Such a lovely property having 30 million spent on it. Staff were amazing. Breakfast really has everything and walking to the old town is just across the park.

Great hotel in Riga

Nicely located away from the noise but 10 min walk away from the old town. Love the spa and the jr suite was an excellent size and super quiet. Staff were very helpful but, like most in Riga, not super warm. Only downside is there are not any restaurants super close if you want to eat outside the hotel. The food at the restaurant was really good though. If we came back, we’d definitely stay here again.

Great value for money and staff were very friendly. Perfectly located for the old town and shopping. Room was very comfortable with everything we needed and the use of the spa after a day around town was a great bonus.

Fantastic breakfast buffet spread, helpful and courteous staff, very comfortable room with amenities, large bathroom with powerful shower, very good adjustable heating. Highly recommended.

All staff members were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. Restaurant food is great and cocktails were fab. Facilities are very good, spa is really lovely and the rooms are very well thought out. Decoration and cleanliness is wonderful throughout. Excellent location, close to everything. Very nice, interesting decor. Breakfast is great and plentiful. The room was extremely hot when we arrived, 78F. The ac did nothing to cool it down, and we had to sleep with the windows open. The area is very busy so we did not have a restful sleep. TV kept turning off and had to be reset continuously.

The Hotel is located opposite a park which was a great way to start the day walking though on the way to the Old Town. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were comfortable and quiet.

Great location just outside of old town. Excellent breakfast. Spa is great but gets crowded and lots of Kids on weekends.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Poem Riga for one week. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with the utmost care and attention, very professional staff . The room was a little bit small and not view but beautifully decorated, and immaculately clean. Very good breakfast Nice spa

Very nice hotel. Staff was decent. The beds are as hard as cement, not comfortable at all after a couple of days.

The spa facilities were excellent, only disappointment was that we weren’t allowed to use the facilities after check out and the heated beds weren’t working. Room was excellent and a great location!

A beautiful period hotel in a perfect position for walking both the Old Town and Art Nouveau areas of Riga.

Nice hotel but noisy

Overall we had a good stay, the service was great and the staff very helpful, however the airvents not only transfer air but also all the noise from the next door room. We had a family with a small child as neighbors and were woken up by the child crying. Wonderful spa though!

Lovely hotel, ideally placed in the city for either side of the old town. Great staff. The spa is a little small but the sauna and ice bucket are great!!

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast buffet, nice spa, great location on beautiful park right next to Old Town. Unfortunately, my bath drain was clogged when I arrived and I had to get it fixed on three separate occasions during my five-night stay. While response from staff was immediate, they did not seem particularly concerned when i approached front desk staff the final time and told them this had already happened already two times prior. Overall, nice stay, but 5 stars is a bit generous.

Very welcoming staff, but the rooms, facilities and breakfast didn't feel like 5 star hotel. We have stayed in many other 3-4 star hotels in the same area for half the cost that felt more like 5 star hotels.

Hotel was spotless, great location and very quiet area

Excellent hotel near the old town & everything within walking distance. Was here over new year. Disappointed that the bar was closed by 12.30 on New Year’s Eve. Breakfast was excellent but the plates were cold everything you would want for breakfast was there. Spa was excellent first day was so busy so we decided to go after breakfast about 9 am & in the evening about 8 was quiet. & more manageable a lot of kids in during the day. Will definitely go back here.

New Years Break

A very comfortable stay at the Grand Poet, the staff were exceptional and very accommodating. We went mainly for the Spa area, which was very busy (even with booking), but nevertheless we enjoyed the experience.

Hotel was amazing. Huge selection at breakfast. The spa and gym facilities were great. Room and bathroom were a good size for two people.

We had a relaxing stay at this cozy and charming hotel with polite staff and within walking distance to the all great things in Riga. We had a minor issue with the hotel that was an honest mistake and they apologised, took care of us and have earned our future business. We hope your stay was as good as ours.

Excelent breakfast and good location close to city centre. Spa was ok,but we expected much more for 5* hotel. Small spa area, one small jacuzzi however closing time of the spa was till 10pm what we appreciated.

Gorgeous hotel. Well located near the centre and the old town. Everything is beautifully designed.

Great location and near the park, freedom monument, old town etc touristy area. Walkable distance to most of the attractions and you dont need to do do taxi. Friendly staff. Great new rooms. Awesome buffet breakfast. Highly recommended hotel. Glad I chose this place. Definitely stay here for future travels to Riga.

