El hotel es limpio. No tiene microondas ni neverita. El staff amable y servicial. Sherry es estupenda
A highly unlikely setting for being on vacation, but we just needed one night to stay and decompress after the festival in Puerto Rico, very reasonable, clean quiet, we got our rest and taxi pick us at 3:30 am for our flight
Very old hotel requiring immediate renovation
Basic amenities missing, management shrugs it off.
Be aware not all amenities listed are available. Front office people will huff and puff over the phone when you ask for extra towels (1st time calling and requesting). Basic amenities like TV and WiFi doesn’t work. They shrug it off and don’t do anything about. I went of the next day to speak to the manager about this his name is Luis and hung the phone up. Didn’t even try to fix the problem. So rude!
Excellent staff
.
Checking in was easy
Good except doesnt have parking area
It's not as bad as what the negative reviews say. You get what you pay for but over all I was comfortable and I check in at 3am. I would stay again
.
Hotel is on the campus of hospital complex. It was indeed "hospital" cold and clean on the inside. TV did not work. Cover on shower drain was loosed and aside, exposing a rusty drain fixture. Parking garage was in 25 feet of the "facility". However, the entrance was a quarter mile circle away. There was no escaping this solemn, eerie feel that I didn't belong there. Was reminded of "The Shining"... "Here's Johnny!" And yet again in PR, I was given the Staff Quarters, instead of a regular room. Did not feel at ease nor welcome. Front desk personnel disappear into the rooms to take naps or "whatever"... You call a number to summon them. Yeah, i'll be sure to look this place on my next visit... and go the other way...
The worst experience ever!
We booked a room online as it showed availability. We get to the hotel and were told we couldn’t check in after we called because no one was at the front desk and as we asked what time to come back for check in we got hung up on. After a few hours we received a email stating that our room was canceled due to no power in the hotel, we called to figure out options and we were told that they had no rooms available regardless so we couldn’t stay and they couldn’t accommodate us, we asked why weren’t we notified before hand, as when we called no one said anything about no rooms being unavailable and no one was at the front desk, the guy over the phone said someone should of been at the front and should of told us they had no rooms available, after about two hours of being on the phone with this hotel they told us we couldn’t even get a refund as they have a no refund policy but yet they never had a room available for us to stay so how is it that we couldn’t get a refund, so we went back and forth for a while and just to end up with no refund and no room to stay in and now we have to fight and report this is our credit card company because they refuse to help. No manager or supervisor was available and as the days past we still haven’t been able to reach anyone to help with a refund, we stood stranded for the night. Hotels.com also has fault in this for allowing bookings with no rooms available.
Hotel is not what it seems.
Need some parking área
False Advertising, Not a hotel - Hospital room
1. Not a Hotel, But a Hospital Room Let me start by saying this is NOT a hotel room. It’s a hospital room with a bed - there is zero hotel service or amenities. To even access the so-called “hotel,” you have to go to the back of the hospital, enter through the emergency drop-off area, and navigate through the emergency floor. It feels more like you’re walking into a hospital ward, not a place you’d want to stay at. 2. Terrible Parking Situation The surrounding area is filled with roadblocks and barricades, and the entire zone feels unsafe. You’ll spend ages just circling the block trying to find the parking. It’s paid parking by the hour. 3. Freezing Cold Room With No Control The air conditioning is set to blast at full force, and it’s impossible to adjust. There’s no remote, no controls on the unit itself—just a freezing room. 4. No Amenities, No Comfort The only vending machines are two dusty ones that only take exact change (singles, to be specific). 5. False Advertising This is nothing more than a scam disguised as a hotel. The website makes it sound like a regular hotel stay, but in reality, it's just a cold, uncomfortable hospital room with none of the services you’d expect from any decent hotel. I feel completely ripped off. If you’re looking for a place to stay, do yourself a favor and avoid this “hotel” at all costs. It’s a scam, and I’ll be sharing this review everywhere I can to warn others. My kids are forever traumatized! TRAUMATIZED!
Good rate per night, and safe!!
No parking lot for hotel guest. Hotel on top floor of the hospital.
excelent
Very poor condition the room
Deberían informar que queda dentro del hospital y dónde está ubicado el estacionamiento antes de que se pueda hacer la reservación, todo lo demás excelente.
Good option for short stays.
Services easy to get to quiet friendly
.
The room was too cold with strong air conditioner. Can't adjust the AC temp. Just turned off. Hot water didn't come out from the shower. The hair dryer doesn't work. Nobody was at the front desk when I checked in and checked out. The staff are not friendly. This hotel is inside a hospital.
Clean and basic hotel.
It was not at all obvious this was a floor in an active hospital. It was not obvious that the “available parking” cost $1/hour
My room wasn’t cleaned.
It's good.
This was misleading as this hotel is located inside a medical hospital. The entrance to the hotel is the hospital entrance. The actual stay is on a floor within the hospital that is secluded. Finding it was inconvenient. I took an Uber there from the airport and the driver wasn't even sure how to get to the entrance. Stayed one night to be close to the airport.
I wish it had free parking available and not a $1.50 per hour at the garage across the street. The front desk if often empty or the staff are asleep.
