Unique hotel stay
Such a beautiful hotel, had an excellent balance of stepping back in time and a luxe hotel stay.
The room I got was not the one in the picture online in my booking. I even showed the receptionist the photograph and he apologized and said that it is recommended that customers come and see the hotel room here before booking online. That's definitely a first! The room was okay otherwise, but just not what was in the picture. The exposed brick on the walls that's seen in the picture was not there. It was just a plain white wall. The receptionist was a young man who was extremely kind and professional as was the young man with curly hair who took my luggage upstairs. Keep in mind there are no elevators. The manager mismatched the hotel. She came off as quite unprofessional - smoking inside the hotel - and puffed away on her cigarette as I explained that the room I booked was not the one I had received. She wasn't too concerned about it and just said with a smile, "sorry." Breakfast was good. Overall, the hotel was good, but absurdly overpriced since it's likely you won't get the room in the picture, i.e., you're not getting the room you paid for. and the management clearly doesn't care to do anything about it.
Front Desk was very helpful..
şahane ambiyans
bir han olması mimari bütünlüğü kalan her şeyi unutturuyor sadece ambiyans için mutlaka bir kere görülmesi gerekli
A spectacular boutique hotel perfectly located in Istanbul and renovated with great taste. An experience not to be missed. Note that there are no elevators so it is not for people who need one.
Ein sehr außergewöhnliches Hotel - einfach toll Das personal sehr zuvorkommend- es werden keine Wünsche offengelassen.
I love this place
Stimmungsvoll
Schönes altes Gebäufe. Service an der Rezeption besonders aufmerksam. Musik aus dem Restaurant nachts etwas laut.
Will not be staying here again.
Although this hotel has a lot of history I cannot recommend it. The fact that the restaurant/bar is in the middle of the building means there is very loud music until 12:30 am every day. We had to buy ear plugs to get some sleep, ruined our days as we were very tired. The breakfast was ok, but absolutely ridiculous that you had to pay for water if you did not want black coffee or tea. The deluxe rooms very a great size, but the standard rooms do not have windows and the aircon keeps turning off – set to 25 degrees. Also, the is no elevator and only winding stairs which made it very difficult for my elderly father to get up and down. Staff at the check-in desk were very nice, the restaurant staff was less service minded.
Rooms very nice and clean. At the breakfast we had to pay extra for a glass of juice. 135 TL per glass ! How is this possible on a 200 Euro stay per night. Also breakfast was very basic. You have to pay extra if you want something else… In the evening a lot of sound of the Bar in the Patio. Not a 4 star experience ! It seems that the Patio Bar/breakfast are different company’s….
Beautiful and authentic hotel l, very well located.
