Overall great resort for the cost, the real selling point is the food options, excellent staff, and location. Rooms and pools are in decent condition for the age of the hotel but need some standard maintenance (missing tiles, cracked furniture ect..). There was active and loud construction during our full stay, while I understand it is necessary guests should have been informed of this prior to arrival, luckily noise only impacted the beach and main pool areas and not the rooms. Room service was excellent although with inconsistent timing and oddly enough would enter to clean and / or restock up to three times per day. The adult only pool was enforced and had a wonderful bar and menu. Adult only restaurant not enforced, despite saying no one under 12 there were infants or toddlers disrupting the atmosphere for both our meals here. The ordered food was excellent, buffets had plenty of options but get there early as temps / quality drops as it sits out. It was also odd that without notice some of the sit and order restaurants were switched to buffet which is not shared at time of reservation so you do not always know what you’ll get. Lack of adult activities or entertainment but there was some live music that was very good and the Fiesta was amazing. Solid 8/10
Great staff, great food, felt very safe, pool was very nice and clean
El hotel tiene una muy linda ambientacion y una piscina muy grande, la atencion en los restaurantes es excelente. Hay varias amenities a las que se acceden con un pago extra.
The hotel is very old and needs a major updates. There are only three restaurants and no lunch or dinner buffets so after being there for eight days, we were pretty tired of the food. First four nights there every dinner that we ordered came to us ice cold. After we complained, they were better but not great. Honestly, they didn’t really seem like they cared. The Italian and the Asian restaurants were by far our favorite. The Mexican restaurant was terrible. They played music in the lobby bar every night until and it was extremely loud. The hotel next-door would also have a beach party every night that was right in front of our hotel that was also very loud and could be heard in all of the rooms. The highlight of our trip was Leo the pool bartender. He was phenomenal! Very personable and greeted us every morning when we came down to the pool. He was also the only bartender that really knew how to make a good drink. We have stayed at fiesta Americana‘s and other cities in Mexico and had great experiences, but that was not the case this time. When we checked out, they did not even ask us how our day was. They’re carefree, nonchalant non-caring, attitudes at this hotel were very disappointing. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this hotel the next time we visit Puerto Vallarta.
Friendly staff. Sad there was no transportation from airport. Sad there was a lot of construction going on. Suggest they limit construction to one area at a time.
Friendly staff with the best house keeping and room service
Beautiful views! Amazing services
My day was very excellent. I love the room service love the clean mess, the safeness and the kindness of the workers.
room bathroom smells all the time
We like the hotel because it’s pet friendly, close to the airport and it’s convenient to get around town.
Hume is a warm capable head waiter. Patty is a superb barrista Tina is wonderful lobby host Coral & Karen are terrific lobby bar waitresses Margarito is a gifted omelette chef Ignacio and Rafael are great adult pool attendants Antonio is a great pool bartender We were disappointed in the food quality especially in the Mexican restaurant The loud music well into the night disturbed our sleep. We are now staying at a nearby resort which is less expensive and a better value.
Poor food quality in all three restaurants, including the Mexican restaurant where you’d expect better.
Food is not that good anymore. They persuade you to try and buy a share and if you decline the service is not the best.
The service in the sonne club,Rafael and Nacho, was outstanding. The meals were good throughout the hotel, with italian being our favorite. There was some construction work going on and can't wait till our next visit to see itcompleted. The views from the room were outstanding, never a bad sunset.
Ok
Great good, service, cleanliness., location.
Todo me gusto en jeneral no tengo ninguna queja puedo volver a regresar sin duda alguna
The staff are wonderful nothing is too much trouble for them. Our room was always immaculately clean, the housekeeping always obliging. We were supposed to receive a free bottle of complimentary wine, which we did not get after many times asking about this. We did get two wine glasses in the room, but no wine!! We did listen to the talk on joining the All Access Club, which is not for us. We received a free day at the Adult Pool, which we were unable to use. We will not return sadly as the noise was unbearable. When nice listening music was played it relaxing, then about 10:00 AM, the volume went up, I had a headache most of the time. The property next door was a culprit of this, the sound carried from 7:15 am until almost 11:00 pm.
