Area in general is pretty rough . Hotel very clean and great staff. UPGRADE bathroom towels!
Very helpful stuff Worthy price
None
Rooms were very clean and staff (Joy) was extremely nice and helpful but the corridors (10th floor) smelled like a smoking room. Also yoo many aggressive people loitering in front of the hotel
I always like this hotel its my third time to stay here.very convenient in everything.the staff are very friendly and approchable.
excellent
Clean friendly central hotel
We found the hotel to be close to everything The staff were really friendly and helpful If we had to grumble the bath shampoo was difficult to get from the dispenser and quite low quality Everything else excellent
Service is good and professional.
I have stayed in this property prior to COVID when they were just starting the renovations. I think they did a good job on the renovations, modern and up to date. tried other Hotels in the area that cost less...mistake. For the price of this Hotel...great value. Excellent staff.
The staff are respectful and service were excellent. There has no television service for two days out of 3 days stays. Food menu were outdated.
Every Was good
Worst 3 star hotel
Room- smells smoke even after they spray Parking, you need to park on the other hotel. Need to argue with the security to get a parking inside, otherwise they'll put you on the street. Next time, if it's a 3 star hotel or higher, the "no parking" Condition MUST BE on Top of all information. Don't say blah blah blah and put on the end that there's no parking on site. People are expensive a 3 star hotel to have a parking.
The hotel is a nice, comfortable, staff are very nice BUT the Wi-Fi is TERRIBLE. They have disclaimers in the elevators that blame the Internet Service Provider. Well its time to change your ISP. No excuse! I previously stayed at the hotel next to them and there was nothing wrong with the Wi-Fi there. If you have to work from the hotel you will have problems. If you don't need Wi-Fi then definitely stay here.
Upon arrival found out there was not hot water except for the shower. It had been off since April and I arrived in May
Need new refrigerator. Need more hangers. Too weak mobile phone signal.
No facial tissue or facial towels. Breakfast was limited to a selection. I could have stayed in a better place for what I payed.
Very clean ,very quiet
I find comfort during my stay in the hotel knowing that i was alone! Will probably go back again!🙏🙏🙏
Cockroaches
Not compared with abu dhabi hotels,
Staff and security were very friendly and made for a great stay. Only complaint would be that they can be a little nitpicky about certain things. Ex: at check out giving me a hard time about a teaspoon and dental glass missing, which was likely picked up by housekeeping. Aside from that, a very enjoyable experience.
Be warned
The place is super smokey everywhere your room, the hallways, its heavy. Water in shower is luke warm at best and we like a hot shower. The room we had had no view just pipes and brick walls. The location and size of the room are fine and the place seems safe but the only thing we liked were the housekeeping workers and the location. When we first got there we had booked for a week and wanted our money back or to pay for just one day but they refused any changes. Internet is spotty and super slow at times.
Good Hotel
The bathroom had black mold, and the bed was extremely hard on my hips and shoulders.
Very convenient for shopping and going back to airports
Good location for Malate.
Good hotel
Nice place
This is my first choice hotel every time in Manila. The staff is top notch. They speak great English and are customer service oriented. I had a late night flight my last day and they gave me a late checkout time of 6pm for what I feel is a reasonable price. They stored my luggage for no charge during a 2-day side trip. Location is great with laundry, money changers and a 7-11 all next door. A shopping mall and restaurants are a 3 minute walk away. The hotel is not 5 star but the service is. What they do, they do well. I’ll stay here again.
I’ve stayed here many times. This time, as always, the staff speaks great English and ensure everything is in order. They’re always willing to help with directions, advice, and ride services. Security is helpful and takes their work seriously. I rate amenities as average because no room extras are provided, but the basics are in great condition. Location is awesome. Robinson Mall with great restaurants is a 3 minute walk. Laundry and money changer are next door. Decent casino is across the street. I’ll stay here again.
