4 star hotel with 5 star frontend

Room temperature control was awful. Apparently all hotel is on heat, and no matter what you set on thermostat you will get 22-25 degree- way to hot to sleep at night. Room has No windows to open ( that is expected for high tower) - ventilation is very poor in the room. Very stuffy in the room. Restaurant is excellent but waiters crew is not. They have one- two bottles of sparkling wine -enough for several guests but refuse to get more when asked. Five star hotel?!!! Really? Over a bottle of wine?) Oh!, bedding- not good. A lot of synthetics, feels cheap and uncomfortable. Parking is expensive compared to parking just outside the building across the street. Just park there - dont bother with hotels’s one. Really it is 4 star hotel with 5 start frontend

What a beautiful hotel and oh my god what a beautiful city and totally walkable from this hotel. The beds were soooo comfy and the reception staff were so helpful could not thank them enough

Great location, classy hotel

Friendly staff especially Misa (there were 2) They hooked us up short notice for private driver to Lake Bled, and it was on All Saints Day holiday. Only negatives.... the slipperest shower i have EVER witnessed. And 2) felt so dirty for bar tender Friday night. He was the ONLY staff there and there must have been 40 people sitting eating and drinking. He took orders waited, made drinks and took money. I guess due to holiday, but SOMEONE should have helped him. Many were frustrated Amazing free buffet!!!

The staff and front reception, especially Marsa and the daytime reception, were extremely helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we return.

The gals at the front desk were AWESOME!!! They were a great help checking in, giving us dinner advice, and help us with all our questions.

Ok but could be so much better

Room was good being clean, comfortable and well equipped. Although on 15th floor access was good with excellent lift access. Hotel could use more staff to reduce waiting time at Reception, improve availability of breakfast items and simply better service in the Cafe Plaza - poor chap run off his feet and not much support from colleagues.

Not even 4 star

This hotel staff were not friendly and the free airport transfer that I saw when booking this supposed 5 star hotel was refused and I was told to do it thru hotels.com which made no sense. Then we were quoted 12 euros for 2 people and then 12 euros each when a different person showed up. We said that they should honor the 12 and they refused. The room was okay but the shower was a lame hand held only and there was no coffee or tea in the room. A complete disappointment all around.

Needs more than one waiter in the bar

We arrived at the hotel at 9.55pm and I asked if we could order food, we were told the kitchen was closed. It was a terrible evening with torrential rain and we had to go out to find somewhere to eat when we had no idea of the area. I feel for a 5 star hotel there should be food available later than 10pm. When we arrived back about an hour later we went in the bar for a drink only to find tables still covered with used plates and glasses, again not something I would expect in a 5 star hotel. Our safe did not work and took 2 days to get someone to come to it and 2 visits to reception. The positives however are that the hotel is in a great position. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The buffet breakfast was good. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean.

How can a hotel like this not have overhead showers?

Quiet and good location for rail station, shopping, dining. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful!!

Enjoyable stay, ticked most of the boxes.

Room was great, location good, breakfast great choice. My main gripe was the cost of parking in addition to an already expensive room rate. We parked at the station which cost €20 for two nights instead of the €70 we would have at to pay to park in the hotel garage. The hotel is well situated for all the sights of the old town and it was an enjoyable stay which ticked most of the boxes.

Excellent location for the train/bus station and only a short walk to the old town. Suite was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of options. Downside was the incredibly loud music which blasted throughout the hotel and even out in the street. Totally unnecessary as you could hardly talk at breakfast.

Good stay. Beds very comfortable. Shower good but leaked at the bottom. Staff friendly. Breakfast below average. Tepid food and coffee was a nightmare to get to work the machines and everything seemed to have sugar! On the bright side, the croissants were lovely.

Front desk staff were very helpful and professional, especially Ms Angela.

Excellent Hotel

This hotel is excellent. The website doesn't sell it as great as it is. It's very central, has parking, beautiful rooms, excellent breakfast. It has doors that don't slam and you cannot hear others on the corridor - AMAZING!!!

