Our stay at this hotel was as expected. It was a bit run down, but at least clean. We needed to use the pull-out couch and while we were able to get sheets, there were no clean blankets or pillows available for us. That would have made the trip better. The staff at the front desk was very courteous and tried to help us as best as they could.
Don’t stay here! No maid service, scary other customers, no hangers, no coffee machine, bathroom floor was sticky, staff was lazy and unhelpful.
Great location and price. Room clean, comfy bed. Although it has a kitchen, you have to ask for kitchen supplies, even cups, I actually liked this , so I knew that all dishes they gave me were clean and sanitized. But it would have been nice to have some dish soap. They have a security guard in the parking area which was nice, felt safe. Big downside was they did NOT have an ice machine.. you had to make it in the freezer,,which then wasn't ready for use. So BRING ICE.
The staff are super nice & incredible! Very easy to talk to. The rooms were cute but dirty the sheets looked like they hadn't been changed there was human hair all over them but other than that it was a great stay :)
The shower had no water. The front desk promised to send a maintenance man who never arrived. I went to work without a shower.
Basic but very clean and staff were great
Clean and smooth!
The front desk receptionist was great. Location is exceptional to Lady Bird Lake for enjoying a morning walk and downtown just across the Colorado River! Will definitely return!!
I was quite disappointed with the service I’ve received. It was not genuine and didn’t offer the extra step to help you solve a problem. The pillows were terrible like it didn’t even seem like it was a pillow. The worse part was on my last morning, they forgot to tell me that the water was going to be turned off and I had to use wipes and a face towel instead of being able to take a shower. The hotel overall is fine for the price you’re paying but the quality of service isn’t there.
This property is below average. I don't think they have the traveler in mind. No filtered drinkable water available, no spoons for oatmeal, poor quality coffee. I think they purposely have poor coffee so no one will drink it, I walked 1.5 miles to get Starbucks. Over priced for what they provide, it just adequate. It's will do the job for an overnight stay, no good for a longer stay.
I had a really good stay.
Beautiful Caring, peaceful quiet, flexible clean.. My. Favorite...Extended. Stay, thus. Far... Thank. You. So. Much....
The room seemed unprepared for visitors. Burnt out light fixtures, dirty floors, dirty bathroom. Toilet paper not restocked in the room. Location was perfect. Everything that we needed was within walking distance. We used to stay here for ACL fest. This was our first visit to this hotel in a couple of years and very disappointing.
Very nice hotel
Breakfast was pathetic plastic single use utensils and serving packets only fresh fruit were black bananas Amerika is obese and unhealthy because of this type of poisonous foods Otherwise hotel is ok except for vending machines that have nothing but expensive water
Great desk staff, I should’ve known better to book downtown on a Friday night.
The hotel had a certain smell, almost of that mold, the bathroom tub was not as clean as it needed to be, on the last night of my stay the smoke alarm in my room began to beep due to low battery.
Property is run down and smelly. Great location is the only redeeming feature.
There were roaches in my room. Disgusting don’t stay
Location is reachable with direct bus from airport, close to the big park, close to river, in a retreat like quite area, downtown is a short walk across the bridge. Room was nice, clean, good size, very comfortable bed. Staffs were super nice, allowed me to leave luggage and WiFi before check in and a late check out due to some things i was dealing with, helpfulto get change, give snack bar after breakfastwaa closed. Has a guest lounge, which not every extended stay has, plus the signature kitchennet definitely one of the best budget accomondation in town. It was a wonderful stay and thanks to the awesome staffs.
Great place friendly staff
Stay was good for one night
Walking distance to city
Self contained room was very clean and spacious. Quiet area and lots of parking. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Needs an update
The hotel is very old and run down. The lobby and hallways smelled really bad. I held my breath getting to my room. Luckily the room did not smell. the interior of the room is very dated and beat up, including the bathroom. I will say the bed seemed okay. I try to spend as little as time as possible in the room. Luckily it was just a 2 night stay.
The whole environment felt unsafe for downtown Austin. I left 3 hours after I checked in to find another hotel. The facilities are old and worn. There is an unusual amount of security in the lobby. THe rooms are shotty. Bed was terrible. Pillows awful.
