Property showing some room provided some other room

For what they charged the room did not have proper amenities and standard. There was not any hand towel and only big bath towels and three times asked them also and never brought it. Water temp was luke warm and they never attended to this. For what they charged in Mysuru and same I paid in Marriott chains even in Bangalore for a very good level of service and standard this is a piece of junk. Perhaps I will never look at thismplace again!

This experience was extremely disappointing. I paid a high price per night for a deluxe room with two twin beds, but instead, I was given a single-bed room. This is completely unacceptable and not what I paid for. I raised the issue with the staff and asked for a full refund, as they failed to provide the service I booked and paid for. If they do not refund me in full, I will have no choice but to file a formal complaint with the police. Such poor service and lack of accountability should not be tolerated.

Good hotel, can improve service.

Music in dining area was too loud. Similar to earlier trip. They take 10-20 min to reduce the volume. The phone for external call kept silent. Difficult to contact if outside

Hotel was clean and service excellent. The breakfast though could hv had more choices. Not very happy with thd menu.

Good hotel; excellent location

The location of this hotel is excellent which is why we chose to stay here again. But the hotel itself was just OK. We’ve stayed here in the past and it appeared that the standard had gone down a bit.

Sad that the restaurant no longer has a filtered coffee at breakfast. Staff not as friendly about visit 2 years ago.

They billed me automatically without my knowledge at 6 AM using the card on the system. Generally this does not happen. They can take the payment at checkin instead of without my presence on the morning of check out.

Mixed experience. The rooms were nice with very comfortable beds and nice linen and pillows. Breakfast experience was poor. In general, staff were nice, warm and friendly but need better training in hospoitality.

The property and the stay was good. Health faucet has to be changed.

The hotel is nice but the food can be improved. Also the responsiveness of the staff seems to be less which can also be improved. Rest all other things are great.

I felt the photos used in marketing the property do not reflect the reality.

We had made reservations for 2 rooms on Expedia. Each room had their individual confirmation numbers by the hotel. But they said they could only give us one room.

expensive for what it offers

cramped quarters for a $120 (10,000 Rs) stay. Food was not bad but not stellar either.

The staff was excellent. They should hve a connsier at the desk to help guests with brouchers to help with their visit.

Breakfast buffet is wide ranging, staff are very accommodating and helpful. Dinner service too is excellent, nothing is ever too much for the staff. Gym, pool and games facilities were really lovely and we made use of all. Rooms could be cleaner in my opinion, bathroom tiles were a little dated and there should be better attention to detail for the hotel standard.

the stay was terrible as the hotel could never manage any food services for hotel guest. all orders took more then 40-50 min to be served . there was no table set for morning breakfast , no management done for guest breakfast

The breakfast buffet manager can do better to look after guests, like ask for coffee, live counter etc. When approached, service was provided. Room not cleaned by the time communicated to front desk - they had 3 hrs to do it. Bathrooms are super small. Not a 5-star bathroom.

Everything was excellent except the room size.

Overall it's a nice hotel. Great breakfast offering and friendly stuff. My room carpet seems old, has white stains and an unfresh smell. I enjoyed shopping some souvenirs in the store within hotel.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was wonderful. The food was good and there was a wide variety. Our room was small but well appointed and clean. We were upgraded to a balcony room. The pool was beautiful.

Sheets had stains on them and asked house keeping to replace , in the shower body lotion & shampoo had no labels couldn’t identify Could not shut off the TV

The finest hotel we ever stayed.

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel. First off pros. Staff prompt and responsive to fix deficiencies. Courteous. Professional. However the hotel bills itself as 5 stars but realistically more like 3.5 to 4 stars. I had higher expectations. Examples. TV was not even connected first day and staff had to come and finagle behind the tv to reactivate it. Body wash was empty in bath upon our arrival. Shower curtains and bath mirror stained. Shower fixtures quite dull scratched and have lost their sheen. This was a reserved room for 3 people but only 2 bath towels stocked. The sofa bed was not stocked in advance with bedsheets or pillow. We had to request. In isolation each of the issues not significant but in totality did not live up to expectations for a 5 star facility.

First stay at Grand Mercure Mysore

The service was excellent. However, the rooms were not cleaned properly. The linens were soiled. The hallway carpet looked old and dirty. The hotel did not fees like a five star hotel.

Customer service!

A little pricey, but worth it

Stayed for a couple of nights with family (two rooms - interconnected). The hotel staff were young and friendly. The food (we had two breakfasts and one dinner) was quite good, with plenty of choices. The only small inconveniences were that the A/c. in one room was not very effective, but we managed by adjusting the settings, and the cleaning on the first day could have been better. The hotel seems to be favoured by families, which is a good sign. Overall, a great stay.

Wonderful experience

Grand Mercure Mysore was a wonderful experience, staff were really helpful & approachable, room was in perfect shape & facilities were fabulous. Whatever you ask of them, they will get it for you. Only a small point here, you should have more games for the tiny tots like a play area, the one you had was for non-school going kids and very small.

