Packing is not fair I was paying to stay in the hotel and i had to pay for parking every day The hotel i rate a 10 But on the parking situation i rated it a 1
All was great
Over all the hotel is nice but the front desk employee (2 female) seems to be very rude and un-friendly. It wasn't that busy in front desk but still felt like they are not interested to listen or help the guest.
Great spot and walkable to all city spots. Very clean rooms.
Very very busy and noisy at night
It was a clean and spacious hotel room. The bed was comfy. It was extremely cold in Philly that weekend, 7 degrees faranheit that felt like in the negatives. And I was so grateful that our room was always warm, being able to change the thermostat to your liking was great. We loved being in walking distance from all the historical sights and right next to the Reading Terminal Market, we got food and beer from there so many times. I also loved that we were close to Love Park and Chinatown! Such an amazing place to stay.
A bit dated
The property is dated and needs an upgrade. It was good for a quick overnight stay.
Cleanliness
For one night my family and I stayed. It was horrible. The smell of weed being smoke, and the dirtiness of the room. I even asked to switch rooms thinking it was because of one, no the second room was just as dirty. And then upon leaving we were charged a pet fee! Seriously? The pet fee needs to be taken away due to the fact we were only in the room from 11:30-9:00 because I couldn’t get out of the room fast enough. The floors looked like they haven’t been vacuumed in weeks. One of the grosses hotels my family and I stayed at.
The hotel is nice to look at, but once you relax inside the room the quality isn't at the standard. Bed sheets don't fit the bed, so when you turn over a night, they come off so easily. The TV and phone didn't work to report the bedding issue. Internet was slower than 4G. It all sounds picky, but I've stayed in cheaper motels that are better than this Hilton.
convenient
it’s in the heart of the city convenient
Great stay clean comfortable room
Great location
Great.
I was not happy with the room they assigned me. Bad service.
no convienent parking
parking was ridiculous- there was no courtesy for hotel guests at any parking locations. There should be an accommodation. There was only a thin raggedy blanket on the bed.
Location was great
WiFi and TV we're basically out for most of our stay which was inconvenient.
Love the ease of check in and the security during the night.
Great!!
Super friendly employees and greeters, everything was so smooth. will definitely think about staying here again in the future!!
Great size room, very clean, & helpful staff!
Property must improve cleanliness overall. The hotel is also outdated. Staff needs to enforce non smoking policy. There was weed smell everywhere. Location, however, is good, near Chinatown and many historic landmarks.
I stay at the Hilton whenever I can because it fulfills all the requirements of a restful night.
I was worried about how the trip would be with 2 kids under 5, myself, and spouse; but overall, the whole stay was very enjoyable. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly. The area was close to everything I needed within a 15 min walking radius. Chinatown, parks, Christmas town, historic sites. I had an amazing stay and would definitely book again.
The location is good convenient to everything, other than that the price is too high. We stayed in Marriott last year and loved it much more.
Nice dining area. Staff was welcoming and professional. Badly designed shower. No recycling.
Excellent staff and nice amenities. Location is ok - not one of Philly’s charming areas. No recycling bins - please recycle!
We loved being next to the Reading Terminal Market.
Parking situation overshadowed my stay.
The room was clen and I enjoyed my stay except for one thing: my partners parking. She lost her ticket and was charged nearly double the rate and I thought that was excessive.
Excellent
It was a very rewarding and enjoyable experience and I would do it again really soon
I have started here before and I will stay there again. It is super convenient and has all the amenities I need.
Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was extremely helpful. We would book again.
Perfect location for Center City tourism
Great stay! Walkable to lots of great places. Highly recommend
Everything was great
So convenient! Next to the Jefferson Station SEPTA service that made getting to and from the Airport so easy. Also next to Reading Terminal Market. Will stay here again!
Property is in good shape; seems recently renovated. Wasn’t impressed by $20 buffet breakfast… just a couple dishes of scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes.
Everything was good
Good value
This property was very good value for money. It was clean, staff was friendly and helpful and it was in a convenient t location. Our only issue would be with the sheets. Fitteds were too small for the beds so they popped off the corners causing them to shift around and become somewhat uncomfortable.
