Prime location to visit the main sites in the area. Great service, comfortable and large rooms
Wonderful visit
Beautiful hotel with stylish rooms. Well located close to the cultural centre and the market. So much to see and do in walking distance. The hotel is plush and tasteful decorated. My only complaint was the ‘jacuzzi’ cave, meant to be a private space yet there is a camera watching your every move. I wonder how many people know that they are being watched….
convenient location
convenient location
Hands down best hotel when it comes to location. Its pricey but the service is top notch. Room are good but they lack lighting.
This hotel provides a truly memorable experience, all-around.
Location is excellent
Located right at the key sites of Hagia Sofia Grand Mosque, Sultanahmet Camii (Blue Mosque), Topkapi, making it wasy to get there before lines form. If you like walking, its easy walking distance to sites such as Grand Bazaaar, Spice Market, pedestrain bridge. Felt very safe walking in this area. Breakfasts were delicious and abundant. Also, the Sarnic Restaurant was really fun with the Turkish dancing in a beautiful Cistern, and good food. Book for 7:30 or so, as dancing starts at 9.
Perfect for walking
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is lovely. You can easily walk to the grand bazaar, the spice market, Hagia Sofia, the blue mosque, Topkapi palace, the cistern, and a lot of restaurants. The downside is taxis can’t drop you off at the hotel. The hotel will pick you up with a golf cart and bring you to a taxi stand. We had good weather and don’t have mobility issues so it wasn’t a problem for us.
I had the most amazing experience staying at this hotel. The staff went above and beyond as I was traveling solo. They made sure I felt safe and explained to me all the details about how to see the sights and even drove me in the golf cart to dinner late night and fetched me as I felt uncomfortable alone. The welcome at the reception was fabulous they were so warm and friendly Special mention to staff member Tolga who expedited my check out and handled everything like such a pro . I am blown away by this hospitality and lovely clean unique hotel. The mansions were exquisite. I stayed at the Rose mansion - the smell of roses as you enter the mansion was intoxicating and so so special . They offered a complimentary breakfast which I did a traditional Turkish one at the garden terrace . Top tier. Hugely in love with this city
This is an incredible property, and the location is unbeatable. Highly recommend.
Beautiful room and great location
Beautiful hotel/ Amazing service and staff
Great location. Beautiful rooms. Amazing service. Arrived at 2am. Had some issues connecting to wifi and someone came to our room to help. Anything we wanted someone was always available to assist. Highly recommend the massage. Environment is so peaceful and helps create a relaxing experience
There’s a lot to like about this hotel. The location in the tourist district is hard to beat. It’s so central and convenient. That is beaten however by the staff who are superb. Friendly , attentive and very helpful. The rooms are interesting, a good sized and not corporate at all. Only real downside is the set up - as some of the rooms are in separate buildings on a quite walking street there is far more noise than you get in a traditional hotel - people are literally walking right below your bedroom window. If that’s not a problem this hotel may well be for you
Our trip was great. Our concierge was excellent, made us feel very comfortable and at ease.
Steps from main attractions.
A piece of the Turkish history
Excellent staff and service. Close to major attractions. Safe and close to shopping.
From start to finish my stay with my granddaughter at Hagia Sofia Mansions was supported by a very warm and attentive staff. The accommodations were spacious, clean and very comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Room - Spacious and luxurious. The photos are accurate. It feels more like an upscale apartment than a hotel room. The bathroom was beautiful and modern. The whole unit received a lot of natural light. Hotel and Restaurant - The lobby is beautifully furnished, and the landscaping is beautiful, full of trees and bushes that emphasize the Mediterranean vibe. We stayed at the part that had the Sofia Garden restaurant. The food is delicious but expensive, and service is slow and surprisingly inexperienced. For breakfast, the Sofia Terrace serves a broad and delicious Turkish breakfast buffet. The live music was charming, a singer strumming a guitar, playing classic songs from around the world. It's worth getting a balcony room so you can hear it from your balcony. Spa - Reserve ahead for the cistern jacuzzi. We tried last minute but weren't able to get a spot. Service - Next level. The two desk people, Olga and Aren, made sure to make us welcome and comfortable. They were friendly with the kids as well, helping them feel welcome. There were also niceties, like welcome snacks that weren't packaged, but prepared, like a walnut in a fresh fig. Location - Walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, or Grand Bazaar. (Note that the walk is not so accessible, it's cobblestone hills.) It was also easy to see a whirling dervish show. We were also able to take the tram back to the cruise port. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Istanbul.
