Good hotel. Poorly designed entrance
60th Birthday Celebration
Comfortable, spacious, staff were amazingly great. Breakfast was fresh, great spread and plentiful too!. All the staff in Restaurant, Room Service were outstanding, always helpful, courteous & respectful too. SPA services tad disappointed as truly overpriced, with front desk staff least bothered to provide service.
Fabulous stay
Fantastic stay, wonderful staff
I absolutely love everything about this place and its workers!
Amazing staff and amazing hotel
The service and properly condition are pretty good.
Beautiful hotel , great Breakfast
Highly recommend this place. Worth the money for sure
Very welcoming, accommodating, and helpful!
Service was very good
Good
Really nice hotel, great breakfast and excellent amenities! Payed a room with a view to the Nile, was given the third floor with way too much street noise!
Location is great by the walkway of the nile and dinning options are convenient.
The Staff there is very accommodating and helpful. Checking in was earlier than 3 PM but Michael at the reception desk was very accommodating. Diffently going back.
Everything was absolutely fantastic! Would definitely stay here again.
Nice place
This was my first time in Egypt. I was welcome by the staff at the airport and since the very beginning I felt safe. The hotel is beautiful and rooms are very clean!
Expensive for what you get
Rooftop pool was the best part of the hotel. Room was mediocre at best and view of dirty river was nothing special. On a very busy road so it’s noisy all night.
Amazing
The property is beautiful. The staff is amazing and wonderful. They go above and beyond for the guests.
Location is not the best but it’s an excellent choice overall
The hotel staff, services and amenities are very very nice. I was upgraded upon arrival to an incredible Nile view one bedroom suite that was impeccable. The view is spectacular and loved everything about my stay
Best on the Nile
Professional staff, clean security connected to a mall which have everything you need
Great hotel
Every single staff was just exceptional right from the entrance, to the check in, in the corridors, and the house keeping teams. Beautiful place with excellent modern facilities and ever clean. Entertainment and dinning experience was perfect to with a variety of amenities! I enjoyed every bit and had a memorable stay
Wonderful hospitality
This experience is amazing. The service is impeccable. Absolutely amazing time.
This hotel is very nice. We have no problem checking in very late at night and they even upgraded our room. Very convenient for tours. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it
The staff were excellent. They responded well to our needs and they were very accommodating.
Great property
I loved the Hotel. 5 star for sure!
The hotel it’s nice and good area, also I like the breakfast
Beautiful and safe
Beautiful hotel with very polite and friendly staff! Felt very safe! Was a bit loud at night but always quieted down before 11pm.
Good
A nice property, good service
This hotel was well worth it . It was absolutely beautiful and we had an amazing time. Staff was welcoming Food was great! Live Egyptian band . Everything thing you can think of they have it . If you going to Cairo Egypt book this 5 star hotel ! You will not regret it! I had a balcony with a full view of the Nile River absolutely stunning! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cairo Fairmont
Amazing and helpful by all extent
Not good experience at all
Not recommended for families Noisy at night
Different types of food. Nice and clean
It is ok stay
Really on the ball with providing an excellent breakfast, excellent facilities in the room, thoughtful staff, taking care of the details and extras.
Nice stay
Excellent and comfortable
the smell outside the property is horrible and unsafe walking around due to the dark streets.
Excellent 5-star stay
My stay was incredible. The staff was BEYOND accommodating and friendly and efficient and knowledgeable and competent.
What an incredible experience - we were only able to stay one night before continuing on our trip but wish we had more time here. Highly recommend due to the incredible staff, food and beautiful building.
One of the best 5 star hotels I have stayed in.
This is a Word-Class property. Everything was 5-Star From the checkin process, waiting staff, the Fairmont Gold Service is a must book! I cannot wait to go back!
English listening ability of most staff are bad!
Many staff don’t speak good English; and you end up having one way communication.
