Didn’t appreciate the hidden parking fee, place was empty. Just a way to nickel and dime you. First room deadbolt didn’t work, second room almost the same issue. Bed was comfortable at least. Mosquitoes , I killed about 10 of them within the hour. Location is close to everything which was the only benefit. Room condition lamp was broken, air conditioner was noisy. Just run down. Maintaining on a budget. WiFi worked. Wouldn’t trust any breakfast that’s offered. Staff was friendly. One and done.

Out of the whole hotel room only one single lightbulb worked. Sheets were stained, room did not look clean, and water didn’t get hot. I’ve stayed at hotels almost half this price that were more presentable.

Booked through Expedia because it was a good deal. At the office there was a sign asking for 100 dollar deposit but they only charged me 50 dollars plus a 10 dollar parking fee which wasn't mentioned on Expedia. I felt the staff was just trying to make some money. When checked out the person in the office went to check the room before giving me the deposit back. Room was okay but the sheets had a shoe mark on it which means it wasn't cleaned. Im not ataying there again.

Broken nightstand, towels with blaches of stains. Hotels. Com should send one there on a blind stay to see fir themselves. No tissues. Paint peel off the walls. As soon as you enter and check in you can tell what your hotel stay and room will be like. Charge d $10 for parking which I was unaware of.

Door key didn't work...walk back to the office, got another door key. AC didn't work...walk back to the office, manager went to my room, said it should start working soon, would get me another room if it didn't. Left for my event, came back later. Asked at office, AC not working, got another room. Asked about the luggage I left in the room...oops! They forgot. Gave me a key to the room with the bad AC. Door didn't work. Walk back to the office, got a 2nd key. Moved my luggage to my new room (slight upgrade for all my trouble)...life is good. Management got me over the finish line, but property needs more maintenance.

Great place for the price

The area/location is a little sketchy, but it is what it is. The room itself is very comfortable, beds slept nicely. Cold AC. Friendly service. We only stayed our first night in here, stayed at the Hilton (also, was a great stay but muuuuuch more costly) the subsequent nights...next time, we will stay here and Uber.

The first room they tried to put us in was invested with roaches everywhere. They did accommodate and put us in another room. Neither room looked like the pictures shown. There is no couch with a pull out bed. They charged $25/night for my son that decided to go last minute. They also charged $10/night for parking. Then the $100 security deposit. I will not be recommending this place to anyone and I will not be back.

Easy to check in. But the room had so many mosquitos in the room, of 5 day i was there, it took me 3 days to kill them. Another WEIRD thing was, my room smelled like the front desk guy cologne. I do not wear cologne. My "do not disturb sign" was out of the slot on the door & was hanging on the handle. Though nothing was missing/moved, i could help feel like someone was entering the room while i was out. I found it creepy

Somehow i endeded in a disabled room with very poor conditions. I entered the office and from the broken curtains and dirty, ugky couch I knew, in adittion the front desk guy was rude, unpolite and they posted a 100 dollars deposit which was not in web. I asked for a different room because i am not disable, 2 friends also book rooms.So 3 rooms, Dirty sheets, horrible smell from the bathroom pipes. They need a deep cleaning with clorox sodt scrub and put the office guy to pick the horrible mess he has there. He was so rude there was a guy getting a coffee at 11 on Sunday, evefybody was turning keys he called the guy in front of everybidy and said the breakfast was over, just a simple cup of coffee. I do not recommend this location at all.

Filthy, falling apart, and in a really grungy neighborhood. WiFi doesn't work. They say coffee is available 24/7 and that breakfast is available in the lobby starting at 6. I went down to get some coffee at 6:10 and the lobby was locked up tight. It always looks like no one is in the lobby, but they must stay out of sight, because after I tried the door a young man appeared to ask what I wanted. When I said I thought coffee was supposed to be available 24/7, he checked the time and said "5 minutes". This is hands down the worst place I've ever stayed, and I've spent significant time in combat zones. Looks like they never clean common areas - cigarette butts everywhere on the stairs, walkways, etc. The rooms are non-smoking, but people smoke literally everywhere and drop their cigarette butts wherever they are. No one ever swept them up. The shower curtain in our room was too short, so water went all over the floor and leaked out under the door. The sheets, towels, curtains, walls, everything was stained and filthy. The "Continental breakfast" is plain bagels, plain white bread, and a choice between two cereals (Fruit Loops and Raisin Bran). The juice machine had no juice, and only spit out water. The milk was in a jug that they haphazardly tossed on the counter. There was coffee. That's all there was for breakfast. The only positive thing I can say is that it was a short walk downtown through a quiet neighborhood.

