Good experience, probably the heating mill work better in the traditional way insted of hot air, but great
Fabulous location for sightseeing
Good hotel in a fabulous location for sightseeing. Huge bedroom and bathroom with jacuzzi bath. Very good breakfast. Hot drinks available in breakfast room all day
I would highly recommend staying in Friday Hotel. It is a small hotel centrally located for Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square and within walking distance of Charles Bridge and the Lesser Town. The hotel is clean and the breakfast was very good with a variety of choices. The complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day is also welcoming to warm you up after a day's exploring. The staff were polite and friendly too and my husband and I enjoyed our weekend break there,
Friday hotel was fantastic. Close to everythingvand everything was a walkable. For the things that weren't, public transport was readily available. The room itself was good quality, clean, quiet. The staff were incredibly helpful and considerate. Would absolutely stay again.
This property location is ok but the dirty and smelly old carpets from hall ways to inside the rooms needs to be replaced.
A quality Hotel in a prime location
Well Our hotel room was on the front side of the hotel with balcony about 2 o'clock In the morning.. There was screaming fighting going on the hotel. Personnel did not get involved until we went down to let them know that we cannot sleep because people outside of our hotel room fighting. Also in a room in the bathroom the. Water faucet was not Contributing a full stream of water.. The right way it was just trickling out. Then we had breakfast, the breakfast was. AOK, they had a few problems. They had a toaster for all guests which only toasted 2 pieces of toast but it had place for 4, so the toast it was broken the Bake beans were not warm. They were cold. The Fresh fruit bar was not fresh fruit. And the parking was too expensive. And the communication from guest and hotel personnel was not explained properly. Sorry, sorry to let you know. That I will not. Stay. At this hotel again or recommend family friends or otherwise.Sincerely yoursincerely yours mister white
Loved the location of this place -- the place is safe to walk around and is lively even at night. The breakfast is really good even though the same daily. The free coffee machine is awesome! HOWEVER, its in a noisy location and one can hear hollering at night. The worse part of this hotel is the super unhelpful staff. They dont offer anything -- didnt speak English well and when we asked for some options for sightseeing juts handed us some brochures and didnt have any answers to our questions on the brochures. The guy especially was soooo unhelpful even on simple things. Like I wanted to some soap in teh evening -- he just said that the housekeeper store is locked which was NOT true since I came back later in the evening and the girl behind the counter was able to procure it. The guy just wnated to sit and surf and not do any work. OK place overall but dont expect beyond a bed and a room
The property itself is in a great location. Walkable distance from Prague Main Station, steps from Landmarks like astronomical clock and Wenceslas Square. The room I’ve got did not look like the pictures, only the bathroom was remodeled. The AC was not working at all. Luckily it was October and it was cool outside, however the opened windows allowed all noise from streets to disturb my sleep. Breakfast was very good.
The hallway ( near our room had a stain ) not very welcoming, front desk ladies could use a smile and be little bit more friendly during check- in. Room was ok, but shades.. curtains broken, rug dirty/ stained and the heat didn’t work right , we were cold! The buffet was ok, nothing special… wish the ladies at the buffet would give little bit more space and not constantly hover around the guests. Good location but taxi is unable to get in front of the hotel… Would not stay there again!
Beautiful room in the perfect location
Great location, fantastic breakfast, friendly staff. The only downside is the noise in the street.
No way it’s a 4 stars
If that hotel has 4 stars, I am not sure how many I need to book my next stay. Only the location met my expectations. The hotel, starting from the front door is so outdated, even the remodeled parts are felling apart. The room has no space to put the suitcase, I had to put it on top of the mini fridge. No coffee or even a hot water offered, except during breakfast. Which is mediocre and served in the room with no single window. The staff, out of 3 people I interacted one was really nice, but the other two were very unfriendly and not helpful at all. The guy said, he can’t answer my question as he is getting a headache. We had 2 rooms, but the bed was so uncomfortable, if I would have to share the bed it would have been a torture.
