Went in January and could see whales from the beach and room. Couple of the restaurants where getting renovated but still plenty of food options available, the ceviche restaurant was amazing and view was even better. The room was clean and turn down service was a nice touch. Everything worked as it should. My wife and i really enjoyed our stay there
It was a great resort. Lots of pools. Friendly staff and great service. Fish tacos are bomb bomb!
Everything was great.
Great staff. Lots of activities going on and the place was well kept. We have a 16 month old daughter and they were extremely accommodating.
Overall, it was a nice resort. Best part is good food options!
I have been to this resort in the past and i feel like each time i have gone the quality is less and less definitely my last time here. Hotel needs several upgrades its an older hotel. Food quality was better before as its still decent it gas gone down in quality.
My partner & I stayed here 7 nights in December 2024. We were blown away by how beautiful the resort is and how great the food options were, especially the all inclusive. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and always gave a welcome smile. The resort is laid back with a good mixture of families and couples. You can make it as relaxing or as exciting as you prefer. We preferred a more laid back; quiet vacation and we were able to achieve that without issue! We found a great spot near the ocean that had great seating to watch the sunrise in the mornings and great stargazing at night. We also were able to see whales in the ocean during the daytime. The service by the pool at the Blu restaurant was wonderful. Daniel took care of us every day and he was so nice and always had our drinks ready for us. We loved it so much here we became members and will be returning again in April. Our new favorite place!
Very clean and quiet. Great food great location
My room kept flooding from the shower, they just kept sending maintenance to “try” and fix the problem. Wouldn’t move me to a new room, I was very annoyed. I normally take multiple showers a day but had to scale back due to the problem! Also the food here wasn’t the best I should have went back to where I stayed before . I won’t ever stay here again
BEST GETAWAY
PERFECT WEATHER, GREAT HOSPITALITY AND THE FOOD IS GREAT AND DIFFERENT VARIETY
Spa was nice. Loved being able to hear ocean from our room. Fun events at black lemon especially the fire show. Staff at Bodega restaurant were amazing. We enjoyed the firework presentation for birthday celebration.
Love this place will be back
The service was exceptional, what a lovely place to relax and rejuvenate, the food was bursting with flavour, Grande fiesta Americana does not disappoint, highly recommended for a pleasant vacation , enjoyed the stay Jan 20-23, 2025
The property was absolutely breathtaking. The resort food was also very delicious.
We were so pleased with our stay. In my all inclusive experience this was by far the best dining options. Three of us went and in the 5 days never had a disappointing meal. So many places to choose from. The staff was amazing. We had been to Jamaica earlier this year and the friendless, promptness, and assistance couldn't even compare. They were exceptional. I paid extra for beach front and it was totally worth it. If you have littles you may want to choose something different as the music is playing at night close by and may keep them up. However we loved the convenience. The only only downfall and it wasn't horrible is our room was just average. Beds were nice but it could have been a tad more updated for the cost. Also having a small freezer in the fridge would have been very convenient as I was pumping and storing milk for the week but again- nothing they listed incorrectly. Overall One of the best places I have ever stayed and would completely go back. The seafood offered is top notch!
This is literally one of the best resorts I’ve ever been to. Not only did every single staff member greet you every time they walked by you every single staff member was extremely attentive to all of our needs. There was not one thing they couldn’t help me with they always did what we asked, the room service was amazing, and they came in our room twice a day and cleaned. It was more than I’ve ever expected and also the on-site spa is 1000 out of 10 experience. If I could give this 100 stars I would.
Enjoyable stay
We loved our stay. The staff were very helpful and kind. The food was delicious and there was a ton to choose from. The property was tidy and very picturesque. I’d come back for sure
I had the pleasure of staying at this incredible hotel from January 14-19, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were consistently friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist with a smile—it's clear they take pride in providing excellent service. The property itself is stunning, with breathtaking views that made our stay even more enjoyable. There are nine restaurants on the property, offering a wide variety of delicious food, from casual bites to more elegant dining options. The quality of the food was outstanding, and each restaurant had its own unique ambiance. The hotel also boasts several great pools, which were perfect for relaxing or enjoying a swim. Whether you prefer lounging by the water or taking a dip, there's something for everyone. Overall, this hotel exceeded all expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable vacation with amazing service, food, and views. Can't wait to return!
Dining was great. Services excellent. Room condition a bit dated and dark but well maintained and clean. Nothing major to fault.
