming facilities are great e.g heated 25m pool and a hot tub. Supermarket and many restaurants can be found in a mall 5 minutes away. Metro station is 10-15 mins away by walking. The bad: Wifi connection and speed is not something to write home about. Mattress is a bit too soft for my liking. Didn't make me feel I was staying in a globally reputable hotel chain.

Hotel fine, internet speed lacking

The hotel and staff were great. The wireless internet speed was very slow. Even when connecting directly to Chinese sites within China, the speed was quite slow at times. I used ExpressVPN to connect to some other sites (Google, for example) and it worked fine, but slow. If all you need to do is check email, then it's acceptable. If you need to upload and download large files, use high bandwidth websites, video streaming, etc. the internet speed is simply too slow. Breakfast was good. Business lounge was good for free drinks from 6-8pm and food (if you're not too picky you could eat your whole dinner here). Local area is OK if you walk over to the Wanda mall. Subway is a bit too far away. Especially so if it's raining. If need to sit for hours in the hotel or the business lounge working from a computer, you will probably be uncomfortable. It's very rare to find proper ergonomic setup in a hotel in China.

Check in before 3only, didn't even bother to check if there's a room available and if they can accommodate me earlier but didn't fail to mention that check out should be before 12noon...asked to pay for half day to be able to check in before 3pm....not my first Hilton and never have I ever seen a hotel not accommodating earlier check in than what they advertise....worst possible experience

Nice one

The hotel was very nice, clean and up scale. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Loved the chocolate croissant. There is 2 close malls, 5 and 10 minutes walk max. Walmart is just 5 minutes walk.

My first choice when attending the Canton Fair. This hotel has everything you need. Very helpful staff.

We stayed in this hotel from April 22-April 25 during the Canton Fair. I was skeptical at first because it has lower review rating in Expedia, but I don't have time to choose for other hotels so I just booked this. When we got to the hotel. My husband and I were surprised how amazing, clean and beautiful it is!! The room is spacious (posting photos together with this review). The room is clean and room service's excellent. The staff are all courteous, friendly and they are top notch when it comes to service. Their executive lounge is a must to get when you book this hotel because it's nice and quite. Food is good and they have afternoon tea, also cocktail drinks that ends at 8:00PM. The food in this hotel is good that after every long day at the fair, we just either order room service or eat in their buffet. Our experience in this hotel is really good and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to go to Guangzhou. The Wanda plaza which is a decent mall is also near this property. We will definitely be back.

Nice hotel but next to a construction are ( I couldn’t hear it from my room) . Facilities are showing a little wear and tear.

Amazing staff, beautiful hotel

Fabulous customer service from the outset. It was our 18th yr anniversary and the Hilton gave us a bottle of wine, fruit basket, swans (made from towels) on the bed and petals in the bath tub. Always greeted with a smile at front desk, and gave us free breakfast when they made a small mistake with our booking. Cindy was really lovely and gave my daughter and daughter on the way Hilton teddy bears. I highly recommend the hotel. Its stunning and great location for shops, restaurants etc. Definitely staying at more Hilton hotels from now onwards! Many thanks to Cindy and her team for making our trip a memorable one.

My overall experience with the hotel was good. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast that was purchased as an add-on with the booking was good and had a nice selection. I was somewhat surprised with the high daily rate given the state of the room. It was clean but there was some obvious wear and tear and the room smelled a bit musty. It would have been nice it there was also more offered in they way of perks in the room for the price. All the offerings had a price attached to them.

Nice Hotel in a quiet area of Guangzhou

This is my third stay in this hotel, it has a very good breakfast buffet, Western and Oriental food all the time, the shuttle service to the Canton Fair works pretty well, staff is friendly but as in many places in China very few speak english. The rooms need urgently to be refurbished, in three cosecutive years I could see how furniture, walls, ceilings, headboards and blinds got worn out. Find pictures attached.

Holiday in Guangzhou

The hotel is nice with the most facilities and services it provides. It can be approved much and have more customers if the prices for the food, laundry services and SPA be reduced. I am saying that according to my chat with some customers about why they don't stay some of their time in the hotel? Most answers was because of the high prices comparing with other same modern hotels.

Great stay in Canton

Great service, a lot of the staff spoke english thing that in China seems to be a treat. The room was great, and full of amenities. The Gym also was great and the pool when not crowded was a great plance to do some laps. Food was good and they offered several western and chinese options.

Luxury room, need to improve breakfast

The room is amazing, very luxury bathroom. All the facility of the room is amazing. Staff are very nice. But the breakfast is too simple, there were not so many good options. The location is not so downtown and a bit far from Metro station too.

Quiet surrounding and top quality room

I moved over from another hotel in the city area to find somewhere quieter in Guangzhou to stay, so indeed this hotel is in a quieter surrounding. There's only 1 mall around 5 minute walk away, which is by Wanda Group. All the labels in the mall is of either branded of of higher priced. There's Walmart in there, so you can get your water/bites when you need it. Although I find the front desk service a little cold during check-in, its nothing to complain about because it is nothing new nowadays from 5-star hotels anywhere, unless you are a VIP-President Suite-type guest. Overall it was a fantastic stay. The king size bed is by far is the best I've ever slept on and befits Hilton's prestige. The room decor and space is good for a couple and the bathtub is big and spacious for an evening dip. Although I've heard how far Baiyun is from city centre in Guangzhou, this hotel is actually at the fringe of other districts like Tianhe etc. Cab ride is 20-25 minutes away from Taigu Wharf, Shangxiajiu Road and Beijing Road, so to me, it is very convenient. I enjoyed my 3 nights there and would love to return for something quiet in the future.