First of all the Fairmont was truly a 5 star facility. The style, cleanliness and upkeep was immaculate. The restaurants and leisure facilities such as the gym and spa were first rate. The staff was very polite and helpful. In particular the concierge (Sarah) was very very helpful. We stayed at the Fairmont twice during our two weeks in Egypt. First for two nights prior to embarking on an eight day Nile cruise excursion and then again for the final 4 nights in Cairo. On our second arrival I realized that I had left some luggage at the our previous hotel and the concierge staff of Sarah and Mohammed were able to contact the prior hotel to locate my luggage and arrange for the Fairmont (driver Atif) to retrieve it. This lifted a huge weight from my shoulders as the loss of my clothing would have been devastating. The concierge (Sarah) also arranged for private and dedicated transportation for us for an excursion in Cairo. The restaurants were all very very good and the service excellent. We ate at four of the five restaurants and truly enjoyed every meal. The shopping center attached to the hotel was very convenient for sundries, snacks and even for a spare suitcase purchase. We would definitely stay at the Fairmont Nile City if ever in Cairo again.
Place was average at best.
We stayed at the Fairmont for 5 nights , the room is clean and the service is great however, the rooms are not sound proof and we couldn't sleep the first two nights because of the high music sounds from the club next to the hotel that stays high till 4 in the morning, we had to change the room the end of our stay .
The property in general is well maintained and beautiful. However, the room furniture need an upgrade, they show their age and all beat up.
Perfect
Amazing
They can do better by the name
It was good but could be better than that
Everything is clean and the staff was very friendly and efficient.
Staff was excellent..pure luxury
The hotel was beautiful, clean and all the staff we encountered were very friendly and kind. We had a birthday event at the hotel but they did not mention the list of restrictions until we were there. Be careful and ask question regarding music, hiring entertainment like saxophone player. Just ask all questions before booking an event or you may be very disappointed
Disappointing. We were given a smoking room even though we booked a non-smoking because there were none left. The smell was strong even inside the room. Also, we booked for 3 people through Expedia but it showed up as only 1 person when we arrived, which made the check in process slow. Otherwise, most of the staff were nice and food was good.
all ok except staff didnt have much knowledge in lobby at check in at check out i was over charged by 75000 and 2 weeks now still waitting on refund
Perfect
This was a welcome oasis after a long journey from the West coast of the U.S. Upon advanced request the hotel arranged round trip airport-hotel ground transportation. We were met at the airport and guided through seamlessly and effortlessly through security check points and customs. There was no waiting in line at all, and we were escorted to our waiting car. I should have requested the same service upon our return to the U.S., where we fended on our own at the airport (very chaotic, and a near miss of our return flight). There is an abundance of hotel staff who are professional, and most helpful. We were greeted with a cool welcoming drink and a staff member who checked us in, explained everything, and escorted us to our rooms. The room was quiet, with climate control, and conducive to rest; it had a view of the city. There was no desk area to use a laptop and if you plan to do serious work, forget it. There is a short runway up to the main entrance of the hotel which is always busy and crowded with over-parked cars. There are restaurants at the hotel. We included breakfast in our hotel stay. There were many nutritious food choices to appeal to an international clientele. For us, having a good breakfast lasted us the whole day through while we took in various tours of the city. Ground transportation is readily available. There is an unremarkable mall connected to the hotel. We should like to return to Egypt and will likely stay here again.
Nice property inside the building, but the neighborhood outside is not welcoming for walking or shopping Nice staff- helpful Loved the security screening part The Old Cairo Tour- we should get a refund as the driver did not do the tour. Do not waste your money on what the hotel offers. Viator does a better job. Loved the various choices of restaurants Room was small but clean
Extremely beautiful and secure property. My family absolutely loved our stay.
Very noisy and the room next to my room was having a party till 9 am and I spoke with the receptionist but nothing happened. This hotel is not appropriate for family I advise to stay away from it
Super clean and tidy. Very professional staff. Beautiful decor.
