Wish we understood there was no elevator. Staff were excellent. Convenient location.
Good hotel for a base in munich, didnt have breakfast but rooms clean, comfortable and compact
Didn't know our room 401 was actually on the 3rd floor. Carried luggage up and back down the steps to the reception area when we couldn't find our room on the 4th floor. ( we thought maybe there was another wing to this hotel) Wish we would have been told this at check in as we were hot and tired from travel.
Fleas, Noise and No Refunds
The room was extremely small with strong odor of deodorant used to mask cigarette smoke although the door has a no-smoking sign on it above the lock. Outside the window were fire escapes all up and down the exterior while the location near the rail station (Munich 's red light District ) would make one uneasy about keeping the window at night, which given the size of the room might have been necessary. The bathroom appeared clean but had pigeon droppings across the window and an odor of its own sort. The final straws were the fact that I could hear every word spoken by neighbouring guests whether on the phone or in person and every footstep and door closed as if it were in my room. The other last straw that whilst laying in bed there was the constant sensation of little things jumping on me like perhaps fleas except I couldn't see any. I just needed to leave. The construction sites immediately around the hotel and the rail station neighborhood aside, it was a great relief to have checked out and left. Definitely not recommended. Hotel management refused to refund any of the stay despite leaving the same evening.
Average stay
Convenient location that was walkable and could access main train station and s and u trains. Hotel wasn’t the cleanest, there looked to be mold in the grout of showers. The front desk staff was hit or miss in terms of helpfulness but overall I’d stay for a short time.
Nice little cafe and smoking area. 15 min walk to Oktoberfest. They have free luggage storage.
Shower had mold in it. Stayed for 4 nights and never received any housekeeping. Changed reservation from 5 nights to 4 nights 2 months in advance of booking but hotel refused to only charge us for days stayed. Asked for a receipt, they have yet to provide one. You have to walk up 4 flights of stairs as there is no elevator. Location is very loud. All night you can hear screaming and sirens coming from outside. Would not stay here again
The breakfast can have some improvements, more variety
Property is very conveniently located for getting around Munich. Despite its central location it is pretty quiet. The rooms themselves aren’t particularly new or noteworthy - but they served their purpose amiably.
Being on the 4th floor on a hot day was hard because the fans in the room weren’t stronger than if someone was using a paper fan. It cooled to 21 Celsius overnight and I tried to put the fan in the window to bring in cooler air but the fan was too weak. Then after sweating all night we were charged for waters. The sheets were also quite scratchy.
What a lovely little hotel. My bad that I didn’t realize that loud soccer fans would be everywhere. I wouldn’t walk around at night alone, but during the day and staying in groups was fine. That’s the neighborhood, not the hotel.
The room was ok. Very good location. The only problem is that the room had no AC. At least it was cool and we could open the windows.
fantastic staff great location near stations good breakfast value for money
Property was good. Breakfast could be better, with a upgrade to a cooked breakfast
The wall adjacent to this HORRIBLE hotel is under construction from 8 AM - 6 PM. The linens (sheets and towels) smell like fish, and there are mice in the walls. I checked out after the first night. The hotel owner is a thief. He would not refund me, despite the poor condition of this HORRIBLE, INACCESSIBLE hotel. I lost $1,000. BEWARE!!
Property only had stairs, no elevator. And room was very hot and humid with no air conditioning
Passable
Very small room, inapropriate for 2 adults, no room for luggage, tiny bathroom, dated common places, good breakfast. Friendly staff, good location. Given the size of the twin room, I would't recommend this hotel.
Very helpful and friendly staff
Just skip this place. The sheets were shabby, the hair dryer didn’t work, the shower drained so slowly that you’re standing in ankle deep water, and the every movement of every other guest can be heard.
Beds were not comfortable. Good location
Would not recommend, especially if you have problems with stairs. Our room (attic) space converted to one room with a bathroom was at the very top of the building. Five flights of stairs, and had to carry heavy luggage up, very difficult even without the luggage. Going down the stairs with luggage was not easy either.
We were disappointed that there was only green tea available in the room. As a minimum I would suggest that instant coffee should be available at the front desk. Also beer was advertised but not available. These are simple things but they detracted from our stay.
This was a simple clean quiet hotel near the train station. The staff were very accommodating. The bed was comfortable and it was super clean. If you need a nice place to sleep near the train, stay here.
One night at Hotel Eder
The hotel staff were amazing and very accommodating. The single room I had a just right for my one night stay. Breakfast was very nice
The property was close to the train station, and15 minutes walk to tourist district. The walk up the stairs was a bit tough with luggage. Breakfast was good, staff very helpful. Clean but small rooms, comfortable beds, bedding.
Great location near train and city center. Everything you need is right there. Friendly staff and clean location
Keep looking
No elevator, rickety stairs. We used the luggage storage and they don't have a 24 hr desk attendant. After 10pm until not sure when, you have to call another hotel. We needed to leave for an early flight and had to call to try to retrieve our luggage. The guy they have to respond is not friendly at all. I stayed here years ago, but certainly won't be staying here again.
Not sutable for Bussiness trip
Great Hotel! Great staff and clean. Close to shopping and close to the trains and busses.
This is a nice small hotel near tourist sights, shopping, transportation, and restaurants. There is a lot of construction in Munich and the noise started at 7 am. I was also very cold in my room despite the radiator being warm.
We only stayed here 1 night during Oktober fest for the convenient location. The place is perfect for short stay in München right across the main train station.
Charming lobby and breakfast area, with a nice selection of items to eat. No elevator or air conditioning. Easy walk to Marienplatz and Oktoberfest. Noisy at night due to need for open windows during our stay. Close to the train station for easy, affordable transportation to the airport. Very helpful front desk staff.
Walking distance from every important area

Personalen hade ställt in fläktar.
Kleines Hotel. alles super.

Comfortable and clean
The twin room is very small. Looks bigger in the pictures. We were travelling with large suitcases and there is no room to put them anywhere. The format of the room is a little strange. The bathroom door entrance is right between the single beds. It is none the less comfortable, warm and clean. It is very well located to public transport and to Old Town - all walking distance. We were travelling in winter time.