Everything good but the food. Some advertised buffet at good price, but when you get the bill 40% more expensive. They said was promotions by Wechat chinese APP. Think Hilton is not a cheap and new hotel chain to play like this. The sea food buffet mediocre and tasteless. Drinks also bad. Took a mojito, no alcohol and far away from a quality drink

Terrible services!

So disappointed! No door/bell men at the door upon your arrival, need to carry your own bags to the counter and up to your room (?). Terrible services. Reserved a king bed, but got the twin beds. Food is so so, not really impress. I meant it was a lot of foods, but not good quality as a fours half (?) stars hotel. Although, the decor is beautiful. The good part, it's convenience to lots of other wholesale places nearby, walking distance to metro station. Wanda Plaza is next to it. Xingfa and Yifa Centers are also within walking distance. Extremely slow free internet, unless you want to pay for a high speed one. Couldn't open any pages (google, facebook.....). Which was a surprise to me as comparing it to many other four stars hotels in Guangzhou for the same amount. You can get this terrible services and same internet problem at Dong Fang hotel for 1/3 of the price. Not sure I'll come back, unless I have no other choices. Perhaps, I'm so use to other hotel services.

A sanctuary in a busy city

Great hotel. close to shops and local restaurants. That said, no need to leave to hotel for good food of various diverse backgrounds. Decent coffee. Walking distance from the metro - the best way to get around in Guangzhou.

Nice hotel but far away from 5 star property. Free shuttle to Canton Fair everyday twice a day mornings and evenings 1 hr distance trip. Breakfast is ok. I booked king size room so they put together two twins bed.

Worth Every Penny

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel during Autumn Canton Fair 2015, and was really reluctant to pay the inflated cost during this period. My first night, I arrive just before midnight as planned, which made it a little more painful to pay the bloated cost for this night, but my gosh, the staff was so great and the room so comfortable, I didn't care once I arrived. The facility was great, the staff 5+ stars, the room really comfortable for those with higher-than-middle familiarity. After checkout, I factored in the shuttle service to/from the Fair, the above average buffet dinner in which I entertained 3 clients, and the superb staff (i.e., English-speaking and attentive) and came away thinking I scored quite the deal compared to other colleagues. Added bonus was that I made it to my departing gate almost exactly 1 hour from the time I left the hotel. In other words, not only a perfect medium between Canton Fair and the airport, but a pleasant surprise for everything else in between!

Excellent stay

It was an awesome stay with very beautifully furnished rooms. I wish the wifi was could be better though, it could be a China-network thing though.

Good property - no atmosphere or entertainment

This is a nice hotel with good facilities and food. Baiyun is a little out the way so there is nothing to do except leave. Webber the Food and Service Manager helped me find something to do with my down time in the evenings which was great but there is no one to talk too and nothing to do...

Don't stay here ever!

Very few staff members spoke English, at an international hotel. The staff didn't seem to know how to dea with simple things Ike check ins and check outs. There was only one restaurant operational, but it was filled with Mosquitos and the staff was extremely rude, and very reluctant to actually do what they were supposed to, I.e. wait on tables. Food typically took 40 minutes to an hour to arrive, even when there weren't other patrons in the restaurant. In some cases, when only 2 tables had guests on them, the check for one of the tables took over 20 minutes to arrive. I wouldn't even say this hotel's service classified it as a one star. It would get a negative one star.

Canton Fair stay

Loved the hotel - very comfortable, clean, and relaxing. If you are a business traveler, highly recommend their executive package that includes breakfast, use of the executive lounge, wifi, etc. Breakfast buffet is outstanding! Service is top notch. My only complaints: Wifi is not always fast & reliable. Service is better in the executive lounge vs some of the rooms.

Great room and bed plus good breakfast on all 4 days. I would go back again next year. Only niggle was the hot water early evenings was not as good as it should of been for a 5 star hotel.

Bad room service meals

Room service horrible. Meat was tough, rice was dry, verged on inedible. Chicken had died of old age. Rooms and service ok. Located in relatively new development, not an especially interesing environment.

Hotel location is not close to subway, shuttle bus to and from subway is recommended

HORROR show

Wow I dont even know where to begin with this, however ill make it short and sweet "AVOID THIS PLACE" at all cost! Slow service, staff is very pushy and cant read or see a lit up DO NOT DISTURB sign, not customer friendly and the hotel is super expensive. Staff needs to be gutted out and or retrained, this is honestly the worst hotel, motel, B+B, hostel I have ever stayed at and there is not a number below 1 on this or they would of received this from me! I have never seen a more poorly managed hotel in all of my travels and I would not recommend this place even to my enemy.

Atrocious Service

The staff was rude and uncommunicative. I was shocked by the number of basic mistakes made from check-in all the way through check out. I was checked into the wrong room type, room service was sent to the wrong place, towels were removed but not replaced, and at the end they tried to charge an extra cleaning fee for no apparent reason. I told them I would contest the charge with AMEX. I wouldn't stay again.

Not very far from Canton exhibition, but due to traffic, it takes about an hour to get there. Good location, close to a mall with some options of restaurants. A little bit expensive, probably because of the exhibition.