If you're seeking friendly staff, a welcoming atmosphere, and a smooth all-inclusive experience, this isn’t the place for you. Our stay started with a 30-minute check-in delay, leaving everyone frustrated. To add to this, our booked room wasn’t available due to “technical difficulties.” The replacement wasn’t ready, the minibar remained unstocked for a day after several calls, and the jacuzzi jets didn’t work. Staff hospitality was severely lacking. At the pool, a staff member rudely ignored our question and walked away. At the front desk, we requested a new wristband for our 6-year-old, but the response was cold and unwelcoming. Even after thanking them, there was no acknowledgment. The concierge and restaurant staff were equally distant and disinterested. The property’s breathtaking views and polite lower-level staff—such as the cleaners, bellboys, and golf cart drivers—were highlights. However, their professionalism wasn’t reflected in the higher-level staff, who could learn a lot from them. These problems aren’t unique to our experience. Many reviews point to unfriendly staff and an inefficient check-in process. Despite management’s promises to improve, nothing has changed, showing the indifference runs deep. Spare yourself the frustration—this resort doesn’t deliver the seamless experience it promises.
A
Great
Beautiful place! The whole property is well maintained, the pools are good. Staff is happy and willing to help. Unlike typical all inclusive, the different restaurants do have different menus and style, and flavour is different from the others. The cons; golf is prohibitively expensive for the common Canadian and our weak dollar! As well, the beach property is only 300 m long with large craggy outcroppings on each side.
Its a beautiful secluded resort with private beach and best food and drinks and entertainment. I love to come again. They have nice activity and entertainment with Nicole and lorena at pool
Everything within the property exceeded expectations. However, you advertised as a golf/spa resort and we arrived with our golf clubs and no one assisted us or told us anything about where to play golf. On the last day, while checking out, I was finally told about a course we could have played closer to the resort and much cheaper than the course we played. Also, we were not aware that the resort did not accept US dollars. That should be mentioned on your website. I would have brought much smaller denomination of US dollars for tipping purposes and for paying the taxis we used to travel to the golf course we played.
Infinity pool could have been warmer. Views were amazing. Staff very friendly
Love
Nice vacation.
Food at the resort was spectacular. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Easy trip into the city of Cabo, felt safe.
Todo el stuff the Maravilla, no tiene oceano para nadar por Que hay muchas rocas, la comida muy bueno sobre todo el restaurant italiano..
I accidentally booked two different room types. One was Deluxe Room, another was Superior room. Front desk said they are in different building. But I want two rooms together. If I want to move to Superior room (villes) I need to pay 100usd per day. If I want one room move to main building. I still need to pay 100usd per day. It doesn't make sense. They want charge you more any way. They couldn't even provide the most basic price transparency, and we didn't know they would be arranged in different buildings. And we havn't tried The Mexican restaurant was closed for the 6 days we stayed.
My fiancé and I had a 10/10 perfect vacation here. I can only praise the quality of service here. For me, the staff is the best part about staying here as they were extremely polite and exceptionally knowledgeable. They helped us every time we asked questions and went out of their way to make us feel accommodated. The food is also amazing and you cannot go wrong at any of the restaurants!
My recent stay at the Grand Fiesta Americana had its ups and downs. I had two rooms booked for me and my parents. Starting with the positives, the staff was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. The service at the spa was excellent, offering a truly relaxing experience, and the gym facilities were impressive, modern, and well-equipped. The room was clean, which I appreciated. However, there were several areas where my experience fell short. Upon arrival, I experienced a late check-in because the room wasn’t ready, we didn’t get into our room until 4:30 pm which was frustrating. As a VIP guest, I was also disappointed to find there were no special amenities provided. Additionally, the air conditioning unit was extremely noisy, I reported the issue three times at the front desk I never got an update for , and our area was loud at night and early in the morning as early as 5am. We stayed in room 305 close to the ice machine making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The shower had mold, which was unexpected and detracted from the overall cleanliness. While I enjoyed the exceptional service at the spa and gym, the noise issues, cleanliness concerns, and lack of VIP touches made my stay less enjoyable than anticipated.
This was the best all-inclusive resort I have been to.
Beautiful property, but very large! It took a day to find out where things were, but those views are to die for. All the staff were very friendly and helpful if we needed anything. Will definitely be back
We’ve been to quite a few all inclusive properties and thought the food here was the best we’ve had. The views here are beautiful. There were a few minor things in need of repair around the pool area and we could have used an exhaust fan in the bathroom but otherwise I have no complaints, we had an amazing time
Great resort for a short stay. Great restaurant options room had a great ocean view. Got to see a mother and calf humpback whales breaching this morning
Food was terrible . Probably the worst food I had in any resort . But the rest of the resort and staff there were amazing. Definitely overpriced for what it has to offer compared to all the other resorts I’ve been in the past
A few things: Our room had a persistent smell in the bathroom that remained even after cleaning. The food was a huge letdown—very limited options, and the quality was awful. Staff behavior was disappointing, as they acted irritated when asked for assistance, whether for directions or at the pool. The Mexican food was flavorless and overall terrible—even while being in Mexico.