Very comfortable, very clean. Great staff. The room had only 2-prong electrical outlets so you will need an adaptor to charge a laptop. Laundry service is way too expensive...cheaper to buy new underwear and socks. The location is good in that it is close to Robinson's and various restaurants, but bad in that it is in the middle of a red light district. The effect of that is lots of prostitutes hanging around and lots of drunk Chinese guys making moves on your wife because they think she's a prostitute too. Other than that, it's a fine hotel.
The hotel is on excellent location it’s situated close to Robinson shopping mall and lots bars near bay Some of the staff can speak broken English you have to make sure they understand your request sometimes they shake their head making you think they did understand but in many aspects they had no idea what you been talking about
Excellent staff. In house restaurant had good prices and food.
Best room for the Value
In my opinion, the Plaza Hotel is the best hotel for the money in Malate. The rooms are very clean and well kept. All of the rooms have been recently renovated.
Property is very clean and modern and well lite. Very well maintained and very good bargain for the price. Convenient location
One night in malate
All was good, had a minor issue with the aircon not working properly and called downstairs and within a few minutes someone showed up and swapped it out and I was back in business within 15 min.. the staff were all pleasant as usual, a decent hotel for sure.
Room is spacious. Security is tight which is great. The only thing I want to ask to improve is to issue 2 door keys, it's kinda hard for the guest. But security wise, it's good.
They gave me a smoking room when I requested for a non smoking. They didnt want to change my 20 dollars for taxi, they said cause I already checked out and was their company policy. But i said it didnt say that on your currency board, but i was told cause it was only 20usd is the reason. They wanted a currency that was 50usd or more. I have been a regular customer and used this hotel alot.,but now I have told my staff to book me to another hotel.in the future travels.
Convenient
you get what you pay for
Good location. Plenty of night life and restaurants. Walking distance to robinsons mall. Convenient location to intramuros and airport.
One night in Malate
Stayed here for one night while passing through. Been here a couple times in the past. The hotel rooms are being updated which is nice. The beds are more comfortable now... A decent hotel in an area that is good for some nightlife and easy to meet a friend for the evening.
basic room, small TV
room on street side very noisy...
close to shopping
Excellent friendly staff. Go all out for your comfort. Super location.
Close to shopping centre. The room I was in was at the front so there was a lot of outside noise
Hotel is ok
Hotel is ok for over night stay downstairs looks nice and Morden rooms are fine but air con old fashioned and bathroom need up graded
OK HOTEL
LOCATED IN NIGHT LIFE ARE HOTEL HAS VERY STRANGE POLICIES THEY PROVIDE KETTLE BUT NO TEA COFFEE SACHETS WHEN THE MAKE ROOM THEY DON'T CLEAR CUPS/GLASSES. BREAKFAST IS ON ORDER, OK; BUT VERY LIMITED CHOICE.
Good Trip. Need to have Irons in room so guess can Iron cloths if wrinkled.
Pleasant stay
Only disappointment is upon arriving at almost mid-nite and was told rooms are not ready and that we have to wait! Room is nice & modren after renovation but no hot-water in the morning thru out my 4 days staying there. Overall still a pleasant stay as room is nice & staff are friendly.
bad trip
the room is not comfortable.bathroom is small.house keeping very poor.price is not worth it.there are many hotels near by much better and cheaper.only the bed is comfortable
Excellent Value
As regular BUDGET traveller - its BEST
very nice
the food was excellent; the room boys served with a smile and the car rental service was on time. wifi service was so fast
Good stay though not perfect
Let me start by pointing out that the upgraded rooms are about the same size as the regular rooms but has semi-divider to a sitting area, Japanese size half tub and a small kitchen area. The rooms were all redone tastefully. There’s not much to see out of the windows. The staff is excellent. Bed is comfortable and the shower works well.
Manila
Pleasent staff good overall service onlynlet down room service provided by the restaurant
Plumbing issues, wet toilet area when have shower
The owners need to fix drainage issues. The room 805 I stayed in one night was not really habitable. No remedy or room swop was offered. So we left. Otherwise a good quality hotel. They need to offer free coffee in room and a complimentary breakfast also. If the drainage issue was fixed I may return if I had business nearby.