We had selected to pay at hotel and card would not charged until check in. But amount was debited from the card next day of booking. They are charging extra charges

The hotel is well maintained and at prime location accessible to various Mysore attractions. We enjoyed our stay.

Shame in the name of 5 star property. Nt evn 3star

Terrible house keeping. They did no check on if TV, Kettle, are working or even present. Took 4 hrs to settle down. They had not provided Fuctional tv, electric kettle, sufficient water bottles, tea cups, slippers, tooth brushes, towels even after repeatedly asking. If you are hungry, do not even attempt to order. It will take at least an hour even for snacks and that too exorbitantly priced. All food is good, but you cannot expect that every time it takes almost 2hrs if you going for Al carte.

Great restaurant, cold but nice pool and good area. The problem was my small room on the 5th floor. I asked for a quiet room so was given a room at the end of the hall. There loud noises and explosions above all day and night from perhaps a generator that made it impossible to sleep. So avoid the 5th floor especially a room at the end if the corridor like mine

We checked in at this property and it was a nightmare. They asked like 4 forms of ID and treated like us like a third world country people unless I showed my US passport and then the respect and the hospitality came out. We asked for ice cubes multiple times and got only once or twice. We were charged for breakfast for both days and they had to adjust it since we used breakfast only for a day!! And the manager took that offf as well for inconvenience. AC and phone never worked. When called front desk they sent some one up and he told this is how it is on AC and they don’t have spare phones!! Not a luxury hotel service overall.

Dirt and stains on carpet tiles broken

Well located, friendly staff, responsive, surprised with Xmas sweat treats on decorated plates served two days during our stay, fresh fruits and mineral water replenished daily. Adjoining suite door not fully sealed for acoustics. Otherwise, our stay was enjoyable.

Very nice service. The property isn't very big, but stay was very comfortable. The hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Food was also very good. I'll gladly be back here and wholeheartedly recommend others to try out.

First off the food is excellent! The staff are all helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back there!

Disappointing and not 5 star

Very average stay. Service at check in was disappointing. Understand we didn't have any local ID on us at the time, but considering we had our 70+ year old mother with us and were checking in at 9:30pm, expected a little compassion and flexibility from the hotel management as we assured them the details would be sent through within 12 hours and we had already paid for our accommodation. It took us over 90mins to check in and get our room. Appreciate that they finally recognised how late it was and how much we were inconvenienced, so we were given a room upgrade at our request so that our mother would be more comfortable. Asked for luggage assistance when checking out which never turned up. Breakfast was below average and waiters swept off their feet and confused with orders. The shower curtain was dirty. Bathrooms are small. Overall, not sure how this is considered a 5 star hotel. Doesn't meet the mark for us.

Comfortable stay,good food, playarea needs upgrade

The stay was comfortable. The buffet had a good spread both during breakfast and Dinner. We tried multiple dishes for Lunch all were delicious. However, they should improve their play area. It isn't covered. Thus, it was wet all through due to the rains. Maybe add/improve a few activities for 3-8 years old. If kids stay engaged, it just eases the time of the parents.

The rooms were good, staff not so good Hotel and location good they tried to charge even though mentioned in our booking as included, for which we felt very disappointed

I found the bed sheets not clean. There was hair on the pillows and sheets . The breakfast was not great . The omelettes had no salt in it at all and I was told they don’t put salt in it 😳. The staff was very pleasant and helpful .

Surely not the same Grand Mercure, the same property I have stayed with my family in last 5 years. Lack of attitude and responsiveness right from front desk to restaurant to hotel management. Bitter taste and surely not recommended

Grand Mercure not that grand

My experience at the Grand Mercure was not great. This started with the shuttle service that was overpriced. Second, the service at the hotel was lacking. We stayed in a suite with five people and there weren't enough towels, for example. The welcome petals and foot batch were a nice touch, though. The buffet was ok, but nothing extraordinary. Water is only free if you take a filter bottle. Almost anything else is paid. The service at the buffets was under par, with the exception of the chef and one of the main waiters. Many special orders went wrong, and worse, we had to wait for waiters.to show up. The swimming pool looks nice in the pictures, but was not clean. The towels at the pool looked dirty and old. The shower stall is right next to an open toilet, that just makes no sense. All in all an underwhelming experience.

Good Property to stay with the family

The front office, service and the house keeping staff are all good. The rooms, restaurant and the common areas have all been maintained immaculately. The breakfast spread was vast and good. The waiters take good care of the guests. The valet parking is also a very thoughtful gesture. Overall, it was a good experience. I would certainly stay here again on my next visit to Mysore.

Reception people are slow and often they don't listen to customer properly and jump to act. Billing is painful. Fix it.

Its location is great. It has a lot of good restaurants nearby. They could improve the lightings of the hotel outside. They had xbox, but it didn't work.

