The stairs to the 2nd floor were very narrow and steep, and the room was very small, but the location was great. An easy walk to the Aya Sophia and the Blue Mosque.
Not recommended to anyone this is utterly poor hotel
This place is not clean and in fact very dirty. There is mold in the bathroom all over the floor and wall tiles. The fridge in the room is old, rusty and also very dirty. Electricity outlets and hanging from the wall and are not safe to be used. The terrace is dirty as well and not usable. In the pictures it's shown nicely set up but it's not. Breakfast is tiny and not fit for a grown adult. This place should not be listed for bookings. Pictures that are listed online are not what you see when you go to the property.
Walking distance to attractions. A lot of cheap places to eat. Safe and no noise. Helpful stuff, good small breakfast. Clean room. Will stay again.
Good Hotel but worst breakfast in Turkey.
Reasonable hotel with aircon and tv working fine. Main issue was with the poor breakfast as there was no buffet and you were given a tiny fixed plate. When asking for more you were just given 1 small slice of cheese.. Breakfast let it down big time.
I really liked the hotel and the area, the staff was really nice and very helpful, you need to remember something you come to 3 stars hotel so lower your expectations. Besides that everything was good and I enjoyed the experience. Special Thanks to Elcin he is one of the staff members for all the helps and the advices he gave me about area and Istanbul in general
na
not what we expected prity dirty
You get what you pay for... hard to find. The ac was not working, room got very hot. You can hear all the noises from the street, so if you are a light sleeper it’s not for you. Their phone number publish on this side is not a working number.
It was nice hotel for its reasonable price. Staff were helpfull. You need to walk like 15 minutes to get to blue mosque. Breakfast was not all that. The room was clean, neat and quiet.
Istanbul's Fors Hotel is a great budget traveler's choice. The location is great--right in the heart of Old Town, and close to the light rail transit system. The price is right: very inexpensive compared to other Istanbul choices. The rooms are small, but clean and practical. The staff is most helpful and friendly.
Staff friendly, in a nice neighbourhood, superbly located, 20 minute to the gRAND bazaar and 20 minute walk to Aghia Sophia. Clean and easy going, value for money.
It was really good and very clean and all the stuff helped me.. Thank you for everything
Amazingly located
This hotel provides a very warm and home like atmosphere which makes the visitor instantly comfortable and relaxed. The staff are exceedingly helpful and speak reasonably good English and are well conversant. The hotel is clean and the breakfast menu is simple yet highly satisfactory and nourishing. Its location is superb especially for those who intend to visit a traditional Turkish bath as there is an excellent one right up your street. It is close to the old district of Sultanahmet and most of the historical sites like the Bazzar and Cemberlitas Column. Comes highly recommended.
Good location at a good price
Good staff. Reasonably good room. Very good breakfast options. Good location.
cheap and in the old part
The hill up is quite steep upwards (indeed with luggage very steep),no pavement all the way and easy to get lost. The TV seems not to have any relevance as we couldn't find a channel in english. The rooms are very small. We pulled bed out from wall and only just had room to move to toilet. 2 bigger people would have major problems. There is no space to put suitcases. One night a man was watching TV and looked at us and ignored us(when we entered) so I assumed he was a guest and not the receptionist to give us our key. We waited a few minutes for someone to come.In the end I found the bell and pinged it. TV watcher then stood up and asked if we needed help. Most bizarre. Breakfast was adequate but tea and coffee bad.. coffee turned out to be a gold blend machine and the tea was Turkish Black.
nice budget hotel
u get what u pay .. this hotel is very nice, cheap & not far from the sights but the only disadvantage was the room area
Great base!
we arrived mid evening really tired the under manager was lovely so helpful .The breakfast is a good basic buffet great hours up to 10.30.Flors is in the old city easy to walk to the main square(10 mins) and about the same to the sea. The nearest beach is a 30 min bus ride away and you have to pay about £5 to enter so sea bathing was not easy and no pool however, the roof terrace has fab views great place for a morning coffee and the sea promenade nice to walk along. Lots of places to eat near by and a great ladies Turkish bath on the corner of the street a must!!! For the money I was extremely pleased and would go back.
Good Hotel :)
It wasn't any view from window it was wall, but because we wasn't in room in daytime, so we didn't bother about it. Service was great, reception people was nice. Breakfast really good.