Not sure what cleaning products they use for the shower but that combined with the sliding door that was rusted, I took a huge tumble when trying to close it. Aside from that, enjoyed my stay. Easy to doordash, close to reading terminal, and in walking distance from my office as I was there for work. Extremely loud in the hallway through the door when trying to sleep but that was a patron issue, nothing of the hotel. Easy to uber to and from airport
Perfect stay
This central city hotel is a perfect choice for visiting all the historic sites of Philly. Many sites are within walking distance. Hotel had easy check in and friendly courteous service. Room was spacious, spotless and very up-to-date.
Staff is awesome! The location of the hotel is in a great area where you can walk around.
Below Hilton standards
Not Hilton standards. Sign in elevator says " If you need anything we will help . But this is NOT TRUE. Room is so dark with very dim bulbs that its like being in a dark spooky bat cave. Front desk would not help. I could not work or get an job related work done it was SO DARK! Next seems like all front desk staff never got a Hilton class on how to speak to guests of a Hilton. They were unfriendly and gruff. HOWEVER the wait staff in the restaurant were all very polite and welcoming. The only really good things is the location to convention center.
We reserved a junior suite with 2 queen beds. The hotel refused to give us the room we reserved nor would they give us a comparable room.
What a wonderful hotel with a fantastic location....
Worth the stay
Great experience. Staff was kind and more than accommodating. Extra shout out to Johnny D. in the restaurant. He was awesome.
Water is not free and no free parking or voucher is offered. The gym area needed cleaning and sanitation, one of the machines were out of order. Also not cleaned and no mats or weights, felt it was the most basic and minimum. Found the bf vouchers redundant and inefficient. Should be easy to just report the room you’re in.
Good hotel near Reading Market
The hotel is located in a very good location for access to public transportation. I would definitely stay there in the future
I like that it was central to the center city amenities.
Visiting the city
My stay was great. I came in later than expected. I was checked in my a nice gentleman. The next morning we went to breakfast and everything tasted great. While in and out of the hotel, all staff greeted us and were in a cheerful mood. My stay was pleasant.
Go book somewhere else
The hotel room was generally clean except there were many issues with the room itself. The room light switch was broken, toilet was not cleaned properly, sink water barely trickles out. Also, when I inquired at the front desk in the morning about breakfast being included, the first response I received was "You should know". Talk about hospitality. Honestly, pretty disappointed for a Hilton hotel. Parking is $40 overnight and it's frigid getting to the elevators from parking. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else when in Philly. Hit up the Sofitel or Canopy by Hilton instead.
Friendly staff, fantastic location
everything was great!
Upon check in, identified several issues. Lock malfunction on door, left over food in fridge, stickiness and stains on fridge door, malfunctioning toilet, and no linens available in room for sofa bed. However, issues were corrected shortly after each item was reported, No formal apology for state of room.
Great Stay in Philly
Great stay in Philly. Excellent location downtown on edge of Chinatown
???
Mediocre, at best.
Price was reasonable, but the upkeep was less thelan average. The room was dusty, the shampoo and conditioner bottles innthe shower were gunky, and the ice machine was absolutely atrocious. Pieces were broken and it looked like it was covered in mold and mildew. Pluses, it was quiet and the parking garage was right next door...but be prepared to pay $40 for anything over 12hrs, and do not leave once your car is in there or you need tonpay again.
Excellent Center City Hotel
This is a nice hotel that my family has stayed at for three years in a row for our Thanksgiving visit. The hotel is clean, safe and located in a very convenient location. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant at the top of the hotel is nice.
Great location. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room heating system was bit loud. Other than that, we enjoyed the stay.
No good night sleep. The very stiff, scratchy hard sheets were the most uncomfortable. It caused a flare up of my skin condition and would not return. Dirty sock in a cubby by the ironing boards. Bobby pin on floor.
Easy convenient parking and close to market
We will be going back to this location again. Its very convenient to all the center city locations. Parking garage is attached to the hotel and convention center. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars all around is because it is in center city Philly. They can't clean up everything.
Location wise, this hotel is perfect: right next to Jefferson Station (direct train to/from the airport), as well as the Reading Terminal Market (fantastic food). Most attractions are walking distance. The hotel restaurant is great as well and the staff were really friendly.
I like the deal i got on expedia and the friendly staff. This place was better than marriott. Imo At least it gad a microwave. The only thing i did not like was on night restaurany staff clised 15 min early. That as unfair to me especially since they did not have room service
Love that it’s next to Reading Station
Great staff , room quiet
Here for the Philadelphia Marathon Comfortable
Very nice!
A great place to stay, close by everything you want to see in Philadelphia.