A nice hotel with an absolutely excellent breakfast included! Loved it and would stay here again!
Amazing location & very quite hotel
Easy access to everything
Breakfast didn’t start until 8am, quite inconvenient for business guests.
The air conditioning does not work, room smelled like dog, the carpets were very dirty, old, and stained, and the safe did not work properly. I am not a princess type of person and this place was not pleasant to stay in. The pictures are very misleading other than the bathrooms being nice. The AC is loud and there were homeless people sleeping across the entrance of the property. Cars cannot drive you up to the entrance during certain hours which makes check in and out a hassle.
Air conditioner was very noisy, and I don’t think it was working properly. The position of the hotel is great, in the middle of the shops. Having 24h reception for security and 24h available hot drinks is great. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Would pass next time
The front desk was nice and helpful. But had to switch rooms twice due to poor WiFi and AC. The breakfast was good though. Wouldn’t stay again.
Ahmed went above and beyond...marvelous!
Great place
Staff were pretty rude. It was pretty clean but bed sheet had a stain. Rooms could do with a bit of renovating and the air conditioning was loud and useless
The location is excelent, friendly staff and delicious breakbufet.
So beautiful,close to see everything
Comfortable stay-professional staff.
Nice place close to Old Town Square.
We had 2 rooms for our family of 5. One of our rooms was exactly as pictured on the Hotels.com site…the other room was old, outdated, and dirty. It had old dirty carpet, and the room smelled bad. We requested a change of room, but they weren’t able to accommodate us until our second night. The new room we were moved to had nice flooring, like the photos on Hotels.com, and was clearly remodeled. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room was broken, in the middle of July, so it was hot. We requested it be fixed 3 times, although they sent someone up, it was never actually fixed. The people were nice, and helpful, and the breakfast was nice as well. The hotel is a 5 min walk to Old Town Square which was great bc we didn’t need an Uber to see everything we were interested in. It’s close to lots of museums, restaurants, and street vendors as well. I’d suggest requesting a remodeled room.
Gran ubicación, en una de las zonas más importantes tienes restaurantes tiendas a unos cuantos pasos, llegas a pie en 15 min a todos los sitios importantes y la estación de metro está a una cuadra. Además es un hotel limpio y amplio, muy cómodo
Location centrally perfect. We took the 59 bus from outside the airport to the Metro green-line then a few stops to Mustek metro only minutes away from hotel. Lovely room and facilities but Air conditioning inadequate for July. Room on the top floor noisy with skylight open to assist cooling down. Breakfast good for the price, staff friendly. Would stay again but not on 4th floor.
Would def stay again if back in Prague. Easy walking distance to all the main attractions. We walked to castle from hotel. Clean, safe and easy.
Great location- friendly and helpful staff
Miserably hot
It’s a nice hotel with a good breakfast buffet, but their air condition is very old, and not maintained. So the room was brutally hot. They offered to switch us, but the other room was just as bad. The location is good. I would never stay here in the summer, but any other time of year, it’s probably a good choice
Good location. Fine hotel.
This is a decent hotel in a prime location. Generous, well appointed breakfast is a highlight. The rooms and hotel itself are a little worn, but clean. Our room’s AC didn’t actually blow cold air, fortunately, it was quite pleasant for our stay so it wasn’t a huge issue.
The number 1 reason for booking with Friday Hotel was the room Air Conditioning. Our 1st night the A/C was not working. The next 2 nights Marsha was able to have our room moved and what started off on the wrong foot turned into a wonderful stay.
Hotel is dirty and old. We had to book a different hotel and move there.
The hotel is located within walking distance of Wenceslas Square, the clock, and so much more! It is very loud and hot if you come before the air conditioning is turned on (May) because the open window means all the sounds travel into your room. The breakfast was awesome and free. Our keys kept getting demagnetized which was annoying- we had to go down twice on two different days to get them redone. The hotel does not have usb plugs so make sure you bring an adapter as they also don’t have any for you to borrow. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is also not far from public transit which is the best way to travel the city.