Horrible service and lethargic attitude

Horrible horrible service. I booked this hotel for my old parents who stayed here for a night. The things that made their stay horrible were, 1. The sheet on the bed had a huge hole in the center. 2. The kettle wasn't working. 3. No hot water for shower in the morning. 4. There is a seal on the shampoo bottles which is impossible to take off. Upon informing the front desk about this, They just said they regret the inconvenience and did absolutely nothing about it. The hotel cannot be rated 5 star at all. Please reconsider before booking this hotel. The hotel asks you to rate it upon connecting to the wi-fi and That is how they have so many good reviews.

Good hotel, but could be better

We had a good stay, but small touches that make a hotel exceptional or outstanding were missing. Food was good, but not great. Restaurant service lacked details like keeping a table ready with accessories before it is occupied. Hot water temperature in shower fluctuated. Parking overflowed in the front of the hotel premises. Overall, a decent hotel, but not Mercure class.

Not a 5 star

Firstly, this hotel may technically a 5 star but the experience we got is not a 5 star. Poor service, poor overall management, Okay-ish food spread, good people. Our room locker wasn’t working as they haven’t reset the previous guests key. Bathroom hand faucet was leaking. For every toiletries, we have to ask. The kettle was broken, irrespective of multiple requests, we had to wait for more than 40 mins to see it replaced. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here for a 5 star experience.

The Grand Mercure Mysore

Overall a great property and pleasure staying. Staff is cooperative and courteous. Good variety of food in the restaurant.

Awesome stay @ Grand Mercure Hotel

Staying at Grand Mercure was awesome except 1 or 2 things was not upto the mark. I stayed there with my wife and 6 year old son. One thing I noticed is that they could have place one bucket and mug inside the bathroom. And the other thing was that the small pool was not at all cleaned. No words to express for the breakfast and dinner. It was really tasty and superb.

Check in is super fast also checkout

Close to city, rooms do not have a view. May be due to high number of visitors, the hotel was not fully prepared. Staff is courteous and attended to all the needs. Opportunity to well prepare the rooms including electrical, electronic, linen and upholstery. Dine in needs more staff and space needs to be well organised near the pool side based on occupancy.

An Amazing Experience. Highly Recommended

There are so many amazing things about this hotel, right from the great location to the amazing buffet spread. But what makes this hotel exceptional is the hospitality of the staff. Special shout out to: Joy Nath (Front Desk/Reception) who ensured I had a quick check-in and later on also went the extra mile to help me with my queries with the WiFi. Chef Satya and Gangadhar (La Uppu Restaurant) were super helpful. Special thanks to Sneha (staff at La Uppu Restaurant) for her energy and customer centricity. Each one of them did (and keep doing) an exceptional job in ensuring guests have the best experience. The hospitality of this hotel makes makes it a stand-out and would be one of the main reasons for me to visit again. If not staying, I would highly recommend trying their Buffet Spread at La Uppu Restaurant (PS: Get's occupied soon, so there might be waiting times. Yet another way to show how great it is) Thank you for making my stay memorable!!

Great experience.

My stay was pretty amazing. The staff are well trained and well informed and super helpful. Special mention for 'Joy Nath' from the Front Desk/Reception who ensured I had a great checkin experience. And the courteous staff at the La Uppu Restaurant. Would love to come back again.

Two nights comfort in Mysore

Grand Mercure offers comfort of a clean stay with adequate precautions for the pandemic. The staff are rushed on the weekends and checking in was delayed. Apart from thst the rooms are comfy, clean and the restaurant service, food is good. The breakfast service and food are good too.

Location, close to all attractions and city centre.

Bad Stay in Grand Mercure Hotel.

Stay was terrible. Leaking toilet, intercom not working, one restaurant with hardly any choice. Good Hardware but Pathetic Software.

Not that good

The Room is not cleaned in our 3-day stay. nor sanitized. The bed is really hard and the kettle is broken one. Also, they did not share the bill softcopy to date, and also the food is very bad. The bed is not soft and no sanitary items were there.

We understand due to COVID conditions we cannot expect any normal hospitality conditions but breakfast was just Okie in taste . Though chef tried their best to offer whatever he could with the limited resources

We liked our stay a the hotel. The rooms were neat and clean. And the bathrooms were also very clean. The hotel staffs were very courteous.

Very good accommodation, great location. Unfortunately service does not come up to scratch. Reception does not answer calls neither does room service. Staff training wouldn’t go amiss.

Stay experience not matching with ratings from the customers. Below average breakfast, too slow breakfast service, ok rooms, In room dining (ordered team) took 45 mins, multiple reminders. Jacuzzi not heated (was not working), overall disappointing stay.

We stayed a month in room 407 due to an injury. I appreciate the staff so much. Mainly from la uppa: Jessica and Pranab was amazing and personable. They made us feel at home. It was nice to see their faces on a daily bases. From the front desk: nameed, and another gentleman (sorry I forgot his name) they made our multiple check in/check so easy. I appreciate them showing concern and asking about the progress of my recovery. The cleaning staff: I appreciate the maid I saw on a regular bases. She said hello everyday we saw her. She went beyond her job duty to make sure I was comfortable. I wish I remember her name.