Ada at check in very friendly. Staff very catering and went above and beyond
Hagia Sophia hotel
Very good hotel, the best location and excellent staff
Would not stay here again. Staff was not particularly helpful and food was indifferent to say the least. Location is good for tourism in the old city. Bath tub leaked. Sometimes no hot water.
Very nicely located in the middle of all the attractions, within walking distance, makes you feel part of life in Istanbul!
The location of the hotel, while close to a few of the tourist attractions, is in a terrible location. Most importantly, taxis cannot drop you off at the hotel so you either have to coordinate with the hotel or just walk the cobble stone street. I had to wait for over 10 minutes before someone was available to show me to my room which was far from the check in areas. Everything around the hotel is so loud, you are constantly hawked at to buy this or that, eat here or there and the call to prayer woke us up @ 4am every day. it is not at all a chill atmosphere. There are so many other hotels that you can get to much easier and with less intensity around. The food at the restaurant is mediocre with prices that are a total rip off - $9 for an espresso?!!?!?! I will say that the staff was the best part of the hotel - very friendly and helpful - and the gym was great.
Excellent place!
Very helpful and attentive staff, excellent food, excellent location
Nice Ambience and very convenient location
Excellent hôtel
Excellent
Location 10/10 conveniently located close to most places of interest. Facilities 5/10 The hotel does not have an elevator so if the room is on the third floor it is extremely tiring, also there is no direct access from the street to the hotel so it is necessary to give prior notice for a golf cart to take you with your luggage to the facilities and in our case the air conditioning was faulty, although the maintenance staff came to check it and said it was working fine, the room was about 27 C, so it was impossible to sleep.
Great staff, excellent service, very nice location
We stayed in the Hagia Sophia Suite, located in one of the 17 mansions of this hotel, which features two garden restaurants and two lobbies. The hotel is conveniently located between Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and the Blue Mosque, and it’s within walking distance of a Bazaar. The spa is exceptional. We booked the Couple’s Romance Package, which included access to a private jacuzzi (pool), private hammam, and massage, all located in a historic building.
While expensive, the location is incredible and you will never stay anywhere like this. The spa is unbelievable with a hamam experience that feels like going back in time to the 5th century. Small things like electricity needed some updating (lights flickering and burnt out), maid opening door without knocking, stereo not working in room, smart TV not working in room (unable to cast and no streaming) are easily overlooked when you are living like a sultan's guest. When I asked the reception to fix the lights and ask maid not to disturb without knocking they were very responsive and even sent up a huge fruit and caney tower.
If youre looking for a nice convenient hotel bear all the main attractions like st Sophie, grand bazaar, spice bizarre and ocean this is the place to stay. The staff webt above and beyond to assist with me with all my questions and needs. 5 stars thank you
Amazing location!
Amazing hotel, staff were extremely helpful and Cem the duty manager was very accommodating and made sure our stay was excellent. Will definitely come back and a excellent place to stay.
Beautiful property. The rooms are on the smaller size but beautiful. The staff are very friendly and extremely thoughtful, I never gave them the details for my transportation and somehow they contacted the company and coordinated the details. I totally recommend the spa and the Turkish breakfast.
We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff is very responsive and efficient. Very conveniently located near the tram which can be used easily and is quite safe. We stayed in 2 different rooms: both were beautiful, quite large, surprisingly best coffee machine, very quiet and view on the Ayasofya. Walking distance to the Blue Mosque and steps from Topkapi palace (one of the highlights of our visit, advice is to buy the Harem visit ticket, it is well worth it. The hotel personnel noticed it was my birthday and delivered a birthday cake and decorated the bed, which was a nice surprise. I loved the shower with the traditional bathing bowl right by the modern shower. The AC worked, good water pressure and very comfortable beds. We would absolutely go back. The Hilton restaurant was not that great however: the terrace is lovely but the food average. If you want a really good meal, try Roca at Galataport, that was incredible.