Go down the road
The building requires renovation. Bath towels are worn and need replacing. The bathtub is dirty and the shower curtain does not cover the tub. Water from the shower drains to the floor. No coffee was available in the morning. Grab-and-go muffins are outdated. No p[lated or utensils in the kitchen.
Property unkept
Room was smelly and beat up and it was only a fraction cheaper the much nicer hotels across the river
Really good room!
The room was clean, amazing location and really quiet for anyone who’s trying to stay in the city. Highly recommend this hotel!
The lobby and second floor hallway have an overwhelming smell of marijuana, feces, and sewer. There was trash all over the ground and what looked like piles of feces. It looked like the homeless drug addicts were being housed there. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Never felt safe. Complimentary breakfast was disgusting.
It’s cheap and not a 5 star hotel, but value is very high. Nice area nice staff. Parking was free. Recommend.
My $2000 E bike was stolen the first night.
Simple but nice studio suite.
The hotel has basic amenities and the breakfast was to-go style consisting of muffins, instant oatmeal, bananas, oranges + coffee, which was fine with us. Other than some stained spots on the carpet, the room was clean, the bed was very comfy and very quiet overnight. The kitchenette was a nice extra, especially the fridge which we used for leftovers. The location is awesome and very convenient with easy access to major roads and is close to some of Austin's many attractions. For the price, the suite was a good value.
Near many attractions of Austin such as kayaking, the bat watching area, 6th Street.
Great hotel!
The hotel was really nice and the staff was great! Had a slight problem, but one of the girls worked really hard to fix it and I really appreciated it!! Overall stay was great after!!
Was a great place to stay and be able to walk to Auditorium shores and also very close to downtown and Zilker Park. The room had a full sized fridge with an actual working freezer, microwave, all clean. Overall great value and I would definitely stay there again.
Low budget at high prices
EXCELLENT
Horrible
It was convenient location for our needs
I got bit by fleas
Old not functioning
The key card to room had to be activated every time I step out. Very old location. Felt like a run down hotel. Representatives at front desk don’t care, not friendly at all. No smile. No Hello how are you .. nothing. My door to my room broken in the bottom. Just pay a lil extra please not worth it at all. There’s no breakfast here neither, just a horrible strong coffee
Great room
Dirty sofa couch, bad breakfast
Very nice staff.
Disappointed
The hotel was fine, but definitely wouldn’t stay there again. Everything is outdated and half of our room was falling apart or chipped, cracked, or otherwise just not great. The bed was like sleeping on plywood! I’ve had such good experiences with this brand of hotel in the past, it was a really big let down. The staff was friendly and helpful when I needed them but the quality of the stay was sub par.
Maybe it's ok for the Gen Z crowd...
Understandably, an older hotel is going to have some run down aspects to it. I don't take issue with that, except that things tend to have a funky smell. My oldest son kept asking me "why does it smell like that"? Our room was not cleaned well, there was hair on the counter of the bathroom sink, as well as food in the fold out bed all over the mattress. We asked for a vacuum when we went down for sheets and cleaned it up. I am not sure if the floors get mopped in the kitchen and bathroom, it didn't seem like it. It's the cheapest hotel around the area (great location for doing Austin things), but that gets you a pretty wide variety of folks staying there, some doing not very family friendly things (elevator smelled like marijuana most of the time). The staff is polite enough, there is a grab and go coffee and breakfast. Although there is a kitchen and fridge, you need to go down and ask for dishes, silverware, etc. The shower curtain wasn't long enough to keep water from splashing out. Bed was moderately comfortable (fold out sofa wasn't, but that's almost always the case), sheets and towels clean. Overall, we wouldn't stay here again but it wasn't so bad we checked out immediately, although my husband did ask if we could check out a day early...
Clean and convenient to downtown & Auditorium Shores.
