Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and meals in the restaurant were excellently prepared. A very nice little boutique accommodation. Not a fan of the cold showers and fans in the restaurant would benefit staff and guests.

Comfortable retreat in Mauritius

Quiet location, Clean accommodations. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable and modern

The staff were very pleasant and always helpful. The room was as depicted - spacious and comfortable. It was great to have a choice between a very effective AC or overhead fan. Mon Choisy beach was within easy walking distance and the bus stops are even closer with cheap fares and easy access to Grand Baie and beyond. There are also several restaurants/cafes within walking distance.

3 ème fois et toujours aussi accueillant équipe au top et le chef Jérôme oh top egalement nous y reviendrons l année prochaine sûrement, avec grand plaisir. Merci à toute l'équipe

Coté chambre c'est correct coté restauration pas terrible. Le petit déjeuner est correct.Un petit snaking pour le soir aurai été bien venu. Faire payer la moutarde et autre mayonnaise c 'est petit.

Très bien

Joli petit hôtel paysagé avec tous les services nécessaires : jardin, bar, restaurant, piscine, situé à moins de 10 minutes de la très belle plage de Montchoisy. Le personnel est adorable. Des excursions sont proposées par l hôtel avec un bon rapport qualité-prix.

Séjours en famille

Bon hotel. Nous avons apprécié la convivialité des personnes a l'accueil et du chef cuisinier. Avant notre départ, le propriétaire de l'hôtel a même offert une crêpe a nos enfants. Nous avons pu profiter des palmes, transat et parasol de l'hotel prêté gracieusement. Merci !

Very quick response from the owner when we having problem with overflow water due to good water pressure. No other leakage problems. We were moved to different room

A real gem

This was a superb two day stay. The staff were friendly and most efficient. The food was exceptional and the value of everything outstanding. I can recommend Esprit Libre without reservation.

Friendly king staff

Excellent service. No phone in the room so if you have an issue you need to go down. Breakfast was great but lunch had no taste.

Excellent boutique style guest house. Highly recommend it. Spotlessly clean and 100% COVID ready. Great food and friendly accommodating service. Super peaceful, great atmosphere and most importantly great people and staff. I will be back for sure!

Nice hotel no English tv sports Channels

Excellent hotel and excellent value foe money . For the the only problem was no Engish TV Sports channels and with the World Cup and French Grand Prix that was a problem.

Beautiful, quiet hotel

We stayed for 2 nights at Esprit Libre. We had breakfast, lunch and one evening meal and all our meals were excellent. The small pool was a welcome haven after temperatures of 27 to 30 degrees. We had a junior suite and it was very modern, spacious and very comfortable. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. The free WiFi was especially appreciated - we were able to log on easily and quickly from outside (pool area, bar/restaurant) as well as from our room. Highly recommended.

Small friendly guest house

Stayed four nights in this small friendly guest house. Lovely beach 10 minutes walk away. Main village just under 4k ideal for those who want a few days of peace and relaxation but could become a little boring for longer periods as not much to do other than beach.

Mañana is the right word for this hotel. Everything moves in a slow phase since they are understaffed. Plan ahead when you order drinks or food. Cosy place and nothing wrong with the rooms. Don't accept card payments and you need a Taxi to closest ATM.

J ai séjourné dans cet hôtel pendant mon sejour business. Aillant l habitude d etre en déplacement. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel proche de tout, facile d accès et la flexibilité des horaires du restaurant et de la rapidité du check in et check out merci à l équipe d Esprit Libre

Notre séjour a été vraiment esprits libres avec un accueil chaleureux de Jennie et Raja. très bon service. Chambre tres propres,les personnels tres joviale.le bar et le restaurant excellent.

Détente et Confort ! Je recommande !!!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Esprit Libre. Nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement par Jennie. Le barman nous a fait d'excellent cocktails et le chef nous a régalé lors de notre dîner. La chambre était propre et la literie excellente, c est l' endroit où j' ai le mieux dormi à l île Maurice. Je recommande et je reviendrai lors d'un prochain séjour.

