Fabulous romantic night away
We had a beautiful room, extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and the added touch of complimentary drink in our room not to mention the room service offering lime, lemon and ice was added luxury.
Pool was in use by a class which I was not made aware of
Nice Hotel
Nice Hotel in a Great location.
Great location
Mixed Opinions
Rooms too hot Pillows not comfy Iron in room the spray wasnt working- needs updating and needs a new iron! Changing rooms, showers and Spa needs seriously updating! 1 bar tender working in bar- took 15 mins to get a drink and it wasn't busy! Other than that the food and service at breakfast time was great and in the Jetty was great!
Great location near the Quay and on the large natural harbour. Staff excellent. Suitable for a wide range of age groups. Room overlooking carpark was spacious.
I had to wait for the reception guy to be bothered to look up from his screen to ask if he could help. That 40 seconds could have been started with 'just give me a second' - he did the same to the people behind me! I also had to contact the property as they charged me for the mini bar i never touched. No explanation - just a revised invoice. Won't stay again, shame as room was amazing. Will go back to the Hilton or Holiday Inn in Bournemouth.
Stayed at several Harbour Hotels in the past and this one lacks. Spa was a bit cold and dirty (especially the whirlpool which was cold) - and the rooms were in poorer condition. Was very noisy due to massive Christmas parties happening which also meant bar and food service incredibly poor. Overall poor value for money.
A special birthday treat for my husband. Lovely room, very clean and the icing on the cake was the gin and tonic on our hospitality tray. All the staff were happy and helpful. Would stay there again. Thank you Christchurch Harbour Hotel.
We would particularly like to mention Phil who worked in the restaurant. Phil was very attentive, friendly and professional.
Such a lovely stay for my partners birthday, got a lovely upgrade too. Rooms are wonderful and spacious with a comfortable bed. Also, I mistakenly left my expensive hairdryer and the hotel shipped it back to me next day with no trouble. Very enjoyable stay.
Our Go to Hotel
The service from the staff is superb. The hotel is beautifully located. The Upper Deck food is good. If I'm looking for something below excellent, it would be that our room was a little cramped
Saved by the service
The room I booked , was very under maintained and stank like sweat. However , the team were excellent and moved me really promptly - the service truly makes this hotel and the food is excellent
I wish I didn’t feel like writing this as the hotel in different circumstances would’ve been lovely. I came there as a birthday treat to myself but as I’m a single parent my son was with me too. Pool times are clear on the website so it was our choice, but still many hotels now at least extend those times to longer periods over half term. Harbour extended those by 30 mins a day not even a session. We really wanted to have a cosy night in and have a room service on our first night but there was no way of getting through to them so we had to go down the restaurant and eat options that we didn’t really fancy. Although those options were very tasty. Sleep. If I had a good sleep I wouldn’t have written anything. I am working single parent I came for a break - I need sleep. But our room was so hot (end of October) and the window only had shutters and no blackout curtain. By opening those shutters at nought we were met by a glaring light from both a street lamp and light from the housekeeping outbuilding right in our window. Neither my son nor I managed to get good sleep on other of the two nights stay. And breakfast. It was good quality but so limited in healthy or really any options. Mostly pastries and some fruit with yoghurt and some tiny slices cheeses with some meets. It’s continental but somehow I expected at least a few more non pastry related options. Restaurant staff were great. Receptionist who checked us in was abrupt and I appeared couldn’t bear to hear much about pool.
Great Hotel
Very friendly staff especially the gentleman guiding us to a table in the morning for breakfast
My experience was a bit of a let down versus the promise on the website. Especially as I stay at the sister hotel, The Kings Arms, often which is much nicer & cheaper. The 'gym', pool & spa aren't worth the higher cost.
Overall a nice hotel, however for the price which is way higher than offer hotels in the area, I was expecting it to be a lot nicer. The room was small, there was a funny smell when I entered the room so had to air it out. The shutters there instead of curtains were broken so let light in. I think it is overpriced for what you get.
Great service, location! Spa good
ENJOYED OUR STAY FOOD AT JETTY VERY VERY GOOD ROOMS ARE COMFORTABLE WOULD STAY AGAIN
The hotel was nice. Staff in bar were very friendly. The parking was chaos. Double parking required. It was busy due to a wedding but staff said it was a regular thing. After a long drive just want to park and relax and enjoy hotel
Beautiful and convenient location.