The quality of the food can improve.
The customer service was excellent as always!!!! Yonni at the beach gave us excellent customer service 💜
Loved the dining options, the resort is quite quiet but if that's what your looking for it's perfect! Overall me and my girlfriend had a lovely time and would return again for sure!
Everything was average.
Great time!
Great hotel and staff
We had a great time during our 5-night stay with our extended family. I love the hotel lobby and the views were fantastic. I enjoyed meals at all 3 restaurants with the Asian one being my favorite. The front desk helped us to make reservations each night for our party of 9. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again on our next visit.
Food & Drinks were great!! Costumer service in restaurants y pool area great! I didnt like the talk to have more benefits & have access to vip pool area.
This property was great except for the food. The food was not good.
food is just ok, everything else was nice
Very good value. Very clean resort. Staff was excellent! King beds were very comfortable. Lobby very big and always had seating. Always lots of places to sit for meals. Ocean view from restaurants. Near airport 15 minutes. Taxies at the hotel. Resort very well maintained. I was impressed overall. Beautiful resort.
The room service was teriible
Good
I felt like it was old school PV and so many friendly staff. They enjoyed their job.
Blah
Service sucks, hotel is old, shower is barely working.
The food was horrible, was either too bland or overly salty. This is the 4th all inclusive resort we’ve been at in 2 years and this was by far the worst. We had no issues at the other resorts and have never complained anywhere but we were surprised at how bad the food was and we paid a lot to stay there. They don’t have all the restaurants open that they advertised and the service was so slow. Our food came out 1-1.5 hours late most nights and they repeatedly forgot our drink orders. They lost our room service order twice (one time, the food arrived 3 hours after we ordered) and management promised to make it right but it was all lip service as they never followed up. They only offered us a free pool cabana rental (which we did not accept as that had nothing to do with our complaints about the food and service). We ended up paying to eat out most of the trip, which was a shame considering how much we paid to stay there. They convert sit down restaurants to buffet a few nights, which isn’t ideal as buffet food isn’t the same quality as food ordered off the menu. There’s a lot of inconsistencies between what they tell you and what is actually the case. This happened constantly during our stay, there’s no accountability. The hotel is also really old and you see cracks and rust everywhere. They don’t replace table cloths at the restaurants so you sit down to a dirty stained setting. Many things felt unsanitary. We’re sharing our experience to hopefully spare others as it’s pricey
Very friendly staff and food was tasty. Hotel is clean, great bands played in lobby at night. Flea markets are walking distance from Hotel. Would recommend to friends and family.
Had a wonderful stay for New Year’s celebration. The accommodations were perfect and the food excellent! Will certainly return. All the staff were always friendly. From the pool waiters to the sweet hostess at the Mexican restaurant. Thank you for starting the New Year off right!
Very nice stay , customer service was 10/10 .
Loved the ocean and mountain views! Liked the pool bar, breakfast and Asia restaurant. We wish there was an international buffet for dinner. We would have liked to bring the lounge chairs onto the beach closer to the water. It would have been nice to have more nightlife.
We loved everything about this hotel. We’ve stayed at high end resorts in Cancun & low end hotels here in Vallarta (Los Arcos) & this hotel is on par with the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral in Cancun: the service & staff are outrageous!!! Cancun lacks soul, this resort has that soul & service. The staff checked us in @ 215 45 minutes ahead of the regular 3pm check in time. The resort is within 3-5 minutes walking of a great shopping destination. The Cevicheria was perfect right after check in. The Aguachile & Ceviche were 🔥. After Cevicheria we hopped in the pool which was nice along with the complimentary margaritas. Our son really enjoyed swimming. I had read great recommendations of Tiantang for dinner & it did not disappoint!!! Israel the Chef was spectacular as we ate booth side with him as he prepared our dinner as we requested on the spot. We will be making Fiesta American our go to resort from here on out in Puerto Vallarta.