The hotel is in a great location as the old town and park are within walkable distance. The rooms are really quiet so only the aircon can be heard. The staff were friendly and happy to help. Unfortunately the cleaning was quite up to the standard you expect with a 5 star hotel as there was a lot of dust visible around the hotel. The breakfast was also a let down. There was a very large selection but the sausages were like hot dogs, there were no beans or fried eggs and the hash browns didn’t taste right. The other foods were nice and fresh but if you wanted hot food it was limited as it didn’t taste great.

Was a good stay but the room service night menu is a nightmare. Both nights I had an order taken only for it not to turn up with the kitchen apparently going home!! For 5 stars you need to sort out 24 hr room service

Luxe in Ljubljana

What a fantastic hotel! It was a pleasure staying there--in every way. Every employee was friendly and helpful. The room was aesthetically appealing. The bar was open and bright and a fun place to watch a football match. It is perfectly located near the train station and a short walk to the old town. We almost don't want anyone to know about it!

Amazing hotel

I've checked previous reviews before booking and I'm regretting it very much now. Hotel is newish, modernish, good location, BUT WHAT IN THE WORLD is going on with the staff of this hotel!? Am I correct to assume Slovenians are rude in general!? Experienced it even outside the hotel. If they aren’t foreign they are NOT friendly at all. They do have lots of foreign workers. If you don't ask for attention they aren't seeing/acknowledging you at all. Room service order took almost two hours. No call, no explanation, no apology! And they charged 10€ for this room “service”! Restaurant prices are higher than the most decent American and even European restaurants, yet the food, steak/meat in particular is not even close to American quality. We've had filet mignon and it was very chewy, greasy(yes, Filet mignon greasy!), smothered in a sauce, and it didn't taste or smell good at all. Their breakfast buffet is very nice and extensive and should have something for everyone but their coffee machines charge you for better coffees. the coffees at this hotel are 4-6€! TVs in their rooms have their remotes set to a certain volume. We don’t have hearing problems but can't hear it at all, and especially if the AC is on. Talking about the AC, temps can’t get below 23C/73F. Perhaps that's limited/preset as well!? Nice views if not facing construction site/noise. If you're expecting good service and getting what you paid for; book elsewhere; This ain't the place you'll get what you paid for.

Very nice accommodations and views. Great breakfast. Loved being on the higher floors. Only issue I had was room service took a while and there wasn’t an ETA, which hindered our planning.

Good location, clean and modern. However there is no swimming pool and this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel! Also there is no towel or water in the gym.

Perfect stay

Terrific Stay In A Wonderful Area To Explore

Comfortable, spacious, gorgeous, very helpful staff. With Ljubljana being as compact as it is, not much of a walk to anything including the Union Beer tour -- which is in a different direction than the Old Town. The view from the 19th is pretty great, although facing a direction other than east would have been even better. I feel like I got a pretty terrific deal here, so I can't rate them highly enough.

Brilliant hotel

Really great hotel. Centrally located. The staff were Brilliant 😊 highly recommended. Really enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Slovenian red wine was wonderful. Slovenia beat Portugal 2-0. Although I was disappointed with the result and performance of my national team Portugal this hotel did give me lots of comfort after the game.

An absolute must.

The hotel was very central and just moment away from the river. It was ultra modern boasting very nicely finished reception, restaurants and rooms. Our room was on the 18th floor overlooking the city Centre with the castle in the middle. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast buffet was incredible.

Location, room or service - they got it all!

This hotel and staff has cracked customer service. From a complimentary upgrade, late check out and lavish buffet breakfast, the location with close accessibility to stations and center makes it a perfect choice. Thanks to Matt who went out of the way to make the experience a great one.

The staff was very helpful and hospitable. They prepared bags with morning snacks since we had an early morning flight. I definitely recommend this hotel.
