Great 5-star hotel with an amazing location, close to all the major tourist attractions. Staff members are very friendly and professional, and also the hotel is very clean. We loved the breakfast buffet which has almost all the signature food of Xi'an.

The rooms are big and majestic and worth the amount paid per day just to come back to a relaxed environment after a long day of touring. The balcony excess and view from the Red Level was awesome but it is a pity that it is too cold in early December to be outside. Staff are friendly and helpful. A free upgrade as a first time hotel guest was unexpected and deeply appreciated. The heated indoor pool is a must for those who seek a great dip after a hard day's work or tour without freezing. Overall a wonderful experience. If visiting Xi'an again, a definite consideration.

Easy check-in and friendly reception staff. I stayed for one night in a twin room, which was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was varied and tasty but coffee was disappointing. Coffee aside, this is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location with very helpful staff. Thank you!

Excellent choice in hotel location. It’s close to major tourist attractions. Hotel itself is clean with Great service. I stayed in the “Red Level” that includes executive lounge. It is as good as any other top 5 star hotels like Ritz Carlton. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay

Not far from Big Goose Pagoda

The room was super clean and spacious. We booked a suite with 1 queen and 1 twin. There is a mall in hotels back door. The Big Goose Pagoda is just one subway stop from the hotel. Our room was at 5th floor, it has a great view of the hotel garden.

I like this hotel but one thing I didn't like was the bathroom/toilet was all glass and glass door and there was no privacy. Even if I stayed with a partner I wanted to have privacy when I use a toilet.

This is a gem: part of an enormous shopping and activity group of buildings, endless choices of restaurants within 5 minutes of walking from the back door out of the lobby. If you WALK 20 minutes to Jindi Complex, the choice just got doubled. The trail around the lake is across the street. Take advantage and use it it.

bad start - good ending

Check in was a nightmare as they could not find my booking. Then they gave us a room that was not made up! They were quick to upgrade us to the red level and an enormous suite - this made up for the mess before. Everything went well after that.

Great location, walkable to many resturants

Large rooms, well appointed. Service was OK, but not exceptional. Fantastic location

everything was beautiful and clean. Concierges helped us to make a plan for sightseeing. Food in the restaurant was great.

OK for China

Internet connectivity is the main concern, WiFi signal was ok but the hotel WiFi blocked VPN access (so that you may access banned sites such as google, gmail, facebook, whatsapp, BBC news etc), when it was granted via other WiFi spots in Xi'an. Overall the hotel is clean and modern, with the odd maintenance issue - such as the plug socket hanging off the wall at the far end of the second floor corridor and minor damage to wallpaper inside the hotel room. Disconcerting is the amount of cameras inside the hotel itself, from the moment you leave your room you are continuously watched.

The property is nicely located in a busy yet serene Qujiang area of Xian. The hotel welcomed us with an open, spacious and bright reception hall and a team of courteous staff. The room was spacious and spot clean with a tall ceiling. Beyond the gorgeous room is a patio extended us to a outdoor pond with music dancing water and surrounded by a shopping mall with great shops and restaurants. We left the patio door open at night to enjoy the beautiful evening neon lights from the mall as well as the soothing music from a bar near by. In the morning, birds chirping from the trees awoke the quiet surrounding and possibly encoring the songs from the night before. The hotel was an excellent choice for us, and we will definitely refer it to others and will stay there again if we go to Xian.

Excellent hotel!

Gran Melia was very nice, clean, and accommodating. Every staff member ensured they greeted us. I loved that they had provided a hand written welcoming note. They also spoke very good English and had arranged a driver for us. The city is beautiful and lights up at nights. The hotel is in between the airport and Terra Cotta Warriors. It took about 45 minutes to get to either destination. I wish we could’ve spent more time in Xi’an and Gran Melia.

Excellent service and facilities

Fabulous hotel in service and facilities. Our son held a wedding reception at the hotel and the staff Zoe and Connie were most helpful in making the occasion a big resounding success. We also had a pre wedding dinner party at the Yuet Fu Chinese restaurant. The food was delicious and the waiter Charles provided top notch service. We are very please with the hotel. All the staff were generally very helpful and our guests staying at the hotel were well looked after.

Blown Away in Xian

Wonderful Hotel in a nice area of Xian. Service is first class all the way. I especially want to thank Paloma, our Red Level Host, for making our trip so special. She went out of her way to make sure everything was wonderful for us. I recommend spending the few extra dollars to stay on the Red Level. The Complimentary happy hour more than makes up for the minor extra expense. The facility is gorgeous with everything you could possibly need or want. Gran Melia gets the highest possible recommendation. Will never stay anywhere else in Xian.

Great Place to Stay and Work

I would like to thank Doris for her kind help and hospitality during my stay at Xian. I will definitely re-visit and stay at this hotel again in the future. The lounge is conducive with perfect views, especially at night.

I was very satisfied. The room cleanliness was excellent. Everyone I dealt with was great. Gran Melia. Grand indeed!!

