Very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel

Great location

A nice little hotel situated right on Omonoia Square. The metro is a 1 min walk and the main area of Athens approx a 10 min walk in a straight line. The rooms were a little small but comfortable all the same and the staff on reception were fantastic. I’d definitely consider staying at this hotel again when in Athens. WiFi was good.

Amazing location close to the Metro walking distance to most main attractions. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall could not fault it for the price.

The hotel is in a busy part of the city. It's very convenient to the plaza station. They have a staff person on site 24/7 making it feel much more secure. It was easy to check in, my room was clean and spacious enough, and the bathroom had all of the amenities. Athens is a very safe city even if it feels different I arrived late evening and was able to sit at the restaurant next to the hotel and have dinner at 11pm. For the price, it really worked out well.

Good to rest your head after a day of sightseeing

Close to the metro. Would not recommend taking the street behind the hotel as it had some seedy characters lurking but overall easy access to public transport and clean room.

Only stayed for 3 nights. It was clean enough to sleep and shower. On the tinier side. Wasnt uncomfortable but it could have been better. I dont think I would stay here again, but no regrets. The staff was super helpful and kind.

Unruly guests were not dealt with

Stayed overnight and were woken by an unruly group who thought 3:30am was good time to be noisy. They did not care about other guests and managed to overload the lift and got stuck and kept us awake for over an hour while they tried to get out yelling at each other in the process. Hotel staff finally managed to free them but staff should have kept them quiet in consideration of other guests.

The room was nice however the area isn’t known for being very good. We didn’t have any issues and had a nice stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was small and the floor got very wet from the shower which was inconvenient but other than that it was a pleasant stay.

We only stayed 1 night, but it was what you expect from an inexpensive room. The room is larger than most in Europe and sleeps 3 people comfortably. Coffee and a mini fridge in room along with a small bathroom.

Property centrally located, a minute or two walk from the subway and about 10 mins walk from Monastiraki Square, it is a decent place for a budget traveler to stay

Right in the centre of Athens . Everything worked, even the shower! Staff are fantastic, especially Vanda, who is incredibly kind and helpful.

The property was clean and acceptable. The staff was exceptional and extremely helpful. The location was central to our needs and the metro and cab stand was very convenient. We walked to several restaurants in the area in day and night and had no problems. However, the area was a little skettchy.

Very good hotel in the center of Athens. Clean room with a private bathroom. I had a fridge, electric kettle, cups, towels and bottles with shampoo. There were enough hangers in the wardrobe. The only thing they could improve is the WiFi signal. Sometimes the signal does not reach my room from the corridor. The hotel is located in close proximity to the subway, shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this place for exploring beautiful Athens.

budget stay is good

good for solo budget traveller, room is spaciou with tv (only one star english channel n bbc news), kettle, fridge, shampoo soap. towel change every day. bed is too soft. air cond heater not function. water heater is unstable. room is clean n service is good, staff allow me to check in early but it is facing street, very noisy. the door and balcony is not soubdproof. this area is very complicated. restaurant and supermarket just nearby.

Good stay ay Elikon after a stressful first night

A stressful start to my stay at Elikon Hotel. I had booked 8 nights and after paying for the room, I sent the hotel an email (in Greek) requesting the room I had stayed in the year before. I received a reply saying that everything was in order and that I could have the room I had requested. When I arrived, the middle-aged female "manager" refused to give me the room the hotel had promised, saying that there is no way the hotel would have promised me that room. I printed out the email I had received from the hotel, and showed her, but she still insisted that the hotel does not reserve rooms for guests - guests are always allocated a room on arrival. I said to her that was fair enough, but the email should have stated that, and should not have promised me the room I had requested. She got quite aggressive at the stage and told me that if I wasn't happy with the situation I could leave and find another hotel. I told her that I would gladly leave if she refunded my money in full. She refused so I stayed. Apart from that episode, my stay there was good. George and Ari, two young employees at reception, are great! Their command of English is very good and they are very accommodating. The house-keeping staff are lovely - very friendly and extremely accommodating. Hotel is only a minute away from the Metro. Area is quite seedy and potentially dangerous at night. Tip: the female manager should be assigned to the back office where she'd have no direct contact with the general public.