Good location
So much notice, stained carpet, one iron for the building, no privacy they will enter your room even if you have do not disturb sign, fridge not working, no air conditioning u will die in the summer.
Property is conveniently located in the center and walking distance to landmark tourist sites.
Overall it was good
Short break
Hotel was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Good breakfast between 8am-11am. Good choices from hot breakfast to continental. Room was great, good WiFi and TV, which we were able to connect to streaming apps.
Safe didn’t work. Bar fridge was either locked or empty. Nice bathroom. Excellent included breakfast
Wonderful location.
Ideal position.
Excellent position close to all the tourist attractions and bars and restaurants. Public transport very close. Staff all very helpful and friendly, breakfast plenty of choice. Only concern our room door did not seem to close properly but there was a safe in the room.
Short break in Prague at the Friday Hotel.
The Friday Hotel is situated in a good location in Prague with easy access to the old and new town settings. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful, greatly appreciated. The bedroom room was large with a wonderful shower room but the bedroom decor was very plain/dull and would benefit from a more dynamic makeover. The breakfast was plentiful with a good buffet choice. The hot food choice was mainly cold (this could be improved greatly)but the pastries were very nicely presented. There is no bar area/ service or ground floor toilet in this particular Hotel, which was very disappointing.
Alright
Nice enough stay. The staff is friendly. Rooms in need of Reno
I would never recommend this hotel ti any1 unless service is not important. Location is good . The room i was given first was not the room i saw online and booked . I was provided different room . Went back to the reception and i was told they did not have the picture of that room that is why they uploaded the superior room picture. I insisted to give me the room i saw in expedia and booked for . I was given the room i saw. But unfortunately there are no celling lights in the room just two small lamps. It was too dark for a room in a hotel of stars they claim. On the description it said 50 inch tv. Sorry to disappoint its only a 32 inch. There are no free waters bottle . And for toiletries it was only 2 body lotion in the toilet. Breakfast was very basic. Staffs are just ok. But could have been more better with a smile . Breakfast area customer service was very poor. Do not expect a smile. I would like to claim refund. 😔😔
Our room was too hot even when we turned the heat off
2 day break
Great locations. Friendly staff. Good breakfast including free tea and coffee facilities 24 hour.
Great place to stay.
Friendly staff, clean room, great breakfast loads of food hot and cold something for everyone and amazing location. What more is there to say 😁
Amazing helpful receptionists and great location and spacious rooms
Property was in a great location, in the middle of one of the best Christmas markets in Prague, Staff was friendly specially Mohammed, loved the stay their, and can't wait to be there again, highly recommended ...
The hotel was quiet and clean, just that there was something like a big beam in the hotel.
Very pleasant place
We really enjoyed our six days/nights at the Friday Hotel. The best thing about this hotel is its location, near Wenceslas Square and proximate to all the wonders of Prague. The carpeting in the common areas is a little worn and we found that off putting. But the room was clean and confortable. The breakfast is very good. We had a pleasant stay in Prague.
The room wasn’t quite as nice as the images showed although I’m sure some of the rooms were nicer than others. There was silverfish in the bathroom and a cabbagey smell coming out of the drain. There was also a lot of noise in the morning as the bins were collected in the street but the location was very convenient. The vents were loud in the room and there was no way to turn it down that we could find. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was decent, the free tea and coffee was much appreciated.
Very noisy, street noise and early morning businesses making noise, very very warm throughout hotel, which sounds nice, but is a bit too much
The breakfast was nice, best part by far. Otherwise my room was not at all as pictured, stained carpeting, sheets with old stains, signs saying not to use towels to wash makeup off your face, dark, dirty hallways, homeless sleeping outside with no security set up at least before 9-10:30pm.
