It was dodgy. Showers were dirty and there was no hot water for a shower. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Staff were not pleasant at all No star rating from me. It was like a homeless refuge for men.
Very tiny room with no facilities at all even hand there was no hand wash in the toilet. Felt it was just a room in the middle of jungle Carpet was smelling and extremely dirty.
Everything was terrible and completely different from pictures and mentions.
The rooms are very bad and lot of bad smell in the room.
Just don't do it!
Awful. Do not pay to stay here. A prison is a better place to stay. The place is dirty, to many people crammed into tiny rooms that have never been cleaned. The showers are lousy at best. It's just not a welcoming environment to start or end a trip.
Aeroplane noise - expected, but to be aware of. Hostel is grotty. Room had a metal filing cabinet in lieu of a wardrobe. Plus an electric radiator without feet, just kind've leaning... plug not quite able to fit in the wall. One bathroom door had no resistance so was banged open and shut all night long. Can hear showering, talking etc - walls and door thin. Bathrooms disgusting - towels left on the floor. No soap, except in shampoo bottles (?!). Smelt bad. I've been to many hostels. I would not go back to this one.
Dump- avoid if possible
Would not recommend, people were living there while waiting for housing, no lockers, shower was cold, This place should not be advertised to tourists and really needs a full refurb or to be closed. Yes it is close to Heathrow but suitable for holiday makers. The guy in reception when I checked in barely spoke English, I won't be back.
Gross! Bugs everywhere. Loud music till 4 am. The staff weren’t in the office to even voice a complaint with. The worst worst mistake you can make on your trip is booking at this place.
The closeness to the Hounslow train station. The property is very close to the tube station. This enabled me to access the London Heathrow airport within a short time. Am not very happy about the conduct of the ground staff and the hostel policy of insisting on 2.pm check in time for a passenger in transit.
Convenient to Heathrow Airport by Bus or Tube
It's a cheap Hostel. Keep that in mind. Good for rough travellers who just need a place to sleep for a night, especially if arriving / departing Heathrow Airport. Close to buses and underground trains to the Airport or the City. Fellow guests arriving / departing at all hours are disruptive. Hotel management should refrain from turning on the overhead lights everytime someone is brought to a dorm room and should designate some rooms for long-term stayers (who tend to spread out and take common space) and other rooms for over-nighters (who don't want to be staying in a room "taken over" by the long-timers). Felt safe-enough, but wouldn't recommend to timid single travellers.
Bed has spring poking into my back. Smells funny. The place is so dirty. Check in is a desk inside the kitchen behind the restaurant. I was afraid and not feel safe the entire night. Not even able to go use the bathroom and leave my belongings for a few minutes. Look like a halfway house. I ended up putting all my belongings on the little twin bed alongside with me while I sleep, check out after 4 hours of napping and went straight to the airport and brush my teeth at the airport. I would have felt safer sleeping in the airport than this place.
One night
Well I got there eventually 7.39 needed passport but not on me as I didn’t need it from Cornwall... the kitchen was shut so no hit water or cutlery or kettle ... solo so fin want to venture out.... parking was easy free gladly..... 5 beds out of 6 nice friendly staff and roommmates... it was cold and the toilet bathroom were wet on floors and smelt funny... never bothered to shower ... but had kettle in car with hit water bottle pillow and found a spoon ..pot noble ...had milk coffee so was able to eat something hot bearing in mind I was stuck in traffic in the m25 due to accidents breakdowns from Gravesend..... I was tired having ran 3 marathons and wanted sleep but roommate snores so load got little sleep .... lots of plugs and usb sockets in the bed with a light so was able to charge phones etc
Not a good experience, will not recommend it to anyone
They are rude
Good for solo traveler for 1 night
This hotel us for the solo traveler needed a place to lay their head. Hotel conditions are lower than average but beds are clean and comfy. Pub has friendly staff and excellent food.
Wouldn't recommend...
The floor in the room I stayed smelled of urine. The music down stairs in the pub blasts till early hours. no storage for bags/anything. The price you pay for a night is a rip off when you take into consideration the price of other hostels. Ive been in much cleaner more comfortable hostels cheaper. The only good thing about this place is location. 15 min walk from hounslow central and a 2 min walk to hounslow east tube station. Laundrette near by and places to eat.
