Best hotel I have ever stayed. Staff was super super nice, everything was clean and comfortable.
This is not a 5 star resort. Nothing about it from staff training, unfriendly doormen, food service. Not worth the money. Hotel is misrepresented. I moved 0.7 miles to Copacabana Belmond. Night and day difference. Advertised as Same hotel class as Hilton, not even close
The place is very old. The furniture is old and the sheets have blood on them. The only upside of the place is the staff.
This Hilton is a diamond among other Hilton properties which I feel have really sunk. The people are LOADS ahead of other hilton properties and I look forward to returning there. The only thing I would do is redesign the rooftop pool and reorganize the lounge chairs to accommodate more chairs in a circular design. People really hog these chairs which are in high demand.
Hotel es bueno, excelente ubicación, la piscina y rooftop son pequeños en espacio
The security people in black were rude and one looked at me as if I didn't belong at the hotel!
The rooms could use some updating, but overall clean and in close proximity to the beach (which the kids loved). The breakfast buffet worked for me and had lots of options.
On arrival our 2 rooms were not ready and we had to wait a while to go to the bedroom. When we did eventually got the room, we had to call the staff to clean it, which they were quite happy to do so, which Luca was very helpful all the time there after. Although my son had to wait a lot longer for their room. There is a variety of things to eat, however, as one member of our family has allergies, there was a small variety of food to eat (Gluten etc) The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and also the security at the Hotel is great. Great location and fantastic views from your bedroom.
We had a great time.
Excellent
Front desk staff insisted I didn't have a second room reserved when I clearly did. Had a rude and condescending attitude. Upon check-up they had already charged ne for the second room they said I hadn't reserved. They will supposedly be refunding me but I will never stay there again. Terrible attitude.
Staff so very friendly
Beautiful hotel, great view, clean and the staff is very friendly.
Personnel was very helpful and friendly, specially Mr. Ramos at the omelet breakfast station. I would like for the Spa showers to be inproved with soap and shampoo as well as the jacuzzi cleaning.

Surprised by the luxury in Rio
We were very happy that we paid a little extra for the executive experience and really loved the little extras you guys provided us- chocolates, and the executive lounge. Your staff was wonderful and we really enjoyed our trip more because of the people who work for Hilton.
Amazing all around!
roof top was beautiful breakfast was excellent, restaurant staff very nice, the hot tubs spa jets not working the water was warm and old brown, front desk not friendly i waited 3 hours to check in you can not bring any guest in your room unless you register and pay 300 real plus tax so about $60 us dollars each guest no matter if it,s girlfriend, sister, cousin,... did not feel like vacation to strict to many rules ...
I genuinely was looking forward to staying at this hotel after seeing positive reviews but, unfortunately, the front desk staff was so extremely rude that it completely ruined the experience. Additionally, the room was not available for checkin at 3p, but rather we had to wait until around 4:30p for the room to be ready and, when asked, the front desk staff offered no solution. Further, in a hotel with a constant revolving door of people, my friend and I were the only ones stopped by security to prove that we were staying at the hotel. After we complained, the front desk blamed the issue on their security team that they claimed was not affiliated with their hotel. A complete lie. I do not recommend staying here until they get a better front desk staff.

Over priced for room size, amenities.
Very nice hotel with great beach views and access.
Very busy hotel. Many patrons come early and Stowe their luggage waiting for the email that their room has become available. It would be good to have a front desk line for those patrons already checked in, getting their room keys, rather than having them stand in a long queue for the second time.
There is a lot of homeless around need to be careful very dirty and very smelly
Good hotel. Close to the beach with chairs and towels provided to guests. Breakfast staff were superb, very friendly and efficient. Free breakfast is solid, save the juices which were all insipid and awful. It’s a huge hotel, so at times the wait at front desk was long.
The best part of this hotel are the amazing views from the roof top. Perfect location near Capacabana beach. Food for breakfast was amazing too. We were pretty disappointed with the conditions of the room, facilities and cleanliness. The room was dirty, the furniture in a room was outdated and falling apart. Wooden floor very old and full of scratches. I had not idea that Hilton has such low standards.
Excellent location, over looking the beautiful Copacabana beach. Hotel room is clean, but it’s noisy. Staffs are friendly but not helpful.
Great location
A beautiful and modern hotel overlooking Copacabana Beach. Great breakfast! The front desk staff was the best.
The location is convenient for Copacabana. Rio appears to be an outdated beach town so unsure how Hilton Copacabana compares to other hotels. Fortunately stayed one night, more nights would have chabged hotels. Lack of friendless, convenience, accommodations. Overall just okay for one night.