Toilet area floods when have a shower, no free cof
I am very disappointed in the plumbing in Manila hotel experiences. The rooms have problems, it's a wonder that any tourists would tolerate my experiences here. The wifi was intermittent. Couldn't even get an intelligent skype voice message on wifi. I would prefer a 500-1000p accommodation - in my previous experience the plumbing there was ok. I got free coffee at every other hotel in the world I have been to, but not this one. I have to cancel my second nights booking here. However I did like the aircon - it worked. The TV was small however. The room was deluxe - I expected free breakfast. I had the impression that was what I booked. Maybe I expect too much - The lobby was so nice, the staff very professional. I am now so surprised that the toilet paper was for free is all, lol. - Maybe I didn't bother complaining about the wifi. After all I have to find another hotel that works properly.
Average
Very average hotel. Biggest problem is location. Very noisy because of street traffic with cars continuously blowing their horns. Hot water in shower pretty much non existent. Luke warm 90% of the time. Okay overall for the price but if noise and street chaos bother you I would probably recommend paying a little more and heading elsewhere (and yes I have been to quieter, nicer places in Manila!)
NOISY in my room
I stayed in room 1113, the room and hotel is nice, but the window are the old type and was broken, WOULD NOT SHUT or CLOSE and the traffic kept me up all night,, this place needs new insulated windows, I noticed they do have them from the street view , not recommended if you like your sleep, I needed it
It's a nice room and comfy
The food is not good the shirmp is under cook the fries is under cook.
nice and comfortable rooms
rooms were nice and comfy staff were great but the parking is a problem ...you have to park at another block and walk back to hotel they share parking with another hotel so inconvenient specially when it rains ..
Always good to stay at the Executive!
Enjoyed the hotel. Always stay there when in Manila. I will go back again!
nice stay
Nice stay all the rooms has been remodeled except for the restrooms, stay here three to four times a year will stay again, best room for the price in the area, free wifi lots of t.v channels.....
Excellent and extraordinary nice
Very very nice hotel. Lobby is fantastic. Room was very spacious. Bathroom excellent. Amenities and toiletteries great for a family. During our 2 night stay we experienced a tremendous thunderstorm, that blowed out the internet. So next morning "everybody" Sat in the lobby, the only spot with a connection. My only real "problem" was all those vendors right outside the entrance, that jumped on top of you trying to push watches, "gold and diamonds" and all kinds of fakes on you. Had to push away a bunch every time you wanted to go out. Not very nice when you bring small kids. ph.hotel.com got me a very nice discount, made the overall stay extraordinary. I will highly recommend this hotel to all.
Okay
Close to shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is next to a busy road which is very noisy and you can hear traffic all evening, not adequately clean (hairs still in shower).
Value for money
One of the better ones in the area. Reasonably priced. Great location, close to everthing. Robinson 3 minutes walk, casino across the road, lots of bars, karoake, clubs within a radius of 10 minutes walk. Definitely staying here again if ever back to Manila. Highly recommended.
going downhill
I have been staying here twice a year for the last three years accumulating a total of about 45 nights. The neighborhood is what it is. There is a gauntlet of beggars and street hustlers that you must pass through to walk anywhere. Where to walk? I go to Manila Baywalk for a morning jog most days and then to the Robinsons mall supermarket almost daily. Both are about a quarter mile from the hotel. On this trip, I encountered leaky toilets, a tippy fridge (fridge would tip forward when penning the door), late housekeeping, and an apparent shortage of shampoo. When I asked about getting shampoo they told me they ran out and maybe tomorrow they will have it. I told them there is no maybe about it and forced them to find some shampoo. It took almost 2 hours. Dieing this stay I encountered loud guests in the hall at 3am. I dobt think the hotel is to blame but it points to the nature of the current crop of guests maybe. I enjoyed my stays here more three years ago and sadly I think their service is deteriorating enough that it's time to find a new place to stay every six months when I am here.
always a good choice
I have stayed here many many times in the past. it is in an exciting part of Ermita with plenty to do at night and safe to walk. I have always been pleased here but i did notice that the doormen were not as pleasant and helpful as in the past. Hotel seemed very empty when i stayed there but still great room with tv, warm shower and refrigerator. Always a comfortable stay here with easy check in and check out. Rooms very clean and comfortable and spacious. Easy walk to Robinson's mall and Ritzal park. good wifi.