It was such a treat to stay at The Grand Poet Hotel. The decor was amazing, the breakfast was outstanding, and we enjoyed making use of the spa too. Our room was comfortable and we loved the style! The location was perfect for us, just on the edge of the old town but also close to the art gallery, and parks just on the doorstep. The staff looked after us very well too. Thank you.

This hotel was amazing. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The room so stylish. The reception were very helpful. The breakfast was delicious and came with champagne. Located right outside the old town by a beautiful park. The spa is included and has a pool, jacuzzi, and different saunas. The cocktail at the restaurant was awesome. Really enjoyed my stay here as a female solo traveler.

A few days in Riga with friends and the hotel was the perfect bare for us all. The accommodation, food and service were all excellent. Will be coming again!

Wonderful Boutique w/ spa

Excellent location for sights and restaurants. Boutique located in 19th centrury classic building, 5 stories. Relaxing spa and delicious breakfast. Stylish rooms.

The room I had was very fark it was so far away from the lifts and the windows where opposite a wall with windows of other rooms so I had to keep the curtains closed The spa was full at the time I had booked it loads of kids there should be a smaller amount of people in the spa at least have a cut off there’s nowhere to put your stuff and some normal loungers would be nice to lie and relax on.

Nice hotel in a great location. The spa is lovely. Breakfast choice was very good and staff were friendly. We paid for a superior room and whilst it was large and very comfy we were disappointed it was dark and the windows looked into an inner courtyard with made opening the curtains in inviting. I was also disappointed that my gold status with hotels.com was not communicated to the hotel. I did enquire once I went to my room and saw it was dark but they said they would have to enquire the next day. I was only staying two nights so it wasn’t worth changing rooms for one night

Lovely 5 star hotel - my first experience of one. Spa was better than expected with lots of facilities and a gym. Beds seemed fine - I am a fussy sleeper but my partner slept fine and he is generally the better person to judge as I am super fussy. Nice deep bath, good room temperature, blackout curtain, lovely decor, varied breakfast with Prosecco, coffee, fresh ( not watered down!) juice, water etc. shampoo, conditioner body wash lotion etc. my only gripe would be the bathroom blind - when pulled down you can see age / humidity related off colour marks in the folds, this didn’t bother me though. Would absolutely stay here again. 5-10 mins walk into the old town and new area, and every attraction / service needed is in walking distance.

Cannot find fault with this hotel or its excellent staff. Superb in every way.

Property was simply wonderful. We approached it from the park and the lighting looked so welcome and inviting against the snowy backdrop. When we arrived there was a warm welcome and our room although 'standard' had everything you could wish for including slippers and a robe and complimentary water. The spa was welcome following the -12 we had experienced outside! Would stay here again.

A tremendous hotel in a fantastic location to access all you need in Riga! The staff were absolutely wonderful and very accommodating for English speakers. I had no issues with my room, very comfy and absolutely loved the idea of 5€ off if you choose the green choice on your door. That's certainly a good incentive for guests. One of the best bathrooms in a hotel I've been to as well.

Wonderful location beside a park separating the old town and the art nouveau area. Alas the shower stream was a mere trickle which meant getting a shower was challenging.

Pool and spa are great, breakfast has plenty of everything, room was great, high ceilings, very comfortable bed.

Stayed at the Grand Poet whilst visiting Riga for a wedding. Great location, lovely room and facilities. Had a great massage in the spa and a great meal in the SNOB restaurant. Would stay again if I come back to Riga.

My wife and I enjoyed a great stay in Riga's Grand Poet Hotel. The friendly, knowledgeable staff and superb location served as highlights. We had a big room with a fine bed. Overall, great value.

Hotel is lovely, room was decent, food was lovely. The only downside was the spa receptionist needs to be trained to more human. Came across very cold, my antigen test expired 1hour ago and she said sorry you won’t be admitted due to Covid. I was admitted to the hotel and dining that evening and the breakfast the next morning. I believe she was on a power drive and showing authority. I stayed at the Kempinksi hotel few blocks away and their service, seamless and amazing especially at the spa. Note to self lesson learnt not to go to the spa of Poet Hotel. Spa itself was empty yet she made a big issue

Breakfast was not the same as before

The Hotel was nice. Compare to previous visit the only point that was not the same was the quality and diversity of breakfast table. In the past the selection was much more and made this hotel different from all the other hotels I have visited in Riga. However, now the selection was much more limited. Most probably because of Covid-19. However, it has resulted in making the hotel less competitive when you compare it with other hotels that are cheaper in Riga.

Everything is fine. But a price not equal to quality. There is no parking either you need to pay for it 25€