Solid
Clean, quiet, centrally located
The entire staff was very responsive to our requests Great location convenient to regional rail, dining and convention center.
Very nicely clean
Great service & location
Sooo we liked the staff when we checked in but we never saw them again unless some people were hounding us about hotel points every time we came in or left. Nobody came to clean our room one time so our room smelled horrible by day 3 and we had to ask someone in the hallway for towels because nobody took care of us. I’d say, for the price we paid, you could find a place that cleans your room. Just my opinion though
Good location! Clean rooms and friendly atmosphere
Visit home
Excellent stay! Great staff in 10th floor grill.
I tried calling the front desk before checking in to inquire about parking. They would not answer the phone and were just standing around taking to each other when I checked in. They didn’t answer the phone until I walked up to the front desk, after about 10 minutes of ringing. I also thought my reservation included breakfast. Apparently, it did not. And the walls were pretty thin. I heard my neighbors talking loudly into the wee hours.
Heard People All Night Long Talking
The walls are very thin and you can hear anybody and everybody in the hallways.
I’m jrjtk
Volveríamos a repetir, cómodo , limpio y céntrico
Hotel was excellent
Loved the property there is an elevator connected to the hotel which leads to the garage where you can park. There is a fee a night for parking
The hotel was great, just avoid the Crown Chicken fried chicken joint a block away - the food is not fresh and may have a big impact on your tummy!
Good hotel for the price. Great location, very easy to see all that Philly has to offer by walking.
Stay somewhere else
EVERY night, and I mean every night or very early morning during our stay, there was a fire alarm. NO information was provided to us as to whether we needed to evacuate or not. So this went on for the 4 nights we were there. The last night, I couldn’t sleep at all thinking “this might be real and I’m going to burn to death in this subpar hotel.”
My room was so dirty: stains on the pillows, stains on the walls and sheets. The fire alarm went off 3 times last night with concerning information being shared over the intercom with no resolve. I had to continuously call the front desk to get information on what was happening.
Nice hotel. Clogged sink not repaired during stay. No room service over weekend.
The hotel was overbooked and we didn’t receive our room!!! Nobody had a curtesy to call us and give us the news. Hi we lost your room but you can have this one in this hotel” I guess it would be too thoughtful. An awful experience. Horrible neighborhood, no parking. Will never ever go back there, not sure if I want to see any of Hilton garden in either.
We were awaken early 5amish to an emergency and happened to be a false fire alarm, someone smoking they said…there was a lot of smoking in Philly, that’s one thing difficult to tolerate
Parking is not with the hotel they work alongside with a parking deck. The cost is $40 overnight but you cannot go in and out. Front desk was helpful and the location was great. Bathrooms were very small.
Communication with housekeeping was difficult. They did not understand that we were leaving the room and assumed we were leaving the hotel. So our room was not cleaned.
Right next to reading terminal market!
Very convenient to Reading Market. Very quick drive to most tourist spots in the area. Staff at front counter were helpful and accommodating.
great stay. loved being close to everything for a great price.
Nice hotel
Everyone was very friendly! Would definitely stay again!
Great stay
Great hotel & staff. Perfect location to visit center city Philly and only a short subway ride to the sports stadiums
Average stay. If location is your priority, this hotel is well-situated. However, comfort was lacking, and luxury is not a word I would associate with this property. The service, regrettably, reflected the typical customer service experience often found in Philadelphia. Staff responses were curt, and it seemed as though asking a simple question was a bother to them. While none of this can be directly attributed to the Hilton brand, it is unfortunate that the overall customer service standards in Philadelphia have declined. As a native of the city, it's disappointing, especially as I had hoped to share the highlights of my childhood from the 80s and 90s with my daughter.
Spacious rooms but to big for solo traveller, ideal for family. However, living room area very dark as no windows. Bedroom had a nice large window with street and some skyline view
Michael Taylor was very helpful in getting me a room during the busy period. Thank you
Plan for parking expenses! A major chain can and should negotiate a contract with surrounding parking lots to offer their guests reasonable/ affordable daily rates. Or perhaps partner up with the city to offer options. Asking guests to pay $44 dollars per night for parking is unwise. That money can easily be spent in the many local retail and services offered with the perimeter of this property (I.e. convention center). With that said, I enjoyed my stay. And, I really enjoyed experiencing Philly downtown. I hope to visit Philly again (hopefully, I will have reasonable parking rate options in the near future).