Stay here!
Terrific stay. I would highly recommend this hotel for first time visitors to Istanbul. The location is outstanding. Our room was across the street from the Hagia Sofia and literally next door to the palace entrance. It is a short walk to the blue mosque, and walking distance to the grand bazaar. The room itself was lovely. We were lucky to have a distant sea view beyond the minarets of the Hagia Sofia. One thing I’d skip on my next visit is the hotel cistern. It was cool but better to save your time money and just go to a local hammam. Thanks to everyone at Hagia Sofia Mansions for making our first time visit to Istanbul so memorable!
Fabulous hotel in the heart of the city. Friendly, helpful staff.
Best hotel experience!!!
Staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful, courteous and made us feel at home. Property is beautifully appointed and maintained. Wonderful location near historical sights, restaurants and shopping.
Lovely hotel, rooms are clean and staff provide a professional service. Would stay again and highly recommend.
Great choice for short stays, highlighting that it is not accessible friendly and even for non-accessibility it is not the easiest when it comes to going around for shopping or just visiting the places (due to the hill and hard floor). The first room I stayed in was was super noisy and cold since the building is old and on an active street, but when I called the staff and sent real time feedback, they directly responded and moved me to a great room on the highest floor with nice views and quiet spaces, so big thank you to the service and staff there! Also it too hard to get transportation or taxi in or out the area, Uber will not respond due to the traffic and also the hotel will not allow cars around, so you have to walk out, order taxi from the street and pay 5X the price if not more to get anywhere! Last bit is about breakfast, again staff are amazing but there is limited variety in the buffet- which was ok for me as I had everything I like there.
Pretty property. Amazing bellhop service. A lot of stairs because it’s not just 1 building but a beautiful set up.
This is a great place to stay - very close to all the attractions and a beautiful park by the boardwalk. The staff is outstanding - incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The mansions are a bit further from the main lobby, but there’s a buggy (and the friendliest drivers) that will take you wherever you need to go around the property. The suite was well-decorated, clean and quiet; room service was very fast. The spa is worth visiting after a long day. If you need an elevator, I’d suggest speaking to someone before booking, our building didn’t have one, but perhaps the main building does. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay and will book again next time we visit the city.
Nice
It has been good
Rooms were excellent and staff extremely attentive.
Lovely, quiet, well maintained, amazing restaurant! My special thanks to the Gem Manager! Unforgettable beauty)
Superlative
Wonderful staff, great room, super comfy bed, beautiful bathroom, couldn't be in a more convenient location.
Great hotel
Absolutely loved our stay at the Hagia Sofia mansions. The staff is very friendly, polite and courteous. The property is walking distance from the major attractions and there are tons of dining places around. Loved their Turkish breakfast and amazing hospitality.
It is an absolutely fantastic experience! Location, cleanliness and kindness of staffs were super excellent.
Excellent for families who want to stay close to the attractions with their kids. The colonial rooms make you feel the historic vibe of Istanbul. Staff is friendly and helpful. We definitely will go back.
As part 2 of our journey, we returned weeks later, hoping that our issues would not be repeated. The staff bent over backward to ensure that our stay this time would be memorable. We had dinner at the affiliate restaurant and were pleased. We would return again.
unfortunately my sister and I had issues with lack of hot water. Mine improved - hers did not. Very convenient location, invaluable use of "buggy" to get to other areas of property. Good concierge assistance. Good offering of "included" breakfast. Enjoyed the bathroom set up.
Bad customer service!!! We email them before we arrive they never responded. (The reception said the email orbitz has on the hotel is wrong so don’t even waste your time emailing because no one will respond) We wanted someone to pick us up because the hotel is inside and we need to walk a lot to get to the reception of the hotel to check in. No one ever responded to us. We have to walk with all our luggage’s to get to reception and where exhausted. Once we arrive the guy at reception was rude and did not treat us well. Also, the food is not so good on the hotel and the staff is not nice. We book this hotel because of the pool they have an advertise but it is not included!!!! You have to pay a lot of money if you want to get in the pool. Terrible experience at the hotel I would have expected better from a Hilton but really bad service. Very disappointed.
