Really nice
Really nice hotel and really nice staff.
The Halekulani is fabulous. It is what a 5-star hotel is supposed to be. Well kept and great and friendly service from the moment you arrive until the minute you depart.
All around Great !!!
Halekulani remains the leading property in Honolulu by far. Unsurpassed calm, serenity, quality of services and beauty of the facilities. The restaurants at Halekulani - La Mer, Orchid are amazing and simply the best in that market in their categories.
The ultimate luxury experience
Our family trip was absolutely incredible. David Nakamura at Concierge took such great care of us and made our vacation extra special. Our celebration dinner at La Mer was five star all around and an experience we will never forget. Last but not least Kyle and team at the Pool Deck were so attentive and went above and beyond for us.
Iconic Hotel - Wonderful Stay
We celebrated our respective birthdays here and the Halekulani did not disappoint. From its quiet, understated elegance to its friendly and courteous staff, we felt so welcome and pampered. Despite the property being in Waikiki, it was away from the rowdy crowds yet accessible to everything by foot. I felt that everyone who worked there truly cared about the guests and did everything to make sure we were comfortable.
Serene and comfortable. Discerning service with warm hospitality.
Halekulani should be considered as one of the finest hotels in the world. Staff are trained to provide impeccable service to guests. Understated luxury & traveler conveniences abounded in my room. Exquisite ever changing views of the ocean, clouds, beach and Diamondhead. Room 1460. The design of the building and grounds lends a feeling of being away from the maddening crowds of Waikiki.
The room is good but the La Mer restaurant is terrible
It is a tranquil sanctuary in the busy Waikiki beach area and just steps away from all the shopping and dining in the area. Friendly and catering service throughout the hotel. Highly recommended.
We had the most beautiful small wedding with some of our closest friends and family at the Haute Terrace and the hotel staff made our experience truly magical and memorable.
Everything was wonderful great service. I would definitely stay here again.
Don’t miss out on the Halekulani!!
The Halekulani is an absolute gem. From the moment we stepped on property we were treated like valued guests. The hotel is beautiful and in a great Waikiki location. Such a welcoming atmosphere. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and always extremely helpful. The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials and creature comforts you would expect at it’s price point. Our only complaint would be the mattress was very firm and we prefer a softer mattress. The hotel may have different room/mattress options however. I had originally booked an ocean view room, upon check in we were told they had upgraded our room. We had a large walkout lanai with a fantastic view of the pool deck area and the beautiful pacific ocean. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. We will definitely be back!!
Everything is 5 out of 5 except for the pool
Elegant well serviced location in the heart of waikiki
First class in every way
Nope
Way too expensive for the level of service I received. I really had high hopes for this hotel but unfortunately was very disappointed. Rooms don’t have blackouts, and the wooden curtains they have do absolutely nothing to keep the sunlight out. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything happening outside. Staff and kind in general but things you have to ask for things over and over to get them. Restaurant staff were not nice nor professional. I would be very reluctant to go back to Halekulani.
The resort is in impeccable condition. The service and food at the restaurants and pool bar was amazing. Deedee from concierge was extremely helpful and nice.
Beautiful location. Best property we saw in Waikiki. The only negative is a relatively small beach with no chairs for hotel guests. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent Property! Safe and extremely clean, lovely area walkable to all the best restaurants and shopping! Definitely will be back.
After many years wishing to stay at the Halekulani Hotel it exceeded my expectations in every way. The guest rooms are absolutely superb, spacious and beautifully maintained. It is certainly up there as one of the best hotels we have stayed and you won’t be disappointed with your stay. Big shout out to the staff, attentive and most accommodating I have experienced.
I was disappointed with the gym
My new favorite hotel in the island
Very beautiful resort, very relaxing, beautiful view every morning. Will definitely stay here again!
Great property had an amazing time with family. Staff was friendly, house keeping was amazing. Perfect location, would recommend to anyone staying in Honolulu.
You won’t want your stay to end. Ever!!!
Absolutely fabulous hotel. Everything you could want to have or do on a relaxing vacation is available for you. Great restaurants, beautiful pool, excellent amenities, and very accommodating staff. Can’t wait to come back.
My wife and I stayed here for our 30th anniversary. It was worth the cost. The Halekulani is the best hotel in Hawaii.