Great location, just beside the pedestrian zone. We have chosen this hotel because we wanted to visit the theater Stavovské divadlo located 50 m from here. Everything was fine, the receptionists were very friendly. As we are not accustomed to use the A/C for heating and heating was necessary, we found the A/C gadget a bit noisy, but we could sleep anyway.
excellent buffet breakfast
Close to touristic places and great to walk around.
Friday Hotel
Excellent location. Nice big room and good breakfast. A bit noisy at night and the heating system was noisy too.
Looks can be deceiving. Hotel lobby is dingy and claustrophobic. Room was much better. But very conveniently located within walking distance of main attractions in Prague.
Room was nothing like the pictures. Breakfast was poor. The receptionist made me feel uncomfortable as a solo female traveler.
Very convenient location near the sites. Complimentary breakfast was very nice.
Great location. Nice buffet breakfast. Rooms spartan but functional. Hotel on major shopping street close to metro so depending on room could hear some street noise. All expected in room amenities like mini fridge, safe, hairdryer are available.
The room had zero air conditioning and it was pretty hot outside during our stay. We had to sleep with our window open to get some air into the room. The hotel itself was also warm. The breakfast was sub par but hey, at least it was free. Staff could have been more warm and welcoming but maybe that's the Czech way of being polite ? Wouldn't stay here again.
Location
Very clean and centrally located
non functioning AC the 3 nights that we were there, we told the staff and even when they said it was fixed it was still not working, and their card reader almost always does not work, we have to go back down to the front desk to have it reprogrammed, the positive is that the location is convenient close to the sights and shopping, and transportation, walkable
One big noise
-Hotel doesn't look like on the pictures, at all.. - windows are very old and thin and there is no difference if they are open or closed, there is one big noise from the street, no way to sleep well (which most important hotel's service) - shower drain clogged - I wrote to the hotel about iron, I received answer that there is no problem just ask on the desk about it, at the reception I got information that it is only possible in the morning, when clinning staff is present, so from 8 am. I asked to have it as earliest possible, so apparently at 8am and they brought it when I was leaving at 8:45... Breakfast was acceptable Location is good for tourist but with these windows without any soundproofing it is rather disadvantage. Overall very bad experience and for this money you can find MUCH better place to stay
There was reception 24/7, the bed was really comfy and there were always warm water for showering. However the lighting was dim at best, even at daytime, the floors were carpets and not really clean, the shower curtain had mold growing on it and when I tried to take a bath some yuck from the drainage came out right into it! There are almost no windows and no airflow in the public areas of the hotel (dinning room, corridors etc). The breakfast is also not so vegan/vegetarian friendly
Great help at reception
Great location
Great location, city centre and close to the metro. Friendly staff. Speedy check in. Good selection of breakfast items. Rooms are clean. The only negative would be the towels. They look like they've seen better days
Good hotel, conveniently located with good value for money
Perfect location
Very polite staff member at check in. Spacious room and clean bathroom. Breakfast was nice and plenty of choice. Very central location but with that is a bit noisy at night
Excellent location!
Great location!
The Friday Hotel is in a very convenient area for the main attractions in Prague. The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Mohamed. Breakfast was very good and could be taken between 8 and 11am. There was complimentary coffee for guests in the dining area available all day. We arrived very early and were allowed to check in to our room when we arrived which was very much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.