I didn’t like that it was in a hospital.
The gate to leave was closed so was inconvenient.
Very convenient, especially when on hospital.
The hotel is part of the most famous Cardiac Hospital in all of the Caribbean. It is said to be like the Ronald McDonald house for families of the patients. And they rent out rooms to make money for the program. Interesting place.
I don’t like the properties in the hospital
We were on a rescheduled flight that put us in San Juan for the night. Finding a hotel last minute that was cost effective for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 large teen boys was a challenge. We booked the Ficus Hotel and the accomodations were good. I wish I would have known that it was on the 4th floor of a cardiac and pulmonary hospital. We stayed in a converted hospital room. Overall the stay was good but they definitely do not advertise that it is connected to a hospital.
First of all the place is hard to find ,no Hotel is suppose to be inside the Hospital instead is suppose to be for the patient family Hospitality also smell like medice all around and in addition to this you have to pay for parking like some Hospital
Parking was impossible and expensive hotel was almost impossible to find, room was dirty,
Muy bueno para descansar.
Very convenient and close to everything.
Late night staff and security personnel very helpful and friendly. Parking is a little inconvenient but plenty available in the adjacent parking deck.
This is a hospital converted to a hotel. The parking is in the next block, and the only way to get to the hotel from parking is through stairs. Good luck if you are traveling with large bags.
Very clean and smelled good!
Very clean
Parking facilities were outside of the hotel. Access from parking area to hotel very inconvenient.
one floor HOTEL inside a hospital…
The hotel is described as a regular hotel, and it’s not, it’s just one floor at the fourth floor in a hospital, the pictures show something that is totally different of What it is the hotel, no parking available by the door, you have to find a way to get into the back of the hospital and a pay parking to get a place to leave your vehicle, and be prepared to walk a lot just to get into the front of the hotel, in my case I have problems in my legs, and this was a real bad experience….never ever again!!! Check the description of this hotel please, is a hotel for visitors of the hospital, not a real hotel….
This property is hard to find
I was expecting otherwise
it was excellent for my basketball team with college campus
The servicie was good but they dont have many options for eat in the propertie.
N/A
Excelent for medical apointments
Deben tener estacionamientos designados para los huespedes, el baño tenia cabellos en la ducha
Easy to access the hotel floor
It was nice.
Me encanto mucho el lugar y volvería! La tranquila y las facilidades súper buena ✨
Convenient area soo close for hospital area
The parking area and limited handicap accessible rooms, which is surprising considering the hotel is in hospital
There are only 2 handicap accessible rooms and there's no free parking, or handicap parking also no grab bars in bathroom toilets are very low
This is a basic hotel located inside a hospital. The rooms are small and there were signs of mold around the air conditioning vent. There are limited dining options.
Everything is fine
The room had no hot water I called. Did this to correct this issue? They told me to Leave the water running for more than 30 minutes to get warm nothing never happened. The TV didn’t work. They said they will fix it. I demand the refund it wasn’t because my mother was at the hospital next-door. I would never stay in the hospital or.
Needs some deep cleaning. Outlets were covered in dust the toilets need new flush valves.
Great staff
There was no one ever available in the front desk.
Nice property, area around it is sketchy but good locks once inside and great to be right near train. Not much to eat around there so have plans to go somewhere else. Great wifi. Good for a working trip. Budget friendly.
Ideal para enfermos del corazón
El hotel pertenece al edificio de una clinica del corazón. Es la misma entrada de urgencias. La habitación sin luz natural, pues teni unas cortinas viejas que no abrian. Esta muy retirado de la zona hotelera
Great property, very clean. However, random spot. ( in the hospital). Regardless is a great place! People were calm and nice. Also, mall was like 5 mins away without traffic so Uber was cheap to go.
One night stay at Ficus
A nice spacious room with two large beds. Everything was clean and ready for us. The one negative I would say is the location. This is a hotel on the 4th floor of a hospital where it appears they converted hospital rooms into the hotel rooms. Not great in terms of walkability to nearby destinations. Pretty limited in terms of restaurants. We booked it just to be fairly close to the airport and could have been a bit closer. Early morning it was a 15 minute Uber to the airport, but there was no traffic.
Great location for having someone in the Centro Medico hospital.
Besides being very difficult to locate appropriate parking, the main entrance was also not well defined. Even though I booked through a 3rd party site, I did contact the location directly regarding an expected late check-in, the staff was unconcerned with confirming my reservation or even taking my name and I was assured all would be ok. When I arrived, they had no rooms available for me. I was given a maintenance room (one that had not been cleaned in-between stays) as the only one available. What other choice would I have at 3am, when I planned to be up and out by 7am. There was also no effort to offer anything compensatory for the extreme inconvenience.
The Ficus Hotel in the Centro Cardiovascular de Puerto Rico y del Caribe is on the UPR campus, so convenient for me as a visiting professor. However, the rooms are COLD, and the AC only adjustable by turning it off. Rooms are otherwise fine. TV choices very limited.
The hotel attached to a hospital and was formally a hospital ward

It is a hotel floor in a hospital. It is incredibly cold with no ability to change the temperature.
