Quick visit to Hermosa. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Probably the best shower I have used at a hotel.

Just a fantastic experience all around. Hermosa beach is incredible. People were friendly, it was so clean and safe.

The hotel itself is beautiful, it is also very close walk to the beach, the pier and restaurants. There is a beach market right next door which is great for any last minute things you need. The staff including the front desk and the MANAGER were not great. They would not accommodate a benefit that they promised/promoted even after showing proof that it was tied to my reservation. It was more of a sorry, can't help attitude rather then let me see what I can do approach. The walls were also fairly thin so everytime people walked around above it us it sounded like they were coming through the floor. It was a new hotel so amenities and overall vibe was great, just a few things that they could improve on.

Very helpful staff, clean hotel, basic breakfast- yougurt, fruit, bagels, muffins,cereal,coffee. No complaints would definitely stay here again.

It was a great place. Extremely clean. Staff were kind, polite, helpful. Rooms were clean. Bathroom was clean and appeared brand new. The only knock was that the Tesla charger didn’t work, but there are chargers at Vons which is less than a mile away. Great place and excellent location.

Checking into this hotel was like an SNL skit...

This is the newest hotel in the area, close to the beach, so it was very clean. Parking was easy, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. However, this was the WORST check in experience and Ive stayed in 1 star hotels in very small cities. The person working the front desk should not be in hospitality, extremely unhelpful, rude and lacked average customer service skills. My stay was nonrefundable and the hotel is pricey, if that wasn't the case, I would have walked out and gone somewhere else because of her unfriendly nature and "could careless" attitude. Life is stressful enough, checking into a hotel for vacation should not be.

We loved the location of the hotel and the staff was amazing!. Attentive and quick to provide what we needed for a comfortable stay.

The property was clean, rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The location was perfect as it was a block to the beach and two blocks to Hermosa Pier Restaurants and Shops. Highly recommend!

Beautiful

Very quite , calming building. Feels like a spa atmosphere. Excellent location. The staff was very pleasant. The hotel made the vacation a truly relaxing beach get away.

Good enough

we came into town for an event and needed somewhere to stay the night after party. It was perfect for what we needed, but definitely not a vacation spot. It was clean enough but HOT. It served it’s purpose well.

This boutique hotel was perfect for our visit to Hermosa Beach. It was close to the beach yet in a more quiet area of Hermosa. They were very accommodating and friendly!

This was our first time staying the night & I definitely recommend it. The staff were very friendly & courteous.

A little hotel in a very good area. The hotel is awesome, and the location cannot be better. Staff is the best. In my case there where two bad notes, one pillowcase had a very nasty stain, they took care of it, but it shouldn't be there... And breakfast is more like a little snack. But as I said, the pros of the place and the staff overwrote those issues.

Cool beach vibes

This hotel was awesome. Just one block away from the beach & pier. The hotel was super cool and the rooms were very nice, and spacious.

Friendly and responsive staff. Clean room. Lighting in room is rather bright. Smoke detector "low battery" chirping began at about 5 AM, had to address. Overall good place to stay!

Very comfortable and stylish. Amazing outdoor patio on the 2nd floor. Each room has a substantial balcony. Easy parking, lovely staff. Highly recommend.

Excellent!! I highly recommend this property. The male manager is top level - very friendly and helpful. Beautiful location, very clean, great gym & good breakfast. Love the assortment of beverages in rooms. The lobby could be a little tidier, but small detail. Great place!!

Tyrone was a friendly and welcoming front desk representative who helped us navigate the area. We loved the location and ability to walk to everything we needed to during our stay.

Disappointing experience

The hotel smelled nice upon arrival. It’s on a busy corner of downtown area. They added a lot of extra fees plus parking. Our room smelled horrible (dampness, old, dead animal etc not sure what). We did not have an alternative on the same floor. For $350 we expected to see the ocean (1 block away) we saw instead an alley with old buildings. The water in the shower was barely lukewarm it was very upsetting to find out no hot water when you’re in the shower. Very disappointing experience.

We really enjoyed the room, location & staff at the front desk. Unfortunately the cleaning staff only made one of our beds & didn’t remove the trash from our room.

Good location and close to beach and restaurants. We got there early and they were able to give us an early check in. Only complaint is we never got our room cleaned while we were there. We ran out of tissue and amenities. We even left our clean our room sign on the door. They provided bottle water and a basic breakfast.

I stay here all the time. I love the staff and the hotel.

My wife and I stayed for two nights visiting our daughter at LMU. We love Hermosa beach area and H2O did not disappoint! Front desk staff was excellent! Easy to park and one of the cheapest on site parking around. The room was fresh with a sunny balcony overlooking the main area of Hermosa. We will definitely be back!!

