quiet room with a nice view of the tarmac. Shower drain was plugged which made for a gross shower. Hotel is looking a bit dated

Fairmont YVR is one of the priciest airport hotels worldwide (based on my experience), but it is also, hands-down, the most convenient, most efficient and most personable. Also has a good atmosphere in the attractive public areas.

El staff del restaurante no es lo que esperas para un Fairmont, la host muy poco atenta, la mesera Josephine super grosera, había que estarla buscando pera pedir alguna bebida, no se detenía todo era caminando, gritando, muy mala experiencia. Es una área de oportunidad muy grande para este hotel, el staff de su restaurante.

We love the Fairmont at the base Blackcomb Mountain. We will go back again and again.

The convenience to the airport.

Don’t need transport from the airport. Just walked down the airport (a fairly long walk, but indoors), and settled into my room. Great. Super easy for the flight the next day.

Great location and great facility

People say that it’s overpriced. All depends on the situation. Maybe you don’t want to get up really early for your flight or start your fun early by treating yourself or even like me didn’t want to get a cab at 330am from the house. Food was good, a bit expensive but there again you pay for the location.

So convenient!! Just go downstairs and checked in. Would stay again for sure!!

Convenient upscale location at YVR. Not just a place to sleep. Feels like a resort experience.

Would have liked to dine in bar as they had entertainment. Too busy. But had dinner at restaurant. Limited menu. Had burger. No need for 2 patties. But pretty good

Totally overpriced and poor service. Food choices at restaurant very poor.

Wonderful beds and our daughter received a cute stuffed toy with baby amenities in her crib. Sants was in the lobby so she got to take a picture with him. Very clean rooms with easy check in/out. Only downside was our dinner reservation was canceled the night before for the restaurant for no reason. We had to call a few times (it was in-between the switch of afternoon tea and dinner so no one was answering the phone) to rebook but they fit us in.

Comfortable & convenient, but needs some updates

Fairmont is obviously a great place to stay. Food and service were great. We upgraded to a junior suite with a view of the planes landing. The rooms could use an update, particularly the carpets. At the same time, everything is super convenient (automated curtains and you can control all the lights from bed). I wanted to use the gym for the treadmills, but 2 out of 4 were broken and the 2 functional ones were being used. I just waited a bit and they became available. But then the one I used had a significant tear in the tread, which made it difficult when the timing matched my cadence a few times. Being the Fairmont, I expect better quality, but it was an overall great experience.

The 3 hostesses at the restaurant who served us on different days were very slow and their attitude was very different from the rest of the hotel staff, who are fast and very helpful. The worst one was on December 27th at approximately 5:00 p.m. She showed little empathy, there was a line of approximately 6 groups of guests, all very upset.

Very comfortable bed

Person at the front desk up sold me on premium on the 14th floor. Found the dinner appys to be average, dessert was candy and breakfast was terrible. Was not worth the extra money. He told me that breakfast alone would be $50 per person to eat at the hotel but then when I looked at the room service menu there were lots of options for much less. Very disappointing

Only was annoyed we had three bath towels in room when they knew there was 4 guest

The YVR Fairmont is always an excellent experience. The hotel staff are professional, courteous and alway helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Keep up the excellent service and see you again soon.

Very convient hotel with easy access to the the airport.

Conveniently located inside airport with short walk to checkin counters. For early flights a perfect but pricey solution for out of town travellers who would have to fight morning rush hour.

I just wanted to say that during our check in Reina welcomed us in Japanese and it made us so welcomed. We were exhausted but she was so nice to us. Thank you so much. This is just our misunderstanding but this hotel is inside the airport but you still need to go through Canadian customs. The hotel was so nice that we would love to stay there again.

We were so delayed we missed our rental car-the Fairmont was so convenient and beautiful. We got a great nights sleep and that shampoo and conditioner was amazing!

Amazing friendly staff and fabulous restaurant and food

My hotel room was situtated on the 6th floor. Renovations were being done on the 5th floor. A notice was given that renovations my disrupt with noise from 9 am - 5 pm. Renovations and noise began @ 7 am. No sleep whatsoever. Staff at front desk did not care one bit.

Slept for approx. 3 hours last night.Listened to planes taking off all night.No hot water last night and this morning for a shower.Mentioned this when I checked out to the front desk person.No apologies-my problem because I did not report it! Great way to start a trip!!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant was over the top.