Hotel in the heart of Malate
The hotel staff were very helpful during check in. The room were clean and recently renovated which is a plus. Location can't be beat , but I recommend that you ask for higher floors due to the traffic noise. My over all experience is that I would stay here again.
over all the hotel is very nice.
at first i was so disappointed because i requested non smoking room. when i check in they gave me the 15th floor smoking area. and gave me a headache smells so bad for the smoke by cigars and cigarrettes. i just can't immagine for the inconvenient for that night.
Newly Renovated Hotel
The room assigned to me was newly renovated with a more modern design which I'm comfortable with. Room is quite small but clean. Bed and bed linens are of premier quality which makes the bed comfortable.
Always stay at Executive Plaza, close to everything, staff are pleasant, rooms are always clean.
Nice hotel, close to everything in Angeles
I stayed here for two nights. I had the hotel arrange a pickup for me from the airport in Manila. The driver was great. He met me right outside the terminal, no problems. I also used the hotel service for my trip back to Manila, also, no problems. The room itself is nice, very comfortable. Nice desk area to work. The bathroom has glass walls so you can see the whole room when you're showering, but it also has a curtain if you want privacy. I thought this was quite nice. The bar on the roof has great views of the city.
Regulars
Executive Plaza has been our go-to hotel for the past 4 visits to the Philippines! The friendly staff help make us feel at home. There's good wifi in the rooms. And with the Robinsons mall within a very short walking distance, you have convenient access to shopping, movies, and eateries!!
Parking was supposed to be available but as it turned out it was only for their employees and the owner. They did have parking at their sister hotel a block away but it wasn't free.
Clean facility, great staff, Small room
I stayed for one night. The locations is nice. It was a 5 minute walk to the Mall of Asia. Staff there wete very pleasant. The room was small and everything at breakfast was cold.
Nice hotel but strange updates to rooms
Have been staying at Exec Plaza and its sister hotels Palm and Las Palmas for years. Price is OK and rooms always seem clean and comfortable. Exec Plaza rooms have recently been updated/modernized. Strangely, they have installed a window in the wall between the shower and the room. The window has a blind that can be opened and closed only from the room side! i.e. someone in the room can open the blind while you are in the shower and there's nothing you can do about it. Also the bathroom door is now glass and the top and bottom sections are not frosted - again a privacy issue. Stupidly, the glass bathroom door now opens outwards requiring them to put a stopper on the hotel room door to prevent it clashing with the bathroom door. Not a lot of thought went into this "upgrade". Poor concept and design all round. Rooms are still comfortable and clean though. Shower is great - plenty of hot water.
Depends on your room
Given a room that was refused by someone else. Bugs in refrigerator, dirty, no one follows thru just give to next person. Once moved and upgraded was ok. Good location if you like a casino and hookers
disappointed
This was out 6th stay here and will be our last. The hotel has been "renovated", which basically seems to mean they have crammed more rooms into smaller spaces, take every single penny off you and charge you for everything. The rooms used to come with a stocked fridge and complimentary water - this is no more - its empty. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful for example; although advertising the usual 24hr front desk, they refused to change some money for us as it was a shift change and again advertising "airport taxis" this simply meant the doorman flagged down the first taxi to pass the hotel which was not metered and involved a intense few minutes of explaining that we wanted the meter turned on so we would not be ripped off. We had the (again advertised) breakfast, that when received was nothing like what was shown and certainly not worth the money. A shame, as on our first visit to this hotel a few years ago, we like it and returned. We will not do this again. The only thing going for it is its location near Robinson Mall.
Nice hotel near everything and so convenient
its a beautiful renovated hotel Evrything is nice Very Luxurious Taxi s. and jeepneys are available.walking distance to Robinsons Plaza a Big Department Store everything is there from cheaper to Expensive Prices.Restaurants have expensive prices and lower prices. The most delicious and cheaper foods I had was Bacolod Inasa located n the 1st floor walking distance from this hotel I want to stay for 1week without being bored.