Spa was good. Food lovely. Staff excellent. Room was too warm and no air conditioning so difficult sleep
No complaints
Everything was fine. No complaints apart from the bed being so high I needed a leg up! Complimentary G&T a bit odd. They come around with ice if you’re there but once the Gin has run out they don’t refill it not even on 3rd night and you have to buy more tonic. Phil in the restaurant was amazing! Such a nice man 10/10 for service
The hotel itself could probably do with a bit of refurbishment. Stayed in a harbour view room on top floor and the fabric headboard was quite grubby. The coffee machine was on the floor in the wardrobe so you had to lift it out and set it on the side to use it. The kettle was in the wardrobe and the socket was in there but had to unwind the lead from the base of the kettle to be able to plgtit in and there was no light in the wardrobe so had to have the main room lights on to be able to see what you were doing in the wardrobe to make the tea. Bathroom was fine, nice shower. Curtains a bit tired and torn on the back. Didn't use the spade facilities m Ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious, really rated the meal. Breakfast was similar to any other hotel or cafe.
We booked a night as a treat. When we arrived cars were double parked and there were no spaces available. The hotel had a wedding and christening party so was very busy. Check in didn’t take long but was rushed, I wasn’t sure re breakfast times and options but thought I’d find it in our room so didn’t ask. I later checked with the restaurant. Our room was in a small building between the car park and road. A steep spiral staircase led us to our room . The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. The double ended shower facilities amazing. It was a hot day so we opened the windows, it was quite noisy with guests later and staff trollies and traffic in the morning. The location is brilliant for walking to Mudeford quay. Breakfast was great as was the waiter service. The view from the restaurant is lovely. The spa pool is narrow so only suitable for 3 swimmers , unfortunately the jacuzzi was out of action, it didn’t feel the most inviting spa. Preparation for the next days wedding was underway. We stayed at a busy time of year and wouldn’t do so again, though would like to go when no events and quieter.
A perfect retreat!
We would highly recommend The Harbour Hotel and Spa. The service is amazing, the staff are so friendly, the hotel is clean and in a wonderful position. The food is delicious! We loved the fact that we could have our balcony door open all night and it was so quiet and peaceful. We also loved the trolley that came round at 5pm to restock your ice, drinks etc… plus the complementary gin!! Beds were so comfortable and room really clean. The Spa was lovely too!! You can’t go wrong staying there!
Our room was fabulous, with great views, staff were professional, polite and helpful
Lovely anniversary trip with Hubbie in a lovely setting
Really relaxing break...our room was small but comfortable and really clean.. the continental breakfast was absolutely lovely and plenty to choose from. The garden area was beautiful.
A first class and beautiful hotel right by the Christchurch harbour …….. a perfect and relaxing setting. Our room with terrace was so beautifully decorated to a high standard. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. The food at The Jetty Restaurant was so delicious and first class. The Upper Deck Restaurant was also lovely. A MUST hotel to stay in.
Great hotel, will definitely return
Fantastic stay, staff were excellent. Great spa and fantastic restaurant
A busy weekend including a Sat wedding reception, so parking was difficult with not an extensive hotel parking area
Enjoyable stay.
We had a very enjoyable stay and the highlight the incredible view at breakfast. Throughout our stay all staff were professional and polite .
Lovely view from restaurant
Excellent food and service in main restaurant. Courteous staff, friendly and helpful. Lovely view from restaurant terrace.
Loved my stay here with my husband and Olivia on reception was so helpful and amazing. The hotel was amazing along with the restaurants and the setting of the hotel.
Luxury hotel
Amazing stay picturesque setting overlooking Mudeford quay
Love this place ❤️❤️
Always a great relaxing stay….like home from home ❤️
Wonderful hotel perfectly positioned to enjoy all of the surrounding area. Very nice staff, comfortable bed and extremely clean.
Our second stay at the Harbour Mudeford. We opted for some added luxury and booked the deluxe harbour view. Room was comfortable and the complimentary gin & tonic was much appreciated. We ate in the hotel for 2 of our 3 nights and had a really lovely meal. Well presented and tasted really nice. Reception staff and concierge were very helpful and friendly. Overall a successful and happy stay. Will recommend to friends and family. Some areas of the hotel needed some TLC we felt but generally pleasing.
Hotel has high standards
Felt luxurious for overnight stay
The Christchurch Harbour Hotel is a lovely peaceful hotel set on the waters edge with views over to Mudeford Quay and the Mudeford Sandbank beach huts. The rooms are clean and modern the staff are all polite and friendly. There are two restaurants on site the Upper Deck and the Jetty. The hotel has a spa on site offering treatments plus there is a small swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna as well as a Gym. The peace and ambiance at this hotel has made us return visitors for the third time and we will inevitably return to stay here again in the near future. Well done to all the staff at the Harbour Hotel Christchurch for the wonderful experience they offer to their guests.