Amazing place. Staff, facilities, food and drinks were great. Can’t wait to go again
Good
Great property with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The rooms were nice, spacious with great view. Overall very satisfied and will recommend
This was, by far, the best all-inclusive resort I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. What a superb way to celebrate my 40th birthday. The staff was very friendly and accommodating - services were stellar, and you really feel like you're getting what you paid for and then some. I would definitely return and want to check out their other properties in Mexico!
Amazing staff (entertainment, dining staff, waiting staff by the cool), food was great as was the evening entertainment.
We paid for villa suite and after traveling we show up and are put in a room quarter the size we paid for. Nadia who checked us in even noted on our paperwork that we paid for Villa suite (which we purposely did cuz we had our baby). Since baby was with us we needed to put her milk away and nap. After multiple phone calls they finally got us the room we paid for yet did not have an ocean view (the manager claimed it did but you could barely see it - partial ocean view at best). Again go to lobby and manager says nothing he can do tonight to come back tmw. At this point I’m crying out of frustration that my baby missed her nap window, hadn’t yet been fed and her milk no longer good. The manager I think his name was Vauso (?) says very insensitive “well I offered you a solution.” Majority of the service was terrible whether it be restaurant or pool. The drinks and food took too long to come or wouldn’t get a refill on water. Half the time at the pool we didn’t even get a server to offer us a drink. And to top it off the pool was freezing and could not be enjoyed either. Definitely not the trip we hoped for and when friends ask how the hotel was they’ll get the honest truth. Terrible!
Loved the resort.
it was a good stay
Bad customer service
It was the worst experience… we bought return taxi from airport so when it was time to leave our taxi couldn’t come inside the property cause of taxi union. We had to walk almost a mile to come outside to get our taxi in scorching heat with all our bags. The worst customer service experience ever in my traveling life. The shower in my kids room was flooding everyday and food was not good. Never recommending grand fiesta Americana to our friends and family.
It's a reasonable place for vacation overall and the food here is pretty good. However, the rooms are definitely old and the check-in and out process is very time consuming. The front desk was not able to find our booking with Expedia when we checked in and the same thing happened when we checked out. We had to wait more than 30 mins to complete the check-out process and in the end missed our shuttle to the airport.
We loved the following at this hotel: - an amazing kids club. Very well run and our son loved it. Especially KitKat who made him feel so welcome! Also lovely German lady there (viel dank:)! Kids club staff are an asset to your hotel. - rooms are spectacular! Amazing views and we had a separate bedroom/lounge area. We could see whales daily. It was just breathtaking - pools great - plenty of options - aqua aerobics at 12 and daily Latin dancing at 2pm. Thank you to Nicole and the team. I loved it! The entertainment team are great. Always something to do. We enjoyed lots of activities. Downsides - some of the food options at the resort require more attention. The breakfast buffet had lots of luke warm food. The Mexican restaurant was just terrible. Rushed and stressful and the food was like cardboard. We were so disappointed as we love Mexican food and it felt weird to be favouring sushi and steak over authentic local cuisine - our first room was right by the fire pit. Very loud music til 10.30pm every night. We just don’t want that and l appreciate quiet when the patio doors are closed. We requested to move rooms which was arranged. We went from front row nearest to ocean to top floor furthest away. We honestly preferred being away from the constant noise (even though getting to our room involved lots of steps and different lifts). We got our steps in! We had a lovely stay - beautiful location - let down by some of the food (which could be easily fixed).
The hotel was great, guests not so much. We wanted a swimmable beach and so chose the Fiesta Americana. It is a family-friendly resort and there were screaming children almost everywhere, at all times. Also, the quiet side, facing west, has construction of a new facility that ran 15 hours per day (actually, 20 hours one day).
We really enjoyed the food. The speciality restaurants were all excellent, truly! This is the best AI food we have had in Mexico! The staff was also incredible!
Had a great time
Perfect romantic getaway resort
It was our first time visiting, and it was a great trip! Comfy beds & very clean. My only ‘complaint’ would be the beach - very rocky but so beautiful!! The resort also has sand around the beach chairs around the pool, and I didn’t enjoy that as much! Food was great, & and so many great options!! Would visit again!