Great Hotel for the price
Positives: Great hotel for the money. Breakfast will not wow you but it was again good for the price we paid. Decent location. On par with other European style hotels. Negatives: The Wifi kept going in and out so email would work but it was hard surfing the web. Also the hotels is right across from a Turkish bath. Not the well known Touristy ones, but I had a great experience.
Fantastic Hotel
Staff very friendly, great location for sightseeing only 10 min walk to main tourist areas, bedroom very clean.
Very nice place to stay in the historical area!
Excellent service, nice staff and perfectly located to enjoy the maximum the historical surroundings of istanbul!
Very Helpful Staff
I was really struck by the warmth of the hotel staff, they made sure that my stay was pleasant and that I was well looked after - and safe. Once, the gentleman at Reception ran after me with an umbrella just so that I didn't get wet as it was threatening to rain! The hotel is close to several of the main attractions like the grand Bazzar and the Blue Mosque. The Historia Shopping Mall is not too far away as well. The taxi driver from the airport had no difficulty getting there and the hotel was able to arrange a taxi to take me to the airport. I was also able to leave my luggage at Reception and come back for it later as my flight was at 5.00pm. Breakfast was basic: bread, cold meat, cheese, cucmber, tomato, olives, cereal, tea and lime juice. It would have been nicer if there had been some hot/cooked food.
Dodgy area, fake photos
The images on the hotels website must be photoshoped, the view is impossible and the surrounding neighbourhood was very suspect. My room window looked straight into a wall, the room was very small and the location of the hotel was unpleasent and unsafe.
Not really 3 star more like 2 star.
Hotel staff was the only positive about our experience. Two of the three desk attendants were very friendly. We were traveling as 3 adults and they tried to cram us into a room by adding a bed to a double room where there would be absolutely no floor space for walking. The location is awful..seedy neighborhood no location atmosphere at all. The breakfast was marginal and in the basement. There were no elevators so be prepared for steep narrow steps to climb.
Hotel Fors has small rooms, poor location
The location is in a poor area. Its 15 minutes walk from the nearest tram station down hill. The area is surrounded by poor old buildings. The rooms are very small. Our phone and piece of jewelry got stolen. Service was ok.
good
first of all, I had more option to take for hotel, but I chose forse hotel, because they had shuttle service from airport.so,I took that one because I didn't know any turkish language, I arrived to Istanbul, I didn't see any one to take me to the hotel, after one hour waiting, I found some one, who spoke English and Turkish. He called hotel, they said, they don't have that service. I had to pay $50.00 to some body who take me to hotel, I don;t know It was false advertising for hotel[...] ?any ways after that, in all 2 nights and one day I was over there, no body ever said welcome. They had very poor customer service, and there mean, I don't recommend forse hotel to any one. However, it had a comfortable bed.
Fors Hotels, good to visit the old city !!
Very friendly welcoming ;-) The breakfast is simple but very nice, from 7.30 to 10.30 with very fresh fruit. There is a woman haman just next to the coner Plenty of good restaurants, the Grand Bazaar, Blue mosk, Haya Sofia, Topkapi palace, just next to the hotel. And Taxim with of the night life is just 15 minutes away in tram
Fors Hotel 6/26/10
The hotel was a little tough to find, just off a street with several hotels and small restraurants. It was a good value for one night stay. Breakfast was clean with standard selections of small european hotels. Bread, cold cuts, tomatoes, cereal, fruits, jellies, sausage, hard boiled eggs etc. Room and bath were clean, bed comfortable. Staff was polite and helpful.
Great Location Great Price!
This hotel was a great find in old town Istanbul. It was only a short walk from a light rail stop and about a 10 minute walk to the Blue Mosque. The rooms were very new and clean and the staff was attentive and friendly. The room was small but for the price was so worth it. I would definitely stay here again.
Iyi, guzel

Petite chambre viello sdb miniscule
Pulita personale disponibile
Tous est trés bien
The room was unbelievably small but the staff were friendly.
Bonjour le propriétaire sont très gentil malheureusement nous avons pas y’a le temps de parler problème des langues ça va dans l’ensemble le chauffeur très très gentil cool
Alles was vreselijk.
The property was okay but when we got inside one of the room lights wouldn’t work and the worst part was sleeping there because we had to keep the AC on all night because it was soo hottt there was a bad rattling noise coming through the AC we told the reception but they were unable to do anything we stayed there 5 nights and out of all them.5 nights we probably slept for like 2 hours each day because we couldn’t sleep
