This was absolutely the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I reserved my room on Expedia three weeks before my check-in date, but when I arrived at the hotel, I was told that my reservation would not be honored because they "were no longer doing business with Expedia." This was after I had already flown across the Atlantic for a planned four-week trip to Sierra Leone, with no alternative place to stay. After I booked, I received email confirmation from Expedia that the room was booked and ready for my stay. No-one from the hotel contacted me to tell me that there was any problem with my booking, and I later learned that they had not even bothered to contact Expedia to let them know that the booking would not be honored. Worst of all, the hotel manager, Rahul, was simply awful: totally unprofessional and unsympathetic. He refused to do one single thing to resolve my issue. He explained that the rate advertised on Expedia was "lower than" their "customary rate," but did not even offer me a compromise rate for even one night, which would have given me a place to sleep for at least that first night. He even refused to speak with Expedia to see if a solution could be arranged on the booking end. While I was on the phone with Expedia's customer service representative, she repeatedly put me on hold as she tried to reach the hotel.