Hotel is optimally located to the Hermosa Beach Pier and its bars and restaurants. 1 block from the strand for walking, biking and skateboarding. Convenience store, Starbucks and restaurants less than 2 minute walk. Best location.

Shower had no adjustment on shower head. No hold bars for safely moving in and out. Limited space for shower supplies. Bathroom lights turn on automatically when entering when I'd prefer no light unless I elect to turn on.

Big shout out to Tyrone at the front desk for going above and beyond in every way. This is a great little boutique hotel in a great location for beach, breakfast joints, biking, dining, bars, everything! Get yourself down to Hermosa.

Location was amazing! Staff was friendly and attentive! Beds was plush and very comfortable!

My issue is with Expedia more than the Hotel H2O Hermosa. I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights 6 months in advance only to arrive on the day with nothing reserved- thanks Expedia! Luckily the hotel had 2 rooms for the first night but we were on our own for the second night and had to find another hotel. They advertise a continental breakfast which equates to gas station pastries, granola bars and cereal with no milk. The staff were sweet though, but the hotel is a disappointment. A positive is that it’s really close to the beach but there are a lot of other hotels close by to chose from.

I was shown to a room that hadn’t been made up. A do not disturb sign was hanging from the door. The next room I was shown had long, dark hairs in the bed as well as stained sheets. When I brought this up at the front desk I was told house keeping had left for the day. After being shown 2 dirty rooms and no house keeping on property I decided to leave and I am still fighting to get my money back for the 3 nights I booked. I have never experienced such awful service before.

Staff and room were outstanding- super kind and professional! One block from beach and minutes to shopping, entertainment and food! Sheets and towels were ultra cozy.

I would not hesitate to stay here again. Everything about this hotel was perfect from check in to check out. Tyrone at the front desk went above and beyond in giving us tips and information about the area and the room and bed was very comfortable and had all the amenities you'd want.

The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was is a block from the beach with a variety of restaurants located blocks from from the hotel. A must stay if you visit Hermosa Beach!

Modern hotel with great location near restaurants, beach and pier. Comfortable bed. Updated clean room and bathroom. Could have used caffeinated Nespresso instead of all decaf. Also, room had no balcony or window opening provision. Other than that, nice place.

Best time ever

Very cleaned and Great staff service from check-in to requesting ice. Wound definitely come back here again. One of the best hotel i stayed in so far, love the way the lobby is clean and smells very good. Beds were very comfortable the rooms very clean.

The location was perfect and having on site parking was a great surprise. The room was very clean and the balcony was a bonus. The Nespresso machine was a wonderful surprise. We had to ask for extra towels and the cream and sugar for coffee was not stocked. Overall it was a perfect room for our much needed getaway.

Great location and accommodations! Stayed here a night before leaving from LAX. Just what we were looking for. Clean, family friendly hotel in a great location. Close to the beach, walking distances to the pier with multiple restaurants and shops. Easy parking in covered garage. Served free coffee and grab and go breakfast.

Problems with water

Issues with water temperature. One morning the shower water was scalding hot at its lowest setting. The next morning there was no hot water at all. Shower faucets do not have a separate thermostat controller, it’s a single valve. We alerted front desk personnel, but it took a few hours to get the maintenance issue resolved. It was too late at that point. Otherwise, a nice property. Breakfast was a brown bag of sugary packaged muffins and juice, not good.

Perfect place to walk to Hermosa pier and all the restraunts . The hotel was very clean and new very impressed and I’m from Vegas we know a good hotel! The staff was very accommodating I couldn’t figure out how to work the coffee maker but Starbucks is right next door so it was perfect! I will be back!

We got there hr before checkin and got what seemed to be worst view room with view of dumpster but they said no other rooms were availnot sure if bc booked with 3rd party but was frustrating..anyway we can get discount since we paid lot to just get ugly dumster view?

The property was new & clean. The entire staff from the Manager to the front desk & housekeeping were amazing. Very attentive & friendly! Lobby Wine bar is a nice amenity to have. The roof top lounge was nice though I wish there was service available though there could be staffing shortages & covid concerns. Thank you H2O for a great stay we will definitely book again when visiting Hermosa Beach!

Tyronne was amazing during our check in. The hotel is conveniently located and close and walkable to the beach, the pier and tons of restaurant, bars and shopping. Very clean. Minor things, I didn't have a bathmat and only 1 roll of toilet paper on the toilet paper hanger and not an extra roll or new one. VERY minor and just asked housekeeping for them while they were in the hallway. Other than that, our stay was great!

The hotel was clean and looked brand new. The staff was polite and very helpful. I had booked through orbitz a double queen room though upon arrival our room was a king junior suite and we were told double queen rooms were sold out. We were offered two king rooms but ultimately made the king room work. The staff was very gracious and accommodating.