The room was very shabby, no remote, hair dryer broken, dirty carpet and sofa, uncomfortable bed, lots of noise and people shouting in the hall in the middle of the night, light over the bathroom mirror not working so hard to see. This place badly needs an update. Great location and staff was friendly
The only reason they get to change as much as they do is because of the location. Hallways reeked like Marijuana.
very old hotel, needs a renovation.
Very old hotel, smells food all room and needs an update urgently. We paid the most in compare other hotels having the lest.
It was fine, but the room smells weird and the bathroom didn’t look clean
AC unit and refrigerator in Rm 123 rattled loud most of the night.
Older property and basic room --we did not use the kitchen but mostly picked the property due to location. Did not spend much time on the property.
Not a friendly staff. Charged lots of hidden fees.
Not very clean outside or inside
Clean and comfortable
Nothing fancy but was perfect for our trip. Clean and comfortable. Has nice amenities in the room to make a longer stay even more comfortable.
Like it
I felt unsafe and immediately left this hotel. They need to increase security and patrol their lot.
Nothing fancy, but good enough.
Clean, nothing fancy—perfect for a short stay for business. Just across the bridge from all that downtown has to offer. A little odd that there were not pans, plates, etc in a room with full kitchen. I am an early riser, so no big deal for me, but back if hotel got pretty noisy after 7 am.
Dirty: trash under the bed, dirty bedsheets. Very nice front desk lady.
Smelled very smoky when we arrived. Several homeless people all around property. The location is very convenient but I don’t plan to stay here again.
The property could use some updating, but overall the room wasn’t in terrible shape and the location was good.
Close to a lot of things.
Not a great stay this time.
Usually, my stay at this Extended Stay hotel is good, not a 5 start but great for the value. This time, the hallway carpet was dirty with dry mud and the restroom tub was dirty with dry dirt. Staff was great, but hotel cleanliness was definitely not. This made our stay uncomfortable.
What happened to having a hairdryer in the room. Usually its expected so you don't need to bring one. Then at 2 am some staff member is fumbling trying to open my door. Which woke me up. I stated occupied.and the staff member says im sorry i thought this room was open. I saw her through to door peep hole.
The location is very convenient. However besides that, everything is terrible. First room that was given, the bath tub was rusty and has blood stains. Cigarette Smell of the room. Requested to change the room and was given far, close to the exit door which is fine but the room- bed and pillow were very uncomfortable. Water was cold, seems no hot water. Whilst resting for the night, someone opened our room door and was able to get in. The receptionist gave the same key card number. I called but no sense of apology for the mistake. It’s uncomfortable stay in totality. It’s just the location is close to the river and the bus stations.
won't stay there again.
when i arrived there were about 7-10 men hanging around in the check in area (on the floor, leaning against walls, etc.). it was late at night, so i don't think they were waiting for a room to be ready, but as a single woman walking up, i had to ask the front desk person if i was safe. the hallways were dimly lit. the carpet on the floor was pulled up in areas and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. there was a small roach in the bathroom area on the sink. the faucet in the shower ran nonstop and could not get turned off.
Dirty - dead cockroach in the hallway. Homeless people outside in the parking lot and living at the hotel. Rude dismissive staff.
Convenient stay
Tubs need to cleaned/ repaired. I don’t think anyone should be comfortable with showering on rust .
The property is in a great location so that is what I loved the most. But the actual hotel is not so great. Very outdated and beds are super uncomfortable they are Maybey 5” thick spring mattress and hardly any support. There is no breakfast just fiber bar and some fruit
Find somewhere else!
I would NOT stay here again. The entire place smelled like cigarette smoke. The attendants didn't attend to anything -- my sink was leaking/dripping all night. The shower curtain wasn't long enough to stop water inside the shower, and the yapping dog next door drove me nuts. Horrible experience.
Parking lot not so good
Good enough for price.
Due to Grand Prix in town, hotel rates were INSANE. For the regular price, this hotel is clean and comfortable enough (though the pull out sofa was ridiculous—don’t plan on the suite sleeping more than 1 bed’s worth if you can avoid it). Nice having a full kitchen if needed, and the location was great—walking distance to moody theatre and downtown. If you want amenities, this is likely not the place for you. If practical and affordable is your goal, this will do it for you. Free parking for folks staying there , and pretty low priced for inner Austin. Can you get less expensive? Maybe. Can you get nicer? Certainly, but in my experience visiting Austin, you’ll likely pay double, triple or more—plus daily parking.