This hotel is in a good location right across the street from CopaCabana beach. There didn't seem to be much shopping nearby but there were some pretty good restaurants very close. You will need to take an Uber or taxi to get most places unless you have a tour pick you up. The hotel is older and shows it without much in the way of upgraded rooms. However, the room was a good size after we made them change rooms from one that was the back of the elevator. Upstairs on the 39th floor is a wonderful bar area and pool with fantastic views.
This is the best place you can stay in Copacabana. Very nice staff. Very helpful for everything. If you want a nicer/safer area definitely stay in Ipenema.
Large rooms plus perfect location in Copacabana
Perfect location, sea front in Copacabana beach. Very good breakfast
Came here for two weeks and had a great time. Super safe area, friendly staff and overall super fun vibes. I highly recommend!
Hotel was nice and clean. Overall good stay.
Lovely hotel. Great location right on the beach. Lots of shops and restaurants very nearby. Lovely having a drink in the roof bar. Fantastic breakfast.
This is an iconic hotel, at the most premium location of Copacabana. However, the hotel is not well maintained, the staff at the reception are badly dressed, much underdressed if compared to other hotels of same or even lower standard. The hotel bar is under equipped with very limited variety of drinks. The rooms need update, if this was a cheap 3 star hotel, I wouldn’t complain, however we expect more from this property and from the how much you pay for it
Good hotel.
Great location, attentive staff and beach and Atlantic ave. view from our ocean front room was awesome
Stayed here during New Year’s. So maybe they were just too busy. I had to ask my room to be cleaned multiple times before someone showed up. I had blood stained sheets for three nights, kept asking the front desk to please have them changed. The sheets weren’t changed. On the night I was supposed to leave my backpack (laptop, iPad, passports, watch, iPhones) got stolen right out of the lobby, and I was stuck for additional nights because I needed to get an emergency passport. Individuals at the hotel were very nice. Overall the theft ruined it for me. Having to ask for the room to be cleaned constantly didn’t help either.
We loved this hotel. Great service and very friendly staff. It is right across from the beach. The safety was the most impressive. You could not enter the hotel at night without a security person checking your key. The breakfast was superb.
Enjoyed our stay.
Excellent location, attentive staff, very good breakfast buffet.
It was very pleasant stay except for mu Airpods I lost somewhere aroung swimming pool on 39th floor.
You get what you pay for, way better than other hotels in the neighborhood.
Great location but book directly with hilton
Location and amenities are great. Had an excellent service experience at a previous stay but this time, because we didn't book directly with hilton, we didn't get some benefits even though i have been a good member for over 20 years. The room didn't have shampoo in the container and there was no remote control or ironing board which were supposed to be in the room. When we requested them, they came quickly.
Amazing location, great staff
When we checked in, the room had A/c water leaking with carpet wet soaked. Got room changed to different one with room in poor condition. Mirror in the room had rust and spotted. Room key kept on not working causing too many issues
Very old and run down place. Not allowed to flush toilet paper as it blocks the toilet… something so basic. Also the sink had no stopper and it was smelly. Very poor condition. Have stayed at hilton at other places, this was disappointing. Glad we had split out our stay at Rio between Hilton and The Fairmont. Hilton might need at sight visit at Fairmont to see the standard.
Friendly and accommodating staff.
Looking Copacabana beach from window
Very convenient
Staff was very helpful. The views of the beach were gorgeous.
Dissapointing The photos they have on Expedia do not reflect the reality of the facility. This hotel is super old and does not look like the photos they posted. I'm terribly dissapointed with how old the facilties, doors, windows, even hallways are. It feels like this building was built in 1950's and was never renovated. The staff was friendly and kind. That was the only highlight of my stay.
Nice hotel , the spa could use some renovation.
Great hotel! The staff is very friendly and useful.
The imagery of the property is edited or outdated. There was wallpaper missing from the hallway walls, an interesting odor, and furniture very dated.
The roof top is really nice, the breakfast is so good
Property is located directly across from the beach and they provided chair and towel service which was convenient. However, we had to change rooms when we first arrived because the bathroom was dirty.
Friendly staff but tired hotel
Front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was very basic and tired, especially for a '5 star' hotel. The tub was stained, and the linens were quite rough. No milk for the coffee. The 'concierge' is actually just an outsourced tour agent and didn't have up to date information about the hotel itself or things like nearby restaurants. Overall, poor value.
We loved it here and def plan to come back. The staff were all super helpful.
Did not have a coffee maker in room. Asked multiple times, was told they’d bring it. Then finally told me I could only have one if I had booked a suite. The area surrounding the hotel smells of urine and there are people approaching to ask for money continuously.
