A Little SNAFU

When I arrived and went to check in for my prepaid one night stay, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled. I had to rebook and pay again theu hotels.com. When I checked out, I learned that one of their own staff had mustakenly canceled my reservation amidst some confusion. Now I have to request that hotels.com refund one of my payments upon return to the US.

I highly recommend.

Bueno no es culpa de el hotel pero estuvimos 2 días sin TV.

The room was a little bit small and the mattress makes a lot of noise. I let the receptionist know about the mattress condition and hopefully the management take care of this matter.

Situated in a walkable, beautiful, friendly and safe neighborhood The Hampton was the perfect place for my first visit to Colombia. Not to mention the staff is excellent and the free breakfast is fantastic. Cali is hot so the air conditioning and rooftop pool are a huge plus.

Hotel was nice. I didn't like that they didn't refund the entire 3 nights I had to do an early checkout, although I have already stayed for 6 days. They claimed I had to pay a one night penalty. So I only got 2 nights refund. These were full price nights and no label saying non-refundable was displayed when I booked. This is the first time any hotel has done that whenever I happen to do an early checkout. I can understand the one night penalty for no show. But for early checkout too???

Fine hotel

Hotel is average but in a convenient area close to restaurants including a Crepes and Waffles directly below and parks. Gym has a bench, universal machine and dumbbells up to 20lb. there is a bike, elliptical and 2 treadmills. Top floor has a pool and a hot tub that was drained at the time of the stay. Staff is nice, breakfast is a typical hotel buffet.

My visit was nice I hope next time you guys finished the construction of the pool..!! Everything was good very comfortable

Los ascensores nunca funcionaban las tarjetas se bloqueaban a diario, el desayuno no lo variaban, no habían botones personas que ayudaran con las maletas y 3 días antes de hacer check out nos levantaron super temprano que por q iban a quitar las carpetas y en pijamas tuvimos que sacar maletas y de todo y movernos a otra habitación 😡

Location was the central element of spending time at Hampton Inn Cali. The staff was amiable and the breakfast was plenty of options and pastries.

Excellent hotel, fantastic staff and very good breakfast…much better than breakfasts provided in the US.

Hampton by Hilton appears to be fairly new. Although my room was small, it had everything i needed. The TV worked great and had many international channels. The buffet breakfast had many choices. Below the hotel is a crepe restaurant, that attracts plenty of locals. The food at the restaurant was good, especially the crepes. Also, the hotel gym was good.

I’m paid to stay at the hotel because I wanted to use the gym. The machine broke the first day and three days later it was still not fixed.

No hot water ! I asked to change room due to that. And then. The air conditioner didn’t work good. I asked to talk to the general manager of the hotel. Andres called my room said he is the manager of the hotel. I had never experienced such an attitude from hotel manager!!! Told me water is not hot for you and air con also not cold for you. Im sorry. The check out time is 12:00noon. What!?!? Can you believe that ??? What a shame andres ! You shouldn’t manage any hotel if you dont know how to talk to guests ! Staff is eating and making noise at breakfast area early in front of the guests with that manager ! This is terrible! Andres you dont know how to manage hotel you ruin the place. Go AWAY !!! Please dont go to that hotel unless this andres manage it ! This is the attention you’ll get with that kind of people! Shame on you hampton hilton!

The young ladies at the desk were polite although they did not understand English. I did not like the attitude on the Manager and how the hotel was ran. I found hair in my breakfast twice, I ordered a hamburger that was not cooked was raw, and my last night the housekeeping did not change linen and i was eaten up by bedbugs. its four days later and im still itching.

Hotel makes you pay for parking even if your a guest. Also if you park after hours you have to call the hotel from your phone to buzz the security gate open (that’s coming in or out of the parking lot). They also will fill the parking lot even when there’s no more parking spots available. Me and wife had to wait for parking attendant to move several cars that they packed in for us to leave. Lastly hotel charges you to replace your towels and linens during housekeeping. Overall it was a clean and pleasant place to stay but be aware of charges that are usually offered as accommodations at other locations.

The experience was absolutely amazing! These people are so firefly, helpful and hospitable. They are great! They will go above and beyond to make your stay at the hotel a pleasant and confortable one. The breakfast was very good and the place is super clean! I will definitely stay there again!

Clean and a great friendly staff I don’t recommend having a car if you’re planning on staying in this hotel due to the fact the parking is paid and has limited hours and there is no specific assign guest parking sometimes it is full

It was a very pleasant stay and they even allowed me to extend my stay.

I didn't like that they charged hotel taxes. I am foreigner visiting the country and it seems that there is a local law from COTELCO and DIAN that they are not allowed to charge this taxes to foreigners. I think the management of the hotel they should review these local regulations for their own benefit and for the visitors

It was just ok

We stayed at the Hampton inn for a couple days before heading back hine. We came as a big group and we were all tired and hungry and at first check in went smooth but it quickly turned into a mess. We spent at least an hour checking in our group after difficulties with the staff, making photo copies of our passport which was new and uncomfortable, I think they could have been a bit more informative as to why instead of saying we need to see them period. Whatever, one of our groups extended there stay and prior to that we checked with the front staff to see if everything was set to go since we had made that reservation under my father’s name but were leaving the next morning at 2am so we wouldn’t be in contact with our 2 group of family until we get back home. To my disappointment when we get home and have phone service finally I have 20 missed calls, numerous text messages and as I’m shuffling to see what the emergency was it was due to the check in for that extended stay!! What? So my family was being wicked out because no reservations were found and hours spent trying to speak with someone who wasn’t looking at us like irresponsible people. My family heads to there rooms to pack and decide to give it another go but this time with a manager, this guy had no idea all this time what was even going on. He quickly took control of the situation and guess what?! He found my families reservation. He was the only one who apologized, the only one who cared to help.

Great stay

Great staff, good breakfast, and very clean and spacious room. I stayed for 9 days, and it was excellent. There are Carulla and restaurants nearby, and Crepes is at the down floor of the same building.

Cancellation

I asked at reception to cancel my Expedia reservation and they didn't know how to help me. They let me use the computer at the lobby to do it myself, which I was not able to. On most hotels bookings you are able to cancel in advance, I think they should enable their guest to do so.

Basic but great location

Good basic hotel, nothing wow but the location. Rooms were basic, breakfast as well. But the location is key and having Jr. crepes down stairs is money!

3 Star Hotel that Deserves 4

An excellent hotel in virtually every respect except the room the size. For a few dollars more, 4 or 5 star hotels are available. The condition of the hotel is new, and it is maintained exceptionally clean. The staff bent over backwards to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. The hot breakfast is worthy of honorable mention. The hotel is strategically located near El Penon, Parque de los Gatos, Iglesia Merced Archaeological museum and the Banco de Republica Gold Museum. A Crepes and Waffles co-located in the first floor of the hotel offers 10% discount to hotel guests. A Carulla Supermarkets is located less than 150 feet away. The predominant group of guests seem to be business people. Excellent WIFI throughout. The room has all the right amenities including iron and board, electronic safe and coffee maker. The bed is quite comfortable, and the room is appointed with colorful, albeit inexpensive furnishings.