Hotel had nothing . No coffee, no breakfast, no phone chargers. Staff was friendly but kinda weird. Hotel where people my live weekly. Entire place smelled like cigarettes. Don’t recommend, especially for $188 for one night !
Close to downtown
Entire room felt dirty
The room had an overpowering smell of Fabulosa. It was like someone just dumped a bunch on the floor to cover something up because the floor was still sticky in some areas and slick in others. The room and carpet were damp, and it felt very unsanitary everywhere. The towels had long black hairs on them, as well as on the toilet seat. Overall, I felt gross being in there.
Toilet didn’t work and pillows were hard as rocks. Other than that very clean and location was perfect.
We picked this hotel because of its location to ACL Music Festival. It’s about 1.5 miles to the front gates and was perfect. A little old hotel but the staff was amazing to get us taken care of! Be nice to them and they will try their best to move mountains for you and they did for us!
They not even have breakfast, os not worth it and it is expensive
Walkable to congress ave and lady bird lake trail.
I loved this property. No complaints.
Not a venue for a couples trip
Dirty and run down
There were suspicious clientele here that made our stay uncomfortable. A woman shouting from the second floor window for us to call the police, there were homeless people hanging-out in the parking lot, which was full of trash. The bathrooms were needing remodeling. And they don’t provide room service except for every 2 weeks which we weren’t made aware of upon checking in. Entry and hallways were filthy, It was a fend for yourself type hospitality. Beds were comfortable and ac was good.
No frills hotel. That said excellent value. Property was clean and service was above average for the price range.
The door to enter was torn off and there was poop in the hallway- yes poop!
N/A
Stayed here several years
Could be a lot cleaner and renovated, but ok for one night.
Nice and quiet
I didn't care for the cleaning process they use. Finding dead bugs in cabinet.
DO NOT STAY HERE!
Very uncomfortable. Smell was terrible. The light kept going out in the bathroom. Plugs didn’t work or were loose and cord kept falling out. Bed was uncomfortable. No one was around to help us. And when I tried to address these concerns with the front desk she was rude and dismissed me. Homeless people and drug users outside, did not feel safe.
This is absolutely dirty hotel. There are bed bugs. I definitely would not recommend this place. The woman at the front desk is not helpful and has poor customer service. Horrible experience.
The hotel itself had a horrible smell inside. The doors didn’t properly work. The electrical outlets didn’t work. And there was not hot water. I’m guessing after a certain time they have hot water. No ice/water machine either.
Grear location
If it wasn’t for the wonderful staff I would give this place a 0! Our room was clean but we had no hot water and the tub wouldn’t drain properly. I didn’t bother asking for another room because I stayed one night. I just took the kids to the room my parents were staying in to shower. The pull out couch was so gross! The mattress was stained and horrible! It was so uncomfortable my neck and back hurt from using it! The kids didn’t want to use it as it was right in front of the ac and they got cold. The staff was super helpful tho they were amazing!
Nice
When we checked in, we were given a room that had throwup all over it when we walked in. We went to the front desk and they immediately apologized and changed our room, but just thinking about that first experience made the whole place feel icky.
Upon arrival staff rude. 7:00 pm 7/26. Room dirty People wandering halls loud. Looked as if lots were long time living there. Strong smoke smell in room
Decent place, though kinda pricey for the condition, I assume due to its location. We were originally sent to a dirty room that hadn't yet been prepped for new guests. This was quickly rectified and we were assigned a new room. Decent aside from some little things, like a trash bag that had been tied around the shower head to seemingly stop a leak. Those things are expected in cheap motels in the bad parts of town, not for a hotel we're spending more than $500 on for just a couple nights. But the location was perfect for what we needed and the staff were very friendly.

I wouldn’t do it again
Good convenient location and good piece but seemed very unclean, smelled bad, service wasn’t overly friendly.