This place was a dive. We had to get the sheets changed since they had pee and cigarette holes and blood stains. The floors were filthy and the air conditioner was grimy and dirty. Even after they cleaned we had to ask for supplies to do it again it was disgusting. We saw mold in the bathroom and bugs all over. Breakfast was only cereal and coffee. There were no apologies or discounts offered. Horrible.

You get what you pay for. The front desk guy Harry was kind. The room was cold with AC but hadn’t been cleaned properly in a long time (toilet, fridge, shower were gross). Bed was wrapped in plastic and sounded like a diaper when you moved. Sketchy people everywhere and beside the highway. Stained towels but the beds seemed clean. No one came to our rooms while we were there and no one informed us there was no service. Parking lot as free. 2 stars. Had worse. Works on a tight budget.

The staff was nice. But, the room was a no no for me. The iron wires were exposed I couldn’t use it because it coming apart when using. The door handle from the inside was coming off. To open the door from inside would take about 4-10 minutes until you successfully open the door to get out. That one is bad. A person can die in there in case of fire. Sink wasn’t draining water. Dirty toilets. Upgrade needed. Stuff was nice (good feedback)

When walking intonrm 107, the room stunk. The bedspreads smelled bad. The sheets were clean just not the comforter. There were two german roaches that greeted us on the back of the door. There was a roach in the sink. Two small roaches in the shower. When i took a shower there was a roach on the ceiling watching me and there was another roach that creeped out from behind the shower curtain to enjoy the show. We would had stayed somewhere else but already paid for the room and it was late.

Our toilet was not functional due to there being no water in it, towels had stains on them, the door did not close all the way. The place is nothing like the pictures used for promotional purposes. My room was dirty/ filthy, windows, mirrors and counter tops that hadn’t been cleaned. It advertised a breakfast and we got cereal & bagels only. Very disappointed and even asked if i could cancel my stay once I arrived, but I was told i would still be charged, which wasn't cheap. My advice to anyone who's thinking of staying here, DON'T. You're better of somewhere else with much more and better amenities and services than this place at the same price as this location.

Poor conditions

Upon arrival to the room we noticed the ac was not working and the toilet wouldn’t flush. After speaking with front desk we were moved to another room, but unfortunately in the second room the tv wasn’t working properly and the shower head was broke also. The water was barely coming out. The room was also marked as non smoking but had a strong smell of smoke.

Solo traveler wants cleanliness, comfort, convenience and quiet. Room was clean, but garbage can outside the room was not changed in 3 days I was there. Comfort was ok. I’m not a fan of mattress covers. Didn’t use the air conditioner until the last night when I realized it didn’t get cold even setting at 61. Didn’t use the other nights because it was too loud and it wasn’t that hot. The hotel I’d located a block away from the path to “River Walk”. I was able to walk, round trip to the Alamo. (I’m 70 yo) The place is quiet. That said…the place is OLD!! Besides the air conditioner the toilet backed up twice. On both occasions I was handed a plunger. I didn’t mind, but I doubt that most hotels have their guests deal with the problem. Breakfast, if you can call it that, coffee, if you get there on time, juice, toast or bagel, again if you get there on time, and a choice of 2 cereals. Only way I would stay again is if I was staying one night and it was the only hotel available at that price. Positive? I thought everyone on the staff was fantastic.

Do not feel safe

It was in a bad area, I felt scared. It was noisy. There was mold in the bathroom that had been painted over. We tried to leave a day early and get a refund but we were denied. They also took a $50 deposit which we have not received yet.

There were roaches in the bathroom. We switched the room, but no telephone was connected, no TV remove working and no Internet connected. When I flipped the bed sheets, there were bits of Doritos came out. We had a really bad experience. The motel needs the major updates and better bed making.