Rooms were not updated, smelling like humidity Seems an old hotel With very good location Food was barely ok
Very nice location, nice buffet breakfast and great rooftop views lounge
The atmosphere and incredible views from the rooftop bar and pool are worth the stay alone. The added convenience of the complimentary beach side chair/umbrella/towel service offered by the hotel was a pleasant surprise and nice perk we weren't aware of prior to booking. So many amazing restaurants within walking distance as well.
Great location to Copacabana beach with complimentary beach towels and lounge chairs. The hotel was clean, the room cleaned daily, and good dining options.
Room was not as expected. Mold was in bathroom and Jacuzzi.
Washrooms in lobby and spa floor were not clean Jacozi was not working all the time
Rooftop pool
Front desk charge for visitor, this is the first time that I stayed in a Hilton property that happens to me, any other Hilton Hotel let me receive guest but this location was rude and careless about it, also staff lady was so nasty and wanted to charge right away with a disgusting attitude, very security people very unfriendly as well, wouldn’t greet at you or smile, seems that hate their job. Servers and bartenders were nice and polite.
Overall, the property is great but the one thing I notice and bothered me a lot, it was the detail cleanliness. For example, the shower heads seemed to be very old and haven't been cleaned in a long time. It had mold built up which resulted in me cleaning it myself with a towel. Its in a great location and the staff were amazing.
The breakfast was excellent and the view of the beach from the roof top is relaxing and breathtaking.
Perfect
Great place !
Comfortable but poor service
The room was good and I enjoyed watching Netflix on the big screen TV. However, it was impossible to get any service. The front desk never answered the house phone. I finally called from my own phone to the hotel and even then I was cut off after being put on hold.
Great beach front views of Copacabana
Great location, great view, close to restaurants, grocery stores and beach. Only complaint is that they wouldn’t let us check in early. Had to spend hours walking a beautiful beach but couldn’t appreciate it enough because we were exhausted from a long flight and would have liked to rest in our room before going out.
I like how there was a hot tub. Other hotels didn’t have one especially on cold rainy/ windy days.
Great location and great facility , gym and spa are great. Best priced 5 star on Copacabana. Walk to the beach , walk to lots of restaurants in the area. 5 min cab ride to Rio Sul shopping mall. Amazing breakfast and the best rooftop bar on copacabana .
Good location
.
We requested an early check in & was informed it would be dependent upon availability. We arrived and spoke to one person who informed us that we were able to check in early but it would be a couple hours as the room is being prepped. We asked three times after if our room was ready & the remaining staff was very unaccommodating and rude. They would no longer allow us to check in early. When it was finally check in time. We were met with the same individual who told us we can check in early & he informed us the room was already ready and he doesn’t know why we weren’t given the keys. Very unfortunate start to our week long vacation. It just set a very bad tone. Also, there is a language barrier & we were informed not to walk anywhere at night as it was not safe.
Location and service were excellent
The staff members are all very friendly. The location is excellent.
Beautiful hotel. Close to the beach and sites
It was great
Very good location - rooftop pool is lovely
Great location. Amenities were awesome. Rooftop pool and staff were amazing. Very welcoming. Was a great place for me as a solo traveler going to Rio for the first time!
Very secure facility with great staff
Our luggage was delayed and all the staff in COncierge were super helpful in trying to contcat the airline and the courier service.
I felt safe and secure staying at the hotel with my family (9yo and 12yo). If beach is your main draw, then this hotel would be an excellent choice. They get a lot of large tour groups staying at the hotel. This gave me the impression that their breakfast and pool may be undersized. The gym facility is minimal. As a base for tourist activities it is a good location. I never felt at risk walking around the hotels neighborhood.
It was great views, very clean and the staff was very helpful. Only downfall was my whole family received $45/ daily for their stay on every other platform but Expedia
A really great place to stay and it’s literally across the street from the beach!!! 10/10
Hilton fails as a good hotel
Check in did not have correct info check out gave me a receipt and then charged more to my credit card bathrooms had mold maid service on days left no toilet paper or coffee staff was not friendly except for pool attendants they were great and bar staff friendly rooms need to be updated shower from 1950
An excellent property that very well represents the Hilton brand. Great location on Copacabana beach. First rate staff. Lobby, gym, pools and spa are first rate. The rooms are very comfortable and well kept.
Smack in copacabana’s north side, with sweeping views. Our room was superb (2 queens family room). Good security team and front desk. We used the vallet for our car and it was smooth. They have their own area in the beach which is well attended and clean, but predictably the Hilton sign means you will be bombarded with vendors of every sort (literally coconuts to condoms) -every 2 minutes…like elsewhere in Copacabana. Night out and return a bit more races as hotel team secures only the hotel and its walkways. Not a problem if you take a cab and/or are quick.
On Copacabana Beach so great location!
Great place
Nice hotel across the road from the beach
Everything was pretty much perfect. Only had one staff member who was in a terrible mood.