Love the hotel, bad part nobody let us know there was going to be a strike with a lot of noise starting at 7am till 9pm on Sunday till we left, at least the first 3 days was beautiful, they did compensate 2 night after we complained
CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! POOL AREA IS NICE AND SERVICE IS TOP NOTCH. DINNER OPTIONS TOP NOTCH , SUNDAY BRUNCH OUT OF THIS WORLD. I CAN GO ON AND ON ABOUT HOW NICE OF A STAY AT THIS RESORT.
I have lived in Japan, and ten years in Europe, and have traveled extensively for decades. I have never stayed in a hotel so incredibly well managed as Halekulani! The Staff are beyond incredible, providing services like I've never experienced before. Absolutely immaculate facilities in perfectly maintained condition. Every possible convenience, to include a hi-tech toilet that is an experience in itself. THIS hotel is the standard to which others should aspire.
Beautiful property, amazing food, friendly staff, great service
Amazing and beautiful
My wife and I recently spent over a week at the Halekulani in Waikiki, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is perfect—quiet and serene, offering a peaceful escape in the heart of Waikiki. The staff were outstanding, always ready to assist with any request, which added to the overall comfort of our stay. One of the highlights for us was the Envoy Tesla experience. While it's a bit pricey, the convenience is unmatched. The valets were prompt in bringing the car out whenever we needed it, making it a seamless part of our vacation. Dining at Orchids was another highlight, especially the Sunday Brunch. I can't recommend it highly enough—definitely worth the price. If you're staying at the hotel, be sure to mention it when you reserve, as guests seem to receive better seating preferences. Our room offered a perfect retreat, especially in the evenings. After 5 PM, we loved opening the door to enjoy the live music being performed below—an ideal way to unwind. While staying at Halekulani isn't inexpensive, it’s an excellent choice if you're looking to indulge and treat yourself to a luxurious experience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.
No more
If i had a single complaint, it is that i felt teased by having the ocean and beach literally 20 feet away from the pool, but no direct access. Otherwise gorgeous and relaxing.
My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this safe and gorgeous hotel. The staff was friendly, helpful, and very attentive in all our interactions. No resort fees are appreciated. For the price of a single night, I do feel that breakfast SHOULD be included. We would stay there again.
Clean comfortable rooms. But its an old property and while it is more serene compared to nearby properties in the area, I wouldn’t seek this hotel out for a luxury resort experience in Hawaii.
Nice central location
Everything was great will definitely want to stay again
I love this hotel and plan to be back next at this time. Annette Webb
Excellent
Excellent service and location. Best hotel I’ve had the pleasure to stay in.
Excellent hotel services,we very happy and very enjoyed stayed beautiful hotel!
Beautiful property, great ocean views, great service, good food.
Clean, elegant rooms and bathrooms. Cleaning service was very good. Beautiful views of Waikiki beach and Diamond Head from our room on the 14th floor. Great location and many great dining and shopping options within walking distance. Live music every night was enjoyable but i would like to see it run beyond 10pm on Friday-Saturday nights. Not as good: The pool area is only good and not great. The pool attendant made us wait to be seated like a restaurant and that didn't seem necessary. The little beach area at the hotel is small/poor but more expansive parts of Waikiki Beach are a short walk away. Some boardwalk infrastructure at the beach behind Halekulani has not been maintained. When you are shelling out this kind of $$, the bar is very high.
We had a fantastic stay, everything was above expectations. Will be coming back again.
This is one of, if not THE best stay at a resort we’ve ever experienced. The service is seriously top notch. The hotel is clean, modern, cozy and beautiful. The rooms are elegant and best I’ve seen here in Hawaii. In a great location right on beach but slightly tucked away from all the crowds of people. We didn’t realize how much we loved that until we stayed in another hotel. We came here on our honeymoon for 5 nights and moved to another hotel for 3 more nights. We added the 3 nights somewhat last minute but moving from the Halekulani to the Modern by Hilton. We were absolutely spoiled by the Halekulani and felt our new hotel was dingy and so underwhelming. We ended up leaving and booking at the Alohilani. Step up but still doesn’t compare to the Halekulani.
no riff raff
Pool PARADICE
The staff was superb and friendly and rendered the most exquisite service. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again next time we are in Hawai’i. Aloha!