Room was very disappointing for what we paid, I expected the room to be situated in a nicer spot and not off the car park. We couldn’t open our blinds otherwise we would have been seen by everyone and there was a massive stain on the carpet. The room was tired and needed an overhaul. If you’re looking for luxury then I wouldn’t recommend staying here it was very overpriced.
Very nice garden with a sea view. Nice to relax and have a drink whilst enjoying the views. Excellent service and comfortable rooms. We loved our stay and I will definitely book again.
Harbour Hotel
Only stayed for 1 night, but location was superb, room very comfortable, a really nice touch was the complimentary G&T. Spa facilities were very good. Dined in Upper Deck restaurant with best bit of Skate for many a year Well done

A myriad of light switches in the room some of which worked and some did not. Pleasant and helpful staff
Lovely staff, amazing food and great rooms!
Enjoyable spa hotel stay
We enjoyed our stay and use of the spa facilities. Room was lovely and well furnished. Only negative was the room was very hot and stuffy at night and no air conditioning and only a small window and fan.
Loved the hotel. The room was superb and the quiet all around was wonderful.
Very welcoming staff at reception. Parked our car safely for us as it was busy with a wedding so required double parking. Gin & tonic in rooms is a nice touch. Lovely room decor with a seaside feel. The Jetty is an exceptionally high quality restaurant. Delicious food. Service was great although very busy especially from Amelia. Buzzing atmosphere.
Lovely relaxing place with fabulous walks and views pleasant friendly staff and our room was very comfortable.
Amazing location the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great location if you need to be in Mudeford/Christchurch as this small hotel chain overlooks the Harbour. The double rooms are spacious and en-suite, and the finishing touches were unusual and excellent... this is the first time Gin was available as a complimentary item. The staff were excellent, and accommodating - for instance we arrived back from a 50th party quite late, we should have used room service, but the staff made us hot chocolate in the bar area and didn't charge us either! Truly fabulous experience. Breakfast was delicious too. Pancakes went down well, so did the full-english. Highly recommended.
Perfect Spring break
Really enjoyed our stay. Room was just right for us - loved the gin decanter! I used the Spa facilities, swimming, steam room and jacuzzi all excellent. Food was delicious with perfect portions and the waiting staff were very good and friendly. Will return.
Wonderful hotel made all the better by very attentive warm staff. Great facilities, great food, great location. Wonderful, thank you
Highly recommend
Lovely hotel, very good food and got attention to detail.
Lovely hotel in a great location, with the dining room overlooking Christchurch harbour - amazing views! Evening dinner in the hotel restaurant surpassed expectations. Also ate at The Jetty (on site restaurant but separate to the hotel) which was a gastronomic delight! Enjoyed the Spa area & had a very relaxing massage so felt totally spoiled & relaxed. The hotel is well situated for easy access to beaches, the harbour, New Forest & some great walks in the local area. Highly recommend this hotel & would definitely like to stay here again.
Stayed here for a mid-week treat in February. While the weather was mostly miserable, the welcome wasn't, mainly thanks to Olivia on check-in. A genuine smile and hello is an excellent upgrade! We'd gone for a 'snug' room. Small, yes, but larger than our bedroom at home. It could have had less furniture, and the bathroom configuration was a bit clumsy, but lovely toiletries and super-soft bedding and towels. The only irritation was because there were no sockets/chargers for your phones etc beside the bed (you had to unplug the lamp). Lovely G&T service; a nice touch. The gardens/views are exceptional, and I have no doubt this place is buzzing in the summer. We had lunch at the Jetty on one occasion; five-star and absolutely excellent! Breakfast twice at Upper Deck; faultless. And drinks at the Upper Deck too (the tattooed barman is a real credit to the place and someone who clearly knows his stuff). All in all, the staff really made this trip extra special and worth every penny; we wouldn't hesitate booking up a return visit. Friendly, funny (in a good way) and professional; you couldn't wish for a more decent bunch of people. The only negative part of the stay was down to the spa; very tired (upholstered sofas/cushions in a wet area wasn't ever a good idea) and unwelcoming. Pool/jacuzzi were probably a degree or two cooler than they should have been, but even cooler was the 'welcome' from the staff who clearly didn't want to be there.
We liked the harbour view from the hotel and proximity to the beach. During the summer, the lawn up to the harbour's edge must be an amazing place to relax. Room was warm and decor pleasant. Blackout shutters were misaligned and external lights made the room quite light during the night.
Excellent hotel
Very enjoyable
Excellent hotel with great views. Sea view from room a bit cluttered. Room was also odd shape so didn’t feel very big. Meals fabulous. Did wonder how this hotel would be for people with mobility issues as lots of steps everywhere.