Amazing stay at this hotel. Great location outside of city centre. Spacious and new. The area has lots of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Especially good for families as there is a light show on the fountain in the evening as well as a trampoline park 5 minute walk away. This added to the number of parks surrounding the hotel made it great for our family. One small thing is that there were very little English speaking TV channels ( I think maybe two news and one other) when you finish your day of sightseeing with children that go to sleep at 8 it would be nice to watch a little TV.

Excellent hotel with very friendly staff

When I arrived, I was immediately met by Concierge Victor who helped me check in then escorted me to the Red Level floor. When we arrived I received excellent service from Oscar who showed me to my room. Next morning I was greeted by Michelle while eating breakfast. She ask me if I wanted eggs cooked to order & shortly later brought me perfectly cooked eggs over easy. Each morning when I arrived for breakfast, Michelle would ask me if I wanted my usual egg order...great memory. That morning I told her I would like to buy some specialty tea for my son & souvenir chopsticks for my oldest Grandson. The next morning she gave me written information in English & Chinese where I could find both items. The tea store was within walking distance from the hotel & when I arrived, I found out Michelle had called ahead. When I left to purchase the chopsticks she gave me her business card with the Chinese address circled so I would return to the hotel safely. Robin Zhang did the same, gave me his business card when he called a taxi for me. I meet Lisa during Happy Hour at the Red Level lounge, very personable lady & speaks excellent English. Great asset for the hotel. One morning I meet Bego at breakfast, she is also a very friendly & helpful staff. During our conversations, found out the hotel hires foreign staff members. I want to thank Kitty for moving me to another room when my A/C controls didn't work. Forgot some clothes in the room, she brought them to me later.

Hi class htl at reasonable price with great staff.

Hotel staff is always smiling. Never before in China had I experienced such hospitality. On the day of checkout we had to leave early, too early that the breakfast cafe was not open yet. When I said that to the waitress the day before our departure, she offered to prepare a breakfast box at the time of our departure!

Amazing hotel

Simply amazing. We were upgraded to the red level. The suite was huge and ultra comfy. The hotel lobby was stunning and the service was terrific. Can't think of even one fault.

We stayed at the Gran Melia in Xi'An for three days primarily to visit the city. Everything was perfect. The room was gigantic with an amazing bathroom. The service at the Red Level was simply excellent. We had dinner once in the Chinese restaurant inside the hotel, it was simply perfect. The only negative point is that the hotel is relatively far from the center but taxis are cheap and I believe there is a metro stop not too far away.

Very Enjoyable Stay

My wife and I stayed at the Gran Melia recently for our wedding anniversary. We were very impressed with the service we recieved. In particular, Joyce was very helpful in answering our questions, helping us find a bus, etc. We would certainly stay here again. One small thing that could be improved, was that although we were upgraded to the "Red Level" (which I recommend!), we didn't know that some of the Red Level benefits weren't available to those who received a free upgrade (such as the free laundry service); the information booklet in our room said we could use these, but only after enquiring did we find out this wasn't the case. It seems like this hotel is relatively new, so I'm sure these small things could easily be worked out in future. We stayed for two nights, but I do wish it could have been longer!

winter escape in xian

Robin, the concierge was great, very attentive, and ensured all our needs were taken care of. He helped to arrange our trip to terracotta warriors and the old town. The hotel lobby was a bit chilly (being so open and expansive) and didnt cope so well with the cold winter temperature. Rooms very clean & comfortable, with a few glictches as a result of being still so new. Breakfast is good, wide and varied selection, altho some items from the buffet were a lil cold. All in all a very satisfying stay.

Excellent hotel in Xi’an

We never heard of the hotel before but from the very arrival we were impressed. Had some challenges with Alipay for the taxi when we arrived but just walked in and was helped by the friendly staff. Celina the Lobby Manager greeted us and extremely helpful in checking in a travel tired family. The same goes for the Concierge team helping with arrangements on several occasions. The location is great, pool actually looks like the pictures and we really had a good stay.

전체적인 서비스 부분은 좋았습니다. 하지만 구급약 같은 게 구비되어 있지 않다는 게 최상급 호텔이라는 이름에 걸맞지 않은 부분 이었습니다. 무조건 현지 병원 가야 한다고 하는데 이건 좀 보완 해야하지 않나 생각합니다. 또 하나 1층 공용 화장실의 경우 수압 문제 때문인지 변기 물이 위로 튀는 문제가 있었습니다.

來西安一定要住在曲池新區，盛美利亞是最好的選擇。它不是單一的酒店，它屬於一舍龐大開發案的一環，有點像成都太古里，但更加大氣、完善。這裡有一座很大的書城，一整區的兒童美語教室和婚紗攝影棚，當然少不了國際化的餐廳。在酒店對面有一區在地美食街，好吃不貴。盛美利亞的住宿空間設計出色，寬敞，大氣。最小的標準間也夠大，床和枕頭都好睡，浴缸也很好躺。最強的是早餐，真是什麼都有，好幾座料理檯，食物新鮮，品質也高，還有現場擠的多種果汁。整體而言，是一流的。

자주 애용하는 호텔입니다. 좋아요 스페인 식당도 있네요ㅋ