My husband and I recently stayed at the Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf and Spa, and we absolutely loved it! The staff were amazing—special thanks to Jesus and Adrian, who provided excellent service delivering food and drinks on the beach, and Alejandra, our wonderful housekeeper. Everyone we encountered on the grounds was extremely helpful and kind. The resort offers five fantastic restaurants and an impressive variety of breakfast options—there’s truly something for everyone! The grounds are also meticulously maintained and always clean. We had an unforgettable experience and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.
Overall, a wonderful experience, and I would go back! Everyone was very helpful and friendly, the food was delicious, and the facilities were clean and nice! Service was sometimes slow & the shower lips are very low and easily overflow which is annoying but both were very manageable and didn't degrade my experience. We did have some issues with transportation offsite as well but I consider that separate separate from the resort experience.
Great stay, friendly staff, very relaxing. Would definitely recommend it.
It was a safe nice vacation. Not for adventure seekers. Have to work on hot water system. Do not like cold showers.
I give this property a solid 4 stars. The staff are excellent and our room had a beautiful golf course and ocean view. It took us a while to discover the best places to eat. We didn't enjoy the breakfast buffet, items were cold and stale. However, the Mexican buffet was good, the Italian restaurant was very good and the Peninsula was also very good. We enjoyed many whale sightings from our beach chairs.
Nice place
One morning no water to take shower. Next day we had water but it was cold water only
I liked the outside of the resort it looked beautiful and picturesque. Did not like the food and overall the rooms and amenities were older and not very clean.
The property was wonderful. We enjoyed the buffet more than the restaurants because of convenience. During our stay, we had to make reservations for the restaurants in person at 10 AM or they’d be filled up . Even though most tables were free they wouldn’t accommodate without a reservation. Not a lot to do after dinner. No pool table or ping pong table. Pool server Bryan was rude and disgruntled. Seems the staff prefers clientele of the lighter complexion if you know what I mean.
An extra constraint was placed on the 500usd credit in which only 100usd can be honored per day. And only on premium menu items. Upon checkin the employees were very cold and seemed annoyed having to explain the Expedia benefits
Everything was lovely, great food, staff. Just wish the property most specifically the pools and beach were more accessible for those with disabilities. Even at the area of the kids pool, washrooms were not accessible
Really liked everything, and probably the best food I've had at an all inclusive. But, service was really slow all around. At restaurants, and even checking in, it took us about an hour to check in and whenever we sat at restaurants that weren't buffets, they took forever to serve and even to take orders. The food was amazing, but they would also even forget to bring us things.
Everything was perfect! The staff, location, spa, beach access, pools, food, Ill be going back soon
The property is clean but it’s just old and tired looking. The location is the only attraction. The staff, generally, very good, very nice. The food????? That is not good! Hot food often cold, overcooked or poorly prepared and/or presented. It’s like hotel management is saying to guests “food doesn’t matter. You’ll eat anything!” No love, no respect this regard. Will not stay at this property again! If you care about what you eat, look elsewhere.
2nd time staying here and we shall be back again. Absolutely beautiful scenery - delicious food and gorgeous views. Highly recommended!
The property is absolutely beautiful and has an amazing beach and amenities. I was disappointed with the food at the Peninsula Restaurant and the Mexicanq. This is the only reason I did not give 5 stars. All the staff was extremely helpful and our server Adrian who helped us while we laid on the beach was fantastic. He had excellent customer service. I do recommend the ceviche restaurant, breakfast buffet, and steak at La Bodega. Very delicious food there. I do not recommend using Grayline Shuttle to transport to and from the resort. They were disorganized and never followed up on the return trip to the airport so we ended up paying another 85 usd on a taxi.
Second trip back to gfa! Food was great, drinks came quick and the views were amazing. First day our shower water was warm but not hot. They had service up in 15 minutes and took care of the issue quickly.
Our second time at this resort and can’t wait for our third. Beautiful resort, great location, awesome food and excellent service.
Amazing
Very nice resort. I would stay again!
Great for families, dining experience could have been better. The rooms are dark and not great shower pressure.
The hospitality and friendliness of the staff, and excellent food everywhere.
Property was beautiful, pools were great and staff were amazing. Lots food options, but not all food was very good. Unfortunately The steak house, and Italian were a let down. I had a steak off premium menu it was ok.There isca $30 dollar cover to get into El Bodega Steak house, that if you order off premium that amount will not be charged. Some friends wanted to surprise everyone and paid the servuce fee in advance. When the bill can there was no deduction of the premium menu items. Waiter said because cover was alresdy paid. That makes no sense. That ruined the mood and I didn't want to argue. Still foid there was just ok..