Het is een kleinschalige accommodatie met 12 appartementen. Dat bevalt ons sowieso al erg goed, maar Esprit Libre staat nu hoog op ons favorieten lijstje. Het is een oase van rust op loopafstand van het strand. De kamer had alle voorzieningen. De bar en het restaurant zijn bescheiden maar zeer sfeervol. Het personeel en de eigenaren zijn prettige gastheren gedurende je verblijf. Het ontbreekt er aan niets en alles in mogelijk. Zo heerlijk verbleven daar: top!

Le personnel était très agréable et compétant. La chambre était petite, mal équipée (rien pour poser les valises) mais la salle de bain était grande, propre.

Grosse déception

D’aspect cocoon à l’arrivée , le plaisir est redescendu dès la première nuit. Payer une « chambre luxe » pour se retrouver avec un lit dont 5 lattes étaient cassées et le sommier ne tenant pas sur son support….avec en prime le lavabo de la sdb …dans la chambre. Les wc difficiles d’accès étant eux dans la salle de douche. Le bruit des portes qui claquent, dés chiens qui aboient sans cesse la nuit et de la machine à laver qui essore à 23h45 derrière le mur de la chambre…! Une horreur quand on vient se reposer. Les points positifs sont le sourire et la gentillesse de la serveuse, l’amabilité du serveur , les bons plats du restaurant et le travail de la femme de chambre.

Très bon séjour à Esprit Libre, chambre confortable avec une petite terrasse. Excursions proposées à prix abordables. Très bon restaurant sur place, on recommande pour le déjeuner et le dîner.

Wunderschönes kleines Hotel in der Nähe zum Strand. Jennie und die Anderen sind jederzeit hilfsbereit und immer freundlich. Zimmer war sauber, Bett super bequem. Wir empfehlen es weiter

Very nice little Guesthouse. close to a good beach. Roger is a very nice guy, who cares about the customers! We recommend to stay there, especially when you have a car.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr unkompliziert und angenehm, die Mitarbeiter sind sehr hilfsbereit und wollen allen Wünschen gerecht werden.

We had a very fun stay at this guesthouse. Our room was nice and comfy and got cleaned every day. The breakfast tasted good and the beach is just 5 minutes away. But especially the staff was great, they helped us with every question we had, were always friendly and in a good mood and tried to make our days there special.

Just chill and relax

Superbe accueil et service très agréable, le restaurant est très très bon. Pour profiter au calme d'une ambiance très agréable, et pas trop loin de la plage de Mont Choisy. Petit commerce juste en face au besoin. Les plats sont frais et très bons, et le service au top.

Schönes und sauberes Guest House mit Restaurant, nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Aufgrund der optimalen Lage unweit von Grand Baie empfehlen wir das Esprit Libre gerne weiter!

Personal and cosy hotel

Charming hotel close to several nice beaches and only a short bus or taxi ride away from Grande Baie. There is a few restaurants and shops near by. Staff was sweet and helpful, the breakfast was ok.

Nerviges Hotelpersonal und hunderte Ameisen

Das wohl schlechteste an meinem Aufenthalt im Esprit Libre war, dass ich direkt bei Ankuft aufgefordert wurde den vollen Betrag Bar in € zu zahlen (hier trifft wohl auch Expedia einige Schuld, das hätte man deutlicher vermerken können). Mir war es lieber, den Betrag mit Visa-Karte und ein einheimischer Währung zu zahlen, woraufhin der Eigentümer(?) den absolut lächerlichsten Umrechungskurs von € -> Rupien benutzt hat, um den Betrag zu berechnen, den ich dann mit Visa zahlen sollte, so dass ich letzendlich doch Bar und ich € gezahlt habe Achja, an zweiter Stelle waren wohl die run 200 Ameisen in meinem Zimmer. Das Hotel macht einen auf "gehoben", vor allem mit Zimmer- und Essens-preisen, is aber schlechter als jedes 20€/Nacht Hotel

Very good guesthouse

Personalen var helt underbar, fantastisk service. Jätte-god mat till rimliga priser. Pool-området var under ombyggnad så de var väl ett litet -, men havet är ju nära så de gjorde inte mej nåt.

Manque d hygiène , plafond qui coule sur le lit , le responsable arnaqueur qui a cacher les défaut et qui pense qu'a l'argent