Amazing , first class hotel as normal with this hotel chain staff are amazing, best hotel in Cairo by far
Long weekend
First of all I would like to say the hotel not for family at all, it’s such a noisy uncomfortable place to stay at , too many escorts , lobby very crowded with unpleasant females ( escorts ). As for the booking I didn’t get my king bed room , they apology was upgrade me to golden floor which is pretty similar to the other floor, even the BF was chargeable , but thanks for Mr Omar he waived one day breakfast , apart from that I didn’t have any fruits in my room yet it simple thing to do to make the guest feel good. I wasn’t very happy at my days and it’s my fist visit to Cairo. Won’t go to that property again. NOT For FAMILY and decent people
Excellent location, not suitable for families ;)!
The staff are very helpful and professional
Great staff. Fix problems I had quickly
Hotel room was great and the service was excellent!! From the front desk to the wait staff and cleaners, they were all amazing. Breakfast was superb. We had tours book so they allowed us to take to go boxes and fill the containers from the buffet which was great! The hotel was so clean and very modern. (No renovations needed). The pool was great on the top of the hotel and lunch out there was great too). The gym had everything you would need to work out including a Pilates machine. We had the pleasure of eating at all the restaurants and the wait staff and food were excellent. We did tours everyday (we came in May so very hot) the best part was coming back to a spectacular hotel. One plus was that they are attached to a mall which contains a Starbucks. I’m lactose intolerant and love oat milk, it was an added plus I was able to get a coffee every morning (open at 7am weekdays) just the way I like it!
The room was not as agreed. It was partial view of the Nile. Although, I was checked in in the morning but receptionist Mariam wasn't friendly. The same receptionist was at the check out and gave me a hard time until her colleague Hussain interference and was very professional. The bathroom was great as well as the lobby.
All the staff are courteous excellent location and breakfast is very good lots of choices I will Surely stay again in this hotel
Very clean very friendly staff very conveniently located
The customer service was EXCEPTIONAL. The staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend this hotel.
Good location, lovely room, good service !
Great hotel. Staff were all wonderful. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful safe friendly place large rooms waterfall elevator in lobby HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Outstaning facilities and excellent service.
Great hotel. Dining options limited.
Dissatisfied and disappointed
They could not trace my booking. I don’t know whose fault it was Hotels.com or Fairmont. That messed up entire day. Ultimately it got fixed and they found it 4 hrs later. The food at the lounge of club level was ordinary and the service was way below I expected.
Poor service & not good for family
The reception are not professional also everywhere asking for tip. The environment not good at all for family. Poor service and not reflecting fairmont brand as other countries
Beautiful lobby and room. The one thing that was a real pain in the neck were the door locks. Every guest we saw on our floor (including ourselves) struggled to unlock the doors with the door keys. We had to go downstairs for help at least 5 times within 24 hours just to get into our room with the door keys. I really wish they would change to an easier-to-use door key. I was unclear if breakfast was included with my stay - and online it seemed that the only restaurant open for breakfast was an Italian restaurant, so I ordered room service for breakfast. Then a gentleman in my elevator later that morning suggested I go to the breakfast buffet in the restaurant as it was quite spectacular. I was bummed that I missed out on it and wished for a little bit more clarity going forward.
The location is beautiful, very clean rooms, the staff is very helpful special thanks to Christine/ concoerge.
Beautiful hotel and the rooftop pool is amazing!! Highly recommend this hotel!!
Lobby area was large and they had numerous employees in lobby area to help.
Lovely hotel - felt safe.
The property itself is just gorgeous and easily one of the nicest ive ever stayed at. Full luxury. The front desk staff arw on point but the service in the restwruanta and the bara is vwry poor. Not up to the fairmont standard. Expect to wait around a lot when there is twice as many ataff as customers and dont expect your order to be right. Thry seem consistently disunterested in your experiance there.