Great stay in the middle of the old town, very walkable. Rooms are nicely decorated and spacious.
Hagia Sofia Mansions is a unique stay in Istanbul, literally adjoining Hagia Sofia and the Topkapi Palace, in historic buildings renovated to pristine condition by Hilton. Rooms are spacious and luxurious, with gorgeous traditional decor combined with all the modern amenities. The staff are all efficient and well trained. The cistern jacuzzi is a special treat, but you can take a Turkish bath at any of the nearby hamams for a third of the price of the hotel spa. A few caveats, this is not an accessible option for elderly or disabled travelers, as almost all rooms require stairs due to the age of the buildings. The immediate streets around Hagia Sofia are closed to traffic, so guests must walk to the taxi stand or use the hotel’s golf carts. Also, anyone visiting the old town of Istanbul needs to be comfortable with the many stray cats in the streets that do come in and out of restaurants and shops too. That said, this is the perfect choice for seeing the main tourist sites of the city.
We loved it !
Beautiful property, outstanding service and great location. Highly recommend ❤️
Everything ok, food excellent but cocktails were terrible and a bit pricey for what they are.
The location is excellent and the rooms are beautiful
Most beautiful place to come in Istanbul and love to be back in this hotel.
Amazing hotel in the perfect location in istanbul
Amazing hotel and such great staff. The hotel is in the perfect location and beautiful rooms I would highly recommend!
Great stay. Convenient location.
Just left the property highly recommend for anybody traveling looking for tourist attraction everything close by
Absolutely amazing experience here! Perfect location so close to everything. Loved it!
This could be one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Europe. Clear, Historic, and beautiful walkable area. I can't believe it is wall to wall with Topkapi and Ayasofia. Also, interior design is phenomenal.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Breakfast and room decor were exceptional. Only downside was the taxi they had arranged for us tried to rip us off, but we understand that is beyond the hotel’s control. Perhaps in future they can confirm the price with the driver before setting off. It is also not easy to contact the hotel as they don’t seem to list their direct email address and only channel seems to be the phone. We wanted to contact them about the taxi through email but couldn’t do it. We did it through Expedia’s messaging service, but have not received a reply.
Nice Beautiful please.,my family and I enjoyed it so much, I really recommended. 👍
Location Location Location
Excellent location, a few meters from Hagia Sophia, the only negative point is that it does not have an elevator
Such a perfect location. Staff excellent they celebrated my husband’s birthday throughout the day. Spa is one in a million restaurants divine
Cozy hotel in a very nice central location, close to all the main historical attractions. The room was spacious and clean and the staff very friendly. The only real negative note, from the pipes of the Bathroom came out stinking enough of sewage to make it difficult to stay in the room
The hotel has very nice rooms with comfortable bedding, great shower and large bathroom. It is located at the Hagia Sophia Mosque and just a five minute walk to the Blue Mosque, and is located in Sultanamet square. Location is absolutely perfect! There is a nice breakfast buffet. The staff is very friendly and helpful--they arranged transportation to and fro the airport, which is 45 minutes away. Our housekeeper was wonderful, making funny towel art every day, and refreshing the room. We are a family of 6, stayed in 3 rooms for 4 nights in June, and we were all very happy with everything.
Extremely polite, respectful and helpful staff in such a busy city. Location is central to everything and at walking distance. Rooms (mansions) are very pleasant and comfortable. Worth every penny spent and then some!
Great location and great service!
Spectacular hotel and service
check in needs an improvement. they do not charge deposit upon check in. if you check out and they realize that you used minibar, they will call and ask for an immediate payment. (1 juice) like they called our taxi driver to ask him to turnaround but we said no, they they ask me to give them my credit card over the phone, again i said no, thats my personal information. I personally had to demand an electronic invoice. total and complete inconvenience that could’ve been resolved with just charging a deposit upon check-in.