Need improvement
The room amenities as well as the housekeeping system is not good. Not because of the staff but because of their policy. The cashier/ staff at the dining station need to learn how to talk with diplomacy and courtesy.
So disappointed, I stay at superior deluxe double room for 3 night, NO COFFEE SETS, ONLY 2 SMALL BOTTLE WATER AT 1 night, then no more, I ask reception, she reply that only 2 bottle for first night only, no matter how many night I stay. Her phone manner also bad.
Close to Robinsons Mall
Good hotel reasonable rate , king size bed not far from Robinsons Mall and LA Cafe.
Friendly hotel
Friendly staff and great location. The newly renovated room was comfortable & with power point by the bed-side, which is very convenient for phone charging. One down-side is the window-blind which they are using, instead of curtain, doesn't block the light fully so it woke me up early morning as I am a very light-sleeper. Would advise to ask for higher floor too as the traffic noise can be a nuisance!
Older hotel with no extras like free breakfast. Not worth the money.
Fhjnn
Great location, clean comfortable rooms and quiet.
Handy to airport restaurant was good
Nice hotel in busy street
This hotel is in front of Manila Casino close to Robinson mall and other night clubs. I wont recommend for any family to stay as the area around the hotel is inappropriate. Staff were excellent check in and out was fantastic. There are too many kids outside the front lonby of the hotel asking for money or food and too many beggars living on the street in front of the hotel. My only concern with the hotel was they didnt had a safe in room.
On our first night, I noticed that our linens and pillowcases looked and smelled "used". It was obviously not replaced with newly washed linens prior to us checking in. Like the other reviews, I also had to wait for 30 min. when we checked in because the room wasn't ready yet. That same night, I called room service to ask for 2 extra towels but never got it. Very tired from travelling, I just didn't bother to hunt down housekeeping to replace our linens. Instead, I just put towels over them and dozed off.
Nice stay
Helpful staff assisted me after I made a mistake when booking the room. Made the stay more comfortable and relaxing.
Pretty decent hotel. Close to shopping and casino.
Was not told not to put items in room fridge. Was made to pay for beer that I bought from outside only because it was like what they had in the minibar. Was told up front to pay in cash instead of credit card which I used to pay at their restaurant. Had to request for room change. Electric shock was running down the window of the bathroom.
good location and decent value.
Normal hotel. Clean but the AC is very old and loud. Small shower. Very convenient location close to mall, restaurants, and nightlife. 7/11 next door.
My stay at the Executive Hotel
The staff was very nice and my room was clean and comfortable.
Executive Hotel is good hotel to stay at!
Have stayed at Executive plaza in Malate, PI, many times. They have just finished remodel of lobby and restaurant areas. It gives the hotel a very warm and welcoming feeling. They have added a bar area which is nice as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and clean and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from a Robinson mall, which makes it easy to shop or find good restaurants. Good hotel for family or single person stays.
I like the security key system.
Interesting and amazing experience. I enjoyed the friendly staff & the good service they provide.
Good Value
Area is a bit seedy but location is good.
Good basic hotel
The Executive Plaza is in a good location and the price is good. While I was in an upgraded room it was not a renovated one so quite dated. It is quite annoying to have to wait 10 minutes for them to check your room before letting you check out.
Good price, close to Robinson Mall
The room was abit dated, loud aircon next to the bed, small bathroom, no views out windows. It was adequate though. They seem to be doing renovations throughout so in 6 months could be much better.
Ok for short stay
Aircon poor circulation. Agrivated alergies. The pool was nice but windy.
Decent hotel/ horrible construction!
Hotel was in a good location close to many sights and bars. (And beggars) We were put on the 7th floor and the entire 8th floor was under construction the entire time we were there. Between construction/hard beds/ outside noise and the crazy noisy Ac we didn't get much sleep for a couple days and I ended up crying over everything on our travel day lol. Staff was friendly and hotel has good security.
I been to lots hotel this was one best