Overall our stay at the Fairmont hotel was excellent. The room we had was very clean and comfortable and the staff were always pleasant and helpful. The food and drink in the executive lounge was plentiful and prepared to a high standard and the staff were attentive and friendly. We could not have asked for a better experience
This property was well maintained and very nice! I am really picking about hotels and this one passed the test remarkably! Although there was some noise the first few nights with a outside party, my room was very comfortable and clean! Ask to be on a floor where Ali cleans! He was very attentive to ensure my room as spotless and refreshed after my outings and touring in Egypt! The staff is really nice and professional. Room service as prompt and courteous! The location for shopping and really getting a since of the city is okay but not like you would get around Giza Plaza. However, this place is very comfortable.
From when we first checked in to when we checked out, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.
The property was great. I had a Nile view room that was amazing. The service was great. I wish I had more time to try more of the restaurants and enjoy the live entertainment. I spent a day at the pool and the food was delicious. They had a live DJ that really set the vibe. All of the bartenders were great. I really enjoyed my stay.
Absolutely LOVED my stay here! Every staff member was so professional, polite and courteous. Special shout out to Sarah and Dina for making it so very special for me. All their advice and help really streamlined everything and made my stay that much more memorable. Restaurants and cafe at the hotel had tasty food and the waiters gave good recommendations. Rooms were clean, beautiful and luxurious. Shower and bedding were unforgettably delightful. I loved the Nespresso machine in the room and its pods were always restocked without me needing to ask. Down service was very nice. I was provided a free room upgrade, early check-in and late check out. Even the men working in housekeeping were super sweet and kind. So easy to grab an uber from the hotel. And all the uber drivers knew the hotel very well, so it was never a hassle to get back to the hotel or wait for a driver to arrive. Location was very safe outside and inside. I liked that there was always a hotel staff member standing at the entrance and at the elevators. As a solo female traveler, this really made me feel secure. I cannot emphasize the peace of mind I had with them standing there at all times! All in all a 10 out of 10. I will be recommending this hotel to family and friends visiting Cairo! Thank you to everyone working at the Fairmont Nile City for such a lovely stay!
5 stars in eveyway
It was very luxurious stay. We booked a suite, the vip service was great and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We had dinner at Saigon. The sushi was delicious and the schezuan beef was good as well, yet too spicy for my taste.
Service and lack of professionalism is not what I’d expect from The Fairmont. To start, we paid for a Nile view, but there was a big wall blocking the view of the Nile. We told them this is not what we paid for when we booked, they said we have to pay extra for a full view. Staff was not the friendly and welcoming staff I’ve experienced at other Fairmont locations around the world. Often times I found myself greeting the staff, rather than the other way around. On one occasion I saw employees screaming and arguing with each other in front of guests. The second you step outside they constantly hound you to book a taxi. I had to tell an employee three times I did not want a taxi, I already had a car coming to pick me up. They gave me that feeling of being in a touristy area, being hounded to buy souvenirs. This place definitely does not meet the standards that I’d expect from The Fairmont brand. Makes me question if this is a brand I can trust for future travel.
Overall a good experience Only issue is that the calls are not answered by front desk.... That was quite frustrating as we had to call the operator to ask for a call back.... Not exaggerated but it happened every time I needed to call them
FABULOUS! Great room, fantastic facilities and staff and clean pool and all resturants served fresh and very tasty food.
Wonderful staff.
The hotel staff is wonderful in accommodating all your needs. All the services were done with care. I enjoyed my stay and as a solo female I recommend this beautiful hotel. Hope to stay there again.
Rough start but turned out to be amazing
The room was a smoking room while we’ve asked for non smoking and we were told it has been changed; we checked the room the moved us to and it was still a smoking room with not clean tables so we complained next morning; they apologised and moved us to a much better room with full view on the Nile; from then onwards everything was arranged perfectly apart from the loud music noise late night