Amazing property right next to Hagia Sofia. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
It's a lovely hotel in an unmatchable location in Istanbul, between the Blue Mosque and the Ayasofia, and within easy reach of the key places to visit in Sultanahmet. As well as the excellent service and accommodation, the opportunity to book a swim in a 1500-year old cistern made this an unbeatable and memorable stay. Not including breakfast within the cost (for an expedia booking at least) would be my only very small criticism, but it meant the opportunity to find excellent breakfast places nearby.
The staff are exceptional in particular Sara and Ella at check in and Yusuf ( conceiriage) and Yunus E service at breakfast . All other staff also made our stay superb
Excellent service, in heart of old Constantinople, spa ,breakfast buffet , restaurants, thank you tsira, Atahan,Suleyman, Muharren and Olga for everything! A quiet oasis next to Hagia Sofia , Grand Bazaar , safe and walkable.
You will not find a nicer place in all of Istanbul.
The property is dream. Since it is part of the historical area of Istanbul staying here was like being in an living museum. The staff made it a place we want to go back as soon as possible. All so warm and helpful.
The best location, spectacular service, spacious room
it's ok
staff at this hotel made our stay very pleasant. This added to the location of the hotel (just behind the Hagia Sophia, a narrow street separates the hotel from the mosque), without a doubt it was the best decision to stay here. The “mansions” are just beautiful! Walking distance from major POIs, restaurants and transportation
The week I spent in Istanbul at the Mansions was fantastic. From start to finish, a great experience. Their location made it very convenient to visit many of the city's landmarks on foot. The staff, including Fatih at the front desk and Ali Can in the Garden Restaurant, went above and beyond to make my time in Istanbul both enjoyable and effortless.
Location was perfect, the room was excellent (loved the bathroom), the breakfast was delicious, jacuzzi located in a 1500-year-old cistern was amazing. But there were a few things that made me regret I ever made a reservation at this hotel. I just wrote a review on another hotel where I was praising courteous and super helpful concierge staff, well… this will be an opposite. I was sincerely appalled at the arrogant behavior of some of the concierge staff representatives, unfortunately didn’t catch those guys names. Arranging for an airport transfer and transfer itself was quite frustrating experience. No response to the emails sent. I phoned the hotel, was transferred a few times from one person to another every time explaining the situation (really tiring) and finally ended up with a very arrogant guy who did arrange for a transfer after all but so unprofessionally: no info was provided whatsoever on how that transfer is supposed to happen, what sign to look for at the airport. And the cost for that - 100 euros: for running around the airport, for trying to figure out where to find that booked transfer, for a rude driver who is late for a pickup? FYI: hotel next door does transfers for 50 euros. The guy in a golf cart who was helping with transfers between hotel location, and such - was a treasure though, very fast, efficient, helpful. Those snobby concierge people should really learn from him how to treat the guests.
Great hotel, excellent service. Our concierge AJ was the best
Fantastic location. Outdoor sitting area was great
This hotel sits right next to the Hagia Sofia so there are lots of people traffic that get noisy during the day.
Excellent in every aspect.
Amazing amazing amazing hotel. Loved our stay, we will definitely be back in 2023. Location, staff, facilities, amenities and the friendly cannot be faulted. A very big thank you to everyone for making our stay a superb one. A huge shout out to our buggy drivers and house keeping staff, you were all fantastic. Azragül, Sara, Ela and Zelal thank you for your beautiful smiles. We look forward to 2023.
Great Stay!
We stayed only 2 days in Istanbul and we.really wish would.vould.of stayed longer. The Hotel was perfect, it had charm and was located right next to the Sofia Hagia. The staff were super friendly and we had a hiccup on on reservation which was our fault and they took care of it. I would highly recommend this hotel and Istanbul.
Beautiful property great location
Exelent
Very good customer service and excellent hotel location
In the heart of Istanbul
The hotel is very lively, it unfolds over one whole street in different buildings in the heart of the historic quarter, adjacent to Hagya Sofia and a short walk from the basilica Cistern, the blue mosque, the Topkapi Palace and pretty much close to what a first time tourist wants to see. Staff is friendly and personable, rooms spacious, clean and lovely, in short a great venue for the first time in Istanbul.