The Friday hotel is in an excellent location. The area is in a pedestrian zone, right near the main square and near the Natl Museum, historic Astronomical clock, Powder Gate, a grocery store, etc. The provided breakfast was outstanding and the desk persons were very friendly and helpful. The downside is that the carpets are simply filthy. Several large stains of I don't know what on our room floor as well as the hallways resembled something that had never been replaced since the 70s. The hallways were also very heavily stained and although vacuumed daily, still looked filthy. I never went barefoot in the room. All in all, it is a really nice property but definitely needs to be maintained better. Our AC was out for the entire 6 days we stayed. Again, a maintenance problem.
everything
The hotel was nice, clean and had good breakfast. There was a problem with our room keys. They would only work once and then we had to go to reception to replace them again, which was frustrating. They told us that only the rooms on our floor had the problem. Otherwise, we liked the hotel location, we didn’t mind the noise at night
Mohammed is wonderful kind and knowledgeable person, helped us a lot. Cleaning lady Ira was very nice, meticulous and delicate . Only one thing was upsetting- shower cabin is very uncomfortable. Beds and linen and breakfast are perfect Thank you
Die Lage ist perfekt für alle Aktivitäten im Altstadtbereich. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Die Betten sind sehr angenehm und die Zimmer haben eine gute Größe.
Excellent location , spacious room and breakfast included
Small hotel with a very nice breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
We had a wonderful stay.
Old dark eerie corridors
Dark and eerie corridors, old building and at times you can smell heavy chlorine smell in the lift and general areas. Breakfast is typical but the same food is served daily. The room is renovated. My room faces the shopping street so it got noisy in middle of nights with people shouting and laughing. It’s the same with windows closed. However location is good and there are restaurants and shops around the hotel.
Property is in perfect location in shopping streets. It is walking distance to old town. Good room and bath in general. There was too much noise from people in street and carbage collection during night. The sofa in the room surely need upholstering. The safe was broken.
Great location, breakfast was reasonable. You can hear the nightlife going until 4am, our room was a bit dirty, AC wasn’t working. But we loved the location.
A really good experience. Staff were extremely helpful, room was comfortable and breakfast good and plentiful. Only downside was noise on the main street side of the building.
Nice location, can easily walk to most places. Room was very clean. Cleaning lady was super nice and helped me to open my room. Breakfast has a lot of choices, coffee is excellent. Would highly recommend. Thank you.
Very friendly and helpful team. Nice comfortable room
Best location but normal hotel
Only good thing about the hotel was the location and the staff, rest was just ok. Closed to old town, Charles Bridge and all other places, just walking distance. Mohammad was so helpful in all the matters but they to improve their room entrance card system. Ladies at the breakfast were cheerful and were playing with our baby. Room cleaning should improve
Cute and clean
Super convenient right in the downtown area Clean and amazing breakfast
Only thing missing was ice for our drinks. Everything else was great and Mohamed was wonderful arranging our transportation to and from the hotel. Many thanks.
Heat exhaustion
The place was clean but… the heater was broken in the on position and it wouldn’t stop blowing out hot air. The room and hotel was 90 degrees F. I thought I was going to have heat exhaustion. We had to keep the windows open the entire time which meant that we were woken up at all hours of the night to loud trucks and screaming drunks in the middle of the night. Our view was a dilapidated building and someone’s porch which stinks when your can’t close the window due to heat. Also the front desk help was friendly but I do believe he was condescending with his statements and not welcoming.
Pros: close to walkable areas and good breakfast Cons: very dated rooms, carpeting, doors, hallways etc. Shower draining wasn’t working and air conditioning wasn’t working
Walking distance to everything we wanted to see!
This hotel had friendly people at the front desk, the breakfast was excellent, the location was perfect and the towels were awesome! Our room was very warm, however, and the temp could not be turned down. We asked twice. Our room was a nice size, shower worked great. The lighting was very dim in the main room.
Reception staff were quite poor. Dismissive and unprofessional. We had a couple requests and there was just no one at reception for stretches of time. Location is convenient but is very noisy since it's on a main pedestrian street.
Excellent look no further this place is perfect. Bed was comfy ..shower was great ..customer service Excellent.. walking to everything you want to see easy. Great location.breakfeast was perfect. Thank you Mohamand we miss you. We will stay here again...
Friday Hotel | Hotel in Prague | Travala.com
Rooms are specious, clean and overall experience was very good. Location is in centre of market area and main locations are in walking distance.