Property and staff were amazing! Eat everywhere but the Steak house. Food was just okay but on premium menu, food everywhere else on property was delicious.
Great time will be back
The food was good .
A truly beautiful resort. Loved the food. Some of the villas are far to walk not ideal for family but they have golf carts to bring you to and fro. Overall great service - the beach isn’t what I would prefer - as it’s small pebbles/sand vs what I am used to in cancun (soft sand)
This was by far the biggest scam from Expedia. I had booked an all inclusive package deal, with an additional 500 dollar credit per stay per room to be used. When we checked in we were told that it accumulates for 500 since we have 5 night stay and I can deduct 500 from my total charges in the end of the stay. To my surprise, when I checked out, they decided to change their mind and say that this is not how the deal is. I had a headache the last two days of my stay dealing with them and Expedia, and they did not accommodate. False advertisement. Do not book. I will be having to press legal charges for this. They charged me an additional 320 dollars. Instead they should be refunding me as I had bought this 500 dollar credit with my package. All are unprofessional and non responsive. I spent hours and days on the phone trying to get this resolved. They are great at keeping me on hold then hanging up. Scammers. On top of that, they did not allow me to post this review because of the pricing issue.
Great experience
Hotel and staff are excellent. My room could have been a little cleaner, but overall I had a great experience.
The food and beverage options were great for an all inclusive resort. Liked the view and private beach. The pools were clean.
I stayed in a club room. The club lounge had very limited food options, but good top shelf alcohol. The service at the club pool was great. Food options were boring - bland and mediocre quality…very disappointing. Room service was excellent. I had a bath in my room but couldn’t use it as the bath plug didn’t function…despite reporting the issue twice. No reassurance that it would get fixed…and it wasn’t. I had to navigate the hard sell timeshare at check in, but if you can get through that without signing your life away you’re good to go!!!
Beautiful property
DO NOT BOOK through Expedia!!!! Horrible experience, wasted a whole vacation day for my family and I’m still dealing with this terrible situation. I just got back from Cabo. We booked a package deal through Expedia for resort (Grand Fiesta Americana) plus flights, and the deal included $500 resort credit, PER STAY. This extra credit option made me choose Expedia vs other options, and I unfortunately regret this decision so much. The deal stated that we get $500, per stay. There was no language to specify rules or restrictions. Nonetheless; during my stay I chose not to spend any of this credit on days 1 through 3. On day 4 I used my whole $500 credit on spa and a steak dinner. On the last day of my vacation, I went to the front desk to print out my statement in preparation for early check out the next morning. This is when I learned from the staff that the credit deal is $100 per day for a total of $500 which means that I would owe them $400. I showed them my booking confirmation through Expedia which clearly didn’t state any of that and the hotel management couldn’t care less. They basically told me to figure it out with Expedia. So here I am on vacation with my sister just calling Expedia repeatedly to explain the situation and ask for help. Instead of getting any meaningful help, Expedia representatives kept telling us that they are having system issues and dropped our calls. We never got this resolved and just wasted our time. Never again. Terrible experience.
Good property for the family. Smaller than Cancun and staff also less friendly. Watch out for your stuff by the pool, ours got taken and given away to another family while we were in pool.
The views are incredible! The room was nice and clean. The staff at all the restaurants and bars were great! We didn't have the best experience with housekeeping staff, and the food was just "ok", but would stay here again.
Loved our stay here and the staff were wonderful. Will come again.
Check in process was too long and drawn out
My kid likes the pools
We enjoyed the hospitality of the resort staff, but every time I turned around they were concocting some way to get out of a deal or promotion they promised us. That was frustrating but it didn’t completely take away from the relaxation and fun times we had with friends. The breakfast buffet was great and several other restaurants were pretty good. I definitely feel like 5 nights is plenty. I do not recommend the Peninsula restaurant and the Italian restaurant is just ok. I recommend upgrading to the Grand Club if you can. It’s worth every penny to use the lounge and have a nice big room.
the food is outstanding. its unbelievable the food they offer at an all inclusive. the staff is so caring and kind. and its just a beautiful resort. the spa was absolutely gorgeous, i was extremely impressed.
all good would do it agian
The food was not I had in mind. Not enough local Mexican dishes. They tried making more international cuisine. You’re in Baja Mexico and should be more of that cuisine.
Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf & Spa | Home in Cabo San Lucas | Travala.com
Resort could use a general store with basic supplies. Food was average limit options and limited fresh lite snacks.