The food was really good! It’s always hit or miss at all inclusive, but I really enjoyed the food here. Also the room service timing was really good. It didn’t take two hours like some places do. I especially liked their ceviche restaurant and the fact that you didn’t just have to eat at a buffet for lunch. I did not like the fact that the Jacuzzi was only in the adults area where you had to pay an extra $65 per day so I didn’t get to use that. They also don’t offer a traditional show that most all-inclusive offer. Overall, I like this place and Wood stay here again.
We really enjoyed staying here we will definitely be back the staff was amazing food was Top Notch and the adult pool was perfect for a quiet spot to relax.
8/10 spot
Our stay was excellent. Staff was friendly especially Andrea (with the activities). The food was good. The property was on the smaller side but never felt crowded or busy.
We had the King Club room with access to the Sonne Club wonderful swimming pools and Jacuzzi (with food and drinks available). The restaurants were located under Palapas, which was really nice. This property had the most palm trees out of all the all inclusives. The pool area was really nice and there were plenty of lawn chairs and more by the beach with palm trees nicely shading everyone. The variety of food was great. The service was outstanding. We loved the little coffee shop downstairs which was open until 10 PM.
Very simple and clean
Vacationed Dec 10-17, 2024...Fiesta Americana needs to learn a few simple service qualities many other all-inclusives already have in welcoming guests....most people are arriving from a long, hot trip so greeting customers with a cool towel and cold welcoming drink makes a great first impression... FA did neither and nor was the lobby bar open at 3 in the afternoon when we arrived to get a cold drink while waiting for check-in. We learned quickly the lobby bar doesn't even open until 5 pm and only one other bar is open to all is down at the pool. We also learned there is not 6 restaurants as advertised but just 3 for dinner and NO buffet... what all inclusive doesn't offer a buffet at three different mealtimes? We had paid for an upgraded room that was supposed to come with private dining for breakfast... it didn't... in fact you didn't get much for the upgrade except entry to the Sonne Club, which had an adult-only pool for Fiesta Club level. This area was exceptional though and the highlight of the trip... thanks to fabulous service by Raphael and Nacho we had a good time lounging by the pool everyday. That's one area we didn't have a complaint about, the service, it was great through the entire week, but we spoke to a number of guests from Canada and the US and all said the same thing...not enough food choices and hit and miss on food quality made us all seeking food off the resort. The King penthouse suite and the price was good for this resort, but we won't return.
Good service
Clean and staff are excellent.
Overall it was a good stay. Staff are polite and helpful. It is a hotel experience, not a resort experience. Food was not the greatest
Excellent experience and a great place for relaxation, good food, sade and secure location in the heart of town....
Everything was pretty good with a few exceptions. I would not recommend Italian restaurant.
As mentioned, there was a lack of sanitizers. There were dispensers but they were all empty. Especially in the gym where it needed most. Furthermore there were no paper towels and sanitizer sprays to wipe down machines after use. The staff was always late also. Most servers seemed to be not so friendly as we’ve experienced in other resorts. Lunch buffet was very very limited with selection.
They were doing construction on the beach so it wasn’t very relaxing. There were only 3 restaurants available and no buffet (only breakfast) The food was good but got tired of it. Staff were friendly and the service was good.
The hotel is building a new section by the pool that will host a restaurant and a bar. This means that there is a lot of construction noise. My first afternoon trying to relax was a continuous jackhammer until 5:30pm. There were some jackhammer pauses during the other days... My check-in experience wasn't good as we had to sit until 4pm to get our rooms, even when the check-in time is at 3pm. The property is not 5 stars, with details here and there that need attention (e.g. a missing closet handle, some stains in the floor, etc). The buffet is average (or less) but the a la carte restaurants are good. The people and their service is what makes me give a 2 star rating instead of just 1. They are really great and eager to help.