Clean and comfortable! Small but basic room. Beds were clean, comfortable and air conditioner worked great! Staff was friendly. Location is convenient- right next to Omonia metro station so easy to get to acropolis, airport and Piraeus by metro.

Slept like the dead

Easy to find hotel just off omonia square. Now the square does attract Athens less salubrious crowd.. But I have never been bothered and not once was I harassed entering/leaving the hotel. Bed was comfy, shared bathroom clean, WiFi worked well in the room and the TV had the BBC! For the money I would stay again definitely!

Everything was beside the shower was small and comfortable.

- I asked for a room on the top floor which I got, but there was no view, just some indoor wall that I could see from my window - the mattress was old and hard - the area (Omonia square) did not seem very safe, some funny people around in the evening - good signal of the WiFi in the room

Muy recomendable y buen precio

Al llegar antes al hotel nos dieron en 10 minutos la habitación, teníamos que entrar a las 11 y nos la dieron a las 10:15h muy agradecidos, por que estábamos cansados del viaje, hasta llegar al hotel y la verdad que pese a a ser un hotel de 2 estrellas, nos encantó la acogida del personal y la habitación estaba muy bien, para 3 personas, también está muy bien conectado y tienes múltiples servicios cercanos, como super, tiendas, etc….

Mala experiencia

Elikon hotel es muy pequeño, no tiene ascensor hasta la recepción que está en un segundo piso. Desde ahí a los pisos superiores hay un monta cargas muy pequeño. Está ubicado en pleno centro pero se aprecia el entorno muy inseguro, con mucha gente en situación de calle en los alrededores. El personal muy amable y con mucha disposición.

Hyvä hinta-laatusuhde. Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Hotelli sijaitsi hyvien kulkuyhteyksien varrella ja kävellen pääsi liikkumaan sujuvasti. Ainoa miinus oli, että hotelli sijaitsi hämyisen kadun varrella, jossa oli paljon kodittomia. Yksin en olisi uskaltanut liikkua hämärä aikaan.

Great value in the very heart of Athens

Simple, accessible and central located hotel in condition as you might expect from a budget hotel. We paid €43 a night, which gives excellent access to the obvious and most basic, good enough! Nice staff and clean room, quite noisy due to thin doors from the hallway though. The hotel are located in the same building as a large well-stocked bakery and next to a supermarket. No traffic into the junction, but you certainly fall asleep to the city's intense traffic flows. We didn’t experience any perceived insecurity, which some comments like to point out. It’s nod Skid Row! But just like in other big cities a certain vigilance and common sense are required here too. Perfect for a 2-night weekend in Athens for those who want to experience the city and not stay inside the hotel more than necessary.

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen, sonst war es sehr durchwachsen. Es gab keine Heizung nur eine Klimaanlage, deswegen war es sehr kalt und es hat auch fürchterlich gezogen, da die Fenster undicht waren. Das Inventar ist so lala, nicht schlimm, aber auch nicht gut. Die Dame an der Rezeption sprach fast kein Englisch, sie verstand also nicht was ich wollte. Und bereits gegen 8 Uhr in der Früh machten die Zimmermädchen einen enormen krach. Muss ich nicht nochmal buchen

Perfetto per visitare la città

Buon Hotel, la stanza era piccola con un bagno minuscolo. Ma la posizione dell'albergo è perfetto per visitare la città. Ottimo il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

L'hotel è in una buona posizione, praticamente a pochi passa dalle metro. La camera è sempre stata pulita E' ottima per chi non ha esigenze particolari e per chi deve solo dormirci. L'unica nota negativa è il letto che per due persone è veramente piccolo!

Vi skulle kun bo i Athen i 2 nætter og derfor var Elikon Hotel helt perfekt. Vi boede meget centralt og der var intet problem

Ótimo custo beneficio

Local limpo e cama confortável. Funcionários super atenciosos. Muito próximo ao metrô. Ótima estação pois fica muito próxima aos bairros principais onde se encontram as atrações turísticas. Único ponto negativo é que o bairro onde fica localizado o hostel é um pouco perigoso. É preciso ficar atento na saída do metro.