Great spa hotel
Brilliant location right on the waterfront. Staff were very friendly and efficient and good was fantastic. Spa was great and very clean.
Rejuvenating break
A very short [1 night] stay but very good. The room was well equipped and comfortable and the Upper Deck restaurant was excellent. Service was good even though it was a busy evening. Breakfast was also of a very good quality and the cooked order came in just a few minutes. The gardens and view of the harbour are good and would be lovely in the summer months.
Christchurch Harbour Review.
Everything was fantastic except a nasty smell from the drains in the bathroom basins and showers. Out room was on the ground floor of an annex and there was torrential rain for our whole stay which may have been the cause. Didn't let it ruin our stay though.
Lovely staff who could not do enough for you. Rooms were immaculate and the bed was huge and so comfortable. The setting is beautiful. Food and drinks were of a really high standard. We had a lovely stay
Great experience friendly and helpful staff very comfortable staff
Great find
Lovely hotel in a super location.
We had a nice couple of days stay dispite the storm and weather! Friendly and good service Nice room, would recommend, car parking always bit tight only negative
Excellent experience
Very enjoyable. Food and service excellent. Spa excellent. Very friendly, hospitable and helpful staff. Would highly recommend.
Lovely one night stay. We used the spa facilities and also had an excellent meal in the restaurant.
Lovely stay - few niggles
Hotel was lovely. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The only downside for me personally was the room was very very hot, even the fan provided did not help. Also the rooms were very dark, I needed to use my torch on my phone to look into cupboards etc. There was a lack of mirrors with light. Also tea/coffee making facilities in the cupboard, there was no plug for kettle, so had to remove kettle and that took up valuable space on the dressing table, as I already had the fan taking up space on there too
Lovely view over Christchurch harbour, great breakfast and comfortable beds. Spa not big enough for the hotel, it was crowded, claustrophobic and messy. Breakfast service was chaotic on Sunday morning, not enough staff for the amount of guests. Great location though in walking distance of Avon beach and Mudeford Quay.
UTTERLY GLORIOUS PLACE TO STAY - FAULTLESS
I don't know where to begin . I could gush with praise & joy of our 2 night stay . The facilities are faultless - I particularly enjoyed 7am swims off the jetty with the ducks then slipping back through the tranquil resting room into the shower then the pool , sauna & steam room each day [in the fluffy white robe & slippers ofc:]]-That exhiliration will stay with me for a very long time . But the pleasure actually came via the staff: interaction was subtly, faultlessly polite & so subtly actively helpful as though they were family or friends ie in your corner but without 'being in your face' - the formula for this isn't easy -but they have it at the Harbour Christchurch. The appearance of everyone & their contentment added to ours . I am so grateful - those 2 days were as beneficial as a week & I can't imagine finding anywhere lovelier . THE FOOD WAS AMAZING . We ate in every evening at the jetty & Upper deck - a gastronomic treat on each evening for all 4 of us . The service was spot on . We frequently stay at hotels in the UK & I roll my eyes or tut sometimes : Here , I just smiled & smiled & smiled & still do when I remember it . Sadly , I haven't the photos I'd like but the exterior is protected from public thoroughfare & the surroundings make great exploring to Mudeford Harbour , great pub lunch , ferry across & walk over Hengistbury Head into Christchurch in a circle back . Equally pleasant to indulge in reading & watching the world go by in the hotel surroundings -
Hotel and location was overall excellent; in keeping with all the sites across the Harbour Hotels group. Disappointed with a few of the staff serving breakfast and dinner - little offish and found it hard to smile!
Beautiful setting
Perfect night away in this beautiful hotel. Setting is perfect. Lovely walks from Mudeford Quay which is minutes from Hotel. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Hotel was spotless and extras in room were very welcome.
Anniversary break
Fabulous hotel lovely setting with sea views from the restaurant. Our room was lovely and they had kindly left us chocolates and card for our anniversary. Cleanliness was excellent and we enjoyed using the pool and gym. Both of which were in good condition. Restaurant was quite expensive however we found local places to eat which were good value. The traditional breakfast was not great however eggs Benedict was lovely. Would definitely recommend. Probably the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in with the best views.
Another wonderful stay. Thank you to all staff - Sher of course was an absolute star as always, but all staff went above and beyond! Fab meal at The Jetty too!
Harbour Hotel Christchurch
Very nice hotel, staff excellent. Food very good. Parking a major problem. Very popular eating place. Blue badge spaces very limited and usually occupied. Overall a nice stay.
Dream break
Relaxing amazing stay to recharge the batteries! Attentive staff and spotlessly clean.