Great location and nice property. Beach access was easy. Pool and service at pool was exceptional.
Very beautiful views and property, central location but quiet
Halekulani was one of the best hotels we have stayed at, hands down. The grounds are picturesque, the location is perfect, the food and service was top of the line, and everyone was so friendly. We can’t wait to come back!
Good dinner in ORCHIDS.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and absolutely loved everything about it. The dining options on property were excellent and the staff/service was top notch making sure we had everything at all times. Would definitely recommend staying here.
We loved it. We will be back for sure!
Always a delight
Second time at Halekulani in past few months and I love the food, the service, the location, the music at the outdoor bar, the helpful staff and the beautiful facilities.
This is my worst hotel when I stayed in Hawaii
A Waikiki classic!
Not really a 5-star hotel. Service is mediocre. Pool is small and dinky.
Once you’ve stayed at Halekulani you won’t want to stay anywhere else else..It is a slice of heaven in Honolulu. The property is gorgeous, peaceful pristine, unparalleled service.
Our stay was incredible! Cannot wait to come back!
A truly classy, well-run meticulous hotel that anticipates every need. Attention to detail in everything. On-site food 5-star as well. An oasis in Waikiki. A pleasure to stay here.
Service excellent
Good
It was very relaxing and private just amazing all the way around
We are so glad we found this hotel
Beautiful property in the middle of downtown
Loved the unique set- up of the room. Everything was done with impeccable taste! Hotel staff could not have been more helpful and friendly!
Great experience
Simply the best!
Absolutely stunning. Really the only hotel to stay at in Hawaii thank you so much for a very remarkable 10 days.
Great Vacation Stay!
Love to stay here, staff is nice, hotel clean, food ok, view so nice
Great view
It's a very nice property with overall very good service - especially good service at the pool. The location can't be beat. It's super expensive - so just go into it realizing that everything costs more than it probably should. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view and balcony but I wish the bathroom was nicer - especially the shower.
Excellent
Beautiful hotel and great staff!
Excellent hotel but disappointing level of service especially by concierge desk. We travelled as a family and I wouldn’t recommend booking this hotel if travelling with children. We were given poor or incorrect information about activities in the area particularly over Halloween. Felt fobbed off by management after I gave feedback.
Excellent
Every aspect was wonderful. Housekeepers in the hallway addressed me by name, a level of service I have only seen in the best Asian hotels. And those housekeepers were fantastic, doing a thorough refresh of our room twice a day, while in other hotels you have to beg the front desk for new towels, and housekeeping doesn’t happen. The restaurants were delightful and the Halekulani Bakery across the street is superb. Could not ask for a nicer experience.
Things I love to do were accessible . This is our second visit as we were just there in September 2022
Great hotel! One of The Best!
Nice grounds as always, but staff a bit distracted and maybe we were unlucky with the rooms: had to be moved because of noise and then shower hot water did not work. No acknowledgment of the issues at check out. We may look elsewhere for next trip despite 5 stays at halekulani through the pandemic.
It’s not smelling well outside the parking building.
Already dreaming of coming back!
One of a kind experience! Lovely in every way!
The staff and the hotel itself was just pleasant all around. Thank you
If I could give this resort more that 5 stars, I would! The resort, staff, amenities, dining options were phenomenal. The staff were attentive and hospitable. This was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had!
This place is stunning. You won’t be disappointed
safe. quiet. Staff & service
Friendly and amazing staff, beautiful resort with many great eating options.
Service is great. Very airy space
Expensive but awesome
Staff was extremely helpful with everything we had. Beautiful property and beautiful room. Very nice would highly recommend and rate this 10/10 hotel.
All good
Sublime in every way imaginable. Service at a level never experienced before.
Best place to stay
Hotel and staff amazing. Would not stay anywhere else In Honolulu! Great location very quiet too
The pool was beautiful. I also loved the live music which was held outdoors every night giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the hotel grounds while sipping amazing cocktails.
Can't Wait to Return!
Everything about our experience was wonderful! We can't wait to return!
Excellent hotel. The staff works very hard to ensure enjoyable, relaxing vacation for all guests. The breakfast choices were excellent at both restaurants - House Without a Key (buffet) and Orchids.