The property is small and quaint. The staff are all lovely. The pools are clean and nice. I enjoyed the adult only pool and hot tub. The only downfall is they charge extra to go to the adult pool and hot tub being a single adult male travelling you don’t really wanna be in a pool with kids and families, but you also don’t wanna pay $100 a day to go to adult pool.
Well staffed
I was really disappointed about our experience in this hotel. For starters, it’s old and poorly maintained. It’s very outdated, things like bathrooms mirrors, toilets, doors need to be replaced. We were able to hear everything from the room next door, I mean, everything! The elevator was constantly out of service. At the pool, the music was always too loud so there was no place to relax, we could even hear the loud music from the beach so you can’t even relax there. If you want to go to the adults only pool, you have to pay $90 dollars per day, ridiculous. By the beach, there were a number of vendors that are allowed to go in the property, very annoying. There is a construction site right next to the beach area inside the property that was super loud so again, no place to relax. The food for the most part was mediocre, except for the seafood place at lunch and the Mexican food place at night. One very positive aspect to highlight was the view from every room and the staff, they were incredibly kind and genuine. They went far and beyond to provide a good experience to the guests. Gumercindo, Danae, Darcy, Andres, yonni And Jaime were outstanding. Thank you
Great staff, accommodating for food allergies and very clean. Will come back
Food was good, staffs were friendly
Staff were super friendly and great seevice.Unfotunately building work taking place next to hotel..Making it noisy
If you love the sound of constant construction and frat boys partying then this is the place for you. From morning until night I had the pleasure of hearing drilling going on and frat boys doing shots (well past 2am in the hallways). How relaxing and magical. And good luck trying to get a place to sit near the pool unless you want to pay upwards of $100 extra for the pleasure of a spot that just ends up sitting empty most of the time. The staff is clearly unhappy and even with generous tips, they look like they'd rather be anywhere else. T And don't bother trying to get a drink yourself from any of the bars. Remember those frat bros I told you about? Yeah, they've built a permanent wall around any area with alcohol in it. May as well stick to room service, which delivered nachos so old and soggy, they looked like tortilla soup. The one time we decided to splurge and pay for the private pool, one front desk person told us $90 for the day. When we came back to pay, the next guy tried to charge us $110 for the day. Talk about sketchy. Oh, and you better not have a stroller or wheelchair because it's a 10 minute wait at times for elevators. We were on the 7th floor and just took the stairs most of the time. I've been to Puerto Vallarta probably 20 times now and I have never stayed at a worse resort from beginning to end. Avoid unless you enjoy punishment.
The hotel was ok overall. Not very family friendly. There was construction and noise heard so not very relaxing. Not mentioned at the time of booking. We loved the mexican food at the ceviche restaurant.
We love the setting of the Resort.Staff are vey helpful and accommodate us so well. The foods selections are ok.The most that stands out when it comes in Dining was The TiangTang .We enjoyed the selections from the Sushi to Entrada and the Entree as well as the desserts.
The friendliest staff you'll ever meet including Gume and Leo. The resort is wonderfully kept up, and the pool is luxurious throughout the heat of the day. The drinks are delicious. The live entertainment night is a great way to conclude the evening with. The rooms are very well kept up and spacious. I truly enjoyed the view from my balcony of my room. Thank you very much for making my first visit to Mexico and my first solo trip absolutely memorable!!
This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed here and we always come away feeling like it’s a home away from home. The staff are ALWAYS helpful and kind. The accommodations are comfortable and clean. The views are stunning and it is so close to everything! The also made my sons birthday breakfast surprise amazing!! He said it was his best birthday! Thank you Fiesta Americana! Shout out to Ramon, Rafa, Diego, and Armando! They were consistent and competent! My only issue this time was when they ran out of towels at the pool one evening and we drip our way back to the room. It wasn’t cold so it wasn’t bad but it was not my favorite.