Horrible Hostel
Horrendous “hostel”. Attached to a pub with no lockable door between the pub and the staircase leading up to the rooms. Room was disgustingly dirty with two women very obviously living in there, using one of the lockers as a pantry and their belongings strewn across 4 of the 5 beds and all over the floor. I was too scared to unlock my bags or stay the night and left 30 minutes after checking in. I asked the receptionist to call me a taxi and a man arrived 20 minutes later with nothing but a GPS, and then the receptionist got angry when I refused to get in his car and ordered an Uber instead. Do not stay here.
It got the job done
For the price you pay, it was pretty decent. I have no complaints
filthiest hostel I have ever stayed in
Shockingly bad, and I stay at a lot of backpacker hostels. There was not a single toilet seat I wanted to subject my butt cheeks to, and the showers were not much better. One shower was locked, though nobody was in it. Another shower had buckets, mops, cleaning supplies that one would have to step around to get into the shower, and the other shower had water, a wet towel, and wet toilet paper on the floor. The sheets were not very clean. I won't stay there ever again.
My week at Heathrow Hostel
Actually a 6 bed female room, not 5. Room very small, no real storage space; triple bunk bed very clean and comfortable with extremely fluffy duvet. Bedding is provided at no extra charge, which is not obvious from the description, so I had brought my own. Some staff were much more helpful than others. You have to have your room key reactivated each afternoon. No lounge or kitchen available. The White Bear Pub is nice and the food I had was good (Veg noodles, fish & chips), the staff are very nice and the music was LOUD. Easy walk to Hounslow East tube station, with lifts to the platform and straight access to Heathrow Airport. Buses run right by the hostel. Several places to eat very close by. Highly recommend La Fierbinti Paterisserie & Bakery for fabulous pastries and coffee and very inexpensive. The lovely staff are a plus. I was very happy overall with my experience - it is an extremely inexpensive place to stay and well-worth the money I spent. I never felt unsafe in the area at all, and roamed extensively on foot at various times of day and night (I'm a much older woman).
Very disappointing, I guess you get what u pay for
The bartender also works the hostel counter. Had to wait a while, to get checked in. The doorway, to the dorm I was staying in, smelled like urine. Very noisy. People racing up and down the streets. Bed was comfy, and liked curtains around the bed. Only positives.
Going to London
Good experience in the London
The place wasn't well kept, the toilets were not nice to use, the room was very small, and there is almost no parking... I guess it's okay if you're a student and are back packing or don't have a lot of money, but it's not what I expected...
Not what I expected. Can't sit upright on bed.
Really bad room and bed. Dirt room, no space. I booked the room to stay overnight while waiting for my connecting flight. But the place was not good at all. But I managed to sleep there for six hours. I could not stand the room. I got the middle of a three level bunk bed. It was not high enough. I could not sit upright on the bed. I had to lay on the bed all the time. Big discomfort.
Close to the airport and train station
I had booked a six bedded room, the guy mistakenly put me in a nine bedded room and then changed it when I complained. Then in the six bedded room, he put me, he came back to change the bed he initially put me and said he made a mistake. My final bed has none of the electrical sockets functioning and therefore could not charge my tablet on my bedside. I did complain to the guy but he was raising his voice. In all I had a terrible experience in this hotel.
Needs Work
After being shown the dorm: a 3-tier bunk setup (never saw that before) and strong smell of urine, I asked for my money back, and thankfully, they did. I got on Tube and located a hostel closer to London in Hammersmith. This one was very clean as one would expect.
Okay for its price
Hostel entrance is difficult to find. The door in the corridor makes a very loud noise every time someone goes through.
Close to airport but meh
Lovely friendly staff and secure tidy room but bathroom was horrible and there was a really loud party in the pub so hardly got any sleep. Grand short journey to airport, basic needs met but won't be goin back.
Worst hostel but near to airport
Very small room but still OK for the price. No hot water shower in morning.Central heating not switched on.
Should have slept at the airport instead
I had a 17 hour layover at Heathrow and thought this would be a good place just to sleep overnight. I paid extra to have my own room as a treat. The guy I talked to running the front was nice enough but the place itself was a mess. The bar downstairs blasts it's music so loudly that you can hear it throughout the entire hostel making it hard to sleep even with earplugs in. The walls are terribly thin, my room was situated next to the bathrooms and I could hear every noise from the occupants inside. Then to top everything off the place was disgustingly filthy. The walls in my room were covered in shaving cream and were grimy. Honestly if I had just slept at the airport it would have been quieter and cleaner.