Beware hidden fees! Got a good price for the hotel on the expedia app. Got there and was charged $100 deposit (more than i originally paid for the room and I still need to confirm that charge falls off my statement), and another $10 nonrefundable "property fee" that i had already paid when booking. Single men sitting around outside of rooms (I was a traveling single Mom) and the smell of weed fills the air. The beds seemed clean, feet turn back when walking around without shoes. Someone elses hair tie around the handle in the bathroom. The hot water in the sink did'nt work (like no response when turned, nothing happens) and the stopper in the sink stays down so i had to pull it out (gross) to get the sink to drain. Some of the lighting didnt work. Over all, if you're looking for a cheaper alternative in San Antonio, there are better for less.

Riverwalk "area" is a joke. Not even walkable unless you're a track and field athlete. Also, a deposit was another hidden surprise. The front desk clerk was nice, though.

Staff were great! Kind of a sketchy neighborhood....staff recommended taking an UBER as opposed to walking anywhere.

Worked fine for me.

I was only there one night for a biz appt the next morning. The property and lobby were a bit dicey and I was worried about my car getting broken into overnight (I was the only check in at 7pm), but more guests arrived, so it was less scary. The rooms turned out to be a lot nicer than I expected. With all the guests there that night, my room was surprisingly quiet, comfortable and well-appointed with a large mini-fridge, small microwave oven, multi-channel TV, free internet and a large, comfortable bed. P.S, There's a really good Chinese restaurant only a block away.

I was charged a double deposit!! They took the deposit and it would take 10 days to correct. Next roaches....need I say more? The toilet did not work properly and I had an early business meeting that I needed to leave for at 5:30 am. I asked the staff to confirm the directions because it was dark out side and I was unfamiliar with he area. The person manning the front desk was completely sleep and dd not open the door until I called for the 3rd time. He made it clear he did not want to help me and refused to give directions. that was the customer service. Will not be back under any circumstances.

No hot water night of check in, but water wasn't too cold, so we weren't too concerned. Next night, there was no water at all. We were not notified by anyone. We called the front desk and told them. They said they were aware of the situation. It was a city problem and they were working on it. We asked if we would be able to check out early for a partial refund. They said no. The best they could do was offer us an additional two hours for checkout the next day and that the water would be on. Next day, we still did not have any water. When we went to check out, the person at the front desk said the water was on. It wasn't. The water was running at a low trickle and extremely cold. Hotel continued to refuse a refund and stated if we had tried to leave the night before, we would have received the refund. I explained what we were told the night before. Staff made excuses. We were then told to contact the third party we booked from since the hotel could not offer a refund because I did not book with them directly. I contacted the third party. The third party contacted the hotel, and the hotel continued to refuse a partial refund. Once a complaint was made online, hotel claimed they tried to find us other lodgings. They did not. No offer was ever made. No notices were posted, no letters given to customers about the situation, no other options were present. Never booking this hotel again.

Got to our room, the toilet wouldn’t flush.. wasn’t because of us, I call the front desk to tell them and they proceeded to tell me to walk up there to get a plunger. Second day I needed towels, they made me walk my dirty ones up there in order to get new ones. Instead of just bringing them and getting the dirty. Never had a hotel do either before..

Front desk staff was amazing, our bathroom wasn't fully cleaned found a few bugs as well. TV is an older model, bed sheets had stains. A bit noisy and you can definitely hear the train at night. Other than that is is a nice room and roomy.

At this price good place to stay, breakfast provided, there was pool but we didn’t use it as it was cold. Very close to interstate (free way) is one of the cons in my opinion however wasn’t that noisy for taking sound sleep at night. Overall, decent place. I would stay again if I travel that area again.

Find mispromises as while booking we seen daily housekeeping but at property we have been told this is limited to week or only when guest ask. Size of bathroom uneven and no proper water flow direction

The room looked okay when 1st walking in then you start to noticed all the damage. Shower curtains were stained, paint was bad and we found to roaches. Dont recommend this place at all

Friendly staff. The room was extremely dirty; food on the floor, stained and sticky as well, cockroaches on the side of the bed, hairs and dead insects on the shower - very dirty. Manager offered to clean it or a change of room. When you manage a property, managers need to make sure that the rooms are in good conditions, clean and the bed cloth are with out stains or tear off: this was not the case. What will make anyone thing that the other available rooms were going to be in a good condition. The manager didn’t allowed a refund.

The shower still has a lot of hair on the floor, and the sheets tons of cigarette holes also they ask for a 100us per room for "security" fee without any kind of receipt they said is"refundable" once we check out, but expedia don't said nothing about that, Terrible place and terrible service.