Need more activities
The property is amazing just didn’t like that staff was selective with who they gave certain beer to. Paid for the premium alcohol and it was hard to get around the resort
Good
Staff was amazing. Rooms were very clean. Everything was great.
There’s was construction on the property at the time. Nothing was mentioned when booking. Stairwells were always dirty. Staff was amazing. Food was really good. Italian. Mexican and Asian restaurants. The spa had great service.
It was beautiful! The staff was amazing. We will definitely be going back.
The customer service imakes you want to come back the staff goes above and beyond I would totally recommend this hotel the food was better than good . We got the VIP wristbands and they are totally worth it . I can’t say enough good things about this place .
As a first time traveller i enjoyed the customer service and the room was comfortable. The issues were the noisy construction..the bad odor at the entrance..the mediocre food and the worst was the timeshare people in the resort..they didnt take no for an answer
We have vacationed in Mexico about 5 times, but this was our first time in Puerto Vallarta. Out of all the resorts we have been to, this one had the most attentive staff with the best customer service. Our room was on the 9th floor, and the most public elevators were undergoing some maintenance, so we were required to use the service elevators. I wonder if we got to our floor quicker with the lesser traffic. We got to our room & immediately turned down the temperature. Our room stayed 24-26C, so we asked for a portable air conditioner or a different room. We ended up moving down the hall to a room that had excellent a/c, and we were able to get the room down to 19C every night. Breakfast buffet was always wonderful, and most days (randomly chosen) we found the food at the buffet transitioned to lunch type options & stayed open until around the 4pm mark. After that, your best option is an a la carte supper at the Asian, Mexican, or Italian restaurant. At the spa, we indulged ourselves with a couples massage. We then lounged by a small rectangular pool, open to customers of the spa. There were a few things to drink & some light snacks available. The sauna & steam room are located within a gender specific space, so my husband and I weren’t able to enjoy those together. The Sonne Club was enjoyable, with the personalized service, easy access to food & drinks, towels & bathroom facilities. Overall, my experience was great and I would return to this resort in a heartbeat
The staff at Fiesta Americana are wonderful. They are what make the experience there a pleasant stay. The property itself is beautiful...again kept pristine by FA's diligent staff. To us, it feels like home away from home.
Older hotel but beautiful pools and gardens, and great service.
We selected Fiesta Americana for our group of 80 guests and were so happy with our choice! This is the perfect resort for a group. It’s small so you can easily gather, all rooms have an ocean view and balcony, and you don’t *need* reservations for the speciality restaurants. Speaking of the restaurants - the food was amazing!!! Best resort food we’ve ever had. The breakfast buffet is plentiful. There is a coffee shop if you prefer cappuccinos or lattes (also ice cream!). The staff were all wonderful and service amazing. Rooms very clean. Only 3 negatives: * most serious — the buffet dishes that contain allergens NEED to be labeled. A few of our guests have severe nut allergies. One unfortunately had to administer his epi pen & see a doctor after eating a chicken dish that contained peanuts. It was not labeled. This is very dangerous - they are doing construction so 2 elevators were closed due to this. A third one stopped working while we were there… so there was just 1 elevator for the whole resort. Long wait times for the elevator. - the AC did not appear to work in the gym Overall we loved our stay and would definitely return.