Close to Leicester university
Hotel need renovation. Lots of squeaking noise. Breakfast is good
Horrible, don't go there
Dirty room, dirty and out of order bathrooms with no plumber on the way (1 working shower, 2 working toilets for entire complex). I don't think the bathrooms or common areas were cleaned during my stay either. No room for bags, couldn't sit up in bed due to tiny bunks, and my bunk had a broken power point. Staff didn't seem to care when told. Pub downstairs was equally bad and made me feel unsafe due to comments from drunk patrons. The reception was frequently unmanned, forcing me to go into the pub for help. Had to pay extra for my key which needed to be renewed multiple times a day. This place is disgusting, and not worth any money.
Disgusting room! Rude staff!
The staff tried to charge us a second time, although we had already paid and could show confirmation. I showed him my email and he deleted it from my phone!! Luckily I'm not stupid and could see what he had done. The place stank of animal hair and the room was no better, bed unclean and the bathrooms were a disgrace. People should not be paying to stay here!! Although irrelevant to the hotel itself, the area around also is very dangerous and made myself and my partner very nervous about leaving our car outside with lots of young people hanging around. Overall very uncomfortable and nerving stay.
Bad experience
The hostel is for vagabonds and construction workers from abroad. I wouldn't recommend it to decent people.
Hounslow Stay
Normal
Avoid if possible
Wouldn't recommend unless you are on really really low budget!!!! I woke up with bites all over my body...I suspect bug beds but can't confirm!! definitely not mosquitoes !! People saying there do not seems educated!! The staff was nice
Pay more and get a better hotel
Mein sizes are very small, the place is not clean and you have to pay for everything including the parking, towels etc...
Horrible customer service.
Horrible customer service, no towel, no coffee. Enter at your own risk.
very closer to tube station and bus stop.
Great location, close to a lot of shops and transport, but it is next to a pub and give onto a busy main street. Couldn't sleep till the pub closes.
Comfy bed near airport
The bed was super comfortable but the hostel itself was filthy. Good free Internet but in hindsight I should have just commuted into the city.
Great stay for the price: super-efficient.
This hostel is recently renovated and has practical amenities in a small space. The bunks stack 3 high in rooms with more or less standard ceiling height, so space is tight, but each bunk has it's own light, USB charger and standard UK power socket. I found the bunks otherwise comfortable and the sheets very clean: a big plus. At the time of my stay, one toilet and one shower were out of order, but generally it was not a problem to use the facilities when needed. The floors of the toilets and shower rooms seemed to be wet much of the time. There is a microwave on a small table-top with just enough space for one bar stool: good for a small meal; there are lots of cheap restaurants and cafes close by as well as a big shopping centre and Asda hypermarket. Public transport is great: 5 minutes to the Piccadilly line; a couple of minutes more to the bus to Hammersmith/Heathrow. Noise from the airport was surprisingly minimal, perhaps helped by the fact that aircraft were unusually taking of to the East, rather than landing from the East. Music can be heard from the pub below but stopped before midnight. I found the staff professional, helpful and friendly: thank you to them. For the price I paid, it was great.
Disgusting place
Its cheap. But the place is filthy and disgusting. Dont go there! I am warning you...
Good for price
Close to the train, which is only a couple stops to the airport. Clean, just not enough bathroom facilities.
What I expected...
It was okay. At first glance it was what I had expected, it was a hostel. It's location is perfect just under 500 meter from the tube, and next door neighbor to a pub. But I could not get my breakfast, which I had ordered the day before, because of a misunderstanding, but I got my money back, which is something... ;)
Bad
Bad
A complete and utter dive of a place !!!!
The staff were very rude and not at all attentive. The staff spoke very poor English and were not focused on their customers and there were frequent times staff left the reception area. Some even swore in front of customer, some of whom were only kids themselves !!! More disturbing was that there was no security in the rooms because they had run out of keycards. Additionally the whole place was very noisy and overall not well maintained or kept clean. It was so bad I chose to sleep in my van overnight and even getting a receipt out of them was like getting blood out of a stone.
Great place when on the move
Overnight stay for work
Ideal for Twickenham
Staff were pleasant, room was clean, bed comfy enough, would stay again
what a dump !!
nightmare was double booked so had to stay in room with Brocken toilet and stunk like a sewer carpet was wet and shower didn't work ! No plugs so couldn't have a bath or wash no TV or internet unfriendly staff some one scratched all down the side of my car which was 5£ a night needs closing down was like a refugee camp bugs in the bed which was wet and lumpy buff said