A really lovely hotel, with warm and friendly staff. Great food at the restaurant and superb views. Nice touches in the room and comfortable bed. Loved the spa, but would have loved it more if it was child free. I went to relax and children in the pool and jacuzzi was not relaxing. Otherwise everything was fantastic, great area and great hotel!
We found the staff to be excellent and food superb. We loved the grounds and the spa. The biggest issue for us was that the room was very warm. There was no fan or air con and windows barely opened. It was not that hot outside when we were there, so although we would return, it would have to be during winter.
Fantastic location, shame about the hotel details!
A friendly and prompt check in. Throughout all staff were very pleasure, polite, however they questioned common items requested, such as ice for the room Car parking may be an issue, to try to resolve, the hotel allows double parking, leave your keys on reception and they will move your car, when a space becomes available, good service! Our room was a cosy inland, nice décor, clean room, excellent mattress and linen. Due to the room being small the furniture could of been thought through, such size of the chair, a slimmer dressing table and smaller side tables. Be aware that there is no air conditional in any of the rooms and, only sliding sash widows for ventilation. The bathroom had a shower in the bath, the sides of the bath are extremely high, so if you have any sort of mobility challenges, you would not be able to climb over the bath side into shower, getting out of the bath could be full of hazards, if the floor is wet! Our shower screen fitments required a good clean or replacement. The back garden area is nice, the view is amazing!! but spoilt during the morning, as bar drinking glasses left out all night, this happened on all three mornings of our stay. The lower garden is not lit, during the evening, as there are areas where the concrete has cracked, uneven paths and pot holes and oddly ropes are hung between plant pots, lighting is required! This hotel is not worth the price, it is not on point! however due to the view, no competition, they get away with it!!
On arrival we found the reception’s staff very helpful, and enjoyed a superb evening meal in the restaurant. Our room was very comfortable and the location delightful. The two night stay was not long enough, so will return again soon.
Expectations surpassed
We were delighted on our arrival at reception by Alexandra who was welcoming and friendly and were further surprised and delighted when she advised that there was a complimentary gin and tonic in our room, which after a long drive from Scotland was very welcome! We could not have been happier with our partial sea view room which had a lovely peaceful outlook to the back of the building. It was very comfortable and had all amenities we could have hoped for. We both felt it was delightful to have several books on stories and poems on a sea theme in the room to inspire our stay! All the staff were genuinely friendly and interested in ensuring our stay was comfortable. Special thanks to Mikey who helped us get kitted out and getting into the borrowed kayak! Further thanks to all the concierges who took the hassle out of parking. The breakfasts were excellent with ample portions and with perfectly poached eggs. We dined in the Upper Deck one night for a light bite and I highly recommend the crab roll which tasted wonderfully fresh and delicious. Overall we had a very comfortable stay in a beautiful location with a pretty view, genuinely lovely staff and well appointed hotel. It was very worthy of its Best Hotel award and I would highly recommend it!
Lovely surroundings overlooking the water. Comfortable rooms, excellent restaurants and buffet. Staff all extremely helpful and polite
We had a lovely short break at the hotel. We dined at The Jetty restaurant, the food and service were amazing
Really impressed with our stay at the hotel. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Location is amazing and the breakfast was perfect.
Friendly welcome. Very helpful staff. Bright and comfortable room High quality breakfast. Very good experience at the Jetty.
Lovely room, fantastic food and service Great location
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The friendliness of the reception staff really made it for me, also the spa and grounds. So lovely. I will return! Thank you for your friendliness, and flexibility. Sharon Room 206, I think! ☺️
Wet convenient for Terminal 2 and 3. Restaurant expensive.
Lovely room and the food was excellant Dined in both restaurants and the service was excellant and the food par excellant. Spacious room and the spa facilities were good.
Good location. Friendly staff.
Good break
Great Garden terrace room, Jetty restaurant excellent lovely views to Mudeford sand
A wonderfully relaxing place. Friendly and attentive staff. Excellent food.
Can’t fault it.
Lovely hotel in a great position. Great staff and overall service. Can’t fault it.
Add air conditioning and this hotel would be amazing! A little loud one night as we had to keep the windows open due to heat and there was a corporate conference ‘after party’ happening outside. Apart from that all brilliant. Staff are attentive, happy and a pleasure to deal with.
Loved the Hotel, would have liked a larger room facing Mudiford.

My fiancé and I recently stayed here for a weekend away when we got engaged. The hotel and the restaurant The Jetty were amazing. They couldn't do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel, the food and the spa was lovely and we honestly couldn't fault anything. Thank you to all the staff we had a beautiful weekend thanks to them. I highly recommend