So the good things: fantastic customer service. The view was great. The food was pretty good, the Cevichera was probably our favorite restaurant there. The room service was very fast! The house keeping was good. The 8th floor had a pop-up bar and snack section by the elevators. Some areas of improvement: the food took about 30 minutes to come out each time we went to each at the included restaurants, which it seemed like the employees were trying their best but it was a manpower problem . They don’t refill your expresso coffee pods in your rooms. They don’t send mixed drinks to your room, only beer. There are only two elevators and one was out of commission the whole time we were there. There was some construction being done on the property that made noise early in the morning during the week. The cafe on property was unmanned both times I went in there to order an ice cream or coffee and had to wait some time.
loved the property, Padro at the pool was the best, it was a 9/10 for sure
Great service
Excellent service, felt like we were the only guests there. We were tricked in booking details and we paid $800 more, just to enjoy the amenities we already paid for! We booked the "VIP Access" package, to be told by Gabriela and staff at checkin, thay we DON'T HAVE THAT PACKAGE! Very upsetting, felt robbed!
Their security needs to be better. The vendors on the beach were coming right on the property to sell their goods. Also the vendors would hang their blankets, jewelry cases etc on the dividing rope fence. You can’t see the ocean for the vendors. I did not like only buffet for breakfast. The restaurants all required reservations for dinner. Did NOT like LOUD music at the pool. Especially early morning. The pool would play music, the restaurant, different music, the hotel next door would play music, then you would hear the construction from the building they’re making. Too much noise pollution.
We had a lovely stay after a 4 year hiatus. The staff made our time extra special!! A huge shout out to Oscar, JJ, Leo, Jessica, Pedro and Carlos. Thank you for everything!! We hope to see you all next year!
Food was good and fresh! Everything was great ❤️ the staff was super attentive and friendly
Paid for an All-Inclusive, but food was only available during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Didn't like had to make reservation for dinner every night and only had 3 places to choose from. No buffet option for dinner.
The amazing staff is what really stood out to us about Fiesta Americana. They all went above and beyond for us, especially the bartenders Leo, Juan, Yolanda, and Oscar! Would love to stay here again!
Check in was a little slow (we had a big group), but that’s my only complaint. Everything else was good and exactly what I expected. Not great but I’m comparing that to some 5-star resorts I’ve stayed at over the years. Hard to go back once you’ve tasted that level of luxury and amenities. Family friendly vibe and good room rates for what you get. The pool and gym were clean, I didn’t use any spa facilities. Had fun and would stay again
My daughter and I do not normally stay at “all inclusive” facilities but to be with non Spanish speakers, an at their request, we booked there too. Most everyone on the staff speaks English so our friends would have been quite comfortable without our assistance and translations. I use a battery powered mobility wheelchair and was able to easily move around the entire facility and even the restaurants were very accommodating. Fiesta Americana is a very nice facility with a very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. We wish our stay could have been longer.
Love the adults only pool area and you can’t beat the location
Basura!
Fiesta Americana was supposed to be a place to release the stressors of the world and be at peace. Wrong!! Front desk staff was mean as hell. Liquor was way watered down than the usual all inclusive liquor. 3 restaurants you HAVE to make a reservation for. 2/5. Do not recommend
Loved it
Near many tourist sites
Great staff! Very friendly & good attitude. The cevicheria was the best!
Excelente todos fueron muy amables todo el personal está muy capacitado es el mejor hotel que he visitado en puerto Vallarta
Not much to do in this resort
The staff is amazing!!! Great customer service to everyone
This was my third time staying and I still love the ambiance the food and the daily activities. I noticed the property is needing some mild amount of repairs and updating. It’s just wear and tear not is the pristine condition they usual are. Overall I would still book again. The staff is the absolute best! Warm and friendly and always make you feel welcome.
The service, food and locations, I only dislike the bar people, they're terrible with service and the drinks were not that good you're not order a margarita to get an icee, the coffee shop girl was excellent and lobby people too, the lobby bar girl make u s wait very long for a drink that wasnt even good .Overall i like it. becuse everything else was good.
Staff was very attentive. Property is in poor condition, water was not working for a few days, beds were dirty upon check in.
Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive & Spa | Home in Puerto Vallarta | Travala.com
The club level was amazing we had a marvelous time. The service and food was the best I’ve had at an all inclusive resort.
